Time stops – Hell’s Kitchen : SS

~They say that when you meet the love of your life, time stops – and that’s true.~

Narcissa was more or less lost on everything that had just taken place. She resorted to standing idly by, silent as everything was handled by the Doctor alone. More or less, anyway. Everyone had parted on their own without her having to see them out, or ensure that no detours were made. She would simply look after them each time they went, eyes following them curiously before they turned back to Wilhelm. The room was silent again without anyone left to make demands to the man. Narcissa, who had began to look dull, perked up enough that light seemed to flash back in her eyes and the corners of her lips turned up slightly. This was the face best worn for the others in Hell’s Kitchen. It didn’t last long though. The sound of the lift having been silenced in the distance, it was only when the frankensteinian girl began walking toward Wilhelm that he staggered and clutched a work bench. “Doctor?” Her smile faltered while she slowed midstep, reaching out as though to help steady him from where she stood. Everything…I did, I did for love. Narcissa didn’t know what the Doctor meant as he continued speaking, but the tone of his voice and his expression concerned even her. The girl’s usually smiling face was now sporting a frown. The tear that rolled down his cheek as he looked at her caused her to freeze further; this was not the Wilhelm she knew. But she understood he had deeper feelings than happiness, like everyone in Hell’s Kitchen. Narcissa would stare back at him as he stood before her and patted her shoulder. “Wilhelm…” The monster never said the Doctor’s name. Not ever. She did now, but without knowing what she wanted to say to him.

Not that it would matter in the end. She looked in the direction that he turned, and as he walked away to a control panel. From here the monster took a step toward him and stopped again, as though she was unsure what to do in their current situation. Narcissa was obviously confused to what situation was being brought up, but she had a gut feeling that it was bad. Was Wilhelm in the right state of mind? Had the deal he just made meant something bad for him? Something bad for Hell’s Kitchen? She had barely heard his whisper before the sirens started blaring around the pair, red lights flashing over the originally green lit room. There was no answer for that question, as she couldn’t begin to guess what his secret might have been. Even remembering the short moment from the previous night while he helped her pick out a mask, she could come up with nothing. Her mind wouldn’t delve that deep while she recognized that the Doctor was in low spirits now and saying weird things. “Doctor, I don’t…” Narcissa’s eyes dragged away from him, shooting toward the lift when she heard the hunchback scream for him. His continuous calling only frightened her before she looked back to see Wilhelm swaying on his stool. He would kill himself with blood loss… But why wasn’t she moving to remove the IV needle from his arm? “Doctor, please!” She clutched onto her white coat nervously, looking deeply concerned for him. It felt like her feet were stuck to the ground. She could always reach the lift and attempt to get out, but she didn’t know the code either. What did that mean for her? Narcissa looked to the insulators that were bubbling; the first one finally broke and something hideous fell out. One of the Doctor’s creations, no doubt. Was there any hope to control these things? For her? She tried to pay no mind to the way it roared at her, baring its terrible fangs. Normally, she wouldn’t be bothered by this sort of thing, but she was always in company of the good Doctor and the rest of the team. Now she was alone, and Wilhelm seemed crazed…at least compared to his normal personality and ideas. But the set up here was planned; this had been his way to bring his army to life, so he was thinking clearly. “Doctor!” she cried out, despite the heaps of goopy bodies falling to the ground around the tomb. Narcissa had to lunge forward to catch him before he hit the ground, sobbing. Her cries were dry, as her tear ducts didn’t work. “Don’t be dead! I like you alive!” She pulled the IV needle form his arm at long last, if the fall hadn’t done so for her, and she stood up to look at the standing undead, shoulders shaking as she clutched onto Wilhelm with the hope that he was only unconscious. Narcissa would begin to back away toward the lift, one hand reaching for her rod that she kept tucked in her coat pocket while she propped the Doctor against her shoulder.

Hell’s Kitchen – Cardis Tomb

~They say that when you meet the love of your life, time stops – and that’s true.~

The scene in Cardis tomb was now apocalyptic. Blasts of electrical energy, sparks pouring out of so many machines, the bright flashing of warning lamps that signaled the great danger that had been unleashed by the actions of the Doctor. One by one, the vast army was collapsing out from the insulated bubbles that had kept them suspended for near to ten years. It was the sight of nightmares, one of the scariest things imaginable. In the middle of all this, a terrified and confused Narcissa was struggling to save the doctor, who had collapsed due to sheer blood loss. The secret ingredient to the Doctor’s masterpiece….his own blood. Pale, and barely able to keep his eyelids from closing his figure was limp against the female monster. But while his body seemed to have all but given up on life, in his mind’s eye…..he could see….her.

The scene was all black and white. That same street where they last saw each other. The night that Wilhelm was to give her his ring. There was no cars, no other people. Just Missy standing on the other side of the road. God, she looked beautiful. Wilhelm looked down and saw he was wearing his usual lab gear however. Was this what death was like?

“Wilhelm!” She cried out, almost shocked to see him in this place. Was it the afterlife? It certainly wasn’t hell, but it wasn’t heaven either.

“Missy?” Wilhelm started to run across the road and Missy did the same, till they both reached the center and hugged each other. Missy was crying as she kept stroking Wilhelm’s head. The world was all but frozen, as though they were the only people left. Wilhelm hugged her as if his very life depended upon it. Missy put her hands to cup his cheeks and kissed him repeatedly, though now both were crying. It had been so long. For all the horrible things that the Doctor had done in trying to keep her alive, he had never again seen her spirit, till now.

https://keyassets.timeincuk.net/inspirewp/live/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2015/01/Dan-Deakin-APOY-14-r1-589x400.jpg

Breaking the kiss, they stared at each other. Lost in each other’s eyes and this very moment. “I’ve been with you all along, Wil. I saw what the Dark one did. He tricked you. Of all the ones you could never bring back, it was me.”

“Why….why couldn’t you come back to me?’ He blubbered, fighting to get the question out. The one that had plagued him for so long.

“Someone had to be your angel, Wil”

It was then that it all started to make sense. Doing a deal with a devil like Shamus brought only a cruel and sick joke in the form of what he thought was his beloved Missy. The Dark One wanted the Doctor all along. To be the creator of the army that would ruin the balance of Hell once and for all. Dangling the carrot that he could have his love back. Missy brought up Wilhem’s fingers to her lips and kissed them.

“But now….now we can be together.”

Wilhelm started to smile as his eyes shined with tears. it was what he wanted…what he wanted all along. Just to be with her.

Just then a hollow sounding voice rang out through the empty street.

“Doctor!”

Both the Doctor and Missy turned – their faces hit by a strong wind that was the world starting up again. Time had stopped, this was true…but on the other side, the female monster was in great danger.

“Don’t be dead! I like you alive!”

Her panicked screams were now growing louder, as the force of wind was turning into that same storm that fell the night that Missy died. It was like he was about to watch a repeat of history.

“NO!” The Doctor was torn from Missy’s hands and was now seated in the restaurant, the ring box in his hand. Missy was back on the other side of the street, about to cross the road. The look of horror on Wilhelm’s face was apparent, as the street filled again with cars and people. Wilhelm shot up out of his chair and smashed his fists against the glass window of the restaurant as Missy stepped out onto the road……

The tomb was now alive with the roars and sound of the undead army finally awakening. It was led by the first of the creatures to break out from its insulated bubble of goo. Wilhelm’s fingers twitched slightly, as he placed it into his pocket, only to pull out a key card that fit into the slot under the lift control panel. If Narcissa could get the card into the slot before the monsters attacked, it would activate the lift – which would open on the top floor to allow Loc and Igor to enter and come to their rescue.

With all the sparks and electricity being unleashed from the machines around the room, Narcissa jumped back toward the wall leading to the lift. Her body was highly conductive; metal everywhere, even on her lab coat. She frantically looked from the electricity to the Doctor in her arms. There was no choice to pull out her weapon while holding him as well; she merely backed toward the lift further while the undead continued to drop onto the floor one by one. Taking a moment to look at his face, the girl could at least see that his eyes weren’t completely closed. They seemed to be fluttering; it was a sign. Her calls were continued until she noticed his fingers twitching. She would give another dry sob, looking relieved and somehow still panicked. “Wilhelm, you’re alive!” she called, rejoicing. His hand was dipping into his pocket, pulling out a key card. Narcissa’s eyes widened slightly before she grabbed it from him quickly and held onto him tighter. Looking up in time for one of the undead to lunge toward her with a massive growling roar. She jumped back, using her enhanced movements to increase the distance until she was next to the lift. The key card was pushed into place. The lift wouldn’t be on her floor, sadly…due to the leaving of the prince and his allies… Now Narcissa would have to wait, holding the Doctor tightly while keeping an eye on the undead not far off from them. “IGOR! HURRY!” she screamed, ensuring they heard her above. The girl was shaking, despite everything she had done…and was doing…for the sake of the Doctor.

Hell’s Kitchen – The Laboratory

Up in the foyer, the lights were flickering on and off as the power systems were taking a beating. Down below the harrowing screams and vicious sound of the awakened army was the very thing of nightmares. Igor was still beating on the doors when all of a sudden with a loud whoosh they opened as though by magic. Igor fell forward and landed on the interior of the lift with a splat, and down through the elevator sharft you could hear Narcissa scream for him to hurry. The hunchback had to scramble to get to his feet and could see Loc just outside the lift, his hands pressed to his ears as he continued to scream in protest to the noise below.

“LOC!…LOC! Get your arse in here. They need us!”

The creation was like an over sized child. Terrified of what was happening and not paying the hunchback any attention. His eyes were practically bulging out of his sockets, and the screams he made grew louder. There was no time for this. Each second that they lost meant that the Doctor and Narcissa would not be able to make it out of Cardis Tomb alive. The hunchback having no idea what the Doctor had done, or if he or Narcissa were injured.

“LOC! THEY NEED US NOW!” Never before had the hunchback shown such courage under the circumstances. But thankfully, the words he just yelled struck a cord within the massive creature. Even though he himself was terrified, he ambled into the lift, and this was when Igor slammed his hand on the close button. The lift now rocketing down to the special tomb, where all hell had truly broken loose.

Down in the tomb itself, the leader of the undead army was roaring at Narcissa who was doing everything she possibly could to get out of the monster’s reach. The sparks of electricity in behind him were now raining down from above. The smell of burning flesh was stifling to the senses. Being held tightly by the female creation, the Doctor groaned and tried to mumble something, but it was incoherent due to the loud noises of all the creatures breaking free of their cocooned shells. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The injection of his blood was to be done under controlled conditions. The fact that he did what he did, by practically giving all his blood in one go was a death wish. The reaction by the many creatures was a shocking catalyst. With barely enough energy to open his eyes, the Doctor reached out with his right hand towards the leader of his army.

~ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!~

~Whooosh~ The doors to the lift tore open with Igor gasping at the sight before him. Never…had he seen anything like this before. All the bodies they had harvested for over ten years, all coming to life at once.

“OH GOD!” He screamed, as he then turned to see Narcissa with the Doctor just to the side of the lift entrance. “I got you!”The hunchback clamored out and tried to help Narcissa with the Doctor, to drag him into the lift, when the leader of the army made a swipe for the trio………except…..

“FATHER!!!!” Loc roared, as he threw himself into harms way. Loc’s fist connecting with the undead army leader’s jaw, knocking him back. It was enough to give Igor the chance to help Narcissa and the Doctor…..but at great cost.

“GO!” the creation screamed as the trio were about to be safely inside the lift. Igor couldn’t believe what Loc was doing.“GET IN, LOC!” But instead of getting in, Loc slammed his hand on the lift panel, so that the doors would shut and the three could get away.

The last thing they would see, would be Loc’s determined face….as the undead leader drove his fist right through Loc’s body, ripping out his stitched heart.

Ruby – Part Eight : SS.

Zu:  Ruby heard the question that Valmont asked, following what was written on her board. Ruby only seen this words being said and written in letters she would see when killing targets in their homes. She had quite the memory of these words, and surprisingly could write them out too. Ruby came up to Valmont and took his hand, giving a small tug to her direction to indicate that she wanted him to come with. There was no way Ruby would leave Valmont alone, not after what they’ve went through recently. She couldn’t fight the urge to go where her mind was taking her. She never once felt this way before, to try and really find out about herself. Maybe it was Valmont’s kindness that sparked this into her conscious, but that would mean it was there to begin with.

Ruby, once Valmont followed her lead, went to the front gate and looked for the carriage that Valmont used when they first meet. It may be a long journey and unlike herself, Valmont didn’t seem like the type for long distance travel without a little help.

The Embassy of Hell.

The small tug on his hand made Valmont aware that Ruby wished to leave the Embassy and begin a quest of sorts. The only thing was that the Ambassador had just returned to the Embassy, and wasn’t sure if he should just rush off now, what with the orders he had given Zachary. The ambassador frowned for a moment, since he was tied between his duty, and that of his friendship for Ruby. In a way this was like cutting class, running from responsibility on a journey to God knows where. He thought about this for a moment, and saw that his travel carriage was at the ready just beyond the gates.

“I should go see them first.” Speaking of his adviser and secretary. But Ruby was insistent. She wanted to go, and now. Valmont fell into step with the hooded girl and walked with her to the gates. She only stopped to look up at the carriage, and then back at Valmont, conveying her wish to use it – just by the way her eyes shone at him.

“Alright…alright.” His hand motioned for her to get aboard. The driver hopping down gingerly, and opening the door for the couple. Once inside, Valmont checked his purse. He had more than enough silver and gold coins to pay for their keep in which ever inn or tavern that they stopped at, and he had a trunk of clothes on board – just in case of an emergency.

“Let’s go then.” He banged on the door of the carriage when he and Ruby were properly seated. The carriage spiriting off when the driver cracked the whip.

~RB~

Zu:  Good, now Valmont won’t have to walk long distances. He wasn’t used to it, he wasn’t the type to go anywhere without some type of transportation. Ruby, however, has been walking through Hell all her life. Ruby got into the carriage before Valmont and took her seat beside him. She wondered where they’d go, or if wherever they were headed was even remotely helpful. Ruby just couldn’t shake this feeling, no matter how hard she tried. This had never happened before, the hidden desire to do much of anything when it came to what she wanted. Looking at Valmont, as they rode off, she wondered if it had anything to do with him. Maybe she wanted to actually speak to him, which was a first thing she ever considered when it came to interaction. Whatever the case, she leaned against Valmont, resting both her body and head onto him so she could get a few minutes of sleep.

The carriage had to make a halt, and the sudden jolt caused Ruby to fall forward. However, being aware as she was, Ruby was able to catch herself before falling face first into the seat. She looked around, a tired expression on her face. How long was the ride? Ruby turned to Valmont, wondering just what was happening. She saw that this was some place she’s never seen before, and put on her hood just to be safe. If Valmont were to ask why they stopped, the driver would say I’m sorry Sir, but it seems our horses are tired. They just need some water though I would like to have a few drinks myself. Once we leave, they’ll be a place to stay. I know exactly where it is. They would have to deal with that, for without horses there would be no carriage. Ruby jumped out and looked at the place they were at. It was a place with people in weird outfits. She turned to Valmont for an answer.

Razorbackwriter:

Bar/Brothel

In the back of the carriage, even Valmont had dozed off. The carriage ride taking much longer than imagined and after trying to stay awake, the ambassador succumbed to sleep. That was until the carriage came to an abrupt halt, causing Valmont to lurch forward sharply. He woke in time before going fully ass over tit, but he wasn’t able to save Ruby, who had managed to face plant into the seat in front of her. It would have been comical, had it not been for the tired expression upon her face. Valmont helped right her when she looked up at his inquisitively. She was at a loss as to why they stopped, as was Valmont. The driver was the one to advise them of why they were at this destination. The horses were tired, and it was hardly surprising. They had come so far without rest. Opening the door, Valmont assisted Ruby out, and nodded up at the driver.

“By all means, once you have watered the horses and stable them, I suggest you have a good meal and a few drinks. I know I could use a drink.”

Being the gentleman that he was, Valmont escorted the hooded Ruby inside the establishment. One thing about these sorts of places, it was not for the faint hearted. Women of the night were draped across paying customers, mostly travelers and traders. Music was playing with a jaunty beat, and behind the bar, a rotund inn keeper was wiping out a glass, as he stared at the new arrivals. They were hardly dressed for travelling, truth be known – especially Valmont. He had not had time to change, so he was a little overdressed for the establishment.

“Can I book three rooms, and we’ll take a table now.”

“Yes, Sir.”

The Innkeeper was quick to find them a table, which he cleaned off briskly. Other patrons stopped what they were doing – their eyes following the pair along, which might have made Ruby feel uncomfortable. Valmont drew out a chair for her and waited for her to sit.

~RB~

Zu:  Thank you Sir, it shouldn’t take too long really, he said with a grin on his face. It may have seemed he wanted to stop here himself, but the horses were visibly tired too. When Ruby entered into the Brothel, she noticed even more weirdly dressed demons. Ruby had a feeling this wasn’t normal, but it seemed everyone was fine with it so she would be too. The people here did have this odd gaze, looking at Ruby, making her retreat into her hood and stay even closer to Valmont. They wondered what a little girl was doing in a place like this, with Valmont no less. He was well-known, after all. Ruby was sat down thanks to Valmont, and she watched him take his seat. She pulled out her board, which surprisingly she was really good at communicating with.

? was all she added to the board. She had no idea what this place was, she’s never seen it. It was clear by her facial expressions alone.

Razorbackwriter:

Brothel/Bar

Valmont should have known by the look of lust on the driver’s face that he picked the brothel for a very good reason as a place to stop and rest the horses. Shaking his head at their predicament, Valmont resigned himself to having to bring Ruby into such an establishment. No doubt this was not exactly a suitable place to bring a child and by the looks others were giving them both – along with how she was looking at them, this was going to be hard to explain.

Sitting down opposite Ruby, he saw her write the question mark on the chalk board. With the bar returning to normal and the laughter along with crude talking going on – as well as some rather shocking behaviour, Valmont rubbed his cheek and winced. Temptation was all around him and he grabbed a fork off the table to take under it, just so he could stick it in the back of his hand to stop his own lustful thoughts.

“It’s a place of ill repute. A brothel.” He gestured towards a woman that was straddled over a demon, with his face practically buried within her massive breasts. The man was making licking sounds as well as saying some pretty rude things about what he was going to do to her.

Valmont rolled his eyes and stuck the fork deeper into his skin. This was pure torture.

“I think I need a drink. INN KEEPER!”

A New Era of Greed – Seven Sins.

Continuing on after the fall of Lydia in the Maze of Greed, there is a new Princess of Greed.

Dessy:

https://i2.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvnoirU7ON1qmekj2o1_500.gif
Mariela looked at Scar, realizing how much taller he was than her. “You’re taller now.” she stated with a small smile. She had always thought Scar was a charmer – but now he actually looked it. But she didn’t state this out loud, and instead bit the corner of her lip and gave a smile, before turning to Tessa and her brothers.

As they walked through the maze, Mariela took time to look around and notice how truly beautiful it was. Certainly much different than what it looked like before. It was a nice change, and Mariela admired how beautiful the maze was. Made her actually want to walk through it this time. Mariela looked down when Scar squeezed her hand, entwining their fingers together as he did so. She then looked up when Scar spoke.

“The castle is quite grand. It has everything you can imagine, and certainly fits for a perfect castle for Greed.” she said with a small laugh, looking at Tessa and her brothers again. “There was a… incident at the ball. We weren’t there to see what happened, but my guess is none of it was good. And if we walk and it’s completely destroyed, I apologize.” she spoke, turning to look ahead again.

“I didn’t think you could do it. Kill the Princess of Greed.” Tessa spoke, and Mariela turned to look at her. “I’ve killed once before, you know. That’s why I ended up in Hell.” she spoke. “That was different.” Sean spoke up. “You did it to protect us.” he spoke again, and Mariela looked at him. “And I killed Lydia to protect myself, and everybody else. The same exact reason I killed that man years ago. To protect the one’s I love.”

“Lydia was so… powerful. Yet you managed to kill her.” Tessa spoke, still not believing that little Mariela defeated the “powerful” Princess of Greed. Mariela just sighed, looking forward again. “Lydia may have been powerful, but that power caused her death. She may have been Princess of Greed, but there is such a thing as being too greedy.” she started.“Her Greed and ambition and desire to be the most powerful person in Hell caused her demise.” she said, then looked at the trio. “That, and the fact she had a really bad habit of underestimating people who were “lower” than her.” she said with a smile.

“So, you’re the new Princess of Greed. What are you going to do now?” Sam asked and Mariela shrugged. “Guess we’ll have to wait and see. But I know one thing. I’ll do a hell of a better job running this place than Lydia ever did.” she spoke.

Razorbackwriter:

Kingdom of Greed – Castle

While the group had been trapped within the maze, the main part of the castle – aka the ballroom looked like it had been blitzed. Clean up crews were already working on the damage, and one of the worst parts being the grand chandelier. Broken scattered crystals were simply everywhere. Blooded bodies were being piled up onto special trolleys by men in white suits, which was funny since their suits were now splattered with the blood remains of many a ball attendee. Scar had gotten Mariela out of the ballroom just in time it seems, but even he didn’t realize the state of destruction that awaited them. They had heard it, but to see it would be a shock, especially for the likes of Tessa and Mariela’s brothers – Sean and Sam.

Thank goodness the rest of the castle had been untouched, save for the courtyard, which was a battle ground for two unlikely guests, one being a Prince no less. Fancy bringing their dramas to a social event. Then again…it was Lydia who hosted it, so it was going to be drama packed no matter who she invited. The stairs that led back up to the Ballroom were at the start of the Maze, so when the group had walked out, they could hear the sound of workmen and cleaners hard at it. News of Lydia’s passing had already started to spread and so when the faithful and servants of the former Princess saw the return of Mariela with Scar at her side, they all dropped tools and started to bow in reverence of the new Princess of Greed. Mariela, was already Duchess and well liked by practically all of Greed’s servants and staff. There were many a happy face, some waving, others began to cheer. Such a difference to the times before, when Lydia ruled with a cruel and unpredictable hand.

https://i2.wp.com/26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lopu8dNPZL1qi54ezo1_400.gif

“Long live the Princess of Greed…Mariela. Three cheers!”

The gathered all began to cheer loudly and clap. Such happiness in the midst of the chaos that the Ball had brought. With a new leader, the people of greed had reason to rejoice. May this time be different. May the wars end and the sons come home. Enough blood had been spilt in the name of Greed. It was time for change. Radical change. And Mariela was the one to bring it to them.

Scar looked a little sheepish when Mariela had told him that he was taller. Even he wasn’t sure as to why, but took the smile and the compliment of sorts in his stride. He was more than proud to be on her arm. The alp knew that in the coming days that she might need someone to lean on.

Hearing Mariela explain to her family, and Tessa about how she had killed Lydia out of defense and to protect her family, Scar could not have been prouder. She had needed to step up if she was going to rule, that was for sure. Hell was no place for the weak, and seeing her in this new light – the strength she had came not from wanting more or being greedy and ambitious, but being there to save them all. The Alp glanced back at the now beautiful maze and smirked.

“Lydia got what was coming to her….simple as that.” He always believed in Mariela, but there was the side of him that wanted to be the one to protect her, come what may. It’s what any man that was in love with a woman would do.

Right now however, it was time for that long awaited reunion. Scar knew that Mariela probably had much she wished to talk about with her family, now that the danger had passed. He gave Mariela’s hand a light squeeze and winked before pulling his hand away.

https://i1.wp.com/static.tumblr.com/bcl7ypa/PHbm3xge7/madswan1.gif

“I shall leave you to enjoy your family and go organize a meal for everyone. Once I see if we have any plates left.”

He chuckled and then danced off inside the building as many workers picked up their tools again and went back to work.

~RB~

Dessy:  Mariela walked with Scar up to the stairs that led back to the ballroom, Tessa on her other side with her brothers next to her. They walked up the stairs, and right before heading into the ballroom, they stopped as servants and workers began bowing. Mariela smiled and curtsied, looking around at all of them. She had been well liked by everyone, even as a Dutchess. So of course they’d take her being Princess quite well. As they cheered, she began laughing, turning her head to give a small smile to all of them. “Thank you.” she said with a bow of her head, continuing to smile at them.

https://i1.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/fbe9bac0cad6f0879f91a656e2e7caf0/tumblr_inline_mlehwkFM9G1qz4rgp.gif

They all turned back around and went back to work, and that’s when Mariela had finished explaining everything to the trio. Hearing Scar’s comment, she looked at him and nodded before turning to look at the others. “If Lydia didn’t have such a bad habit of underestimating people, or letting her ambition get in the way, she might not be dead right now.” she spoke. Feeling Scar squeeze her hand, she looked at him and nodded at his response, giving him another small smile before watching him walk away.

https://razorbackwriteraus.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/c45d6-92c2a612002c921a50ec77f9.gif?w=676

She gestured for Tessa and her brothers to follow, turning and now walking into the ballroom. She cringed at the gasps that came from behind her from the trio at the sight: broken pieces of chandelier everywhere, bloodied bodies being carried away by workers. She turned around, giving a sheepish smile to the trio. “As I said, it was quite an eventful night. Scar got me out for most of it, so I didn’t think it was this bad, but… I apologize for having to see this.” she spoke.“Let’s go somewhere else that’s a little less… destroyed.” she said, smiling and turning to walk around.

She carefully stepped over the glass and bodies, the trip doing the same, before she lead them out to the hallway and away from the ballroom. “Seems like one wild party…” Sam commented, causing Tessa to hit him. Mariela just laughed.“It was interesting, to say the least.” she spoke, stopping to look at them. “How’s mom and dad?” she asked, looking at her brothers. “Good, now. Mom went into a bit of a depressed state after your death, and it took everything dad had to bring her back. She still gets upset at the mention of your name.” Sean spoke, and Mariela frowned.

“We had to move somewhere else. The entire town thought all of us were dead, and we wanted to keep it that way, so we left.” Sam finished. “I was the only one who knew. I moved with them, and I still keep in touch with all of them on a daily basis. I think it makes your mother feel better still having me around.” she then said. “I miss them. And you guys. But, hey. I did what I had to do.” she said. “At least you guys know I’m okay. Sorta…” she said, furrowing her eyebrows, but then shaking her head.

The Kitchens thankfully had not been hit by the ballroom blitz. The crockery for the most part had been spared from the blooded onslaught, and Scar breathed a sigh of relief. There was nothing worse than having nothing to eat off. With cooks and maids ready to serve. The alp coughed loudly enough to be heard by all, and many a head turned towards him.

“The Princess has her family staying and I think they are in need of a good feed. So, bring out the best silver and crockery, lets show them what the greed kitchens have to offer.” He clapped his hands for them all to get started and the kitchen crew took to the orders with gusto. To see them all working in such a busy fashion, but with smiles and happy chatter was worth its weight in gold. With that underway, the Alp could return to Mariela’s side and get a glimpse of what family life was like with Mariela and her brothers. In the back of his mind however, he knew a time would come when the new Princess would need to make a choice about whether they stayed or returned to the world inside his hat. Scar reached up and gave his beloved hat a pat. He was so glad to have gotten it back, along with his head. Being headless in Wonderland was not the place he wanted to be….no, Scar wanted more than anything to be at Mariela’s side, and watch her bring new order to Greed.

Re-entering the ruined ball room, the first thing to catch Scar’s attention was the blacksmith dwarf; Suda. He had come running up from the lower caverns of the castle, his face was etched with fright. What on earth was it that had the dwarf reacting this way. Was it the sight of the carnage that was still being cleaned up?

“Scar!…SCAR! Someone stole Beserker!”

The Alp blinked and then stared at the tiny dwarf like he was crazy. “What? Who on earth would want to steal that evil sack of steel?’ No one liked Beserker, in particular Scar. The two had a run in in the days long before the ball, but after the death of Mammon. The dwarf whined and then he handed Scar what looked to be like giant silvery webbing.

“I found this on the podium where I kept the suit. Like its from some giant spider.” The Dwarf was sure that this was evidence in some way, but couldn’t imagine a giant spider being down in his work shop. Small ones, yes….and thousands of them. “I seen cobwebs before, Scar….but nothing this big.”

Scar ran his finger over the silken threads, that were a little bit too sticky for his liking. He tried to shake it off his hand, but it appeared to be well and truly stuck. “Gah…revolting thing.” Scar grimaced. So…Beserker was gone. In one way, Scar was pleased, since he didn’t think he ever wanted Mariela to be tricked into wearing the thing. It was nothing more than just another curse at Greed. A temptation that led to the downfall of Mammon.

The Alp then raised his head and looked at all the corners of the roof, to see if there was a big spider lurking. What if it was still here? Scar whistled for some guards, who all came over – a group of six. “Search the grounds. We may have an arachnid infestation…..a big one.” He tried to smear the webbing on one of the guards armor chest plates, and then his own hand got stuck. “Ugh…worse than some old slag’s undies.” He finally got it off his hand and shuddered, before looking back at Suda. “You go lock down the blacksmith shop and weapons store. I need to go and speak to Mariela.”He really didn’t want to be the bearer of bad tidings, but he felt that she should know.

https://i0.wp.com/static4.fjcdn.com/thumbnails/comments/One+Ravenclaw+please+_3fe8b8331c0fc615fe6246d852a4388d.gif

Suda bowed and then scuttled off, while the guards broke formation and went spider hunting. Scar dragged his hand down his forehead then his face. “We’ve not even had tea yet and there is already something troubling.” The alp sighed, before going off to find Mariela.

Thankfully, Mariela was in another part of the castle, and he could overhear that they were all talking about what life was like back home. It was walking back in that he caught the end of the conversation. That she missed them and her brothers. She did what she had to do, to end up in Hell, and claimed to be okay…sorta. That furrowed brow, meant that she was conflicted. Scar cringed. Oh she didn’t need bad news now, so he put on his happy face and interjected.

“We have plates. Heh. Lunch anyone?”

“Ever guessed my secret?” – Hell’s Kitchen : SS.

No one saw this coming…..

Zetta:  Beelzebub was staring Doctor Willhelm down without an answer, up until being caught away by the introduction of the cretin who had been idle in the background. The entire time he had been wondering on the meaning of it’s presence, all the while referring to what was most likely a man, to be an it. Only because of it’s apparent concern with the situation going on, but doing absolutely nothing but talk and react.. Until the moment he was clarified on a time in which he had to gain the heart of the prince of pride. He had a full week then? Personally, he could have worked with just three days, considering what he had been hearing happened to the Prince when he stood against Gabriel and her slave.. It was obvious that it was possible to befall the Dragon if one could only get close to him, and he had luckily just enlisted not one, but two individuals fully capable of taking to the skies. However he was not going to get gaudy in front of his suppliers, desire leaked out of Beelzebub, but confidence did not. That was for the other prince, his soon-to-be victim.. The Dark One was a foreign being to him, but he came out with stating the one who Beel assumed to be the master-mind behind everything was nothing but an extension of the thing itself. This wrought out a new-found respect for the presentation being given..

“So this is how the genius-inventor is safe, and knowledgeable in the nether-realm despite being a human..” The glutton prince narrowed his eyes as the other being approached, most likely a demon given his features. But he did not immediately assume so, it was very possible that this one was only a shape-shifter, pulling strings with his intellect. All that was beyond his concern, the man gave out tasks, getting Beelzebub his hand was a nice means of appealing to him for a start. When he continued on to get close to him in a whisper, the prince only listened close, where he had only just bullied a man for getting so close to him. Another showing of how Beelzebub acted when he was given things that he wanted, as well as how he treated those who had fed him so… Even standing idle when his nose was flicked, the wink given to him by the demonic being was awful, but endured because he was being fed juicy information. All about the arm, what it was for, he had been continuously told that it was powerful, but never given a hint as to how and why. So being told this was like food towards his hunger for conquest. “This arm isn’t just a replacement, but a chain. I will have to return here if I want to continue being rewarded..” He said to himself, in front of the dark one with a foregoing tone, quickly figuring out how this trade could be more taxing than he had originally thought. At any time he could back out of it, this was the type of look he had received from the doctor moments ago. The man himself had ceased to speak, this was slightly alarming, but ignored, while Gluttony received it’s feedings..

The army would be his in a matter of days, he could retrieve it by sending Eren as a recognizable extension of himself. With this in mind he contemplated replacing Najetta with that man, the fire-starter seemed much more willing to act for Beelzebub, though not nearly as concerning.. In which case there were no perfect replacements for that woman, but someone like Eren could easily be close to her versatility.. Enough, he wasn’t about to squander a second in waste, while he caught up in a matter of time. After all, he was sure he could win regardless, he wanted that reward like he wanted lust. A thought occurred to wage war on two fronts, but he decided against it, not wanting to spread himself thin.. These thoughts led him to glance at the being recently introduced, lacking a name for him. “So.. Dark one, gluttony returns to this laboratory, receives it’s new army. I bring you the heart, you give me more..” He stated, just to be assured, his tone of voice would tell the other being that the prince was almost possessed by the desire to receive whatever he had in store for him.. With no need for an actual vocal agreement, the two would part ways, Eren right behind Beelzebub most likely, the group would step onto the elevator. Gluttony would walk over the man he pushed with no regards, heading straight for the door, his right hand flexing all the while. It was good to be whole again…

Hell’s Kitchen – The Lab

https://i2.wp.com/25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mcmqqejiMr1qh843ho7_250.gif

The room was now silent as those that had come to see the mysteries and wonder of the Cardis tomb had left for their own kingdoms once more. All that was left now was the Doctor….and Narcissa, who had tried to interject several times during the meeting, but was all but ignored. There was a reason for this of course, not one that was obvious – but in fact it was to prevent attention being drawn to her. The Doctor was not stupid. He knew that the Prince’s desire to devour may well include her and that was the last thing he wanted. Keeping him from eating anything down there was a feat in itself, and of course the Dark one finally made himself known and his diabolical plans. Oh, everyone was happy. The Demon Prince thinking he got the deal of a lifetime, the Dark one thinking he had the Prince right where he wanted him, and of course the time piece – the sand filled hourglass had been turned over. Everyone was happy….except one.

The moment the doors to the lift closed and he heard the whirring of the gears to signal that the lift had taken its precious cargo back up to the foyer, the Doctor staggered and clutched at one of his work benches. it was like he had been holding in his true feelings and the terror he had felt the entire time that the deal was being brokered.

“Everything….I did, I did for love.” Wilhelm stared at an open space, but clearly he could see a mental image of her. The love of his life. A projection of her beauty. “But…when I save a life….someone always dies.” There was such sadness in his voice now. Like for the first time he was being rational – sane. A tear rolled down his cheek as he turned to face Narcissa, who could not possibly understand what he was saying….or what he meant. Pushing himself off the table, he walked toward Narcissa and patted her shoulder. “I’m….sorry.” His brow knitted as he just stood and stared at her, before turning his back.

He had much work to do. The army having being promised to the Prince of Gluttony and it would be a matter of days before Eren, possibly – came to collect. Walking up to the first row of body sacks, that illuminated the room with a fiendish green glow. the Doctor went to the control panel that controlled the undead creature’s life support unit. There were so many. A vast army. Ten years of work.

“Ever guessed my secret, child?’ He said with barely a whisper, as he took out an iv needle and prepped it up to the main machine that linked all of the undead to one simple unit. Sticking the needle into his artery, his own blood poured down the tube and into the processor, that turned around and around like a dialysis machine. Slowly he sank onto a small round stool as the blood was draining into the system, and being fed drop by drop into the machine. Across the entirety of the tomb each monster…each creature…each soldier was taking in the Doctor’s own blood. Red alarm lights started to swirl as the creatures started to beat against the sacks that contained them Massive blasts of warning blasts and repeated computer chatter was screaming through the intercoms.

https://i2.wp.com/stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/2644506/hockey-siren-alarm-o.gif

Up at the foyer, Loc and Igor had been fixing the door when the Prince and his entourage had left. Course, when the alarms were all being triggered at once, the hunchback spun around and screamed.

“DOCTOR!!!!”

He ran as fast as his legs carried him towards the lift door and helplessly punched in code after code…but it was no use…the doors refused to open.

“WILHELM!!….DOCTOR!!!….NARCISSA!!!”

Loc looked up in fright, to see the small man banging his fists on the key pad, and then the door to the lift. Loc could hear the sirens, and it was scaring him. He put his hands up to his ears, and started to scream in terror, which was a worse sound than the sirens themselves.

The Doctor swayed back and forth on the stool as the first of the goo filled insulator bubbles broke and the undead creature landed upon the floor of the tomb. It’s eyes were completely black and it turned to see the Doctor who was close to passing out from blood loss. It’s head swung around and it took in the sight of Narcissa and roared at her. Baring terrible fangs and large claws. It’s body joined together with crude stitches and its veins pumping with a strange coloured fluid. One after the other started bursting out their body sacks and landing on the floor, as in the back ground the Doctor fell off his chair onto the floor……

The Quest of the Heart – Hell’s Kitchen : SS.

Had the Demon of Gluttony bitten off more than he could chew?  Never shake on a deal when you don’t know what is at stake.  The quest is just beginning.

Hell’s Kitchen – The Lab

All actions and choices have consequences far more diabolical than could possibly be imagined by those partaking in the game. Was this all that it was? A game? To some perhaps, to others not. In another part of the lab, a dark figure was sitting at a table, his legs crossed and tapping his foot in time to some strange music that was playing on an old phonograph. An Asian woman was fanning the dark figure with a large cane handled fan, while on the other side sat a man in all white. He was of considerable age and had a long white beard that had to be tied off at the end for fear of it touching the floor. Overhead a fan was spinning slowly, while a grandfather clock was ticking. The setting would be regarded as peaceful almost like it was being played in a park or….at an old age home. Tick…Tick…Tick…..As events were taking place down in Cardis Tomb, upstairs the affects of those making choices would be felt like a pulsating echo that radiated. A game as old as time itself. Everything was about to change.

“He may not take it.” The man in white said, touching the top of a chess piece. Rocking the piece back and forth as he mused over his move. The Dark one on the other side was balling his tongue into his cheek. A delicious smirk upon his wicked features. “He’s the Prince of Gluttony! Hunger burned with desire. Eat eat eat eat…feed feed feed. Insatiable….It’s never enough!” The Dark one went to exercise his point, by scooping up a hand full of pig intestines and then chewing on them with blood running down his chin. It was disgusting.

“You’re foul.”

“This is a delicacy in some countries. Now….move.”

Down in Cardis tomb, the moment of truth had come. The Doctor had led the group along with the Prince down to his inner most private sanctum. The place that held his most valued treasures, and his army of nightmares. All of which that were suspended in special green bubbles. Hooked up to machine after machine. A marvel of technology…and science. There was nothing magical about it at all.

The Doctor handed the right arm of Doom over to the excited Prince of Gluttony, who was waiting with an eagerness that was hard to describe. Would he just look at it, and then ask of the deal of what the payment would be for such a prized artifact? The Doctor opened his mouth as the Demon of Gluttony started to speak…..but right at that moment the Demon did the unexpected.

HE PUT THE ARM ON TO HIS OWN BONE!

Upstairs a large time piece chimed, while another which was an hourglass of great size started to turn over. Both the man in white and the dark one looked across from their chess game and it was hard to tell if it was shock or joy that they witnessed the event for themselves.

“OH….MY….GOD!!!!!” The Dark one stuttered, while the man in white put his frail hand up to his face and tried to cover his eyes. What had Beel just done?

“You’re usually satisfied with demon parts and gold. Is that still the deal here?” Beel asked as the arm fused with his own body. The symbols on the arm glowered a magnificent shade of red, as the arm accepted it’s new host. The Doctor just stood there….it was like he didn’t know what to say. “No…no it’s not.”

Wilhelm would have continued but at that moment, Madame Green chose her timing so….so badly. Arriving at such a significant moment, that it was as if maybe she knew. Did she know? The power that she radiated caused a flash to go right through the entire lab and was not unfelt by the Dark one and the man in white.

“GREEN?!…..Ahahahaha…Oh..oh…I need tissues.” The Dark one slapped his knee as his assistant handed him a box of tissues which he kept dabbing his eyes with. He kept waving his hand in front of his face, and tears of laughter were running down his cheeks, as he found the whole thing hilariously funny. The man in white took his fingers off the chess piece and was ready to kick his chair out from under him in fury. It was rare for such an old man like him to feel fury, but damn that woman. “Nosey bloody bitch!”

“I could kiss her.” The Dark one laughed as he waited for the next part. “Siya…popcorn! STAT!” Siya bowed and went to get some popcorn, as the dramas continued in Cardis Tomb.

Theatrics and sarcasm. So unneeded and yet Madame Green was on a roll. She was practically giddy about the Right hand of doom that was firmly attached to the Prince’s arm. The Doctor kept staring at the woman silently, as she went into an oscar winning performance about her real reason for coming down to Cardis Tomb. It was not like she had been invited, but some pests were hard to keep out. Wilhelm pulled on his collar, when she fussed over the undead army, going as far to say that it had taken him ten whole years to create them, and all done with the help of the wars that had gone on between the kingdoms. In a way, it was what had resulted from the Kingdoms own need to sate their desires.

Wilhlem had not managed to finish his conversation with the Prince, yet this woman would not stop talking. It was almost distressing.

“An undead army… Impressive, admittedly.. Though, how long did it take you? Oh, wait.. I know that.. Ten years. Ten years, doctor… Impressive.”

The Doctor nodded as she spoke, hoping for a word in so that he could speak of the deal. He had to tell the Demon Prince….he had too. But then….she said…

“At least you are committed, as you can see from him, Lord Beel..” Committed? He would need to be after this. The Doctor’s face was turning white. He even put his hand up to his cheek and dragged his fingers down in frustration. God, please shut up woman. Wilhelm was thinking. But no, she started on her real reason for being there. A child. One that was to be the son of Raul the Black and Bandit the thief. What did that have to do with anything?

Upstairs, the Dark one sat perfectly still as the sand was starting to fall from the hour glass. A slow and evil smile was now showing, as Siya brought him the popcorn. He dunked his hand in the bowl and took out a handful, stuffing it into his mouth and chewing slowly. The suspense was killing him. Down in Cardis Tomb, the Prince was growing tired of the woman’s sarcastic spew of words and plots. To Beel, he was no one to be trifled with, and a baby….well that was nothing. Not that he now had the right hand of doom. He had reached for Green and gripped her solidly, pulling her up off her feet.“Surely, that army, and you would be enough to guard me, even in the face of the flames of my enemies.”

The army.

The Doctor bowed his head, and then spoke softly.

“My Lord Beel….the deal.” He turned away from the pair, and then strode back over to the same place where he had pulled the right hand of Greed from. Next to it, was a small box. Bigger than a cigar box, about the same size as a woman’s jewel box. He took it out of the cupboard slowly, and turned around baring it in both hands.

“I do not need for coin….or simple demon parts. A prize such as the right hand of doom must be traded for an item of similar value.” He started to walk back over, and then undid the catch on the box. The center of which was lined with a red silk, and it had an impression in it….for something special.

“You need to collect a certain heart to place in this box and return to me.” The Doctor paused, his eyes going over to Madame Green, then back to the Prince of Gluttony. He had already accepted the arm….this was the deal now.

“You must bring me a proud heart….the heart of Pride.”

If the Demon of Gluttony wanted the army now, it was best to agree to the deal, since….he had already accepted the arm by putting it on.

Upstairs, the Dark one stood up from his chair as the bowl of popcorn went spilling onto the floor. A look of triumph etched upon his face. He took out a small recorder…and started to play.

It was terrible, off key…but the song itself had meaning at this moment. The man in white started to cry.

Artie: While the others may have flinched in some sort of way at the news of what seemed to be an impending battle, Madame didn’t even blink. In fact… she smiled. Ah, the more time she could waste, the better, to be frank.. As Gluttony pulled her back she would then make a face of surprise, her entire upper body pressed up against him, her hips meeting his in a way that make her vocalize this surprise in a gasp and then a small, “hmph.” Her eyes would flicker up to the hourglass, a light smirk coming onto her face… Wasting time… More mayhem. That would make her day, frankly.. But how to keep the immense glutton from talking immediately, from making his decision? Oh, it was a delectable plan, one that only a woman could pull off, as her eyes flickered to the Doctor before going back to the demon prince..

And she would grab his shirt’s collar, ignoring its qualities and pulling him down, her lips pressing fiercely against his. Oh, oh yes, she had. And Madame would continue to do so, ignoring whatever sounds or shocked silence that seemed to come from the others – even laughter, maybe, from the Dark One.. Her tongue pressed against his lips, feeling him surprised against her as she would slowly work his open, a rather deep kiss.. But she did not close her eyes, staring at him intensely in response back.. This would last a few moments before she moved away, smirking lightly and then pulling from the large prince’s grip. “Ah. Doctor, Eren, Narcissa.. Lord Beelzebub..” A flicker of her eyes as she would meet the gaze of the Dark One, hiding in the corner where none could see, at the male in white.. She would know their names only because of her powers..

Another look back at Beel. “Don’t forget us, for later.. Hmm?” A grin overcame her features, her brow raising in confidence.. And then a lightpop, as Madame disappeared in thin air, accomplishing what she had came here for. More time had been wasted, more precious time had been taken, by none other than the Madame herself.. But what if those minutes she had taken could have been the time for finishing the deal? Every moment counted.. had she just taken the few minutes that Beel would have needed to complete?

Zetta:  Beelzebub opened and closed the confides of his new right hand, continuing to familiarize himself with all of it’s feelings. Right when Madame planted her kiss, after a forceful pull down to meet face-to-face, an amazing feature as he was almost 4 feet on her. A testament toward her will, beyond her physical strength as she had actually rose to pull him down in the first place with the firm belief that it was actually possible to do so. Again, he felt overwhelmed, his eyes widened in a response to the shocking experience, amplified from the passion in their contact.. She held him for at least a full minute before releasing with an abrupt suckle, his head draw aback from his sheer height. But, having received mostly what he would’ve gone for himself, he smirked. “Hmph.” His head yanked back some, just to show off an inquiry with visible expressions, his face twisting some as well. “You won’t get away with that, woman!” He began to reach for her as she pulled away, but then she announced her leaving, individually naming the important players as they were. A popping sound, and the vixen was gone, leaving the gluttonous prince to grit his teeth in silence. That spicy personality leaving to the unknown, and without a way to track her that could easily be their last confrontation. How detestable…

The right hand of doom fully latched onto the rest of the prince’s limb.. The arm suddenly began connecting itself. Instinctively, his power took effect, almost immediately devouring everything that the thing was starting with the inside. A visual of this was a thick red aura, flaming in appearance centered only on his right arm.. After calming himself down though he halted his own ability, to not eat the arm he had only just received entirely. While it would have been easy to simply digest the thing and then utilize it as his own hand, he wanted to finally appease the doctor. The man had yet to name his price, and Beelzebub personally considered it to be a dangerous move to get unknown metals into his system. Only weary now after his brief affliction with that drug he was introduced to earlier, from Blitz. This hesitation would pass in due time, and with a mere force of will, he reformed the insides of the hand of doom to no noticeable effect. On cue, Willhelm began to tell him what exactly it was that he wanted in return for the sold item here.

This thing turning into a trade instead, the likes of which practically begged the glutton prince to ignore everything else the Laboratory had to offer and digest the item like his instincts told him to in the beginning.. However, he needed to assure his availability with the Doctor’s resources, if this was an army before him, then he would not leave so casually without it. Eren had questioned this actually, towards his new recruit he turned halfway to face him, a small preference wanted the man at his side. As he was currently the only one who was here under Gluttony still. “Why leave so soon? When the doctor has been treating us all so well.” Said boldly, as if it was a matter of fact, only because Beel was being intrigued so much and so consistently. The trade was offered with such hesitation, as if it was a delivery of some incredibly dire message. Beelzebub was already planning to total the other Kingdoms and assimilate them, just like everything else he wanted. So what if he couldn’t eat the Prince of Pride now, he could preserve it with the thing’s head and scales for his own personal use. In fact, it only worked towards his benefit, this deal. Calling on an initially deep chuckle to come, leading to his distinct evil laughter, bellowing out from the large stomach of the hulking male. “Is that all?! The heart of a dragon… Hmph, I had planned to demolish someone else first. So how long do I have to bring it to you?” He lazily looked towards Narcissa, the freak of nature they’d all been shown before coming down here. “Before you send that creature after me.” Saying even that with an excited tone, he was probably just joking and thus had maintained his bright attitude.

He felt like nothing could really stop him, even mentioning that someone would come after the prince insinuated that he was careful, but in reality he just wanted to take part in a payment for the wonderful gift he had just been given. A sturdy hand that he could punch a hole in that damnable armor with, if he ever made contact with it again. That being over with he then glanced at the creepy looking man further into the place, giving him only a brief acknowledgement the first two times he spoke. “Now lets talk about this force of undead nature you’ve got stored here. What’s the price on all of them?” He inquired, with this flash of candies, he was going to take a grab at each one until he left the shop utterly satisfied. “And him.” An insinuation, made clear with a quick nod towards that man surrounded by two other variables. “Does he come with it?” Clearly with no idea who that cretin was.

Hell’s Kitchen – The Lab.

Women. Such terrible time wasters. When in the midst of talks between men, they were nothing but a pure distraction – speaking and acting as if what was being discussed was not of great significance. The Doctor could only stand by and watch the woman’s pathetic attempt to kiss the Prince of Gluttony. Wilhelm dare not roll his eyes at the scene, but inwardly he just wished she’d go join the nearest witch knitting circle. Thankfully, she did make her announcement that she was taking leave. And about time too. Wilhelm, being the gentleman that he was – bowed ever so politely, whilst the Prince gave her a good telling off to the affect that she would not get away with such indiscretions. Madame Green left with nothing more than a simple ~pop~ and the Prince’s attentions were once again focused upon the hand on which he had now attached to his own arm. The Doctor kept a watchful eye upon the Prince, to see him calm once more so that talks could continue.

“Is that all?! The heart of a dragon… Hmph, I had planned to demolish someone else first. So how long do I have to bring it to you?”

So, the Prince had other plans before he was to complete the quest. This brought a happy squeal of delight from the Dark one, who finally chose to emerge from the shadows, closely followed by Father time.

“The Doctor is the middle man, dearie. You should be asking me. I am the one that gave the Doctor such a wonderful limb. Fits snugly, doesn’t it?” The Dark one wiggled a brow as he was now well and truly exposed. In behind him, the man in white – Father Time set down the sand glass that already had the sand falling through it. He appeared stern in light of the conversation, while the Doctor stood there holding the red satin lined box. Turning around, his jacket swirled as he assessed the many rows of undead soldiers that were still in the green goo like sacks. “An Army…fit for a King.” A little shoe shuffle and he bounded up onto the nearest work station.

“I was surprised you didn’t just pop the right hand of doom in your gob and swallow it whole. Smart move that you didn’t do that.” The Dark one touched his nose and gave a wink, before continuing on, while the Doctor looked at the Prince with a forlorn expression. The man in white – Father Time coughed loudly and this brought a look of disdain from the Dark one, who was just as eager to waste the Prince of Gluttony’s time as much as Madame Green had.

https://lisagawlas.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/hourglass.jpg?w=676

“AH YES! The time limit on this…quest.” The Dark one pointed at the sand hourglass which was much bigger than that of normal ones. “You have exactly seven days in which to return to the Lab with the Heart of Pride before you lose the chance at the BIG PRIZE!” Now the Dark one was acting like a showman under the big top. Another prize? This would be news to the Prince for sure. What did he think would happen to the arm if he failed? That it would just fall off? That it would lose it’s power? Hardly.

“Not sure if the Doctor explained to you, but he barely scratched the surface on the powers of that hand. What he didn’t tell you was….that that hand you have so snugly attached to your arm…is a key.” The Dark One jumped down off the table and strolled right up to the Demon of Wrath and whispered. “Bring back the heart of Pride, and I will tell you where to activate the key….and you will gain powers and treasure the likes of which….no other Prince has seen before.” The Dark one was appealing to the Prince’s everlasting hunger for more. “If you don’t, well…..then its just a hand.”

Father Time nodded in agreement.

This would be a lot for the Prince to take in, but he had asked about the army. The Doctor took out a locket in his pocket and opened it to stare down at a picture of his beloved, the one he had lost after a deal with the Dark one. The Dark One owned him now, which meant he owned the lab as well.

“The Doctor will release the army to you when you are ready to take on Pride. Seeing as you have….other business to attend to first.” The army was not quite ready for release, as the Doctor had to make final arrangements himself. The Dark one then glanced at the ever eager servant of the Prince. “Just send him back to collect and the army is yours. Oh….but we do have the rights to collect all dead from this conflict to be recycled. Think of it as our ‘keep Hell beautiful’ policy.”

The Doctor snapped shut the locket and put it back in his pocket, before offering the box that was for the heart of Pride to the Prince. The heart was to be taken from the Prince of Pride….still beating. Within the box, it stays alive…so does the Prince of Pride. The only way to truly finish the Prince was to destroy the heart, and there was no way the Dark One wanted a dead prince on his hands.

“I think that wraps things up. Tick tock…dearie…Tick tock!”

Time was marching on, and if the Prince and his entourage had any sense, they would take the lift back up to the foyer of the Lab now.

The Man in white fell back into the shadows, and the Dark one danced off after him as he sang:

Black ride the men
Who ride with death
Under the midnight sky
They will never die
Murderers walk the earth…
Beneath the curse of Cain…
Men shall die for this
Prepare to meet your god
He grants them no last wish
Just kiss of flintlock gun
Fires of Hades…
Will welcome his slaves…
Crimson clouds before their eyes
And flames about their brains
Blood has left their souls
Its everlasting stain
Pilgrim without land
Only has will of steel
Waves his rapier hand
For him the weak should kneel
Where’s your daughter?
…He will take her home
(Blues for Satan!)
We’re the drums, soul of doom
We’ve head the same call too
Where heresy grows so fast
We shall make you last
Solomon Kane
God’s warrior
Solomon Kane
That chap’s insane
Solomon Kane
Bittersweet man
Solomon Kane
All God ever had
Right hand of doom
Will swing for you
Apocalypse…
Will begin soon!
Solomon Kane!

The doors of the lift opened wide, ready to take the Prince and his entourage inside.

Ruby – Part Seven : SS.

The tears flow freely as Ruby is struggling to understand her feelings and how it was even possible to find a friend in Valmont.

Razorbackwriter:  What greeted Valmont’s words was the most tragic thing he could have seen – the last thing he ever wanted to see. With her hood falling back and showing off her face to full view, it was the utter sadness, the spill of many tears that had now soaked her skin. Even her stitches were wet. Valmont’s heart sank. Did he cause this? The incubus was now questioning himself. Everything he had done up to this point, what was it that brought about her pain? You could see the quizzical expression along with regret. Regret for whatever it was that he had done wrong. The girl just sat there and stared up at him. Almost like looking right through him. No one had ever done this to him before. Valmont had never seen a girl cry.

“What have I done?”

Valmont knelt down upon the grass on one knee. He wanted to know what it was that was wrong, and how he could fix it. The ambassador was very good at diplomatic work, but dealing with someone’s feelings. Watching on in silence, he saw Ruby take out the chalk board that he had given her. Her hand was shaking so much it was hard to see what she was trying to write, but soon it became apparent just what it was.

Hurts

“Hurts?” Valmont saying the very word that she was feeling. What hurts, how does it hurt….where? Again, the ambassador was at a loss on where to begin. His eyes searching hers for answers, till it dawned on him.

“Has no one ever shown you affection before?” Was that it? Had Valmont innocently brought about a wave of sorrow from her lost memories. Valmont reached across for her hand. “How do I make it stop?”

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby saw that she wasn’t the only one hurt by the current state of affairs. Valmont too, for what he was, felt sorrow for what had happened. Ruby didn’t want him to feel sad, he had no need to be sad. It was Ruby who should feel this way. She looked at him with this expression of don’t be sad, even if her face showed little resemblence of that. Ruby stared at him for what seemed like hours, til finally she went for her board again. Valmont understood her, but how she even wrote down what she wanted to say was something short of a miracle. Another word came crashing through her skull, and she wiped down the board furiously to make room for it. She stared to write again, though this time with a little more shake. Maybe if she kept her feelings bottled up, it’d work out and she’d feel better about it. When she finally wrote it down, she showed Valmont again.

Don’t.
She didn’t want it to stop. It was a feeling she never felt before, the feeling of being loved and cared for. For Valmont to ask how to stop it was something she was terrified for. Ever since she grew comfortable around Valmont, for what little time she did, Ruby wanted nothing more than to be around him. Ruby let down her board, which still hung over her chest, and held her arms out to Valmont. She wanted a hug, because if she was to feel better she’d rather be in Valmont’s arms to do such.

Razorbackwriter:
Seeing the sudden change in Ruby’s face, as though she was asking Valmont not to be sad, the Ambassador had trouble responding to it. He mirrored her in a lot of ways, and it was only natural that he should take responsibility for whatever it was that he had done to make her feel this way. What he didn’t understand was that Ruby wanted to have these feelings. Odd as that might sound. Why?

Watching her start to scribble madly on the chalkboard again, Valmont would read the one word that asked him how to help her.

“Don’t

The Ambassador held his breath as his brow creased and he sat there, almost dumbfounded. Women were so incredibly confusing at times. But then, she dropped the board and held out both her arms towards him. She wanted to be held. Maybe being held she could come to grips with her fears. Valmont genuinely did not want to hurt her at all. It was the last thing he’d ever do. So, carefully, Valmont drew Ruby up into his lap as he made himself more comfortable upon the ground, and brought her head towards his chest, so that her cheek would be pressed to his coat. His arm enveloped her, while his free hand gently stroked her hair. If she listened, she could hear the beating of his heart within his chest. A smooth rhythm that would be soothing. Steady and strong.

Valmont wouldn’t speak a word. Instead just rocking her gently and letting the gentle breeze play about them as they became closer, due to the solitude of the gardens. Would she grow to accept this affection he offered her?

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby watched as Valmont read the word she formed onto the chalkboard. She could tell that he didn’t know what was going on in the slightest. That was okay, she didn’t need him to. All she wanted to feel was his love, that was the only thing he had to do. She was taken into his arms, and she felt comforted. Ruby felt well, though tears streamed down her face; this time, they were happy tears. It may not take a short amount of time, but Ruby hoped she’d get used to this. Though she could have had the mind of an adult, and the experience of one too, Ruby was only a child in actuality. Ruby took Valmont’s shirt, and gripped it with her fragile hands, resting her head against his chest. She shouldn’t have ran from him, but it felt too much for her to handle and for that, she did have to stay away from Valmont until she could get a hold of herself. Now, she did; it felt lovely.

Razorbackwriter:
Feeling the soft fall of Ruby’s tears upon his shirt, he knew that he had not been able to stop the flow of tears. Course, he didn’t realize that these were happy tears. Ruby tugged at his shirt and pulled it to her face with her tiny hands, her head nestled to his chest – being as close to him as she could possibly get. Valmont would hold her for as long as it took, till the shudders from her tiny body abated, and she was able to gain control over her emotions once more. Valmont let out a sigh, almost like he was relieved in a sense. She could have run from him again, but instead she confronted her fears and held on to him to help her get past what it was that she feared most.

Valmont’s hand came to a stop at the back of her head. Keeping it there firmly so she could feel the comfort that he’d never let her go. How would this have looked from the Embassy windows? Was anyone watching the pair? Maybe. But Valmont didn’t care. He’d tried to teach her a great deal in a very small amount of time, and it is completely possible that he had overwhelmed the poor girl into such a state that she fled from him in the ballroom.

“You don’t have to ever fear me, Lady Ruby. To some, I am a monster, beneath the frill and lace of my attire. But to you, I will always be your friend. You can count on that.”

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby felt safe, this was something she never even thought of before. She had always been on the run, always hiding from others thanks to her job as a killer. Nobody ever gave her love like Valmont, she didn’t know what to do with herself. Now she realized that this feeling would always be around, and she’d just get used to it soon. Ruby didn’t want to leave Valmont’s side and she thought to herself that he didn’t want that either. She felt his comfort rest upon her skull, and because of that she looked up. She was greeted by a soft-spoken Valmont who did not steer away using his eyes.

Ruby didn’t know a word that could response to that, but if there was one thing she knew how to do, it was show her emotions without words. She only dug herself more into Valmont’s breasts, having her stitches move slightly, very invisible, to a grin. Never before had Ruby grinned before, and though it didn’t look that way she felt good about this grin. She could tell that this relationship would last forever.

Razorbackwriter:  They say the greatest rewards in life are the simplest of things. Who could believe, that the girl whose mouth was sewn shut so crudely, could ever be able to smile. And yet, this is what Ruby did. It was by far one of the most wonderful moments of Valmont’s life. Did the girl understand what this made him feel? It was better than any word that could be spoken in gratitude or thanks. As each stitch moved, so to did the strings on Valmont’s heart. It swelled with pride to know that the hooded girl believed in him. Believed in their friendship – which was still so new. For both of them, this was a change in their behaviors, but so rewarding. Valmont was not feeling the same urges he did with women. This was a love of a different kind. Not that Valmont had ever truly loved anything or anyone before. No one was deserving of such. All had their ideals and ambitions, such as Lydia. That woman could turn the purest of joy into ashes in your mouth.

Valmont gazed down at Ruby with a fondness and affection that one would expect from a father figure. Ruby was a child in her form and the ambassador had no idea that beneath the sweet face, lay the heart of a woman that had lived a long time. There was so much still that Valmont did not know about Ruby, but for now he was at peace to know that he had stopped the unhappy tears and given her a source of comfort that no one else ever could.

“As time and the elements shift across these lands like sand in the hour glass, you can always count on me to be by your side.”

~RB~

Zu:  Every word spoken by Valmont was like elegent music gracing her ears. She took every word in, and never let it out of her mind. His voice was so soothing, comforting. Ruby was glad for the bond they had, and it was still fresh. There was so much out there for them to explore and enjoy. Though Ruby could not speak, her actions spoke louder. Sure, there were barriers but Ruby was content with that. Every relationship did have it’s problems, no? Ruby was about to write something when a small flash of memory entered her mind. Her face tensed a bit as she struggled to remember what that just was. She looked at Valmont, confused, then at th ground. What the hell was that flash? It seemed like a memory, but was it really?

Razorbackwriter:  Yes, their bond was one that was now unshakable, that was how Valmont viewed it. Seeing her smile was worth any heart ache or confusion. But as they enjoyed this new found closeness, it seemed that there were some things that still troubled the girl. She was about to write something on her small chalk board, to express how she felt, yet something made her pause. Her face tensing, like her eyes narrowing and the happy smile fading from view. Perhaps something had been triggered in this moment, but without her way to communicate this, she simply stared up at Valmont, then looked to the ground.

“What is it, Lady Ruby?”

Valmont knew that there must be something she wished to tell him, but for now she was unable too. They were obviously going to have many moments like this one, where she experienced flashbacks of sorts. The awakening stream of new emotions were bound to trigger them. A simple word, a piece of music, or even the joy of being held, can remind a person of an event long before this time.

Valmont was a patient enough man to wait for her to be ready to tell him.

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby looked back up at Valmont when he asked this question, and her face showed the one emotion she felt at the very moment. Confusion; Ruby had no idea herself, so there was no way she could convey what she was confused about. Ruby slowly pushed herself away from Valmont to stand back up again. She was fine, so there was no need for hugging anymore. Ruby looked at Valmont, maybe if she was to leave here she’d find out just what happened. She grabbed her chalk, thinking of what the word was. She’s seen it once, and the word did flash in front of her face. After using her excellent memory, she wrote it down.

Go.

Razorbackwriter:  The bewildered expression upon Ruby’s face caught the Ambassador off guard. Feeling her push away gave Valmont the chance to get to his feet, and lightly brush himself off of the grass and leaf litter upon the ground. Had the ambassador’s reassuring embrace done the trick?

Watching her take out the chalk and the board again, Valmont leaned forward – wondering just what she was going to write this time. It could be anything, now that she had regained her composure. The chalk squeaked as it ran along the black board surface, shaping two letters only.

“Go.”

The fact that she could write in the common language, actual words meant that there was a side to Ruby that had once been schooled in how to write and communicate this way. It was actually a relief to see, because this alone meant that it would save them weeks, or months of tuition. But back to the word. ‘Go.’ Did she wish to leave the Embassy, to find herself?

“You wish to leave, Lady Ruby?” Was that what she needed to do?

“The gate is just a few hundred metres that way.” Valmont pointed in the right direction, before asking. “Do you want me to come with you?”

Was this a journey that she wished to take on her own?

The Right Hand of Doom – Hell’s Kitchen : SS.

When the Prince of Gluttony comes calling for a replacement limb, the one on offer seems to good to be true.  What is the Doctor really up to, and is the price something that Beel is willing to pay?

Razorbackwriter:

Hell’s Kitchen – The Laboratory.

Could the Doctor ever have imagined the reaction from the Prince of Gluttony? The way his entire face lit up, like a child that had just been introduced to the mother of all candy stores. “Yes!.. I want it! Where is it!” His eagerness and insatiable appetite to have more and the best meant that he would not be at all patient now that he had practically been sold the one item in Hell, that many would give their right arm for. Kind of funny, since Beel had literally given his right arm to Mammon. A terrible mistake, but in the Doctor being able to correct this, it assured the Prince of a wonderful new power. The name alone sounded intimidating, as it was meant to be. The arm itself was too great a prize to keep in the likes of the Doctor’s office, or in his specimen room adjacent. No….he kept this arm in a place that even his own staff had not been into. The other guest had remained quiet in the Doctor’s office, and whilst Wilhelm would have liked to do the extra business, his focus was on the Prince of Gluttony. He didn’t ask for the picture back, as he figured that Beel would want to hold onto it. A keepsake, if you will.

“My Lord, you would need to come with me. I have it in a special tomb that is below the Lab. It is safe from theft there, but since you are so eager to have it, then I would welcome you to come see.” The Doctor came out from behind his desk, and then cast a glance outside to where Narcissa was keeping the other guests, or should I say Beel’s muscle entertained.

“Narcissa, if you could bring the guests over they would be more than welcome to join their Prince to do a tour of the Cardis Tomb.” Now this was something that even she would not have known about. The Doctor had his reasons, but they would come to light much later. Gesturing with his hand, he urged the Prince to follow. “This way, My Lord…. everyone.”

If the Prince, Narcissa and the others followed him he would lead him up to a special elevator. There was a numbered keypad next to the doors, and also an eye scanner, as well as thumb print detector. Punching in the right code, a small eye piece slid out from the wall, and scanned the Doctor’s eyes, before beeping in a cheery code. A small grey door slid up, and the Doctor pressed his finger tips into the gooey substance, that was reading the Doctor’s fingerprints. Only when all three were accepted, did the lift doors slide back. Again, the Doctor showed his respect towards the Prince. “After you, My Lord.” It was a large service like lift, and it had a musical melody playing inside. Odd how the Doctor had such a gruesome office, then something sweet like a fun melody playing in his lift. The Doctor would wait for all to enter the lift, so that he was the last to get in.

“Few people ever get to see the inner workings of the Lab. I have spent years on a particular operation, which will serve Hell well. Well, whoever seeks to use it, I suppose.”

Igor and Loc both looked at the Doctor as he winked at them.

“You two can fix the front door. We will be back once I have given the Prince his new arm.”

“Yes, Doctor.” The pair said in unison.

The doors of the lift slid shut, and it was then the Doctor turned around to his guests.

“You’re going to love it. I just know it.” The Doctor slammed his hand on the green down button, and the lift started a terrible freefall, as though nothing was holding it. Imagine a cable snapping and you were falling one hundred and ten stories. It was gaining speed as the Doctor stood there, singing to himself. A madness in his eyes. Oh yes, the Doctor was a brilliant, brilliant man….but a complete wacko.

Only as you would think that the lift was about to smash to smithereens on the tomb floor, it came to a cushioned stop. Like something out of a cartoon. Some may well be dazed by this, but the Doctor chortled. “What a rush. Right…on with the tour.”

The doors slid open and it was then…..that those in the lift saw the magnitude to the Doctor’s operations. A vast chamber, so big you couldn’t see the end of it. The biggest shock of all, were the thousands, and thousands of sacs, that contained the zombified bodies of many fallen soldiers. All were hooked up to machines, that were like life support centers. Rows and rows….and rows. This was to be the greatest secret in Hell. The sheer magnitude of the army was so immense, that it was impossible to believe.

Spinning on his heel, he was like a game show host. Proud and beaming. “All the wars…all the death. I simply couldn’t let it go to waste.” There were all manners of creatures suspended. As the Doctor started to pass beneath them, he reached up and would run his fingers along the outer shell of the greenish bubbles. “Aren’t they beautiful?’ He regarded them as though he was a proud father. His eyes glistening with un-shed tears. It was only after he coughed, and then turned around that he saw the Prince of Gluttony standing there…expectantly.

“The Right hand of Doom!…YES! That is what you are here for. Let me get it for you.” With a spring in his step, the Doctor toddled off till he came to a large red coffin like box. This arm must have been huge. No doubt the creature it came off was a biggun. The Doctor took a key out of his pocket and placed it in the lock, turning it quickly. There was a loud hush, and as the lid started to rise, the arm itself illuminated – lighting up the Doctor’s face. It was indeed a prize to behold.

“My Lord Beel, would you like to try it on?” The Doctor lifted it carefully out from its home, and held it out like a new born baby to the Prince of Gluttony. “It’s been waiting for you.”

Artie:

https://i2.wp.com/data1.whicdn.com/images/55148689/large.gif

A sudden pop was heard, and there was the Madame Green… Her eyes focused on the hand, a small smirk coming onto her face. “Ah.. The hand of Doom.. what a name. Quite original, Doctor. I award you your Grammy today.” With this, she would hold out her hand, a small trophy appearing within her grasp. Within moments, however, it would disappear as she laughed softly.. “Though, when has anything associated withdoom ever been anything good? Quite ominous, don’t you think?” Madame smirked larger, showing her teeth only slightly, mischief dancing across her face.. “Though, I do have word of more ominous things.. If you do care, Doctor.”

Her eyes flickered from Beel to Doc, to Eren, then to Astarte… Then back to the beloved Doctor. She knew of the Dark One’s presence, but did not acknowledge it.. Her aura of power was stifling, even next to Beel. Though she stood several feet below him, at a mere 5’4”, and easily the shortest being, even to Igor. “An undead army… Impressive, admittedly.. Though, how long did it take you? Oh, wait.. I know that.. Ten years. Ten years, doctor… Impressive.” The last word was repeated, a whisper compared to the rest.. “At least you are committed, as you can see from him, Lord Beel..” Though the word ‘Lord’ was a joke for her, she would never put anyone in higher standing than herself.. such absurd notions. “I do propose one of you gets the child.” At their confused looks, she would tilt her head. “The god-child? Born of Raul the Black and Bandit the thief..? The child that has the power to destroy Hell if it is told to? Ah, Doctor, if you could harness such power.. That would be something… Well-paid for, I am sure.”

Her eyes would go to Beel, a sudden grin on her face as she moved to him, pressing a hand against his chest. “Oh, do be careful, Lord…” She purred, gazing up at him with large eyes and an innocent face, “..I have a terrible feeling that you will see your end in a battle.. One that is not worth fighting.. Stay away from your foe’s flames, would you?” Her fingertips trailed on his chest for a moment, her gaze thoughtful.. But then she would pull away, the petite woman gazing back at the doctor. A somewhat knowing glance in her eyes. “What an army to have a hold of.. Wouldn’t you say, Lord? All the bodies to consume, but also to fight endlessly for you… because they are already dead?” A fingertip pressed to her lips as she glanced at Eren, though her eyes would ultimately fall on the army, staring at them with a gaze of mischief.

Zetta:  He found himself about to stomp in frustration now that his desired toy had been so cruelly stolen from his grasp. Although not literally, the thing he had supposed to be purchasing was likely going into the welcoming hands of another.. At least that was what he was thinking while looking at the trail the doctor left behind in his saunter away from the prince, on towards another customer. That bumbling idiot who crossed him without even so much as a praise.. Lucky that he was not totally eaten, a simple shove after getting in the way of royalty. It angered him that Wilhelm was even spending time talking to that one, compared to the graces of Beel’s presence here, specifically when it was to see the man himself.. At this point he was gritting his teeth, rapidly reaching the point of tossing the chair he had previously been seated at so comfortably. He did not care how it benefit him before and only wanted to wreck something now that he was feeling depraved. A feeling which had been short-lived when he was tended to moments after, thankfully too, as even though he had yet to really act out he was definitely getting ever closer to this point the longer he had spent without the Doctor’s attention. Once he knew he was the center of attention again, his teeth showed themselves upon a happy grin, but with the appearance of a monster’s opening of it’s own mouth.

His feet clamped against the ground with every single step taken due to his massive size and weight. Inhuman in physique, absolutely gigantic in posture, even with no clear idea in mind while he followed the doctor, Beelzebub still walked tall. Being told then that he needed to continue following after Dr. Willhelm if he wanted the up-close and personal showing of the arm. Naturally, like a calling to an animal and it running towards the attractive sounds, Beel nodded his head quickly. Only once though, he was still baring great anticipation for whatever else might be in store for him now. All other thoughts besides finding out what it would be like to hold the glove were ignored, in this manner he was completely obsessing over the item he had only just heard about. His eyes still carried light, the bright light of intrigue. “Take me to it then! I want to claim it for myself.” Out came the deep voice of the glutton prince, but with evident enthusiasm. Without another care for anything else, he, along with Astarte and Eren were then invited to accompany the group of freaky individuals down to another section of the Laboratory.. Having already sold his item to Gluttony, it was now only a matter of time until the prince himself would be able to claim it. And this very thought had made him almost giddy in waiting, they were brought onto an elevator-like transport. Somehow it managed to hold all four of them all, Beelzebub especially as he was heavy, likely heavier than the others combined into one. Despite his weight, he would continue consuming until he no longer felt the desire to…

So with the passing of time, all of them comfortably making it unto the metal platform, Beel felt one side of it all tilt to one side. He stumbled slightly, only because of the necessary shifting of his weight, to which normally he had no problem lifting but the suddenness of it all was what caught him off guard. Then again it shifted like a creak, then.. ‘Eeean.. CREEEAN’ the sound of grinding metal echoed rather loudly, the people within the thing fell helplessly. The prince specifically had already taken to a slightly panicked looking all around himself, clearly nervous. Coming as an oddity due to his title, and he was already accustomed to transport failing on him in the past, it was why he encouraged barbaric cannibals to dominantly exist in his army. They were much stronger than the nutrient-depraved weaklings of Envy. Those limp-bones would break apart trying to lift his mass. It came as no surprise when mechanics had appeared to fail, bringing them all down at what seemed to be the fastest possible rate. No matter how rickety and nerve-wrecking it had gotten though, for whatever reason the metal beneath them did not rust away and have a hole broken through it from their combined weight. It seemed completely stable, this shocker of an experience was likely the Doctor’s intention as he had seemed to be enjoying himself somewhat. This did not stop Beel’s own caution though, he may not have been chattering his teeth, but he knew this could turn out bad.. If it was real. Just as they might have come to an abrupt crash, the transport landed safely. The crazed man before him had confirmed this to be a normal experience for him, brushing off what might have been fear with a casual comment..

“That ride was setup, huh..” He said in disbelief. Only being able to take in that they had gotten down, his tone was directly due to being unsure of how they would be returning to the laboratory above. Yet once again, he was taken for another emotional uprising. The doctor created a distraction in his reference to the bodies before them all, identifying them all to be horrors of various kinds. Undead obviously, and not moving, but animated. His experiments with returning life after death was amazing, and so his actual results were even more of a promise. With his addiction to satisfaction though, he ignored this goodness entirely, his face becoming serious once more, the face that mostly everyone had known the glutton prince for had been returning. A cold stare from narrowed, focused oculars, his red eyes peering his demonic nature unbound. Ravenous hunger in them, the most honest desire to be pleased, thoroughly. He had been promised an arm, he would receive it from the doctor one way or the other. It could be regenerated if he consumed enough mass, that was what he thought upon laying eyes on the hundreds of corpses. “I wonder… How many bodies does it take to reform the center of my bony wrist!” He said aloud, at first in a sing-song voice, but as his sentence led on it would become apparent that he was not only coming upon a lack of patience but also a searing want to retrieve his hand. The Doctor was not in fear at all apparently, but he had already begun to move to appease Beel. Leading him to the arm that he was truly interested in, the spark in his eyes lit like a flame when he first laid eyes on it’s container. It was removed for Beel’s use, and the Doctor invited him to take it. Before going for it though he turned his head to Willhelm “Yes, of course..” He said now with a heavy, lustful tone. Dying to get his hands on this relic, after being teased with the picture he was actually still holding.

“You’re usually satisfied with demon parts and gold. Is that still the deal here?” He asked simultaneously as he had reached for it, taking it quickly to then attach the hand of doom to his own bone. Connecting the two, he tested it simply first, wiggling a few fingers one after another to test it’s versatility. Finding it to be almost a replica of his own large hand, but more befitting of an over-sized gauntlet on his had, just a few sizes bigger due to Beel’s normally large frame. He knew then that it was more of a fit for his demon form, where it would probably coordinate perfectly with him. Towards the voice of another, his entire frame of mind twisted to look in Her direction. An odd woman came upon the four, mysterious, she had approached them all but made note of the Doctor specifically. Saying a piece on the arm itself, then to the doctor, her every line spoken was intoxicated with sarcasm and a casual sense. Was this another being altogether, separate and independent of Hell’s Kitchen? She certainly spoke like it, as if she had no ties, and no special concern for anyone in the room save for Willhelm..
The vixen turned to Beelzebub, who had returned her look with the same one he’d given the doctor moments ago. Who the hell was this?.. She had moved about with a certain daring, that said she could confidently move around in-between the two men and say as well as do as she pleased with no consequence. He planned to knock her out of his concerns the same way he had done to the boy before, his ageless presence had no time for idle chatter with uncaring clowns. Whether male or female.. Before even lifting a finger to do so though, she addressed Beel, or rather both of them. “What being with a thief could give birth to such a creature, that it threatens my realm?” As if he had already won on all other fronts of Hell, to him it was only a matter of time, after all.

Though it could be considered, and if being that powerful existed then it could easily be used against him. This grasped his attention too, he would have to conduct a search for those two, and get them to work for him before their child came to be. Or at least be able to take it for himself. His thoughts changed when she had decided to approach him directly now, Speaking to him as if they had known each other for a time, the second time he had experienced this form of communication with someone else. It was making him uncomfortable, being one to take whatever he wanted, he was being faced now with someone who might have wanted him. The feeling of being overwhelmed with tension, which he had always done to others, the likes of which reminded him of his first times with Najetta. She had practically attacked him then, and here he was now all over again. Though now he was not the boy nervous to make contact with such a fragile-looking frame.. What! Did she want to play with Lord Gluttony himself?.. His arm hooked around her, as she had said that he ought to stay away from his foe’s flames, obviously an insinuation but none of which he was particularly concerned with. No matter what her mouth said, her body had come so close to a fire in itself, he knew nothing of her but that she was a very. Bold. Bitch. His eyes sized her up fast, his new massive right hand dangled at his side. “Surely, that army, andyou would be enough to guard me, even in the face of the flames of my enemies.” He spoke, when he said you his eyes widened, losing their former seriousness to adopt a gluttonous eye once more. Always the idealist.

Jon:  Eren had just finished yawning then realized that doctor was now taking Beel somewhere else, shaking his head he knew he’d have to follow at his point. Taking a step forward he took a glance over his shoulder to Astarte with killing intent. With his respect for her almost gone she could almost be considered an enemy depending on how Blitz would recieve her whenever she would finally find him. “I suggest you leave and don’t comeback.” As he was nearing his new leader and the doctors position he turned his attention to what was in front of him as his words held weight with her especially since she saw what he could do at fifty to seventy-five percent of his power, and him now being at full strength was probably something she couldn’t put onto words but Eren had slipped into a much darker place since the time of her and he last speaking to one another. “If you do decide to comeback. I’ll kill you, eat you, and absorb your very power into my own.” Without another word he had now disappeared with Beel and the doctor to retrieve something, and this something could only he the arm that the gluttonous prince had came here for. It was about time he was getting what we had came here for. For someone who was hungry for almost anything at any given time he sire could hold a conversation and be a consumer of time when he wanted to be, probably the worst trait so far in Eren’s eyes but then he was a prince so maybe this was a casual prince thing. Wasting time. Releasing another sigh he was now behind Beel and the doctor, hands in his pockets he felt eyes on him. Looking up it was a woman who seemed to glance at him and now she was having casual conversation with the doctor about an arm. He didn’t hear much of the conversation but had heard enough to realize that Doom was in the name which brought a sense of excitement out of him but quickly hit something. A wall? No. He had walked into Beel’s back due to his lacking in attention to his surrounding, he wanted to kick Beel for just passing like that in front of him but then quickly realized why he had paused. Stepping out from behind him and now at his side, the side that wasn’t occupied by the female. Glancing around and taking everything in all he could do was just release a heavy breath. He didn’t like the idea of the dead being toyed with in such a way, the idea seemed foul in his eyes but this man seemed to he excited over this. He seems so full of joy, not a single hint of remorse in him but more of bliss and pleasure. This man was a truly sick case but it’s a good thing they weren’t going to be here much longer since Beel had gotten his arm. He felt eyes on him again and it was the same woman from before he was talking to Beel, she seemed to have caught his interest with whatever she was saying and catching his interest wasn’t always the best thing. Eren knew the situation this girl had gotten herself into was a bad one especially since the Prince had place his arm around her, not paying enough attention to the two to truly notice how his arm was placed neither. Eren could assume that the girl was either interested in Gluttony or was just here to be here. He’d doubt she was here to visit him or talk to him so he paid no attention, his focus back on this mass freak show. “Monstrous..” it was the only word he could bring himself to say in this place as no other word could fit the bill of it, it seemed never ending and eternal. Tremendous and terrifying. As much as he didn’t like the idea though if Beel wanted this army then Eren would have to deal with being around or possibly commanding the undead army as a second will to Beel, bring his hand up to the back of his neck he began to massage it. This place was surely giving Eren some tension in his neck. “Lord Beel do we leave now, or is there some more business you have here?” He needed to ask this as he didn’t want to spend any more time than needed in this place. Wondering who else knew about this army, thinking what this army could mean to the gluttonous prince. Everything seemed to be falling into place like a domino effect for the Prince. Gaining to powerful creatures, an assassin, a new arm, and now if he wanted he could possibly be getting an army that could double if not trouble his power. Feeling like his idea to join the Prince was a good one he glanced back at the woman who was next to Beel, looking her up and down for a moment before his eyes look towards her. Saying nothing else his attention returned back to the massive room as he awaited to see what the doctor would say next or what Beel himself would do next, if they were done or if he wanted this army.

Moo:  “Okey doke, Doc. Leave it to me!” Narcissa had looked back toward Wilhelm while she was addressed, but now she turned with a grin toward the man in front of her. “This way, then!” The monster hummed to herself, basically ignoring the other guy with the fire powers. He was busy being confronted by another woman from the looks of things, and she would rather not get close to the fire user. She waved him over instead as he began walking. “Let’s gooo!” Narcissa skipped on ahead to meet with the Doctor and Beel, though keeping her distance for the sake of not upsetting the man who seemed to have a short temper. Traveling with the group was pretty entertaining in itself; the frankensteinian monster was ooh’ing and aw’ing at everything, eyes big and curious. It was cool that Wilhelm had kept this place a secret. Even she hadn’t known about this place before, despite knowing he kept cool artifacts somewhere. The sight of the Hand of Doom itself was awesome to experience for the girl. Narcissa stood closely to the Doctor as she admired it. Until a popping noise came about, anyhow. Then the scene that unfolded was all but something she understood. The girl would just stand there with a slight sway, humming to herself without any regards to how serious this might have actually been. “Hey, is she supposed to be here?” she questioned in a melodic tone. With half a giggle, she tilted her head to the side. “What should we do, Doctor?” Would he just let her stay? It seemed like she was disrespectful, in a weird way. Narcissa understood it though.

The Maze of Greed – The Finale.

We come to the end of the Maze of Greed, with the defeat of Lydia- but the drama isn’t over.  Bandit carries a secret within her that is bound to change everything.

Bandit let herself fall nearly limp in Habib’s arms, shaking still. Her heart beat quickly as all she could smell was the fallen angel, all she could see was him, too.. Eyelids fluttered until they closed completely, her arms reaching up to wrap around the fallen’s neck.. Though, despite how much she shook in fear, some part of her wished that it was not Habib that held her, but Raul. God, what was it that attracted her to the messed and broken? Perhaps, that it was that she herself was a mess, that she too was a broken soul, waiting to be put back together.. Another part of her wished nothing more than to drink this all away, and the final part wanted nothing but her death.. What further suffering could she be spared if she was killed now..? Her eyes opened slowly as she gazed up at Habib, head falling back to be against his arm – there was no in between, she could not hold herself up currently..

Her breathing was hard gasps, almost wheezing rather than actual breaths. Her heart beat seemed almost impossibly fast, echoing — wait a minute.. No. Her heart beat was actually quite faint and slow, but yet.. there was another sound, thumpthumthumpthump, rapid in tune and seeming to come from her lower abdomen.. Oh. Oh.. it was another heartbeat entirely.. Yes. Bandit was pregnant. And Raul was her child’s father.. But she did not yet know of this pregnancy, she did not yet know of the little being that she held inside of her, a child with magic as strong as its father’s and a will to live as strong as its mother’s… Bandit needed nutrition and warmth, she would catch a sickness remaining outside and in such a weakened state – in fact, she could feel the same waves of unconsciousness overcoming her, appearing to be faint for another time. This would not be good for her baby..

Scar was now beaming brightly as his beautiful Princess took his hand. In the change from coming back in the hat, he was actually taller now, and one might say better looking. Maybe it was his love for the young witch that had him appear this way. Then again, it was not how one looked, but what they were truly inside that made them worthy of love. Scar had been to hell and back…really, in order to save the girl of his dreams. He had been sent away in his own hat, and then brought back her family to her in order to help her. Little did he truly understand that in order to save her, she had to learn to save herself. It would be a good lesson for life and one that would be important in the coming days as the rest of hell figured out that Lydia was dead.

Wow…the evil bitch finally got what was coming to her and she had a particularly nasty end. But looking about them now, they would see nothing but beauty. The maze had come back full and strong – vivid and colourful. Gone were the evils that walked its many lengths, but instead there were brightly coloured flowers and singing birds. Maybe this was an unnatural phenomenon in a place like Greed, but it matched the new Princess perfectly.

Scar gave Mariela’s hand a squeeze as he gestured for Sam, Sean and Tessa to follow. The alp knew that the family deserved a reunion that made the whole adventure worth while. In the coming days, Mariela would have a lot of choices to make. For one…she must decide if her family was to return. Mariela might be able to visit them, but the truth was she now belonged in Hell, and Greed was her kingdom and her home.

“Wait till you guys see the castle. It’s probably still a mess from the ball. Hope they have clean up crews working on it.” No truer statement had been made. There had been magical fights up there and much destruction and death. Not exactly the kind of place you want to take your relatives. Walking past the great giant Douglas, you could see the ginger haired mountain was happy for the small couple, but he was also sad in a way. There was no going back to the Fallen mansion now, and even if he could….Quinn was not there. His only friend in the worlds. He had lost his family long ago, and had no one to call his….or a real home. Some were getting their happy ever afters and others were not. The biggest losers were those that chose to play their worst cards with little regard for the others. Raul…Lydia…both lost.

The giant wiped away a stray tear as he leaned on his battle axe. The maze in behind him was in full bloom and colour. Did it really need a gardener now? Slowly, he made his way out of the maze and continued his search for the hell hound…his only friend.

(TC – Douglas)

Further back, Habib was holding onto the very tired looking Bandit. Her breathing was still shallow and her gasping came hard and sounded dreadful. She needed rest from all that had happened, and the fallen held her very close to him as he started to follow the rest of the party. But it was during that first few steps that he felt not one…but two heartbeats. Strange. A human only has….Habib’s eyes widened at the realization. No…it can’t be. Was Bandit pregnant? He stopped long enough to let the others get well ahead before saying anything.

“I was going to take you away from this realm to a place where you can be healed…..but, it may destroy the life within you.” The fallen knew that if Bandit was indeed pregnant, and if the baby belonged to who he thought it did, that there was no way she could leave hell now. The fallen had to think quickly. The Princess and her family were just getting on with their lives, and now this. If Raul found out, he would bring about such death and destruction to get back Bandit and their child. Habib’s wings burst into life and without looking back, he pushed off from the ground, soaring into the air with Bandit in his arms. He needed to find her a temporary sanctuary from all that could harm her so he could think of what to do next.

Her life…and that of her unborn depended on it.

One Hell of an Offer – Hell’s Kitchen : SS

The Prince of Gluttony is given an offer that is very hard to refuse.

Scene setting – Hell’s Kitchen : SS.

Co-written with Zetta, Moo, Artie, Frids and Aion.

Zetta:  The air was thick with atrocity, untold badness swarmed this place like locust. Blitz couldn’t put his finger on anyone’s scent right now, there was far too many others in the wind, even with the door busted open leading a gentle breeze consistently throughout the place there was no immediate change in what he was catching whiff of. Having already deduced a hint of death, there was too much to be normal, it was amazing to him that the others had not been hacking up. Since it had barely been a day since he last ate, at the ball, he was certainly capable of doing so, only through consideration for his surroundings that he managed to restrain himself. Eren seemed idle, oh well, the other man aligned with Gluttony would begin moving about on his own as usual. Despite this allied force, the likes of Blitz was boundless compared to mortals, not out of any desire to turn on authority, but because he was free completely. “I’m parkin’ it here, Boss. This place creeps me out..” He said simply, wanting to post himself up against the other side of the wall from Victoria, the woman appeared to take solace in current loneliness.

So without another word he would begin walking backwards until getting on the opposite side of doorway. Then, before creating any distance between Beelzebub and the Doctor, who had just approached the three of them, he heard the addressing of a title. Prince of Gluttony… Out of everything, those were the words the male deity hung onto. Prior to coming into Hell’s Kitchen, Blitz had taken steps into the place after the blonde assassin, he had a similar demeanor that she appeared to, generally uncaring. After hearing that last bit though, he acknowledged the prince he followed as someone who was not just strong and capable of forcing change, but one who others as well made note of. The doctor bowed then, just as the deformed man in his service had prior, this would be the first time Blitz felt proud to be aligned with someone. While close-range, he then took in as much information as he could about the doctors capabilities, while remaining unaware of exactly how science defined the doctor, he at least knew of any supernatural abilities under his possession. From there he turned towards Victoria, already knowing some of her arsenal he wanted to see why exactly the glutton prince had come to her directly, giving her ultimatums and clawing her from Anarchy Division, instead of just paying her for a temp-service as a body guard.

“How long have you and the prince exchanged like that?” He said inquisitively, but also nonchalant. When he came to assist Eren, Victoria was already at Beelzebub’s defense. Yet here she was actively avoiding a supportive role to the man, caked on top of their words to each other earlier he already suspected a serious bad-blood between them. This could easily be explained if she told him something like ‘long story’ though, speaking seemed to be a problem for her, so he was already not expecting much. Realistically though,he wanted to kill time without leaving the building and without stepping any further inside.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

His face twisted at Victoria’s response, referring to him as a bug which she intended to smash, she mentioned him being on a paper. “Whoa, whoa.. You almost upset me just then.” Spoken without even the slightest emotion, since he already had what he wanted in her being with him, there was no need to be angry regardless of what she said. To express this, he told her differently, with an evident tone of a liar, or someone who did not care, the order of things was all in his hands. If not, her words translated to him that to her, the prince was merely an inconvenience, in accordance to the words of praise he had just given to that of an insect. The beetle, her intended taunt became verbal proof of what he was saying, that while she apparently belittled him from the start, he had effortlessly severed her connection to Anarchy Division. Scoffing to show an attitude he moved ahead of her still..

Beelzebub was first welcomed by Igor, after first greeting the hunchbacked man, taking in formalities that were customary to only that of the Seven Princes. Even that of nobles paled in comparison to the gratitude necessary to show to one of them, the demonic glutton specifically had this treatment directly after his birth. It was odd when he was approached so casually by that man in the Town Square, but he decided then that if he was not preoccupied he would have gone to eat him. Therefore casting the disrespect off as a fluke. In this regard he chuckled lightly, until that of the Doctor appeared, showing up with a punctual welcoming that overshadowed his assistant’s presence completely. The Prince nodded at the address before watching the bow take place, the same time that he was relayed to by one of his new subordinates, Blitz. Beel’s hand was still in pocket, and so to ‘shoo’ off that advance he shrugged his shoulders. “Just don’t make it hard to find you.” Even with being told that the man would remain at the entrance/exit, people always had a way of doing their own thing, his words then was a reply to that. Just then, the Doctor would return to his standing straight position, his shoes clicked together still in what would seem to be a prepped stance..

“Huhuh-” A chuckle, but in his dark, deep, low-tone voice, even that came out altered to sound rather menacing in nature.. Now that the two main players were looking eye-to-eye it was time to get things moving again, first order of business, the Doctor caught on quick and already moved to lead the man down a corridor. They would be headed to the main office, thankfully without any apparent delay. “My eyes were bigger than my stomach.” A play on his represented sin, the prince had indeed bit off more than he could chew choosing to go head to head with Mammon with nothing but a fist. Overconfidence left him with a reminder of that battle, but with his friend dead, there was not even a means of getting payback. Though he would find himself tearing down Lydia, and her Kingdom, just to spit on what legacy that man left behind. Nothing personal, as Greed would be one of the last most likely, with it’s diminished army.. Beelzebub was just hungry for more.

Moo:  Narcissa was not a creature to sleep. Being up all night, she could only lay there and be a good monster for the Doctor. Otherwise, who would entertain her? She did it herself, often reading through books on anatomy or other cool things the Doctor did with the bodies they collected. How long before they would raise an army of people like Loc? Certainly not as special as she was with the powers she’d been granted. Her feet kicked silently and slowly as she laid there with a book in front of her, humming quietly. Nobody else was in the room; it was a time for her to be subtle. Until the door popped open. She swore she heard it, but when she looked back, it was closed again. The frankensteinian monster merely shrugged and continued her humming and reading. There was a muffled yell from the hall, grabbing her attention at long last and she sat herself up, peering back at the door. Narcissa knew it was early in the morning by now, so maybe the Doctor was finally awake. She stood to walk toward the door, opening it slowly to look out. To no avail. But she did hear Loc and Igor having their own fun in the Doctor’s chambers. Her eyebrows lifted as she listened, and finally giggled, grinning to herself before she slipped out of the room to make her way to the chambers. But oops, too slow. Narcissa looked around, continuing toward the front of the building as she slid the lab coat on over her body and buttoned it around the waist. “GOOD MORNING!” she nearly bellowed out to the rest of the building, grinning. From the noises and chatter coming from different directions, it was apparent that the Doctor was busy. Maybe the entire crew would have their work cut out for them.

Frid:  After instructing Loc to simply set the door aside he then motioned for the gigantic lout to head into the foyer. Seemingly excited to meet a new friend Loc set the heavy door off to the side before lumbering his way toward the two men. Once he had positioned himself accordingly Igor launched into a sing song like introduction. “Loc…is his name. The latest from the factory floor. Fresh off the field of Wrath. A real keeper.” Intrigued by the hunchback’s words Delsin took a step forward and eyed the creature briefly. Judging by the various body parts and stitching covering his entire body the rumors Delsin had heard about the Doctor were true. Not only could mend the wounded he could also bring them back from the dead too! As further confirmation to the bounty hunter’s suspicions a Voice rang out saying “I made him.”

The Doctor had just reached the end of the stairs tugging at his jacket sleeves before noticing the door had been knocked clean off its hinges.“We have a bell, you know.”The Doctor added, before extending his hand towards Delsin and introducing himself. Glad to finally meet the eccentric Doctor the bounty hunter took his hand and shook it firmly. “Delsin Rowe, perhaps I’ll use the doorbell on the next visit.” he retorted casually before Loc interrupted with a low growling sound. Shortly after dark shadows began entering the doorway and then the foyer. Delsin quickly released the Doctor’s hand and looked to the entryway curious as to the cause of the disturbance.

Much to his dismay the bounty hunter saw none other than the Prince of Gluttony himself step into the room. In addition the Prince had also brought a few other travelers along with him. Of all the royal princes of hell Beel was probably the most self-righteous of the bunch and expected all to kneel to his greatness. Right on cue Igor and the Doctor smiled at the gelatinous prince and greeted him happily. Delsin on the other hand had decided to skip the formalities and simply lean up against a nearby wall. he then pulled out a small pack of cigarettes he’d stashed in the breast pocket of his jacket. With little care for anyone else in the room Delsin placed one of the slender white cylinders between his lips and promptly lit the other end with a few sparks from his fingers. With the cigarette now alight he took took few deep breaths allowing the noxious smoke to fill his lungs. Enjoying the taste he held his breath for a moment then released a cloud of thick black smoke as he exhaled. Once the Doctor had finished exchanging pleasantries with his new guests he motioned for the group to follow to the main office. Without a word Delsin peeled himself from the wall and headed for the office behind the others, all the while still puffing on his cigarette carelessly.

Aion:

Eren had little to no care in the world at this point due to the many things he seemed to be involved in, and the thing he was involved in. It was rare for him to be so active but being this active is something that could be worthwhile due to him following a constant hunger in Beel, and a powerful fight in Blitz. Just being around two extremely strong people was enough to get his blood going and get him motivated to start something but at this point it was his place to be starting anything but to simply be the finisher in whatever Beel decided to do for himself. Eren had been following Blitz and the Prince along with the girl for sometime until they reached a structure. Never coming into this place before or knowing of its existence he simply ignored it until they were at the doors to it in which a question was asked of him from Blitz. “Nope I haven’t actually. I never even knew this place existed here, and I’m assuming you had no idea of this place either since you’re asking if I’ve ever been here.” Shaming his head he slid his hands into his pockets. The sights that he had saw when he actually did step into this place was beyond foul, the stench of blood and death was almost toxic but to him this was normal, the smell of death and the aroma of blood lingering was something he loved especially since it was a rarity for him to even act in such a way. Enjoying the smell so much he I baled deeply through his nostrils, inhaling so hard he sucker the air out of the room for a brief moment before exhaling with a small smile. He was about to say something to Beel when a man who creepiness was beyond a level he had never felt before, an uneasy feeling that made him ball his first but release it just as quick as Eren wasn’t here to fight but to await lord Beel’s arm to either be heal or recieve a new one all together. Releasing a soft sigh he was now leaning up against the wall with Blitz now, he glanced st Victoria but she seemed to have a stick up her ass for some reason or another but most likely due to what had occurred in the Town earlier. Chuckling go himself he closed his eyes for a moment to catch his thoughts on what was happening.

Following a gluttonous prince, following Blitz, a brute of a female who doesn’t speak any English, a doctor who is far beyond any level of creepiness he’s seem so far, and an unknown agenda that Beel has yet to reveal to anyone. Releasing a soft sigh he glanced up to see that Beel was following after the doctor now. Using the air waves in this place to hear the words Beel had been saying Eren relaxed at the door with Blitz and would stay idle here until the Prince would return with or without the doctor.

Finally feeling at ease after all this time his breathing was regulated now and seemed normal but that was until his heart nearly skipped a beat at the loud noise of someone in this place, not being able to pinpoint the exact position of this person was annoying but did they have to be so loud? Shaking his head slowly he tilted his head to Victoria as Blitz had asked her question, and then his head titled to Blitz. “Do you think she’s this angry because she doesn’t get none? I’ve heard that can happen, or do you think she’s mad because of something? Maybe frustrated about something internally?” He remembered the sly remark she gave him back in the town so he’d take the perfect opportunity to get under her skin in any way possible. She was female with way too much confidence in her own ability as if she couldn’t get overwhelmed by anyone here if they truly wanted, not focusing on her any longer he bag snapping his finger to create fire, and destroy the fire on his fingertips as a source of enjoyment until Beel came back from whatever he’s deciding to do. Smelling smoke Eren looked I the direction of the man who was smoking a cigarette and sighed, all that harmful smoke that nobody wants to inhale, Eren pointing his finger at the man fired off a bullet sized fireball at the cigarette in an attempt to get him to drop the thing or at least get somewhere that nobody has to smell that. It would just be better for everyone as well as the man to just put out his cigarette and move on with his day until they leave at least.

Razorbackwriter:

Hell’s Kitchen

For such an early hour, business appeared brisk. First the arrival of the gentleman by the name of Delsin Rowe. The Doctor had not encountered this chap before, but he was well mannered enough, even buying into the Doctor’s sarcastic comment that he might consider using the doorbell when he next came to visit the Lab. Word must be spreading about the Doctor’s work, for Deslin to have come to meet with the Doctor personally – and that can be counted as a good thing. Any publicity being good publicity. The Doctor was about to ask the man as to the nature of his visit, when the Prince of Gluttony and his entourage entered the building. There are certain rules of behavior that are established throughout the many realms of Hell, and respect for the Princes – regardless of sin was paramount. One wrong word….one foolish gesture and your entire business could literally go up in flames. Wilhelm was sure to get back to attending to Deslin after he was sure to greet the Prince and his party with a dignified response. A throwback from his German heritage, he acted much like his grandfather would have when meeting a dignitary.

The Doctor’s eyes went from the Prince, to each in his party. A very large chap that could not hide the look of disapproval for what was either the decor, or possibly the smell. The lab was like a catacomb of various buildings and underground chambers that housed thousands of rotting corpses. Many were kept on ice, but…with the recent war in wrath, they still had many to catalog from before the Greed ball. The smell of death was not to everyone’s tastes, but the Doctor had grown accustom to it. A woman had followed along behind the gentlemen, but she was quite vocal in her sarcasm – though it had nothing to do with the lab nor its staff. That was more of a private matter, and was treated just as such. The final man to enter took an interest in the Prince’s dealing with the Doctor. Perhaps a loyal follower, but he showed little to no interest in the lab either. This was just another port of call, before they returned to their own realm. The gathering hovered about the entrance, the first male suggesting that he would wait there, probably so he wouldn’t be sickened by the horrid aroma. They were just damn lucky that Loc was no longer suffering from the effects of the garlic pizza. One blast from his anus and it was enough to melt your face off.

Much to the Doctor’s surprise however, Narcissa appeared – her voice booming out towards all assembled with her cheery greeting. The Doctor glanced upward and looked about for Shamus Gold, who thankfully had not reappeared. Seeing his Frankenstein female creation, he waved her down to meet with the new guests.

“Narcissa. Would you be so kind as to offer the Prince’s minions some refreshments. Oh…and get Deslin here an ashtray.” The smell of cigarette smoke having reached him. Amazing how the Doctor’s nose was quite sensitive to it. Igor happened to notice that the last guest to arrive had aimed a small fire ball like charge towards the cigarette that Deslin was holding. Would the man really consider such behavior in the Doctor’s foyer? What was worse was that Narcissa could get caught in the crossfire.

The Doctor knew that the Prince would hunger for something much more than the odd tray of finger food and chicken nuggets. Walking into his main office, the priority was to ensure his guests were all catered to – be it food, drink…or in the Prince’s case a new arm. He happened to make a throwaway comment that his eyes were bigger than his stomach. This must have had to do with how he came to lose his arm in the first place. The Doctor did not know the details, but he did know that he was the man that could do something about it.

Going into the main office, was like entering a strange specimen collection room, matched with a large desk, rows of book cases, and tanks that were filled with all manner of creatures. Life sized and suspended in special aminoic like fluid. The many creatures looked to be sleeping almost. It was clear that the Doctor had some very strange hobbies. If the Prince and Deslin happened to notice Narcissa, the Doctor would comment.

“Narcissa was….my first attempt at resurrection. Though she is a special case.” Wilhelm did not want to elaborate further on that, as it brought back so many haunting memories. If Deslin and the Prince entered the inner sanctum of the Doctor’s office, they would be offered a large leather chair each, as the Doctor prepared to help each in turn. The most obvious was of course the Prince, since he was visibly missing an arm. Leaning against his desk, he folded his arms, studying the damaged limb. Wilhelm thought for a moment as he considered the options that were available.

“My Lord Beelzebub, I imagine you wish to have something unique and more useful in place of the arm you have lost. Come to think of it, I may have something that would only add to your great power.” Unfolding his arms, he walked around his desk and then pulled open a drawer that held many cream coloured files. It was a good thing that he was so particular when it came to cataloging body parts, especially at a time like this. “I am quite capable of building a cybernetic replacement that doubles as an arm cannon…..HOWEVER…I was thinking of something more solid.”Wilhem gripped his right hand into a fist as he said the word ‘solid’, then pulled out a picture of exactly what he had in mind. He closed his eyes for a moment, after he had stared at the image on the paper.

“This…is known as the Right hand of doom.” The arm was reddish in colour and looked to be made from rock, with special markings on the sides. “Don’t ask me how I got it. Let’s just say, I have many associates on the black market willing to trade anything for a price.” the Doctor then passed the picture over to Beelzebub, waiting to see his reaction.“First and foremost is its durability, it is made of a rock-like substances which makes it very hard and impossible to injure. It’s also shown mystic properties, from the reports I have.” If this was a sales pitch, the Doctor was being a real pro. “From testing, it has unharnessed levels of power, that are yet to be discovered. Barely tapped the surface on that, my Lord.” With an arm like this…imagine what it could do to the balance of the Hell Princes. For what Beelzebub had lost, this would be a very rewarding replacement.

This was why the Doctor was so good at what he did. Research and constantly striving to learn as much as he could about the lore and availability of useful creatures and body parts for his experiments.

“The best part….it works even without its original host.” What more could you want?

As the Prince was left to ponder this interesting possible replacement, the Doctor shifted his attention over to Deslin. “I imagine you are not here to invest in spare parts.” Wilhelm had not noticed a deformity upon the man’s person. “If you are selling bodies, we do have a pick up service. We aim to please.”

Artie:  Victoria gazed off into the distance, fuming quietly. Great. More people to see her shame of being associated with the bumbling giant. She spoke no words back to Blitz, nor Eren, already angered enough. As if she really needed this in her life. She was second in Command of the Anarchy Division. No prince owned her. No inferior being such as the troublemaking fire man could make her flinch. If he wanted to make dirty jokes and degrade her, fine. But she would not stoop to his level. The blonde assassin gazed aimlessly at the room’s contents, not quite registering what she was saying but gazing anyway… “Be back at castle.” Her words should have been mumbled, but instead were loud and steady. Proud. As if she couldn’t give any less of a fuck on his response – which, frankly, she couldn’t. In fact, she’d love very much to blow his brains out. “Use your little insects to find me. They are all you have.”

That comment also insulted Eren and Blitz, insinuating that they were no more than insects. How dare she talk to them in such a voice, you ask? Because, frankly, she could not muster a fuck to give. With those words Victoria would open the large doors of the Laboratory, walking out and not even bothering to close them behind her. She’d go to the Kingdom, but not willingly. And not soon, anyway. With his damned spies, Victoria felt she didn’t have a choice – and that was something that irritated her more than anything else ever could.

Zetta:  The room echoed with plague, with even the slightest turns of his head the Glutton Prince could identify the numerous horrors in the Laboratory section of Hell’s Kitchen. It seemed that no matter where his red oculars took him, he was constantly absorbing another sighting of terror. His walk was steady at first, but then became slightly awkward when he began twisting his body to face different directions, his legs following after. At this time, the only one still walking nearby was Eren, who had then immediately halted his own moving forward to allow Beelzebub to aimlessly look around at his surroundings. The one who was not so attentive, similar to the prince in that he did not particularly care for the others in the room except for the Doctor, was the man who visited this establishment before the ravenous demon himself. Delsin, the rumored bounty hunter, unintentionally came right into Beel’s pathway, the one he had personally been paying no mind to. Where normally, the two beings would collide, bringing them both apart in an initial forceful budge: Beelzebub was far bigger, and more immense in terms of mass and strength. Beel would bump into the bounty hunter, and push him aside. To which, the air itself parted itself from the quickness when he felt something collide with his large body, instantly pausing his every motion to confront this annoyance..

“Delsin, huh.” He said, with a light snarl. “Watch yourself, or i’ll eat you.” Without any knowledge of who or what the person was, he threatened to indulge himself with their entirety, this was mutually a warning as well, to make the man then acknowledge who it was beside him. Regardless of the response, Beelzebub would turn away with a rather regal look, and decide to walk forward, ignoring the presence thereafter to continue on his own whims. Unlike before however, he was now alert to the surrounding, having been inconvenienced with his own lack of concerns at the time. Following after Dr. Willhelm without missing a beat. Upon passing through the double-doors, being led by the Doctor himself, Beelzebub was opened up to many different ideas. All of which originated from what he was newly introduced to, entrapped within a building of glorious experiments, the man was almost panting like a dog with all that the other man before him had been so committed to. “You’ve really done well in presentation, Doc, I would like a facility just as productive as this in my Kingdom.” Spoken true, and at the same time Victoria had vocalized her parting, which was smart considering what Beel had told her prior to getting here. The doctor’s good impressions had blinded him completely to the blonde’s presence. So he said a bit on this impression, smiling now, to have unwarranted linings of corpses all in one place to test out he would definitely find some ways of genetic manipulation. That very thought consuming him more and more with each passing second. This would speak to Beelzebub’s character, his reaction to Delsin was how a ‘typical’ royal would act in such a circumstance with someone they did not know. His reaction to the Doctor was more of his concern, and so had deserved his appreciation so that he might be able to attain something he wanted..

As they first past into the room where the prince would be intrigued the most: They were welcomed in with an unexpected cheeriness from another assistant, this one female and not hardly a sight for sore eyes unlike the others he had previously been introduced to. Save for that tall man who had been fumbling with the door earlier, prior to the Prince’s arrival with his own group. Shortly after laying eyes on the nurse he had received a very similar introduction as when he first met Igor, just another creation at first, until the being adopted their own personality over time. This one already seemed to be bursting with energy. His eyes lit up upon catching wind of an animated corpse before him. “You resurrected her?!.. Was it with magic, or science?” His kind had only just begun to find themselves breaching the threshold that humans had already dived into that was technology. Although barely understood, he did know that workings of mechanics had done some amazing things in foreign lands, one such was with the Doctor’s experiments. An answer wasn’t needed immediately, because it was then that Beelzebub was introduced to yet another fascination when Willhelm spoke, first of cybernetics, something beyond what he personally knew of, and then when the other man bawled his fist. The word ‘solid’ made the prince antsy, it became apparent that the Doctor had something special in mind, as he should with a highly frequent and paying customer. “The Hand of Doom?” As it was probably originally called, since it could be potentially be modified to fit onto either hand, had rubbed the glutton prince in all of the right ways. Every word spoken of the item was to his greatest desire, the Doctor knew all of the right words, the thing was sold before he had even finished, but the other man did well to explain it’s qualities so that the consumer ate it all up.

As usual of Beel though.. This called for some thinking about, the Doctor mentioned it’s usefulness without it’s original host, a pondering concept to be looked into while taking a seat on the lounge chair prepared for him. A more thoughtful consumer would have needed an explanation on what that entailed, and knowledge of whatever mystics enchanted the item itself, as far as truer capabilities and limits. However, for the glutton, all he needed to know was that it could replace his missing hand, and that with it he would be at a greater advantage. He was already given his cake with that knowledge, and all of it’s selling points was that cake being fed slowly to him. Ideal for the plans he was setting into motion. With paper in-hand on it’s schematics, the prince became so excited that he leaped from his chair, moments after having it setup for him. It was slightly crumbled in his hand, obviously from the unrestrained excitement. “Yes!.. I want it! Where is it!” Like a kid in a candy store. But his voice was still filled with base, deep with masculinity as an example of the man from whence it came. Beelzebub would have shoved the hand onto the bone of his forearm with no hesitation if he could have, most likely the reason why it was not put before him yet. When his seller had taken to cater to the other guest, it left the prince jittery since he had already come to his decision, not instantly though.. Where had that wonderful opportunity gone, and why!?
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Blitz had already taken to crossing his legs, his head was up watching the Prince of Gluttony move off with Eren, and the other man he had not come to know just yet. Instead of approaching that one for his identity though, the man himself was taking to a conversation with Victoria, the intelligent kinetic was a misty haze of questions. All of which were towards her being here, allied with Gluttony. He took no part in their engagement after all. It would be a challenge to get her to open up, he knew, because her aura of fury, even while hiding these feelings from her facial expression. Every mannerism and word she gave up was one of disrespect or disdain of some kind, most would take this as an individual who is simply bitter but there was very likely a heavy brand of honest loyalty invoked here. Eren had decided to stay behind momentarily, shooting a comment as the blonde lady for being inactive, coincidentally the demigod had only recently come from living in that frame of reference. He and Astarte shared a long time in relations with one another, it was why her disappearing act had him so alert at first. Out of trust, these thoughts had been disbanded almost entirely, but now he was faced with them again after the revival of a topic. With a simple sigh, he reminded himself of the words he thought up then, and was right back on track with the verbal exchange between Eren, Victoria, and Blitz himself..

Or at least what it would have been if the woman was not so taken aback by the words spoken, she removed herself entirely from the conversation. Before she stayed back at the entrance to distance herself from Beelzebub, now she had lifted herself off of the wall and left the building itself. Saying only to Beel that she would be at the castle. It seemed unlikely that she would accomplish anything, but even more frustration if strapped to her lonesome. Getting in the castle wouldn’t be an easy task either considering she did not seem especially powerful, if she marched to the gates in a huff then she would be subject to attack. “I’ll make sure sure she doesn’t do anything stupid..” He muttered as he rose himself from the wall as well.. Similar to how he was attacked by Sloth in attendance at Greed, things just happened when it came to the seven Kingdoms in Hell, this being the prominent reason for his own joining up with Gluttony, having a name that held weight backing his every motive. With this thought he put to fingers to his forehead in a quick solute to Eren as he would take off after the woman. “I’ll make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid, guess we’ll be meeting at the castle man.” He said, a wide grin overwhelming most of the bottom-half of his face. Blitz took off with rapid-flight, with two guards gone, this left Eren to be the only one still at Beelzebub’s side. The black-phoenix’ presence was needed though while their prince had only a single hand in his defense, his mind daunted over to the possibility of Eren earning a higher rank than he, when the time came for the prince to actually assign jobs to his new officers. He decided to be uncaring about it, so long as he got to fight without leisure. Right now he would be right after Victoria.

Moo:  Narcissa cheerfully made her way toward the Doctor as she was waved over. Glancing around at the guests curiously, she grinned again and waved as a simple means to greet everyone simultaneously. Her head turned as Wilhelm addressed her, nodding. “Sure, Doctor.” The girl hummed a tune while she turned to let herself out, hearing his statement as the door closed behind her. A shrug of her shoulders. Narcissa was his first creation, yes. But she was still impressive. Despite her seemingly overly-bright personality and simple-mindedness, she was still capable of a few feats anyone had yet to see. Or, anyone but the Doctor himself, at least.

Grabbing an ashtray for the man named Deslin was easy enough. Narcissa’s eyes wandered about the room when she rejoined it, ashtray in one hand, glass in another. Conversation was still going on–something about a Hand of Doom. The frankensteinian monster made a long, low whistle at the sound of the name. It was an impressive thing the Doctor had in store. For him to offer it to Gluttony meant some good business in the future, if he was in fact able to throw the sales pitch successfully. She looked up at the towering prince; taller than even herself, standing at six feet. A slight shrug of her shoulders and she walked over to Deslin with a smile. “Here ya go.” She offered the tray, lifting her hand with it flat in her palm…just in time for a small bullet-size flame to whizz right above it toward the man’s cigarette. Without actually shrieking, Narcissa was quick to jump back with widened eyes and a rather loud gasp. Hopefully the flame hadn’t caught Deslin or any flammables behind him. Narcissa turned to glare at whoever the culprit was. Yes–glare. Fire brought out some of the worst in her, after all.

The Maze of Greed – Part Seventeen : SS.

Bandit’s life flashes in front of her eyes as she is about to find peace within the arms of a fallen.  Was she accepting her death, or was this last explosion of memories to make her realize the little girl she had forgotten?

Scene setting : The Maze of Greed – Seven Sins series.

Co-written with Dessy, Artie and Phyln.

Dessy:  Mariela shot a look towards Raul, but said nothing else on the matter. “Scar…” she said when he snarled, but said nothing more. She looked up at Habib, giving a nod before being handed Bandit. She actually struggled a little bit to hold her up this time, walking over to a nearby fountain and kneeling down, layign Bandit down in front of it… but it wasn’t as easy as it was before.

She turned around hearing Raul’s begging voice, and cocked her head at the tears in his eyes. “You actually care for her.” she spoke out loud. “You have a funny way of showing it.” she then spoke. “Hurting her to where she’s an inch away from death and placing a collar on her like a dog isn’t a very good way to show you “love her”.” she then snapped, before looking at Bandit.

She moved her hand around, sprouting a few vines to wrap around Bandit’s injured leg. They glowed slightly, healing the leg. “You don’t have to give your life. As much as I’d love to kill you for everything you’ve done, there’s no need.” she spoke. She could hear the gasps come from Tessa and her brothers, but the witch just rolled her eyes. “Come on, Bandit.” she then said, leaving her hand over the vine wrapped around the leg, greatening the healing magic occasionally.

Mariela whipped her head around when Scar snarled again. “Scar! Let him go.” she spoke. “He’s not going to do anything.” she spoke, before turning her gaze towards Raul. “If he does, I’ll be more than happy to take care of him myself.”

Whispers of many, voices garbled together in a chorus of words that Bandit could not understand. Flashing lights consumed her eyes, scenes that she could not focus on from her memory encasing her, consumed with the unconsciousness of her physicality as her life flashed before her eyes. Bandit’s mind was a chorus of crescendos, an orchestrated chaos. While she would remain limp physically and paled, on the brink of death, life surged within her in a rush of force greater than it ever had before. The lights grew faster in speed, the whispers had begun a hissing and definite roar – so much so that she wished to cover her ears and scream to make it stop, to halt the yells. Pieces of her past conversations of all sorts mentally assaulted her, loud over the whispers.

“Mommy, I’m scared.” A small girl’s voice.
“I know baby.. Be strong, Beatrix. Be strong.” An older and mature woman voice.
“Mama!” The girl was crying now, a shuffle as a chorus of yelling began, men, a gunshot..

Whispers.

SLAP.
“I hate you!” Teenage girl, screaming through tears.
“You should never have been born!” A man, older. Slurred words. Drunk.

Louder, more voices of whispering.

“Don’t touch me, don’t touch- Don’t touch me!

The whispers began to be overpowering.

Sobbing, soft and muffled, as though a young woman was crying herself to sleep..

Silence.

A single memory found itself to her subconscious. A better time, before she had earned her nickname. Back when her name was not Bandit.. but Beatrix. When she sustained enough innocence to be nothing more than a human, with issues but otherwise unscathed by the future hardships of the world in front of her.. The world that she would know to be cruel and unforgiving, willing to allow a woman to die for its own entertainment. To sit back and watch as a girl who had only tried to live became nothing more than a chew toy for others to tug-o-war with..

“Mama?” Beatrix asked, held in her mother’s loving arms. “Yes, my dear?” The woman had kind eyes and dark hair, but her eyes were a striking blue – cold, if not for the warm smile always planted on her face. Cold, if not for the lovingness that always came from her, the willingness to be there for what was her pride and joy.. The small girl held in her arms. Blue eyes gazed back into the woman’s, but these were duller. They were not striking, but simply calming, as if gazing into an ocean. Her blonde hair was pure and untainted, much like the soul within her. Beatrix could not have been older than six, perhaps maybe four or five..

“Why isn’t Daddy home?” Beatrix’s eyes were merely curious, lacking sadness and not yet understanding the concept…
“Daddy had to go out and see his friends. He’s drinking his medicine, sweetie.” The woman’s face faltered for a split second – one that Beatrix would not note, gazing down at her mother’s beautiful curls and looking back up to the smile that made the young girl smile in return. Oblivious. Ignorance was bliss..

A sudden and loud thud would then make the woman look up, from down the hall.. Something was different. It was not the knocking over of objects.. It was a gunshot. “Honey. Beatrix, baby.” Amoria crouched down to gaze at her daughter. “You need to go to the closet, and I need you to hide. Daddy’s medicine didn’t work today, he’s feeling sick. Okay?”

“Mommy,” Beatrix’s face had fallen. “I’m scared..” She sudden began to gaze around. Another crash further down the hall. Loud footsteps.. Her father’s friends had come along?

“I know, baby. Be strong, Beatrix. Be strong.” With a waving motion, Amoria would then turn to have her back towards Beatrix, standing at full height as though ready to protect her child. Beatrix did not recognize the bruises on her mother’s wrists back then.

Beatrix’s eyes widened as she suddenly was overcome with fear, waddling with her small and inexperienced feet towards her mother, seeking warmth and comfort that she would never again feel – “Mama!”

The door burst open.

. . .

Bandit burst awake, tears in her eyes as she gasped, sitting up. A hand flinged itself over her chest, oxygen coming slowly to her as it was painful to breathe. The flood of emotions drowned her, the waves overtook her body as she was suddenly consumed in painful sobs. It hurt to cry, her chest burned with each breath. Movements sent flames throughout her body.. She was consumed with pain, the intense healing on her already weak human body nearly shattering it. Her blue eyes held even more emotional pain that physical, the emotions perhaps restricting her breaths more than her actual injuries. “Fuck! Fuck!” Each word was breathless, mixed with a choking cough.

“I can’t.. breathe!” She was breathing, but it didn’t feel like air was going through to her. For the first time in her short life, Bandit had broken down. Even Raul’s mind games had not broken her. Her first love leaving had not broken her. The death of her mother had not broken her. The abandonment of her father had not broken her. But now, with all of it coming back at once, she broke into a million pieces. A million small fragments of the girl she had been. Tender, stripped of emotions and guards that years had prepared her for putting up.. And now they had been stripped down, leaving her defenseless in front of so many people.

Her legs had ceased to bleed and now she could feel them, the dull and numb feeling that coursed from him into her core. She was a mess of tears and blood, her hair dirty in contrast to the innocent blonde it had once been in her memory. The dull blue and clueless eyes in her past were now bright and shining from the tears once within them. They had become striking, they were striking. She did not have the same warmth as her mother. The cold had consumed her – she had not consumed it…

For once, in her life, Bandit felt a need for warmth. A need..
“Someone hold me!” The words were gasped, her body shaking as she was continuously healed – it was a necessary evil for her to live, but in her conscious state it only brought her pain..

Phyln: His grasp was final he was not the reaper but he entertained the idea that he was the janitor of the dead, he did not farry souls over the river or collect them from the world of the living. No his was a much simpler task more often than not when the ever flowing tides of chaos removed another damned being from its eternal or rather not so eternal existence in hell he would sweep away the remnants of the power it had once possessed. grabbing a hold of the soul he began the process of adding it to his collection, dragging the spirit towards him it struggled clearly still clinging to the life it once had. However it was too late it had no where to go, even if he released it where would it run to. it was not hard to hold onto a soul when it has no where to go slowly he dragged it across the ethereal plain into the bag. as it entered the strings on the bag drew them selves closed over what to the mortal eye would appear to be nothing. opening his eyes with his task finished he fastened the bag to his belt and raised one hand in prayer. “May your eternal rest be peaceful for you have served your damnation”. his prayers were little more than ceremony at this point offering nothing than words to the dead. He turned and began his treck out of the maze at his usual brisk pace.

Razorbackwriter:

Greed: The Masquerade Ball : Maze

The passing of Lydia’s soul over into the bag after putting up such a struggle meant the end of the reign of the Princess of Greed. All her magical power was now within the young witch, whether she realized this or not. Would the witch end up being cursed just as the other heads of Greed had been, or will this be the dawning of a new era? Anything was possible, least that is how things were happening up further in the now beautiful maze.

A woman who had been beaten within an inch of her life, and forced to wear a collar that’s magic drained the wearer was so close to death that nothing that the Warlock or even the fallen could do to stop the inevitable. However, it was within this moment, when life is slipping away that we look back one last time at all that has happened to us over the course of our lives. With the group watching on – fearful that Bandit would die, they were unaware that she was experiencing this near death slide show of her life, from child hood till the bitter end. It is interesting that it is not one single event in our lives that makes us who we are, but rather it is like an enormous patch work quilt. Each piece sewn together with an array of emotions and feelings that either create something beautiful and a treasure or something akin to a nightmare visage.

Stripped away of everything and all the fail safes that had been set into place to create a fierce wall in which to protect her from further harm had now crashed down into a pile of rubble, leaving Bandit exposed to everything….and all at once.

Yes, the witch was able to somehow stop the bleeding and heal the physical, but what she couldn’t do was heal the heart….the mind. Behind those terrified eyes lay a broken soul. A timid child. Cold…and frightened. Her heart eclipsed for so so long.

Scar growled as he slowly released his grip on Raul’s throat and fell back, only to watch on as Mariela did her best to heal the young girl. He crouched down beside Mariela, his eyes riddled with concern. The alp was the demon of nightmares who had been called on especially by Lydia for his talents, and he whispered to Mariela.

“I can see….what she is seeing.” The more the alp witnessed the more shocked he was. The poor girl had been through so much, and it only made him hate the Warlock with a renewed passion. Scar grit his teeth and snorted through his nostril as he waited to see if the girl would make it through.

Thankfully, Bandit’s spirit was a strong one. A fighter to the very core. Her first words as she started to come around showed that same spunk. “Fuck! Fuck!” This brought something of a relieved collective sigh, but it was what she said following, that made all realize she was not out of the woods.

“I can’t.. breathe!”

Scar threw up his hands and sat back. “I’m not doing it.” One of the things that an alp does to a victim is sit upon their chest so they feel that they can’t breathe. It had to be something else causing it. With dark marks upon his throat, Raul again stepped forward, wanting so much now to help Bandit. The only problem was, someone stood in his way.

“Turn around…and walk away.” The fallen’s wings opened out in the full to protect Bandit who was still on the ground, now shivering. Habib would simply not have Raul hurt her again. “It’s over. Return to Lust where you belong.” The two men faced off, Habib’s face was like stone as he refused to give quarter. He had seen Raul hurt Bandit over and over again. For the first time in centuries, the Warlock lowered his head. He had lost. The worst part was that it was in losing her that he truly realized what his real feelings were. This was the price he would pay for the rest of his days in Hell.

The sounds of Bandit crying out for someone to hold her brought out a pained look from Raul. Oh how much he wanted to hold her, to cherish her now and tell her that he loved her. Sadly, it would not be him. Sighing, he turned away from the scene, his hands clenched into fists and he strode away – vanishing from the Maze of Greed.

With the Warlock gone, Habib returned to Bandit’s side and attempted to lift her up into his powerful arms. He hoped to give her the warmth and comfort she needed. Especially now.

“I’m here for you, Bandit.”

Scar rose to his feet, and gestured with his hand for Mariela’s. It was now a time to breathe, and let Mariela have a chance to speak with her family – her brothers and her friend Tessa. The Alp knew that they had a lot to catch up on.

“Why don’t we get out of this maze and head up to your castle, my Lady?” He smiled brightly at the new Princess of Greed, and waited to see her reaction. After all, he said ‘my’ again.

~RB~

Dessy:  Mariela watched Bandit, occasionally her eyes moving to the leg that she was trying to heal. Scar came beside her, and when he whispered about being able to see everything, she turned her head to him. “What do you see?” she then whispered back, but Bandit popped up a few minutes later. With a wave of her hand, the vines disappeared and Mariela stayed on her knees, her hands holding onto Bandit’s shoulders. “Bandit, it’s okay.” she said, her face growing to concern when she said she couldn’t breathe.

Mariela grabbed and pulled Bandit into a hug, holding her as her eyes stared at Habib and Raul, her eyes shooting daggers into Raul. “Bandit, it’s okay. You’re safe.” she spoke, her voice calm and soothing as she held Bandit in a hug. When Raul turned around and walked away, Mariela’s eyes followed him until he had disappeared. She then pulled away from Bandit so Habid could pick her up. “Take care of her, and whatever you do, don’t let Raul touch her again.” she spoke.

She looked up when Scar held his hand, giving him a smile before she put her hand in his and stood up. When Scar spoke, she gave another smile and nodded her head, before turning to look at Habib. “If you need anything, or she needs help or anything, you can come see me anytime you want. But, please, keep her away from Raul.” she spoke, before turning back to Scar.

She gave him a smile, nodding her head. “Let’s go… my Scar.” she said, fully aware she used the word “my” to describe him, and she just ended up grinning. She turned to motion to Tessa and her brothers, telling them to follow, and after the trio all looked at each other with raised eyebrows at the way they called each other “my”, they shrugged before following behind the two.
