A real wild one.

Writing is a passion of mine that I have indulged in for a few years now.  Though I haven’t yet published a novel, I have written many short stories and poems that I hope to add to this blog – razorbackwriteraus.  I am a huge fan of role play with a love of character creation.  My favorite genres include; science fiction, fantasy, human interest and supernatural.  My blog will also contain collaborations with some of my fellow writers on various RPG sites.

  1. anyway don’t give up on writing, a suggestion if you don’t mind…don’t go hunting for the likes, write because you can’t breathe, read Henry Miller, or any damn writer that inspires you, but don’t, what ever you do give up because to write well you must make sure ‘you jump right in the middle’, there’s no right or wrong, just write…anyway this old dog is tired…..have a good night/morning…cheers

  2. I don’t usually leave messages like this on others sites, despite everyone telling me that’s what I need to do in order to get people to come to my site. Even rarer still is the fact that I don’t often push the little like button situated under everyone’s posts. I’m thinking that because I don’t really do those things, no one else does them on my site as well. This fact really sucks, especially when I actually want people to like my stuff…..I’m here now to say thank you for sometimes liking what I’ve written. There have been times that I thought what I wrote was hilarious but as the day went on with no one responding, I would think that I only appeal to myself where writing is concerned. Then usually around 2 am my time, you would wake up in your Australian future(am I a day behind or ahead of you? Isnt your Christmas my summer? So your actually like 6 months ahead which is freaky. But also makes no sense because its like, a two day trip to Oz by plane(6 by hot air balloon, unless a tornado is involved) from Arizona….maybe the plane goes through a worm hole or something, but if thats true then why isn’t that a more popular way of travel. But if it is a worm hole then that might explain why your toilets flush backwards as opposed to mine….parallel dimensions must come into play I guess and things like string theory(which isnt much of a theory…I mean the string is right there, cats love string, so it should no longer be a theory, right? But if you do live in another dimension, one that has waaaaayyyy more animals that can kill you or ruin your day, then could you please make the band One Direction come back to where you live? Cuz I can’t stand how much my daughter likes them, especially in the car, its all I hear…)What was I talking about? Oh yeah…..thanks for always sometimes liking what I write, at least I know someone out there occasionally gets my sense of humor….So thanks…………..

    Also, I wonder how many will read this comment and think that I’m serious in everything I said……wait,I was serious about the thank you, thats true, I mean serious about the two day trip by plane…..everyone knows it only takes 12 hours now…..

    • Being on the bottom end of the world means a great many things. For example, either God had a sense of humor, or he just wanted to put a large chunk of the most venomous creatures on earth smack bang on this little island we call Oz. Everything here is upside down, back the front and topsy turvy.

      One Direction have been here, not sure if they liked it, I know they liked the NOVA FM secretary, but that’s a story for another time. Too many young girls take that band too seriously…or they have ridiculous fantasies of actually having one of them for a boyfriend. Happy to say, they are not my cup of tea.
      I do make an effort to check up on your blog, and I enjoy it. Tis why I leave my little razorback boar stamp as a like. Though I am not usually long winded with my comments, though if you get me started on why the cost of fuel is so much more in the bush than it is in the big smoke, I would have sore fingers from all the frantic typing.

      Answering a few things though;
      Yes, Christmas is in Summer, and while that might not sound great to you up there in the northern part of the world, it has its benefits. Not having to cook a hot meal on Christmas day being one of them.
      We are a two day flight away, that is true…but the beauty in that is it is a bloody long way to come if you have to swim, so I am not too worried about the Zombie Apocalypse that some friends of mine in the US keep warning me about.
      Also, I am technically in the future….so if it is the end of the world, I’ll know first.

      Cheers for taking the time to write such a terrific comment. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am off to go see which way the water flushes in my loo. Never took much notice before now.

      RB 🙂

  3. Thank you! ¡Muchas gracias! 非常感謝!Большое спасибо! I will come and read your stories. When I saw Razorback*writer*aus…I thought Arkansas state (mascot of the uni) in the US and then thought AUStin, Texas. But I see from the comments you are in Australia. I loved Melbourne and Sidney. I thought the people were pretty awesome. Anyway, G’day mate! Okay, that was lame. Sorry. I’ll shut up now.

  4. Thank you for visiting my blog and reading it. For a new blogger like me it means a lot!
    I see you are from Australia. I am an avid cricket nut. And for this simple reason I must hate you because your cricket team beats us very regularly. But may be…this world cup we shall have our revenge. Cheers!

  5. Thanks for dropping by http://wdfyfe.net/ again. i have been poking around your blog and you’ve got all kinds of cool stuff here. The Wilson sisters were local talent before they became Heart. I’m old enough to remember them way back when. It’s cool to see they still appeal to young people.

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I’m glad you liked the piece on my misadventures in understanding communication between men and women. I loved the idea of your “misheard lyrics”. I’m trying to think of the most ridiculous ones that I held on to the longest.
