The Black Tower
Razorbackwriter:

The raven had flown in a different direction to that of Zachary. While the Embassy staffer was on the right trail, Raul had one place he wanted to stop at off first, and this was more or less dropping in to pick up an artifact to assist him. His fury at the Fallens was nothing compared to how he felt now. He knew what he heard. There was no mistaking that Bandit had called to him, begging him for help. And help he shall.

Flying across darkening skies, he was travelling back to his ancestral home. Known simply as the Black Tower, it had given rise to many of the Black family. While his mother remained in residence, the wandering Warlock often went beyond it’s borders to seek out new spells, allies and of course….his slaves. Marguerite was not fond of Raul bringing home his women, and often beat him about the head viciously when he ever did something that displeased her. You could say that she wasn’t exactly a maternal figure. If it was possible to get into the Tower and simply grab what he needed before flying out again, he would. Trouble was the gargoyles that sat upon the top most turrets of the tower kept watch of all that entered the castle, and were certain to alert their Mistress of the prodigal sons return.

Darting through an open window, which just so happened to be the study, the raven hovered over a table, before changing back into his bipedal form. He landed heavily upon the oak desk and let out a sigh as it appeared that no one had caught sight of him yet. At least that is what he thought.

https://i2.wp.com/media.giphy.com/media/v8SWqUVaaPlUk/giphy.gif

“Hello Brother.” A smarmy voice said, as a head popped up from one of the velvet couches. It was Raul’s brother Marcus. Raul rolled his eyes. Oh…how he hated his brother. He was the last one that he wanted to see first up. Marcus on the other hand was more than delighted to see Raul. it would mean that Marguerite had someone else to focus her wrath at.

“Mother missed you so.” A mock pout then was followed by a laugh, as he sprang up from behind the couch and waltzed around it to the small mini bar. He started to pour himself a scotch as he waited, almost breathlessly for Raul to say….something.

“I bet she did. Look, I am not here for a social visit. Just to grab something out of my room and….”

“RAUL!”

“Ahahaha….told you she missed you.” Marcus took a swig of his scotch as he watched the scene unfolding before him.

“My baby boy….come to Mummy for a hug.” Marguerite held her arms open. The woman with ample bosom and strikingly young features bore a sickly sweet smile as she waited for her son to do as he was told. Skulking Raul trudged over and he glanced away as he allowed himself to be embraced. Oh, she held him tight for a moment, before smacking him violently about the head.

“YOU…NEVER…CALL….HOME!” ~Whack whack whack~ It was true. He didn’t. Why on earth would he want to keep his bat shit crazy mother on his speed dial. Watching Raul getting beaten, Marcus couldn’t hide his amusement if he tried. Oh how he loved family reunions. When Marguerite finished beating him about the head, she seemed to switch back to the caring mother side, hugging her son again and then patting his chest.

“Mummy loves you, my baby boy.”

Talk about twisted. Raul tried to smile at his mother, but it was clear his head was throbbing from the attack.

“Yes, yes Mother. Uhm…as much as I like this, I need to get something from my room.” He was keen to make a hasty retreat to his room, to find what he needed, but his Mother….well she was having none of that.

“Only when you fill in Mummy of how you have been. I’ve been so worried. You need to take your medicine. I always make sure you take it when you are here. I should get it now!” It was like talking to someone with ADD. Before he could respond, she dashed out of the room at speed. At this point, Marcus doubled over laughing.

“That…was so worth it.” He had tears rolling down his cheeks from laughter, as Raul stood there rubbing the back of his head. “Why won’t she just die?” Raul wasn’t exactly fond of the woman. When Marcus got over the hilarity of the moment, he then sauntered over to his brother and asked.

“So…how’s Lydia?”

One word summed up that situation. “Dead.”

Apparently not.

A sudden laugh came from the next room, and suddenly Madame had popped her head in to visit her dearest warlocks. “Now, now, Raul.” Madame purred, smiling then with brightened eyes. “That woman brought you into the world, don’t be surprised if she takes you out of it!” The words were cheery, against their dark meaning. “Ah, Marcus. Hello, lovely.” The witch would gaze at the other Black brother, sharp and deep brown eyes meeting his pair of blue. Her hair was darkened under her own spell, as she would never want Raul to know her true identity.. And, of course, her facial structure itself was different. She wouldn’t allow Raul or any of these sniveling warlocks to know her own identity – to recognize her truly would be a catastrophe! Though, from the slight shine around her face, she indicated to them that this was merely a mask, and not her true appearance.. For most, she would simply let the illusion go, but she wanted Raul to know it was a fraud..

“So, when’re you going to tell mother dearest about your child?” Madame tilted her head, looking at Raul – though, right on cue, she could hear Marguerite enter the room. “Oh, Marguerite! Raul didn’t tell you? You’re going to have a grandchild! She’s in her hideout, Raul, you might want to head there before your mother kills you..” Madame would smile, leaning back against the bar’s counter, taking a scotch glass and putting it to her lips to drink, an amused look on her face.. Ah. Marcus would get a kick out of this, surely? Madame definitely would..

The Black Tower

How Raul ever thought that he could just sneak in and get an item of Bandit’s without being detected showed that the Warlock was not thinking with his head at all. With his mother now in a flap over him being home and racing to get him some of that disgusting medicine of hers, he didn’t think it could get much worse. But…it could. The sound of laughter came from another room while Marcus was speaking with Raul. Couldn’t have been a member of staff, since they would know the repercussions from such insolence. The owner of the laughter however was a mere guest of the Blacks, but as soon as she spoke, there was no mistaking the tone.

https://i0.wp.com/24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc9snvVWrz1qbrs65o3_250.gif

“That woman brought you into the world, don’t be surprised if she takes you out of it!” Such true words. In a way, the idea of having his mother give him some of that foul concoction could be a one way ticket out of this life. Raul scowled, when the woman swung into the room, much to the delight of Marcus, who was greeted with all the joy of a long lost friend. Marcus was still holding his glass of whiskey, with a smug expression still firmly in place. Marcus simply tipped the glass at her as a way of acknowledging her presence, but the twinkle in his eye spoke volumes.

“So, when’re you going to tell mother dearest about your child?”

This one sentence was enough to cause Raul to start a coughing fit, while Marcus on the other hand was pleasantly surprised. You could say that Raul’s brother found it too good to be true. Raul was never going to hear the end of this.

“Ever heard of a condom, brother?”

“Shut up, you.” Raul shouted at his brother before in a shot of anger he rounded on Madame Green. Disguise or not, he was pissed that this female busy body was entering the Black home to spread gossip. “Cats out of the bag now, brother. Wait till Mother…”

But Madame Green was going to beat Marcus to the punch. Singing out to her that Raul was going to provide her with a grandchild and that she was in her hideout presently. Raul shot daggers at Madame Green, as a ferocious scream of rage came from the other room.

“He what? A grandchild? RAUL TERADOR BLACK! YOU COME HERE AT ONCE AND EXPLAIN THIS OUTRAGE!”
That was it. With his mother set to attack her son over this terrible news, Raul was not about to hang around and be set upon. Madame Green had given him the location of his Bandit and unborn child, so the need to scry one of her personal items was no longer needed. Raul held up his hand as he muttered an incantation causing the crystal glass that Madame Green held to shatter, before he turned back into a raven and flew at speed out of the room. Talk about a hasty exit.

Marguerite charged into the room, right as Raul made his escape, and she snarled furiously as she crossed the floor and shook her fist at his departing form.

“YOU COWARD!…YOU COME BACK HERE AT ONCE!”

Course, there was no way that Raul was going to do any such thing, now that he knew Bandit’s location. But the thing was that Madame Green did. Marcus was cautious at this point in time. He was not exactly his Mother’s favorite, and it was part of the reason that he was able to get away with a hell of a lot more than his baby brother.

https://i0.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1wjyacohv1rn2b2d.gif

“Oh Mother….guess he is not staying for dinner.” Marcus winked at Madame Green before continuing. “Shall I follow him and find this grand child for you?” The older warlock started to pour Madame Green another drink since the last one would be all over the counter top.

Marguerite turned on Madame Green with her hands on her hips. She was the one that brought the news and now the elder Witch wanted answers.

“What do you know of my Son and the woman that is bearing my grandchild?”

‘Things are going from bad to worse then.’

Zachary’s head began to spin as he listened to the words of the male fallen, knowing that things were serious if Raul had been defeated only to bounce back this fast. Zachary was trying to figure out how Raul might have figured out in the first place, after all at this point only the Embassy should know aside from Raul himself. Which meant…… Madame Green!

“Tch… figured she’d be the one to start shit right off the damn bat!”

Zachary let out a deep growl, the growl of a demon, as his hand lashed out sideways, hitting the wall with a thud. Sure, the was angry, but this was no time to get worked up. With a deep breath, he reigned in that anger and focused back onto the two fallen. As a Nephalem, he was actually human despite being the offspring of an Angel and Demon. But no one knew that… yet; they were going to get a crash course soon if Raul got here any time soon. Zachary followed the male into the room, nodding at his words while closing his eyes and gripping his sword with both hands.

With a firm pull, Zachary freed the blade from its sheath, while at the same time unleashing both his Holy and Hell-fire at the same time, mixing the two together. Both flames erupted on his body and the blade, the tip of his tail burning while twin horns of blue flame formed on his forehead. The flames were both of the same mystical blue, unnaturally calming and disturbing at the same time thanks to the mixture of the two opposing Flames. The two fallen would have recognized the two flames for what they were entirely, Hell and Heaven mixed into one. Was that enough to give him away? Who knew.

“If we’re needing to prepare, then I’ll be sure to be ready for him. Valmont and Nicholas may be well on their way, but who knows if they’ll get here in time. Might I ask for your assistance sir?”

Zachary said as he began to walk outside, still slowly drawing the sword from its sheath. Once he had made it outside, he finished drawing the weapon and whipped it down, causing a small wall of flames to blaze between him and the home of the two fallen. It wouldn’t burn the fallen or Bandit, but if Raul got there and tried to get in… well he’d be in for a surprise considering that those flames were made to keep Raul out, and Bandit in. They didn’t burn, they simply repulsed. At least, for that intended purpose they did.

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

“What’s in me?” The blonde looked at the woman, a terrible panic coursing through her body.. “Am I going to die?!” The thief’s voice rose in pitch with those words, breathing hard… Oh, but it was so much worse. A terrible cry came from Bandit’s lips, the child within Bandit feeling her distress as the aura of power from her abdomen only grew. “I’m.. Oh, god!” The blonde buried her face into the pillow that she held against her, the thoughts of panic racing through her head. How could this have happened? “With his.. Oh, oh.. I am already dead..” Bandit did not have it in her to kill the innocent child developing in her womb.. but the terrible truth was that she had Raul’s child. No matter how she tried to run now, the child would always tie her to him. Escape was not an option at this point.

 https://i2.wp.com/media.giphy.com/media/WWg1Ydx5K4Ty8/giphy.gif

Nevermind, what would her son/daughter be like? What type of child could spawn from Raul? What type of child could spawn from her? A mix of that could not be good, surely.. Bandit looked up at the ceiling, lifting her head and breathing out slowly. So much stress… Her body couldn’t keep taking this. Birth was so far away, it felt, but would this child be different because of its race and all attached? Would pregnancy be quicker? How would it grow? How could she care for a child with powers when she had none… assuming the child did develop powers.. How weak would it be? How strong? So many questions.. Bandit wiped her tears off of her face, attempting to appear somewhat composed as she slowly fell apart within, power from the child steadily growing with each wave of distress its mother felt..

Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

Poor Bandit. She was now terrified beyond belief. Wondering what was inside her, when there was that moment that the unborn child made itself known. “Am I going to die?!” The girl was beside herself. Amala rushed to her and tried to pull her into an embrace. “No no…no you are not going to die, Bandit. We would never let that happen.” Amala’s words were meant to be reassuring, but there was no mistaking the panic in her eyes. The realization of the fact that Bandit was pregnant, sent the girl into a melt down. Amala released her as the girl sank onto the bed and buried her face into the pillow nearest her. Amala clasped her hands together, deeply troubled and trying to think of something that she could say, that could stop the girl losing it completely. All she cold do was nod, when Bandit started to blurt that the baby was Raul’s. No matter where she went, she would forever be tied to that man, so long as the child within her continued to live.

What choices did she have now? The child was the spawn of Raul the Black. That alone would send shivers through the strongest person, not to mention those with magic that could see and feel the power. Amala’s eyes cast down at Bandit’s stomach. A horrid thought going through her mind. There was one way to stop the madness and that was to cut the child out and destroy it. Would Amala even do such a thing? To put her own life ahead of that of this unborn and innocent child? She could not help but think that if this child was born, it could destroy them all, if it were to be taken by it’s father.

No doubt, the look on Amala’s face would be a giveaway for what she was thinking. Her heart was pounding hard as she weighed up the options. Habib was outside now with Zachary, who had already unsheathed his weapons, in preparation for what would be a great battle. Would the Ambassador and Nicholas arrive in time to help fend off the Warlock, who would now be enraged beyond belief, that not only was Bandit taken from him, but his future son or daughter? He knew….and there would be no stopping him now.

Heavy paws pounded into the earth, ragged breathing and saliva dripping from its maw, the Black wolf was now racing up the mountain. In it’s heart it could feel the connection, the bond growing and he knew it was definitely that of his child. Bandit was there…at the very top and that Fallen was going to regret taking her from him. Howling, he raced on tearing through the forest and then up the last part of the mountain path. Long shaggy black hair was flowing behind him as the eyes of evil were now glowering with an intensity that was filled with fury and hate. He could see himself, tearing out the jugular of Habib and drinking his blood like wine when he reached the top. At last the last rise and the wolf leaped up and over a large rock to land on top. Looking down now on Zach and Habib. The loud growl with menacing white fangs dripping were the first indications that Bandit had been found. The wolf was about three times the size of a normal one, and it pawed at the rock with large grey claws.

https://i2.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdiajovrAq1qf7nowo1_500.gif

Out of the forest the two on horseback, Valmont and Nicholas came charging on their horses. The heavy sound of horse hooves meant the cavalry had arrived. They were coming now up the last track, right in behind Raul the Black.

Habib’s wings unfurled in full as he stood his ground in front of the entrance to the temple.

“She’s not yours, Raul. Leave this place.”

The wolf jumped down off the rock and then spun and turned back into the true form of the Warlock. A terrible look on his face as he stared down Habib, then saw Zachary.

“I AM NOT LEAVING WITHOUT MY WOMAN AND CHILD!” He threw up his right hand and a massive blast of energy spiraled out and hit Habib squarely in the chest, sending him back hurtling towards the ground. The fallen’s wings fell back as her cartwheeled back and hit one of the stone columns of the temple. There was a horrid cracking sound, like that of bone, as Habib lay motionless.

Pulling up his horse, Valmont dismounted and waited for Nicholas to join him. They could see the Warlock had already started the battle, taking out the Fallen with relative ease. It was clear that with the knowledge that Bandit carried his child, he was not simply going to walk away.

With Zachary guarding the entrance to the temple, and Valmont with Nicholas in behind the Warlock, they had him surrounded. Who would make the next move?

It was silent as the wind blew around the two galloping around, though hearing the patters in the ground from a distance, he could tell Raul had already made it. That was the thing with Nicholas, his hearing was 100% on point with vibrations on the ground so, he was usually never wrong. Once they had entered the area, right behind Raul he’d stayed on his horse. Hearing a rather loud crack and a thump to the ground, Nicholas shivered some. This man could take down one in such a simple move, he’d sure be a tough opponent. Seeing Valmont get down, he’d follow in pursuit and dismount, standing next to him.

” Right on time, huh.” The man said to Valmont, trying to be a bit humorous but, this wasn’t the time and he knew it.

Something changed a bit about Nicholas, if you observed him closely. His skin was now molding layers upon layers, thickening and getting much harder. His Dermal armor coming into play, he was able to thicken his skin to withstand attacks, pain or harm but, it wasn’t invincible. Some things tended to get through or it would wear out after a while and fall off. Once it was done, he’d take position next to Valmont. He wouldn’t risk getting hit and ending up like the other person, the armor would help in the long run. Granted, his other was poison and he had to be careful where he released that, for not wanting to harm the others. His eyes scanned to see Zachary and then they went back towards Raul, him waiting on any order.

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

‘Boy do they have good timing… as if.’

https://i0.wp.com/data2.whicdn.com/images/22688908/large.png

Zachary’s thoughts were directed at Valmont, who arrived only moments after Raul. Greaaaaaaat timing guys. Well done indeed. Well, that was nothing compared to Zachary at this point. Once the male fallen was sent flying Zachary froze, his eyes becoming hidden from sight by his long black hair. Valmont and Nicholas were about to be in for a big surprise. Valmont knew, he knew very well just how much power that Zachary held inside of him. But the problem was… he’d never seen it before, before now anyway. Zachary’s clothing and hair, everything began rustling softly as though some wind was swirling wildly around him. Oh boy… he was pissed. Zachary’s mouth moved, after what seemed to be ages, saying two simple words moments before his body erupted in that tower of white flames and light.

“Seraphin… Praestantia!”

The blue flames now turned white, and the light, that swirled around Zachary’s body was blindingly bright. Seraphin Praestantia, Seraph Superiority. Zachary took his Holy Flames and his Light and infused his body with it, calling upon the power of his mother in full to take on the form of an Archangel temporarily, calling on the full power of such a creature that could match even a Prince of Hell. Raul will have realized a bit too late his mistake just before Zachary’s new form was revealed.

https://i2.wp.com/i.gyazo.com/61d5079e41e4c77bfd01807e0fc6f77a.png

It seemed that Zachary was simply standing there with his face hidden, but to Valmont and Nicholas behind Raul, there was a change. Zachary’s new angelic form had appeared there behind Raul, his left hand already reaching to grasp the Warlock’s shoulder despite the fact that there was an afterimage in front of the male. Should Zachary have succeeded in grasping that Warlock’s shoulder, without a sound her would have thrown the male into the air, only to reappear next to him and slam a foot into his stomach, knocking the breath from him as he sent the male blasting back into the ground with the perfect amount of force that would have made the earth erupt into shards of shrapnel.

Zachary wasn’t toying around anymore. Raul had a choice, stand down and resolve things peacefully, or risk being obliterated by Zachary’s power as a Nephalem.

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

Bandit’s eyes widened in fear at the woman’s gaze upon her – something about it gave her an eerie feel. A feeling that she was being threatened, more so than Raul ever had.. Somehow, with Raul, she did not feel true danger – not entirely. But now, that was a different story.. Now, she felt that this woman would go through with whatever thoughts possibly plagued her, where before Raul didn’t. At least, with Raul, Bandit knew she would not die. Here, however…A cry came from her lips as Habib was knocked back, then lay still on the ground. Oh, god! Was he dead? The stillness only seemed to confirm any suspicions she had, making this day as a whole all the more worse. But then Zachary attacked Raul in turn, knocking him down as the demon transformed before her eyes – surely Raul could not fight back?

 https://i2.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0e4j6M1Ql1r7spu1.gif

But something else was going on within the blonde thief. Her child was retaliating, in its first true act of power, despite being unborn and still relatively small within her. A dark purple color glowed in Bandit’s lower abdomen, a scream of panic coming from her lips – “What is happening to me?! Someone! Help!” Her skin was beginning to turn transparent, the wall behind her becoming visible as she disappeared before everyone’s eyes… Had they been looking. “Raul!” Yes. She called for the name of the one man who had put her in this position, the one who brought her so much pain.. But also, the man she realized loved..

“Please!” Her voice itself had begun to fade as she did with it.. And then she was gone, the pillow falling with nothing to hold it up, the thief disappeared from sight but not memory. All that remained of where Bandit once sat was a few sparks of purple, where the magic had left a trace. These sparks blinked and shimmered, showing how powerful the move had been, how the magic of the child was essentially oozing out.. Where could the child have possibly brought her? And.. she could not survive, not in her current state. Finding her was of the essence.. or she would be dead in days. She lacked blood and food, lacked sleep… Bandit was a mere human, and the nights could get quite cold without shelter.. Not to mention her legs were barely functioning, still getting used to being unparalyzed.. A whole universe to search in days.. Would they find Bandit, or her corpse?

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

If only the menfolk could see what was happening inside the temple. The female fallen Amala had almost no expression, as she started for the knife that was on the meal tray. Meant for the cutting up of bread and certainly not for anything that was meant to harm Bandit. She wrapped her fingers around the handle and then turned slowly towards the frightened young mother to be. “You are a danger to us all.” Amala whispered, as the knife blade gleamed in her hand. She could not see anyway that Raul would stop if the child was alive. One life…for millions. Amala was starting to see it as a sacrifice for the greater good, even though she had promised not to harm Bandit.

“I’m so sorry…” she whispered, as though this was for her own good. Turns out though the baby had other plans. But just when Amala was about to raise her hand with the knife to plunge into Bandit’s stomach, there was a terrible blast of green light from outside the temple, and the sound of Habib screaming. At that instant, Amala dropped the knife and hurried outside, only to see her beloved laying on the ground – out to the count.

“HABIB!” She screamed, running to his side and bringing his blooded head up to her lap, as she rocked back and forth, crying and wailing.

With Bandit now alone inside, would anyone see what was happening next?

Much to Raul’s shock, Zachary had taken the gloves off. The unwarranted attack on Habib mean that he had now lost all patience, and one way or another he was going to calm the Warlock if it was the last thing he did. Winds swirled up and around Zachary’s clothing and hair, as he charged up his powers for what would be a fantastic metamorphosis. Valmont saw and recognized the change immediately. Without thinking, he put his arm protectively around Nicholas, as though to shield him. Things had clearly changed between the Ambassador and his assistant. Raul was looking to the entrance of the Temple and screaming out to Bandit, for he could hear her cries coming from within the temple.

“I’m coming!” That is what he meant, but Zachary was not about to let him.

“Seraphin… Praestantia!”

It was too late, Raul turned back to see a tower of white flames and light. Raul put his hand up to block his eyes from the blinding sight, but the power was only to grow stronger as Zachary changed his form. Raul yelled at him. “BANDIT NEEDS ME!!” He could feel the sense of danger coming from within the temple. Was it his unborn son? “You fool, let me save her!” He begged, only to find that an angelic version of Zachary was in behind him, and now grasping his shoulder forcibly. Zachary then hurled the Warlock up high off his feet, only to reappear next to him and slam a foot into his stomach. Raul was completely winded, his face turning a deep shade of red, before he was knocked officially into the dirt. A cloud of dust rising up from where he finally came to a screeching halt, his face having been the brake.

A hand clawed the earth, as Raul continued to scream Bandit’s name. Little did he know….she was gone.

So much had happened in a small period of time, you could say it ended in disaster honestly. One person dead or almost at least, another gone. It had truly been a sight to see Zachary in his form, something he was glad to witness. He recalled on the conversation where they both shared the secrets. It was nice to have another person around, he would need to catch up with hi after this and tell him of what happened. A lot had happened, the light was blinding and Nicholas had lifted his arm a bit to block it. Shortly after he felt an arm around him, it was Val’s and that was surprising to him. You didn’t think he’d publicly do it but, he did and he enjoyed it.

Something in the place didn’t seem right, it seemed almost creepy. Being as Nicholas had excellent super hearing cause of his serpent abilities he heard the conversation inside. It was horrid that the person was trying to kill her but, something else happened. Hearing the screams from Bandit he could hear vibrations inside, something different. Though one thing for sure was that he now sense that the girl completely vanished, whether anyone else noticed to on them.

Zachary was still pissed, but the fact that Raul had gone down so easily wasn’t what he’d expected. Zachary looked down at the male from where he stood, reigning in his power for a few minutes as he dragged it right back into him. Zachary didn’t see a point in staying in his Archangel form for very long if Raul was going down this fast without warning. But then it registered, the surge of energy caused his head to snap over to the temple just before Bandit’s energy signature entirely disappeared with the exception of a few sparks.

Zachary transformed back into his normal form, granting him access once more to his powers over darkness as he scowled and turned to sprint off towards the temple once more, his entire body slowly melting down as his voice could be heard calling back to Valmont with a loudly urgent tone.
”Valmont, Nicholas; you two handle the situation here! I’m going after Bandit before I lose her trail entirely!”

And with that… Zachary melted into darkness and disappeared, his flames disappearing with him. Leaving the screaming Raul and Valmont and Nicholas behind. Headed straight for Bandit in order to keep up.

Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

Amala was cradling Habib’s head. He had received a nasty gash to the back of his skull, and the blood was seeping through onto Amala’s dress. Her tears ran down her cheeks, as she was so worried about her love, she had forgotten about Bandit momentarily. Of course, what she didn’t realize was that the baby had sensed it’s mother’s danger and taken matters into its own hands. The blast of light that came from the temple that had followed the girl’s screams for Raul left Amala, and the two from the Embassy – Valmont and Nicholas stunned. The only one who had a handle on the situation was Zachary, who had changed back to his normal form, and ordered that Valmont and Nicholas control the situation at the summit, while he went off after Bandit’s trail.

At the very moment that Zachary disappeared from view, with his flamed vanishing with him, Raul took the chance to go into the temple himself, shooting Habib and Amala the most foul look imaginable. Inside the temple, the Warlock saw for himself the sparks of purple, that were the only trace left of his girl and child. With a nervous hand, he reached out and could feel the residue of the unborn’s magical aura. He knew that Bandit herself had no powers, so this was proof..proof that Bandit was indeed carrying his child. The look on his face now was one of grim resolve. He had to find her. He had to be reunited with her. There was no mistaking that she had called out to him. Raul heard her scream his name. Even after all he had done to her, there was no mistaking the bond that they had. It wasn’t till now, that he realized the errors of his ways, and that it was costing him the woman he loved.

Not to mention, that this unborn baby was also in danger. In danger from the likes of Madame Green and possibly others.

https://i0.wp.com/31.media.tumblr.com/a0283ccc4b088a6f9d581980e3ecb311/tumblr_mvd4pnrol21qa56ewo6_250.gif

Walking slowly out of the Temple, he moved silently passed Amala, who was still holding her beloved Habib. The fallen spat at the ground where Raul stood, a cruel look on her face.

“You ….and that child should be damned!” Words were sharper than knives. Raul raised his hand, as a fireball appeared, glowering fiercely as he roared at her. “Don’t try to fool me, Amala. I know you. Had you had your way, you would have ripped her belly open and taken my child out to kill it!”

Amala laughed sadistically. “I almost did.” This stark admission showed the truth behind her pretty smile. Without warning, Raul sent the fireball of rage hurtling at the pair, incinerating them both instantly. Their horrid screams faded to nothing, as Valmont stood in shock with Nicholas. The viciousness of the attack had shocked the Ambassador to the core.

“You murderous bastard.” Valmont yelled, making a move to stand protectively in front of Nicholas. There was no way he was going to let the Warlock leave the mountain summit now. Raul on the other hand had ideas of his own, changing forms into that of a black raven and taking off into the clouds above.

“Son of a….” The Ambassador cursed, feeling defeated as the Warlock got away so easily. He was not one that would be easily caught, that was for sure. Valmont felt terrible, as he walked over to the burning corpses of Habib and Amala. Their lives sacrificed so needlessly. Now it was a race to find Bandit and her unborn child.

Turning back to Nicholas, you could see the pain in his eyes. The guilt. “I should have stopped him” But how could he, being where they were standing. Walking back to Nicholas, he pulled the young man into his arms. Nicholas would be able to feel the fast beating of his heart. How does one follow a raven? With Zachary already on the trail of Bandit, Valmont hoped that he reached her….before Raul did.

“Come on…we better get back to the Embassy.” There was no sense of them touring the country side, when they didn’t know the first place to even start looking.

You could say everything happened rather quickly, Zachary was already gone on Bandits trail. He could tell he’d get there quicker then Raul. Hearing the conversation between Raul and Amala, he pondered if that as the right decision. Should the child of really been killed? There was always a way to change things, make them better. He had noticed with past events and how the person that is showing effection is changing. Being pulled into Valmont’s arms wasn’t as shocking as the first time, he enjoyed it now. Listening to his heartbeat he felt bad that he was like this, maybe he could help him later at the Embassy, though he didn’t know.

” There was nothing you could do at the moment to stop him.” Nicholas said as he started walking away.

Nicholas looked over at the bodies and walked into the temple, leaving Val for the moment. What was he looking for? Something for cover, reaching the bedroom he had saw the resadue of what happened. Interesting to see what had happened, the child must of had something to do with it. Picking up the sheet he’d walk back outside and placed it over the burnt bodies. At least they could have some cover for he didn’t want to dig graves. Once done Nicholas turned and went to catch up to Valmont quickly, following behind.

Flying.. What a strange sensation, especially for one who did not fly to begin with. Flap, flap. The beating of wings overhead made her blink and squint – until she simply closed her eyes completely. She was floating, airless.. The cold beat at her skin and made her hair whip around her, the only anchor was Habib’s warmth around her slowly freezing body.. All this time, through her exhaustion, she was still attempting to make sense of Habib’s words. Another inside her? What did such words even mean? With a slight sigh, almost inaudible, she would let herself fall limp in his arms once more, cuddling into him like a small child. Did Raul know? Was this his plan? Did he want her to be all to him, through a child? Would the child be as dark as his/her father? Was she going to have a boy or a girl..? And what on earth would she name it..?

Krakus Mountain – Home of the FallenPowerful wings continued to soar high above all the realms of Hell, spiriting away the sickly Bandit from those that wish to do her harm – in particular, Raul. Finally at the top of the mountain there was a single light, that waved back and forth as though it were some type of signal or torch. Diving down, Habib swooped until he came close to the edge of a ledge like crevice. Carefully, he beat his wings slower and finally touched down to land, right before a much smaller creature. A young girl. A very beautiful young girl. Her hair was pure ebony, her lips full and with a fresh face she bore a smile to see Habib return
.https://i2.wp.com/mobi-wall.brothersoft.com/files/240400/f/12831935484642.jpg“My love…you brought someone back?” The girl asked, setting down the lantern and approaching to see the sickly figure in his arms. Habib folded his dark wings back behind him as he allowed the girl forward. “Tis Bandit.”

The girl looked shocked, her face riddled with confusion as she then cast her eyes down at Bandit. “The….Bandit?” It was almost to incredulous for her to believe. In another life….she knew her. “But I thought she….” Amala started, but then she had to start walking with Habib as he made his way towards the temple. “No…but she nearly did.” Habib spoke of how she almost died right there in the maze. “The witch healed her.” Another surprise for Amala. “Which witch? And what of Raul?” Clearly, Amala knew of the Warlock all too well. She quickly cast her eyes to the skies, thinking that he may have followed them. Habib was pretty certain he hadn’t.

“Probably in some inn….drinking his life away now. He lost, Amala. End of.” Yes, Habib may have said this, but knowing what he knew with Bandit being pregnant, that may well change. He gave Amala a reassuring look, before walking Bandit into the temple. Amala ran back to get her lantern, and then with her bare feet padding the stone floor of the outer landing, she followed Habib inside.

“I’ll make her some broth. She looks so hungry.”

With Amala going to the kitchen, Habib walked the tired girl into one of the chambers for her to sleep on a soft bed.

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen

Oh, how much they didn’t know.. Bandit’s eyes struggled to remain open, the image of Amala blurred and difficult to make out.. Voices were muffled, like she was underneath water.. Food was not an option currently, as much as she yearned for it.. No, for now, rest was what she needed.. What would sustain her. Sleep. Habib brought the small and petite woman to a chamber, laying her on the bed.. Its warmth immediately swallowed her, causing a sigh of relief. Ah, what it felt like to sleep on a comfortable bed for once.. It was blissful.. The blankets encased her, her fingers gripping at the blankets.. Ever so slowly, weak, she would pull them over her head, basking in the warmth of it all…

How little did she know about Raul’s conquest, about Amala and who she was, about it all.. Bandit only knew a fraction of hell, she didn’t know about the little being inside of her – in fact, the thought of a child had been erased from her mind.. For now, survival kicked in – she must have been hallucinating about his previous words.. The thought of being pregnant was absurd, clearly.. She wasn’t pregnant, that was impossible, she hadn’t had sex recently.. Or hadn’t she? It mattered no longer, her eyes closing.. Bandit was consumed into the thick darkness, dreaming a dreamless dream as reality became nothing more than a speck.

https://31.media.tumblr.com/5ef5e5037867f10d90269567d68b1e1a/tumblr_inline_nk32l2zyXc1sf3uv7.jpgWith Bandit now curled up beneath the blanket, Habib backed up and watched her for a moment till she completely settled. The Fallen now had a grim expression. He knew what he heard. Two heartbeats. Bringing up his hand he then racked his fingers back through his hair as the concern of what he knew was starting to get to him. If Raul were to find this out, there would be nothing to stop the Warlock from trying to find her. The trick, was to keep this under wraps – or find a place to take her that was well and truly out of Raul’s territories. But where? A child born from someone like Raul would naturally have magical powers, not to mention the fiery spirit of its mother. Habib did not have the clairvoyance to see into the future, he didn’t need to to know that the child whilst in the mother’s womb was going be in danger. The fair haired Bandit looked so peaceful in her slumber now. The horrors of the past few days must have been so taxing on her, that this need to sleep was all encompassing. Giving her their bed was the least that Habib could do.As he stood there, Amala crept in quietly with a tray that had on it a covered bowl of broth and sour dough bread. She stood quietly in the background, as though waiting for a word or maybe something to tell her what to do with it.

“Should we let her sleep?”

“Yes…put the tray down on the nearby stand and if need be we heat it up again later.”

Amala nodded silently, and padded over to the side board, where she placed down the tray with a light clatter of the cutlery against the plate. It was a small noise, but Amala still turned her head to see if it caused Bandit to stir. Thankfully, it did not. Amala pursed her lips together and made her way to Habib’s side. She knew not the reason that he had taken off without warning the many hours before, but now it was starting to hit her as to why.

“Why did you bring her here?” Amala asked, threading her arm through his as she went to walk him out of the room where they could talk freely. Habib went willingly, only to shut the door on the way out. When they were a good few paces away he stopped.

“It was not safe to take her anywhere else. Not in her condition.”

“Condition?” Perking a brow, Amala was now truly intrigued. “What…?”

“She is with child.” There….he admitted it. Amala fell back, her jaw dropping open in shock. “Pregnant? Who is the father?” It was only natural that the female fallen wanted to know. Her eyes searching her love’s and the look he gave her almost made her heart stop beating. “No….not him…anyone but him.” Amala wrapped her arms around herself and she looked so distraught. He had not been in their lives for centuries or so it seemed. He was able to manipulate many things thanks to that mirror of his. Habib could feel his love’s distress and he wrapped his arms around her tightly. His chin resting on the top of her head. “I had to bring her here. It’s safe…from him.”

https://p.gr-assets.com/540x540/fit/hostedimages/1380415489/820131.gif

Amala stared up at Habib with large eyes.

“Does she even know?’

“No…she doesn’t. I only felt it when I carried her away from the Maze of Greed. After the witch healed her. That is when I heard the two heart beats. The pregnancy must be in it’s infancy.” This would mean up to eight months of trying to protect her from Raul’s clutches. Habib continued to stroke his love’s hair, as he tried to think of what they could do to protect them both.

A groan from the blonde figure on the bed near them.  Bandit herself was lost in the theoretics of dreams, but were they really theoretics?  Are yes, the thief did have a few tricks up her sleeve yet, even if she didn’t even know it.  Amazing how escaping the river of hell could give someone powers…but perhaps that was what having such a strong soul to defy fate gave you.  An “extra”, if you would

“What is it?” Bandit gazed at the sky above her, pointing at a reddish tinged star. There was a sound of a male next to her, a sort of “hmm,” pausing only as she looked at him. Him. Riley. “I’m pretty sure it’s a red dwarf. I’ve no idea how we can even see it, those things are really faded. Maybe it’s close, yeah?

“By close, do you mean light-years away?”

Yes. But close in relevance, you fucking smartass.” Bandit would grin at his response, making a noise of protest at his slight smack against her arm.

“What a bright light, though.. Wow..” Bandit would squint then, the light of it growing, beginning to hurt her eyes.. “Hey.. what the..?! Riley..?!” The blonde glanced over at the redhaired male, only to find that it was instead Raul’s face, a scream coming from her lips — the red had morphed into a streak, as though someone was attacking with red magicks, wings covering the sky behind the red streak – dark wings, of a fallen angel..!

Sudden, searing pain caused her to squeeze her eyes shut, a burning in her abdomen that spread to her navel and then lower – suddenly, a child crying, her hands wet over her chest.. The blonde opened her eyes, gazing at the screaming infant while she herself screamed..

The child suddenly went silent while Bandit screamed on, its eyes opening.. One was violet, the other amber, a sort of deep and mature look in its gaze, as if it understood.. And somehow she knew this was her child, sound ceasing from her lips as she would turn to face Raul next to her, his eyes suddenly determined.

He reached out for her child, taking it from her; in that instance, she wanted to bite him, to claw back for the child, but a feeling stopped her. Something told her this was not the thing to do. The warlock wrapped an arm under her abdomen then, pulling her against him and cradling the baby boy against his chest and looking down at it, then up to her.. “You did so well, my love..

“Oh, Raul..”
Bandit, I love you.. I love our son.. Our Grimm..

Why was his voice so far away sounding..?

. . .

Bandit herself would do no more than roll over in her slumber, raising both arms to cover her head from view, unknowing that she had just witnessed the future..

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen
Krakus Mountain – Home of the FallenStanding outside Bandit’s room, Amala and Habib were still in each other’s arms. Habib trying to comfort his beloved from the threat of the return of Raul into their lives. Bringing Bandit here, was at a cost to their own safety. While both had their own powers in this realm, the memory of what Raul had done to them in the past still haunted them. Amala could not get over the fact that Raul had actually impregnated Bandit. All that she knew was that Raul was a sadist, who enjoyed nothing more than torturing women under his influence. He must have really messed up this time, to get one pregnant. Or did he do it on purpose? You had to wonder. Thinking on it, if he wanted a way to bind the woman to him truly was to make her the future mother of his spawn. Would this child take on the very powers of his father? Surely if that were the case, then the child would be a great warlock in its own right. This was truly a dangerous time for Bandit, and though Habib kept reassuring her that Raul was off drinking away his troubles, she had this sneaking suspicion that somehow he was going to find out.
https://i2.wp.com/iamnumberfourfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Underworld1.jpgReleasing Amala from his embrace, Habib cupped her cheeks and stared into those worried and sad eyes.“I promised you that he would never harm us again. I meant that.”

Habib did make such a promise, but in bringing Bandit here, he may have unknowingly put them into the line of fire.

“I hope your right….for all our sakes.”

Far below, on the winding dirt track that led up the mountain, there was a sleek black and silver wolf, that was running through the forest. It’s paws slamming into the earth and its labored breaths showed that it was determined to find it’s prey. Leaping over a fallen log, it’s bold strides and capability were beyond that of an ordinary wolf. The fact was, it was a warlock….in wolf’s clothing….

Leaping onto a large rock crevice, it howled long and loud. The moon was the only one to hear, but it was a warning.

Raul was coming.

Perks of being a Nephalem and having control over Darkness came to a point in which he had plenty of use for it, including extremely fast travel. Umbraportation, or teleportation with darkness, was near-instantaneous travel because it let him move at the speed of shadows, which was essentially the speed of light itself. Done by actually melting away into shadow, becoming a being of shadow itself. It was invaluable.Once Zachary had fully formed, his blue eyes almost immediately picked up on the energy signature of both Raul and Bandit, but the problem was they were in two different places. Wait, that wasn’t a problem. Zachary used his ability to both perceive and see the energy to lock onto Bandit, she was the more important, only to melt into shadow once more for a split second, reforming only feet away from the two fallen.Zachary went wide-eyed for a moment, backing up several steps before he shook his head and regained his composure. It was all that he could do. Hopefully Valmont and Nicholas would get there soon, before Raul, but if not then Zachary was going to have to handle this. Which is why he spoke in a diplomatic, and non-threatening tone to help avoid causing trouble.“Sorry for barging in like this, but I think you’ll be alarmed to know that you’ve a very dangerous visitor coming this way, and he won’t be long at all. And, to inform you, I’m sure you’ll know exactly who he is as he is most likely after the woman in that room…. or rather what lies within her. I am Zachary Knight, Chief Adviser of the Ambassador Vicomte de Valmont. I’m not here to cause trouble, but rather to prevent it.”

Bandit’s eyes struggled to open, disturbed at the sounds she had heard, the movements – until, of course, her brain recognized that of a visitor… At this her eyes easily snapped open, a gasp coming from her lips as she would sit up in surprise, pulling her pillow over her body in a somewhat defensive move. She didn’t hear a single word Zachary had said, but from Habib’s look and the woman’s next to him… Something was wrong. Bandit herself looked incredibly gaunt and frail – just waking up hadn’t done her much good, and blood was still dried to her skin.. Nevermind that she’d slept for.. what? An hour? She didn’t know. It could have been minutes. It’d been days since her last official rest – her death not quite counting. It was her child that kept her alive and breathing at an even pace at this point, even if she did not know it.Her child – that was growing in her and could be no more than a month old – was the one keeping her alive. If one could see auras of power, Bandit herself was glowing from her own powers that the child had given her, but her light was most concentrated in her lower abdomen – her womb. “What.. What’s going on…?” She found herself backing towards the edge of the bed, just to have her back against something so no one could come up behind her.. A natural instinct of a survivor.. Though, she would be dead, if not the child within her. Mariela’s magic had only helped the fetus grow stronger than it should have been, along with Bandit’s will and Raul’s powers. So much power in something so small, that it had leaked into its mother around it..

Re: [RP]Krakus Mountain – Home of the Fallen
Krakus Mountain – Home of the FallenThe last thing that Amala and Habib were expecting was a visitor. Both went immediately on the defence as the man approached was an unknown to them. Habib’s wings opened out to the full, his face showed a new anger that had not been seen before. As for Amala, she raced inside and stood guard before the sleeping Bandit. The man approached Habib, and then started off with a greeting that was mixed with a warning.“Sorry for barging in like this, but I think you’ll be alarmed to know that you’ve a very dangerous visitor coming this way, and he won’t be long at all.”Amala whispered Raul’s name in shock. Her fears from earlier were now fully justified. This was not what Habib wanted to hear however, and he growled under his breath. It seemed that more knew about Bandit’s condition, than he had suspected.“When he left the maze, he was defeated. Someone had to have gotten to him afterwards, but who?’ It was like Habib was talking to himself. He was staring at the ground, shaking his head in utter disbelief.

“I’m sure you’ll know exactly who he is as he is most likely after the woman in that room…. or rather what lies within her.Habib started to nod, as the blood seemed to drain away from his face. Inside the room where Bandit lay, Amala was now wringing her hands and pacing back and forth. She knew the danger of Raul even when he didn’t have a reason to be incensed. The fact that they were harboring Bandit – the mother of his unborn would make him release such powerful magic that it might be impossible to stop.

Bandit roused and was now using the edge of the bed for her support, so no one could come at her from behind. “What.. What’s going on…?” Amala went straight to Bandit’s side, and had a look that was one of panic. “You don’t know what is inside of you, do you?’ Nothing had been said to her directly, as they had not yet been given the chance. Her head whipped around when Zachary introduced himself as Zachary Knight, Chief Adviser of the Ambassador Vicomte de Valmont. He said he was there on a mission to protect, not to harm the expectant mother. If the Embassy knew, then those higher up in Hell knew. Oh this was bad. Habib could not hide it from Bandit any longer. Bringing Zachary in to see her, he had to tell her the truth.

Raul’s Heartbreak – The Rusty Nail : PD.

Having lost the battle in the Maze of Greed, the Warlock Raul has gone to the Rusty Nail Inn to drown his sorrows.  Fate however has a Dark Mistress.

Defeated. The great Warlock Raul had to walk away from Bandit and the others after he had been blocked at every turn. The memories of seeing Bandit near death and crying out to be held tore at his heart strings. A heart once so black that you would think that it was filled with tar. That girl though. After everything he had done to her in the past. She was still a fighter. Proud…resilient. It was what he found so fascinating about her for so long and right up to what could have been the end of her life she fought. Tooth and nail. Could he really blame Habib or the witch for their warnings? Scar needed a good kick in the head though. Oh yes, Raul was sure of that. He never thought of himself as a coward, no. But the Warlock knew when the cards had been dealt against him. All his plans had turned to dust and been blown away at the death of Lydia. His foul schemes and wicked trysts had all come back now to haunt him. Raul didn’t even get to see the end of Lydia. No doubt she was now trapped in purgatory….forever. A place where she may never again cause harm to another soul.

It had been a long walk from the maze and then onto the road that led to the Rusty nail. A watering hole and something of a gambling den. It was frequented by travelers, merchants and the lower end of society. A meeting place…a bar to drown your sorrows, and Raul had a lot of those.

Was revenge in his mind? Not really. He was too busy worrying about Bandit. So stupid really, since he was the one that caused her to be in this mess. There would come a day when their paths crossed again. There was no mistaking that. The past tends to catch up with you at some point, and when she was well enough the girl may well come after him to end him once and for all. She had enough allies if that was the case.

Stepping inside the rustic building, he was met by the noise of musicians, drunken laughter and whooping, along with the chatter of many a man and woman. Spirits were high, but for what reason remained unclear. The warlock moved to a back booth and gestured for the bar wench to come serve him a bottle of rum. He planned to make a night of it.

RAUL! Raul the Black!” A scolding tone in a voice of an mature woman came from the warlock’s far side. Ah, Madame Green, the Queen of all that caused lust – but yet, also, the very essence of prophecy, forever shaming men who claimed to be an oracle better than she. Raul was familiar with her, in only that she would occasionally drop a few clues in the path of his life… Today, would not be an exception. Her eyes focused on his behind her mask, keeping her very identity hidden. She wore a wig, furthering the mystery behind the woman’s name. For all he knew, she could be very young, or very old – surely magics helped to change her voice’s ring?

Stopping in the tavern while your mate holds your son in her womb? Tsk, tsk.. I thought I taught you better.” Large lashes swooped over her eyes as she would flutter them coyly, pursing the deep rouge that was her lips and gazing at him with the intensity of her blue eyes. She sat on a large and red throne, made of cushioned fabric as a well behaved Russian Blue cat (named Spike, in case one wished to know) that was a constant accessory sat in her lap. Its eyes gazed at Raul disapprovingly, as if knowing exactly what he had done and what his master had said.

Madame Green crossed one leg over the other, the cat moving accordingly to not inconvenience her. “What a child your son will become.. You both have eyes of blue, but the child’s will be amber or violet – either way his powers swing, well. That will determine his eye color. You can guess which color means what.. A powerful mutt that you two have bred. I’m surprised that the little thief hasn’t yet decided to teach him her ways. Ah, what a shame it would be for the child’s powers to go to waste.. Grimm. Yes. That’s the boy’s name.

Intelligent eyes gazed at the warlock, gauging for his reaction – but if he dared to make a move towards her, he would find himself hit by an immensely powerful force field that not even he could attempt to combat – she held powers greater than his.. “I am worried, as a user of the arts myself.. Your son possesses powers that not even you.. nor I can imagine, Raul.” This within itself was a big deal, as the sorceress he spoke to was the among most powerful that man had seen.. If she questioned his son’s power, then what would it mean when the child was matured..?

The Warlock had his back to mostly everyone in range of him. His slouched form hovering over the booth table as a pewter mug of rum was slid across the wood by a passing barmaid. He seized it by the handle and took a large gulp, not even letting it touch the sides of his mouth. Raul just wanted to drown his sorrows and forget that woman that he left behind. He never expected for someone to call out his name.

“RAUL! Raul the Black!”

Barely had the taste of rum hit his lips when the scathing and vicious tone of a woman was heard. Callous and cold. Raul closed his eyes for a moment, as he tried to place a name to the voice and in two seconds, he felt a terrible pain in his chest as the shock of who it was started to sink in. Had she heard of his failures in Greed? Of the woman that he left behind and his wounded pride.

“Stopping in the tavern while your mate holds your son in her womb? Tsk, tsk.. I thought I taught you better.”

Raul froze in his seat. His eyes…the pupils dilated at the next sentence to leave her tongue. He actually had to repeat it to himself twice to make sense of it. Raul turned his head slowly, only to see the masked woman who sat upon a throne..oddly placed within the tavern. She sat stroking a cat, while staring at him through the bizarre mask. Dark hair cascading down her shoulders. The right edge of Raul’s lip twitched as he could feel the core of his dark heart now beating with a renewed fury.

“Madame Green. You speak lies. My Bandit is not pregnant. She was barely alive when I left her.” As far as Raul knew that was the truth. Pushing away the tankard of rum, he brought his palms down on the table in front of him and then used it to force himself to stand. Right foot out he went to be clear of the booth, as he stared the woman down. It was then she went on about the prophecy, and at each word, Raul’s fingers were twitching…aching to release a powerful bolt of energy to thrust into her very being. Hatred swelling like poison in his veins.

Grimm. Yes. That’s the boy’s name.”

“YOU LIE!” Raul refused to believe it. The woman he loved…pregnant and not only that with a child that will hold great powers. His name even being said. This couldn’t be true. “It’s not true….that’s impossible.” He would have known….he would have felt it. Raul’s eyes darted about as he tried so hard to digest what she was saying.

“I am worried, as a user of the arts myself.. Your son possesses powers that not even you.. nor I can imagine, Raul.”

“BITCH!” Raul raised his arms and tried to blast her with a massive bolt that was akin to lightning, but all it did was bounce off her force field and slam back into him. The force of this blew him back into a table of gamblers and whores, sending them all flying. Legs in the air, people screaming. The tables and chairs broke, as Raul tried to crawl out of the mess of people. Finally getting to his feet, the Warlock was smoldering, and panting hard.

“If you are seriously lying to me….Madame Green, so swear it I will rip out your ovaries via your sweet lips.” Raul stared her down as you could see a trail of blood coming from his right temple. ~RB~

It was a tinkling laugh, yet somehow evil to its core. She reveled in his fear, his anger. Oh, how amusing it was to be an oracle. “I speak truths that you wish were lies.” The woman spat back, baring her teeth for a brief moment. “Ah, but do try, Raul. I need some entertainment in my life, your agony as you even attempt to lay a finger on me will suffice.” Her glare was splitting – if effective, he would suddenly feel agonizing pain his head, as though someone was slowly cutting off the top half of it, as well as the screams of thousands of tortured souls booming through his ears.. and this was all caused by a glare.

Get up, you fool.” Madame’s gaze softened to stop the pain that he could have been feeling, but remained sharp towards him.. “Go find your mate, before she makes a stupid decision to kill the damned thing.. Or perhaps we’re all better off with such a powerful child dead..” The female would pause, tilting her head thoughtfully. Her eyes would turn a striking white color, her face slackening as another vision engulfed her.. This one was short, only half a minute, her eyes focusing on him afterwards.. “She is teetering on the edge of killing it or leaving it alive. But where oh where could she possibly be found..?

Of course Madame Green knew the answer.. This was all just a play to her, after all. Whether the child lived or died was, frankly, none of her concern.. Perhaps it would be easier on the rest of them if such a powerful being never came into existence.. There was an agonizing amount of time before Madame Green spoke, oblivious to any words or actions Raul may have done or uttered, her gaze focusing only on the background. As she looked at him now, she would smile in a calculating way.. “Oh? You wish to know a location? Try the place where mountains grow.. Where those who fly lose their wings.. Shall I say.. Fall?” A cackling laugh at her own little joke..

Madame Green’s merriment in Raul’s angered state brought nothing but a foul scowl from the Warlock. How dare she express pleasure at his torment. The Bitch. He thought that Lydia had been bad, but this woman…this masked bovine for want of a better word was treating the Warlock no better than a dog. She chuckled at how she was speaking the truth that he wished were lies. Of course he wished she was lying. To know that Bandit carried his child meant that he had done one thing right. Proof of their union…proof of his love. But having her carry the child at such a dangerous time and in the arms of that damned Fallen – Habib meant that both she and his unborn were well out of his reach.

Getting to his feet, the sound of bits of the table and other things were heard dropping from his coat as he tried to right himself properly. The woman ordering his to get up and calling him a fool. All that earnt her was a fierce growl of contempt.

“Go find your mate, before she makes a stupid decision to kill the damned thing.. Or perhaps we’re all better off with such a powerful child dead..”

“Oh trust me, I shall leave no stone un-turned in the hunt for her now. Starting with Greed!” He already had those people in his sights for sending him away. Did they know that Bandit was pregnant? Was this all a ploy? He didn’t trust anyone anymore. Burnt by Lydia, he was now flying solo. “As for the girl trying to kill her own child. I doubt very much that she had it in her to kill it. Regardless of how it came to be. Even if she hated me….she would not kill her own.”There was a fierceness in his voice. Adamant that he knew her well enough to know how she would be emotionally. She was a fighter, through and through. Her will to live strong….and her will to love….well, he knew she was capable of it.

The oracle continued to play word games with Raul, and he was pacing back and forth like a wolf ready to spring an attack. Every so often he snarled at her words. But one thing that she did do, was one last riddle that pinpointed not only where she might be….but also who she was with.

“…Where those who fly lose their wings.. Shall I say.. Fall?”

“Habib!….Krakus Mountain.” There…it was easy when you knew the Fallen as well as Raul did. After all, he used to serve the Warlock all those years ago.

Taking one last look at the oracle, he then sneered at her menacingly. “I would say it has been a pleasure, but meeting you is the equal to having my balls removed and fed to a dog. Very….unpleasant.” That said…he marched out of the tavern and into the square….ready to start his trek towards Krakus Mountain.

Another client well serviced, if I say.. Madame’s grin only widened at his last words. “Well the pleasure was all mine, my dear!” She’d called after him, then smiling half-way. The eyes of the oracle/seer closed as she rested in thought, pondering. She would focus on that story for a moment, seeing what was in store — oh! A laugh came from her as she clapped her hands together, the laugh itself sharp and surprising. “Glorious!” Something in the foreseeable future had made her happy.. Which was not at all a good thing. “Valmont! Oh, I must!” Yes, she was indeed talking to herself out loud… but this was a normal occurrence, so none looked over at her in her throne, in the back corner of the room but still visible to the stage and near the bar.

Madame stood, Spike giving a mew of discontent at being forced from her lap and onto the floor. “Yes, yes, I know my lovely. Mama will be back.” Madame bent over, running her hand over the feline’s head and then scratching behind his ears. “Fascinating little thing, you are. Keep my seat warm, hmm?” The cat would jump back onto her seat and she walked to the door, pushing it open and stepping into the street. One moment she was there, the next an empty space. The only indication of her presence was the wet mark of her heel’s imprint on the street from stepping in a small puddle of beer.

The Maze of Greed – The Finale.

We come to the end of the Maze of Greed, with the defeat of Lydia- but the drama isn’t over.  Bandit carries a secret within her that is bound to change everything.

Bandit let herself fall nearly limp in Habib’s arms, shaking still. Her heart beat quickly as all she could smell was the fallen angel, all she could see was him, too.. Eyelids fluttered until they closed completely, her arms reaching up to wrap around the fallen’s neck.. Though, despite how much she shook in fear, some part of her wished that it was not Habib that held her, but Raul. God, what was it that attracted her to the messed and broken? Perhaps, that it was that she herself was a mess, that she too was a broken soul, waiting to be put back together.. Another part of her wished nothing more than to drink this all away, and the final part wanted nothing but her death.. What further suffering could she be spared if she was killed now..? Her eyes opened slowly as she gazed up at Habib, head falling back to be against his arm – there was no in between, she could not hold herself up currently..

Her breathing was hard gasps, almost wheezing rather than actual breaths. Her heart beat seemed almost impossibly fast, echoing — wait a minute.. No. Her heart beat was actually quite faint and slow, but yet.. there was another sound, thumpthumthumpthump, rapid in tune and seeming to come from her lower abdomen.. Oh. Oh.. it was another heartbeat entirely.. Yes. Bandit was pregnant. And Raul was her child’s father.. But she did not yet know of this pregnancy, she did not yet know of the little being that she held inside of her, a child with magic as strong as its father’s and a will to live as strong as its mother’s… Bandit needed nutrition and warmth, she would catch a sickness remaining outside and in such a weakened state – in fact, she could feel the same waves of unconsciousness overcoming her, appearing to be faint for another time. This would not be good for her baby..

Scar was now beaming brightly as his beautiful Princess took his hand. In the change from coming back in the hat, he was actually taller now, and one might say better looking. Maybe it was his love for the young witch that had him appear this way. Then again, it was not how one looked, but what they were truly inside that made them worthy of love. Scar had been to hell and back…really, in order to save the girl of his dreams. He had been sent away in his own hat, and then brought back her family to her in order to help her. Little did he truly understand that in order to save her, she had to learn to save herself. It would be a good lesson for life and one that would be important in the coming days as the rest of hell figured out that Lydia was dead.

Wow…the evil bitch finally got what was coming to her and she had a particularly nasty end. But looking about them now, they would see nothing but beauty. The maze had come back full and strong – vivid and colourful. Gone were the evils that walked its many lengths, but instead there were brightly coloured flowers and singing birds. Maybe this was an unnatural phenomenon in a place like Greed, but it matched the new Princess perfectly.

Scar gave Mariela’s hand a squeeze as he gestured for Sam, Sean and Tessa to follow. The alp knew that the family deserved a reunion that made the whole adventure worth while. In the coming days, Mariela would have a lot of choices to make. For one…she must decide if her family was to return. Mariela might be able to visit them, but the truth was she now belonged in Hell, and Greed was her kingdom and her home.

“Wait till you guys see the castle. It’s probably still a mess from the ball. Hope they have clean up crews working on it.” No truer statement had been made. There had been magical fights up there and much destruction and death. Not exactly the kind of place you want to take your relatives. Walking past the great giant Douglas, you could see the ginger haired mountain was happy for the small couple, but he was also sad in a way. There was no going back to the Fallen mansion now, and even if he could….Quinn was not there. His only friend in the worlds. He had lost his family long ago, and had no one to call his….or a real home. Some were getting their happy ever afters and others were not. The biggest losers were those that chose to play their worst cards with little regard for the others. Raul…Lydia…both lost.

The giant wiped away a stray tear as he leaned on his battle axe. The maze in behind him was in full bloom and colour. Did it really need a gardener now? Slowly, he made his way out of the maze and continued his search for the hell hound…his only friend.

(TC – Douglas)

Further back, Habib was holding onto the very tired looking Bandit. Her breathing was still shallow and her gasping came hard and sounded dreadful. She needed rest from all that had happened, and the fallen held her very close to him as he started to follow the rest of the party. But it was during that first few steps that he felt not one…but two heartbeats. Strange. A human only has….Habib’s eyes widened at the realization. No…it can’t be. Was Bandit pregnant? He stopped long enough to let the others get well ahead before saying anything.

“I was going to take you away from this realm to a place where you can be healed…..but, it may destroy the life within you.” The fallen knew that if Bandit was indeed pregnant, and if the baby belonged to who he thought it did, that there was no way she could leave hell now. The fallen had to think quickly. The Princess and her family were just getting on with their lives, and now this. If Raul found out, he would bring about such death and destruction to get back Bandit and their child. Habib’s wings burst into life and without looking back, he pushed off from the ground, soaring into the air with Bandit in his arms. He needed to find her a temporary sanctuary from all that could harm her so he could think of what to do next.

Her life…and that of her unborn depended on it.

Mariela looked at Scar, realizing how much taller he was than her. “You’re taller now.” she stated with a small smile. She had always thought Scar was a charmer – but now he actually looked it. But she didn’t state this out loud, and instead bit the corner of her lip and gave a smile, before turning to Tessa and her brothers.

As they walked through the maze, Mariela took time to look around and notice how truly beautiful it was. Certainly much different than what it looked like before. It was a nice change, and Mariela admired how beautiful the maze was. Made her actually want to walk through it this time. Mariela looked down when Scar squeezed her hand, entwining their fingers together as he did so. She then looked up when Scar spoke.

“The castle is quite grand. It has everything you can imagine, and certainly fits for a perfect castle for Greed.” she said with a small laugh, looking at Tessa and her brothers again. “There was a… incident at the ball. We weren’t there to see what happened, but my guess is none of it was good. And if we walk and it’s completely destroyed, I apologize.” she spoke, turning to look ahead again.

“I didn’t think you could do it. Kill the Princess of Greed.” Tessa spoke, and Mariela turned to look at her. “I’ve killed once before, you know. That’s why I ended up in Hell.” she spoke. “That was different.” Sean spoke up. “You did it to protect us.” he spoke again, and Mariela looked at him. “And I killed Lydia to protect myself, and everybody else. The same exact reason I killed that man years ago. To protect the one’s I love.”

“Lydia was so… powerful. Yet you managed to kill her.” Tessa spoke, still not believing that little Mariela defeated the “powerful” Princess of Greed. Mariela just sighed, looking forward again. “Lydia may have been powerful, but that power caused her death. She may have been Princess of Greed, but there is such a thing as being too greedy.” she started.“Her Greed and ambition and desire to be the most powerful person in Hell caused her demise.” she said, then looked at the trio. “That, and the fact she had a really bad habit of underestimating people who were “lower” than her.” she said with a smile.

“So, you’re the new Princess of Greed. What are you going to do now?” Sam asked and Mariela shrugged. “Guess we’ll have to wait and see. But I know one thing. I’ll do a hell of a better job running this place than Lydia ever did.” she spoke.

The Maze of Greed – Part Seventeen : SS.

Bandit’s life flashes in front of her eyes as she is about to find peace within the arms of a fallen.  Was she accepting her death, or was this last explosion of memories to make her realize the little girl she had forgotten?

Scene setting : The Maze of Greed – Seven Sins series.

Co-written with Dessy, Artie and Phyln.

Dessy:  Mariela shot a look towards Raul, but said nothing else on the matter. “Scar…” she said when he snarled, but said nothing more. She looked up at Habib, giving a nod before being handed Bandit. She actually struggled a little bit to hold her up this time, walking over to a nearby fountain and kneeling down, layign Bandit down in front of it… but it wasn’t as easy as it was before.

She turned around hearing Raul’s begging voice, and cocked her head at the tears in his eyes. “You actually care for her.” she spoke out loud. “You have a funny way of showing it.” she then spoke. “Hurting her to where she’s an inch away from death and placing a collar on her like a dog isn’t a very good way to show you “love her”.” she then snapped, before looking at Bandit.

She moved her hand around, sprouting a few vines to wrap around Bandit’s injured leg. They glowed slightly, healing the leg. “You don’t have to give your life. As much as I’d love to kill you for everything you’ve done, there’s no need.” she spoke. She could hear the gasps come from Tessa and her brothers, but the witch just rolled her eyes. “Come on, Bandit.” she then said, leaving her hand over the vine wrapped around the leg, greatening the healing magic occasionally.

Mariela whipped her head around when Scar snarled again. “Scar! Let him go.” she spoke. “He’s not going to do anything.” she spoke, before turning her gaze towards Raul. “If he does, I’ll be more than happy to take care of him myself.”

Whispers of many, voices garbled together in a chorus of words that Bandit could not understand. Flashing lights consumed her eyes, scenes that she could not focus on from her memory encasing her, consumed with the unconsciousness of her physicality as her life flashed before her eyes. Bandit’s mind was a chorus of crescendos, an orchestrated chaos. While she would remain limp physically and paled, on the brink of death, life surged within her in a rush of force greater than it ever had before. The lights grew faster in speed, the whispers had begun a hissing and definite roar – so much so that she wished to cover her ears and scream to make it stop, to halt the yells. Pieces of her past conversations of all sorts mentally assaulted her, loud over the whispers.

“Mommy, I’m scared.” A small girl’s voice.
“I know baby.. Be strong, Beatrix. Be strong.” An older and mature woman voice.
“Mama!” The girl was crying now, a shuffle as a chorus of yelling began, men, a gunshot..

Whispers.

SLAP.
“I hate you!” Teenage girl, screaming through tears.
“You should never have been born!” A man, older. Slurred words. Drunk.

Louder, more voices of whispering.

“Don’t touch me, don’t touch- Don’t touch me!

The whispers began to be overpowering.

Sobbing, soft and muffled, as though a young woman was crying herself to sleep..

Silence.

https://i2.wp.com/31.media.tumblr.com/44d073edc802eabda9bf8b314ce6b745/tumblr_mqbt86zY211sb10bxo1_400.gif

A single memory found itself to her subconscious. A better time, before she had earned her nickname. Back when her name was not Bandit.. but Beatrix. When she sustained enough innocence to be nothing more than a human, with issues but otherwise unscathed by the future hardships of the world in front of her.. The world that she would know to be cruel and unforgiving, willing to allow a woman to die for its own entertainment. To sit back and watch as a girl who had only tried to live became nothing more than a chew toy for others to tug-o-war with..

“Mama?” Beatrix asked, held in her mother’s loving arms. “Yes, my dear?” The woman had kind eyes and dark hair, but her eyes were a striking blue – cold, if not for the warm smile always planted on her face. Cold, if not for the lovingness that always came from her, the willingness to be there for what was her pride and joy.. The small girl held in her arms. Blue eyes gazed back into the woman’s, but these were duller. They were not striking, but simply calming, as if gazing into an ocean. Her blonde hair was pure and untainted, much like the soul within her. Beatrix could not have been older than six, perhaps maybe four or five..

“Why isn’t Daddy home?” Beatrix’s eyes were merely curious, lacking sadness and not yet understanding the concept…
“Daddy had to go out and see his friends. He’s drinking his medicine, sweetie.” The woman’s face faltered for a split second – one that Beatrix would not note, gazing down at her mother’s beautiful curls and looking back up to the smile that made the young girl smile in return. Oblivious. Ignorance was bliss..

A sudden and loud thud would then make the woman look up, from down the hall.. Something was different. It was not the knocking over of objects.. It was a gunshot. “Honey. Beatrix, baby.” Amoria crouched down to gaze at her daughter. “You need to go to the closet, and I need you to hide. Daddy’s medicine didn’t work today, he’s feeling sick. Okay?”

“Mommy,” Beatrix’s face had fallen. “I’m scared..” She sudden began to gaze around. Another crash further down the hall. Loud footsteps.. Her father’s friends had come along?

“I know, baby. Be strong, Beatrix. Be strong.” With a waving motion, Amoria would then turn to have her back towards Beatrix, standing at full height as though ready to protect her child. Beatrix did not recognize the bruises on her mother’s wrists back then.

Beatrix’s eyes widened as she suddenly was overcome with fear, waddling with her small and inexperienced feet towards her mother, seeking warmth and comfort that she would never again feel – “Mama!”

The door burst open.

. . .

Bandit burst awake, tears in her eyes as she gasped, sitting up. A hand flinged itself over her chest, oxygen coming slowly to her as it was painful to breathe. The flood of emotions drowned her, the waves overtook her body as she was suddenly consumed in painful sobs. It hurt to cry, her chest burned with each breath. Movements sent flames throughout her body.. She was consumed with pain, the intense healing on her already weak human body nearly shattering it. Her blue eyes held even more emotional pain that physical, the emotions perhaps restricting her breaths more than her actual injuries. “Fuck! Fuck!” Each word was breathless, mixed with a choking cough.

“I can’t.. breathe!” She was breathing, but it didn’t feel like air was going through to her. For the first time in her short life, Bandit had broken down. Even Raul’s mind games had not broken her. Her first love leaving had not broken her. The death of her mother had not broken her. The abandonment of her father had not broken her. But now, with all of it coming back at once, she broke into a million pieces. A million small fragments of the girl she had been. Tender, stripped of emotions and guards that years had prepared her for putting up.. And now they had been stripped down, leaving her defenseless in front of so many people.

Her legs had ceased to bleed and now she could feel them, the dull and numb feeling that coursed from him into her core. She was a mess of tears and blood, her hair dirty in contrast to the innocent blonde it had once been in her memory. The dull blue and clueless eyes in her past were now bright and shining from the tears once within them. They had become striking, they were striking. She did not have the same warmth as her mother. The cold had consumed her – she had not consumed it…

For once, in her life, Bandit felt a need for warmth. A need..
“Someone hold me!” The words were gasped, her body shaking as she was continuously healed – it was a necessary evil for her to live, but in her conscious state it only brought her pain..

Phyln: His grasp was final he was not the reaper but he entertained the idea that he was the janitor of the dead, he did not farry souls over the river or collect them from the world of the living. No his was a much simpler task more often than not when the ever flowing tides of chaos removed another damned being from its eternal or rather not so eternal existence in hell he would sweep away the remnants of the power it had once possessed. grabbing a hold of the soul he began the process of adding it to his collection, dragging the spirit towards him it struggled clearly still clinging to the life it once had. However it was too late it had no where to go, even if he released it where would it run to. it was not hard to hold onto a soul when it has no where to go slowly he dragged it across the ethereal plain into the bag. as it entered the strings on the bag drew them selves closed over what to the mortal eye would appear to be nothing. opening his eyes with his task finished he fastened the bag to his belt and raised one hand in prayer. “May your eternal rest be peaceful for you have served your damnation”. his prayers were little more than ceremony at this point offering nothing than words to the dead. He turned and began his treck out of the maze at his usual brisk pace.

Greed: The Masquerade Ball : Maze

The passing of Lydia’s soul over into the bag after putting up such a struggle meant the end of the reign of the Princess of Greed. All her magical power was now within the young witch, whether she realized this or not. Would the witch end up being cursed just as the other heads of Greed had been, or will this be the dawning of a new era? Anything was possible, least that is how things were happening up further in the now beautiful maze.

A woman who had been beaten within an inch of her life, and forced to wear a collar that’s magic drained the wearer was so close to death that nothing that the Warlock or even the fallen could do to stop the inevitable. However, it was within this moment, when life is slipping away that we look back one last time at all that has happened to us over the course of our lives. With the group watching on – fearful that Bandit would die, they were unaware that she was experiencing this near death slide show of her life, from child hood till the bitter end. It is interesting that it is not one single event in our lives that makes us who we are, but rather it is like an enormous patch work quilt. Each piece sewn together with an array of emotions and feelings that either create something beautiful and a treasure or something akin to a nightmare visage.

Stripped away of everything and all the fail safes that had been set into place to create a fierce wall in which to protect her from further harm had now crashed down into a pile of rubble, leaving Bandit exposed to everything….and all at once.

Yes, the witch was able to somehow stop the bleeding and heal the physical, but what she couldn’t do was heal the heart….the mind. Behind those terrified eyes lay a broken soul. A timid child. Cold…and frightened. Her heart eclipsed for so so long.

Scar growled as he slowly released his grip on Raul’s throat and fell back, only to watch on as Mariela did her best to heal the young girl. He crouched down beside Mariela, his eyes riddled with concern. The alp was the demon of nightmares who had been called on especially by Lydia for his talents, and he whispered to Mariela.

“I can see….what she is seeing.” The more the alp witnessed the more shocked he was. The poor girl had been through so much, and it only made him hate the Warlock with a renewed passion. Scar grit his teeth and snorted through his nostril as he waited to see if the girl would make it through.

Thankfully, Bandit’s spirit was a strong one. A fighter to the very core. Her first words as she started to come around showed that same spunk. “Fuck! Fuck!” This brought something of a relieved collective sigh, but it was what she said following, that made all realize she was not out of the woods.

“I can’t.. breathe!”

Scar threw up his hands and sat back. “I’m not doing it.” One of the things that an alp does to a victim is sit upon their chest so they feel that they can’t breathe. It had to be something else causing it. With dark marks upon his throat, Raul again stepped forward, wanting so much now to help Bandit. The only problem was, someone stood in his way.

“Turn around…and walk away.” The fallen’s wings opened out in the full to protect Bandit who was still on the ground, now shivering. Habib would simply not have Raul hurt her again. “It’s over. Return to Lust where you belong.” The two men faced off, Habib’s face was like stone as he refused to give quarter. He had seen Raul hurt Bandit over and over again. For the first time in centuries, the Warlock lowered his head. He had lost. The worst part was that it was in losing her that he truly realized what his real feelings were. This was the price he would pay for the rest of his days in Hell.

https://38.media.tumblr.com/dc1fd9454f76f85335f73f20fdf159bd/tumblr_nitl7tLwnC1r6qaxco10_r1_500.gif

The sounds of Bandit crying out for someone to hold her brought out a pained look from Raul. Oh how much he wanted to hold her, to cherish her now and tell her that he loved her. Sadly, it would not be him. Sighing, he turned away from the scene, his hands clenched into fists and he strode away – vanishing from the Maze of Greed.

With the Warlock gone, Habib returned to Bandit’s side and attempted to lift her up into his powerful arms. He hoped to give her the warmth and comfort she needed. Especially now.

“I’m here for you, Bandit.”

Scar rose to his feet, and gestured with his hand for Mariela’s. It was now a time to breathe, and let Mariela have a chance to speak with her family – her brothers and her friend Tessa. The Alp knew that they had a lot to catch up on.

“Why don’t we get out of this maze and head up to your castle, my Lady?” He smiled brightly at the new Princess of Greed, and waited to see her reaction. After all, he said ‘my’ again.

Dessy:  Mariela watched Bandit, occasionally her eyes moving to the leg that she was trying to heal. Scar came beside her, and when he whispered about being able to see everything, she turned her head to him. “What do you see?” she then whispered back, but Bandit popped up a few minutes later. With a wave of her hand, the vines disappeared and Mariela stayed on her knees, her hands holding onto Bandit’s shoulders. “Bandit, it’s okay.” she said, her face growing to concern when she said she couldn’t breathe.

Mariela grabbed and pulled Bandit into a hug, holding her as her eyes stared at Habib and Raul, her eyes shooting daggers into Raul. “Bandit, it’s okay. You’re safe.” she spoke, her voice calm and soothing as she held Bandit in a hug. When Raul turned around and walked away, Mariela’s eyes followed him until he had disappeared. She then pulled away from Bandit so Habid could pick her up. “Take care of her, and whatever you do, don’t let Raul touch her again.” she spoke.

She looked up when Scar held his hand, giving him a smile before she put her hand in his and stood up. When Scar spoke, she gave another smile and nodded her head, before turning to look at Habib. “If you need anything, or she needs help or anything, you can come see me anytime you want. But, please, keep her away from Raul.” she spoke, before turning back to Scar.

She gave him a smile, nodding her head. “Let’s go… my Scar.” she said, fully aware she used the word “my” to describe him, and she just ended up grinning. She turned to motion to Tessa and her brothers, telling them to follow, and after the trio all looked at each other with raised eyebrows at the way they called each other “my”, they shrugged before following behind the two.

The Maze of Greed – Part Sixteen : SS.

“You had the power…you had it all along….you just needed to believe in yourself.” : Habib.

Scene setting: The Maze of Greed – Seven Sins series.

Co-written with Dessy, Artie and Phyln.

Dessy:  Tessa heard Bandit mumble the words “fucking great”, but she didn’t say anything on the matter. She was pretty sure that she was the only one to have heard it, so she never said anything. But then all of them got distracted by the maze disappearing. They all seemed to have the exact same reaction… wondering what the fuck was going on. Tessa looked down, feeling the blood drip down her hand to see the pool of blood starting to form. “Shit.” she mumbled. They didn’t have much time left… and where the hell was Mariela?

“I’M NOT THE ONE DOING THIS!”

Raul roared, before sending the four women… girls… whatever they were… away. All of a sudden, a winged creature appeared in front of them, causing Tessa to widen her eyes and take a few steps back. He began speaking, and mentioned about the Princess of Greed being… dead? So, Mariela did it. She killed her. Honestly, this caused shocked expressions to appear on Tessa and the brothers faces. “She killed Lydia?” Tessa asked out loud, shocked. “I can’t believe it. She actually did it.”

He walked towards the boys, telling them to step aside, and they did. They then turned around to watch him walk towards Tessa. He bowed, before mentioning about how he could save Bandit. Tessa opened her mouth to speak, but Raul was already yelling about “Bandit was his”. Tessa stared at Raul, while slowly handing Bandit over to this winged creature. Raul then threatened to never let Mariela see Scar again, and then not being able to send Tessa and the boys back. He began yelling to Mariela, and Tessa closed her eyes, in hopes that her dear friend could indeed save the maze.

Mariela had a panicked expression. The maze, and the Giant, were all disappearing in front of her, and she had no idea what to do. “Shit, shit, shit.” she cursed in a panic, turning to look all around her.

“YOU ARE THE POWER, MARIELA!!!…….YOU HAD IT ALL ALONG!!!. YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!!! REPAIR THE BROKEN MIRROR WITH THE SHARD!!!….BRING THE MAZE BACK!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!”

Who the hell was that? And what did he mean “she was the chosen one”? Mariela didn’t understand. She was under so much pressure, trying to save everyone and everything. Chosen one? Why was she the chosen one? How did she “have the power”? She sat here thinking about all of this, and also running out of the time.

She turned around, running back in the direction of the broken mirror. She stopped and stared at it, looking down at the shard in her hand. “How the fuck am I supposed to do this?” she mumbled, before getting down on her knees in front of the shard. She looked down at the shard again, before moving to place it by her side. “I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this… But it’s worth a shot.” she spoke. She held her hand over the pieces of the shattered mirror, the pieces falling back into place. Now, she needed to just take the shard and place it into the only open spot. Right? She hoped that was right. She picked up the shard… the blood now dried in place… before pressing it in place, like she was placing the last puzzle piece in a puzzle.

Artie:  Bandit’s eyes had widened at the appearance of the angel-like male, larger than ever before. Her whole body had begun to feel numb, her breathing somewhat labored now. Oh god, was this how she was going to die.. Again? As she was cradled in the arms of the male, her body felt oddly warm… Though, a blinding white had begun to intrude on the edges of her sight, her lips parting as her eyes fluttered. It became hard to gaze around, her head becoming terribly dizzy as she felt a terrible surge of nausea… And then the sounds around her became muffled, as though she was underwater in a pool and listening to everyone talk. Not even Habib’s words were completely legible, despite how he would roar them..

Clang!

The dagger once in her hand fell to the ground as Bandit went limp, her head tilting back over Habib’s arm. Her hand hung over his forearm, her hand dangling with her wrist bent towards the ground and the fingers splayed as her grip on the dagger was lost completely. Bandit’s eyes were closed and she seemed still, despite her soft breathing. This was the only indication that she was alive, as her skin had begun to pale. Habib could feel the thick wetness of her blood on his hands. In the short time she had been held by him, her blood had already been spilt enough to drip onto the ground below her. She had succumbed to the tempting feeling of unconsciousness…

Bandit was going to die.

Greed : The Masquerade Ball – Maze

~Broken fragments~

It was a nightmare. People calling to the witch, begging for help and then those that roared from across the field where the maze was now flickering in and out that the witch had the power to save them all. The poor girl must have felt like her head was about to spin off her shoulders. Who to save first? Where to turn? How to use her magical powers to set things right again. The giant was now looking like a ghost as his form was fading more and more. One of his legs disappeared from view and the bulk of him crashed to the ground as though he was being wiped out of existence. The Scotsman tried to speak but now his voice was practically a whisper. Gone were the big booming vocals that they had all been used too. The very threads of magic that held everything together were snapping one by one like guitar strings. With only a few remaining as the wave of panic had hit the little witch. In her hand was the blooded shard, the final piece of the broken mirror puzzle. In that shard, you could see the eyes of the Alp – staring at her with a look of sorrow. He couldn’t hear what was happening, but had almost given up all hope.

“How the fuck am I supposed to do this?”

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3ffk9dqWauE/VFsy0XEPSdI/AAAAAAAAT3I/-t2Bs5nV2yo/w506-h750/f38e8e03.gif

“Believe in yourself.” A ghostly voice whispered in her ear. A voice that she had not heard in the longest time. It was the voice of her Mother. Somehow, in another world she still had that loving connection that one does with the spirit world. In Bandit’s heart she would be able to feel the power of love that was now being sent through via this one connection that held firm

“Your greatest power…is the power of love.”

As Mariela swept her hand across the many shattered fragments that were strewn across the ground, they all began to shimmer and rise slowly into the air. Pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that were the mirror – the enchanted mirror. A strange pinky like aura swept all the pieces together and one by one they began to fuse as the mirror itself solidified and was becoming whole. The frame like a golden halo was being recreated in a blaze of fire and sparks as the magic became stronger and stronger. It was Mariela’s love that was the greatest power in all of Hell – something that Lydia never had, nor could possibly understand. With the final piece of the puzzle in her hand, she was able to place it into the middle of the mirror…..

A glowing radiated as the piece fell into place, and the roar of power continued to spread as if by magic, the entire maze came back greater than before. Green and lush, but instead of the dark thorns, radiant flowers came to grow in the darkest parts. Beautiful statues, and gushing water fountains were springing up as the Giant was picked up by this same magical aura and his leg popped back into being.

“You’re doing it, little witch!” The giant roared with a happy laugh that sounded out all the way to where the rest of the party were standing. It was the most beautiful thing to see in the gardens of Envy. The evil of Lydia washing away and being replaced by the balance that was the Witch. Did she truly deserve to be the Princess of Envy? No….she deserved to be something much greater than that. She had sinned, yes…..but all for love.

As the Giant landed on the ground with a thud, he stared forward and then trudged over to the Witch to pick her up in a sweeping hug and turned her around. “You did it!” then he looked over her shoulder and roared “LOOK!”

Inside the mirror, the Queen of Hearts was twisting and contorting, as the opposite of Lydia was now feeling the death of her counterpart. It was destroying the magic bond that she had and now that meant that the one that had been pulled into the mirror, could be freed. The alp’s head, which had been cut off by the Executioner’s axe rolled around and then sailed back up and locked back onto Scar’s neck. Twisting till the face came back around to face the view on the outside of Wonderland. Scar snatched up his hat and then placed it snugly upon his head. He could see his beloved Mariela, and with one last wink at the dying Queen, he stepped out of the mirror – and back into the maze of Greed.

“I’m back? I’m BACK!” Scar danced about all excited. “I have my head….and my hat…and…” he looked to Mariela and bowed low. “My Princess.”

https://i0.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3npq07XLp1qj2doh.gif

Yes, it was a time of celebration – but on the other side of the maze, someone was dying.

Habib looked down, seeing the dagger fall from Bandit’s hand, and feeling her body slacking.

“No! Bandit…wake up!” Habib patted her face twice, before looking up at Raul. The Warlock was just as shocked at Habib was. For all the evil that he was, he didn’t want her to die. Forgetting himself, he moved to Habib’s side and waved his hand over the wounds that had caused her to bleed out. His hand tremored and shook as you could see he was trying to use his magic to seal her wounds closed…..but it wasn’t working. “Why isn’t it working?!” The Warlock had never had this experience before. He was gritting his teeth and doing his darnedest to make the bleeding stop.

“Because it was your poisoned soul that did this! You fool. You damned fool.”

“I love her! I always loved her!” The Warlock was now frantic as he racked his brain on how to help her.

https://i2.wp.com/media2.giphy.com/media/M1mWsuwxHJgYg/200_s.gif

“You have a sick way of showing it, Raul. We need to get her to the witch.” Habib gestured to the others, as the maze started to open to lead the group to Mariela and Scar.

~RB~

Phyln:  Walking through the corridors of the maze Solomon was slightly surprised as it began to fade away. Ceasing his march he gazed around as the old walls of the hedges flickered Something had happened though he was unsure what but whatever had created this maze no longer had a hold over it, This was a rare occurrence that he had seen something of this scale exist solely through magic, this did however create an eagerness within him to find what he came for. Through the mild transparency he was able to catch a glimpse of his goal the force that drew him here, the death of a powerful being. Quickly approaching the corner he peered through at where Lydia had fallen, the power was still strong so her soul remained intact for him to gather. He contemplated trying to walk through the walls now that they were only partially in this world however saw too many possibilities for a negative out come from that. however being able to clearly see his goal he no longer needed to rely on it pull alone and was able to make work of the maze.

Finally reaching Lydia’s corpse, or at least what was left of it he began his assessment. Closing his eyes he began to feel around the ethereal for the spirit, his eyes snapping open as he found it. The soul of a prince of hell, this was a very rare and very powerful specimen and even more so than finding one he was surprised that someone had managed to kill her. he contemplated going to collect their soul too but that would be a task for later for now he needed this one. no ordinary vessel would hold the power of one of the rulers of hell it would simply burst and leave nothing behind, digging deep into the pockets of his coat he produced a small blue silk bag, adorned with beads, charms, and patterns stitched in gold thread. Not wanting to risk losing it by storing it in a weaker container his decision would be to use his best and hope he would not come across a stronger one. Closing his eyes again he now went after the soul with the intention of collecting it.

Dessy:  Tessa’s eyes widened in panic as Bandit’s eyes started to close, the dagger falling out of her hand. The brothers turned to glare at Raul, Sean speaking up after he voiced his panic. “Your magic isn’t going to work to heal her.” Sean spoke. “A tainted and evil soul can’t heal someone who’s as bad as her, especially since you were the one who caused this.” he then spoke, receiving a nod from Tessa.

“He’s right. Our sister’s magic is the only way you will be able to save Bandit.” Sam spoke. “Guys, look!” Tessa then spoke, pointing to the maze as it rebuilt itself. But this time, it had water fountains, and flowers, and it had actual beauty that it didn’t have before. “Marie saved the maze.” she then spoke, before running in the direction the maze opened to. She gestured for the others to follow, before following the sound of the Giant’s voice. “Mariela! Bandit needs you! Now!” she called out.

——–

Mariela had heard the voice, and a shocked gasp came from her mouth when she recognized it as her mother’s. Sure enough, the pieces rose into the air and fit back into place like a jigsaw puzzle. Then she placed the final piece into the middle of the mirror, after watching the frame build itself back up.

Mariela would’ve never guessed her love was the secret all along. But it made more sense now. Her kindness, her heart, her love for every living thing. The love she felt for people close to her – it all made sense now. She stood up, turning as she watched the maze rebuild itself. A smile slowly apepared on her face as she saw the flowers, and the lush green, and the waterfalls. It was working.

https://i1.wp.com/cdn4.teen.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/candice-accola-smiling.gif

She let out a laugh at the Giant’s voice, turning to face him as he, too, came back. She turned her head to continue watching the maze, before she was all of a sudden picked up by the Giant. “Woah!” she exclaimed, before laughing as she was spun around. After she was placed on the ground, she turned to look at where the Giant was looking at. She watched as the Queen of Hearts began dying, then watched as Scar’s head seemed to place itself back on his body, before he stepped out.

https://38.media.tumblr.com/08cc7c26a5929127f28291e85c277832/tumblr_mkod0q1qk31rt31yao1_r2_500.gif
She watched Scar dance around, laughing as she did so. He then turned around to face her, bowing, and Mariela curtsied. “Hi, Scar.” she said with a smile. She didn’t say anything on his “my” comment this time. Not a single thing. She knew he said it… she just didn’t say anything. Before she could do or say anything else, she heard Tessa calling out to her. “Celebrate later. Bandit needs help.” she spoke, before turning around. “Come on!” she called to the giant and Scar, before running in the direction of Tessa’s voice.

Mariela stopped as they met up, immediately looking at Bandit. “Oh, god.” she started, before running towards the winged creature that carried her. “Let me see her. Quickly.” she spoke, holding her arms out to take Bandit from him.

Greed : The Masquerade Ball – Maze

Existing yet not. Caught between dimensions but able to see what is happening about her. It was a true nightmare. All her plans lay in waste and now the Witch was making the maze even more beautiful and lush than it was under Lydia’s control. Sweeping sad eyes could see the beauty, and she hated it. Hearing those that the witch loved returned to her as the mirror was fixed. The Death of the Queen of hearts in the world of Wonderland, meant that her hold there had gone. The maze’s resurrection was the true sign of her lost of power in this realm. What would happen to her now? Did the Devil laugh at this pathetic woman’s soul?

But little did she know that there was one moving through the maze, that had foreseen her demise and now was coming to collect the pieces. Pieces that were strewn about, but the one piece that was most vital to him. Her very ethereal spirit. Whether she realized it or not, that contained a great deal of power, but she simply could not use it, since her vessel was currently strewn about like a large tub of green goo.

Lydia had to turn away from the scene going on just a few metres away. They could not hear her, nor see her falling tears. But it was then she saw him The one that had come to collect. He was carrying a small blue silk bag, adorned with beads, charms, and patterns stitched in gold thread. Lydia watched him closely. He was not part of the Wtich’s party. She suddenly felt this strange sensation, that was like pulling on her very essence. Silently she started to scream as she was being sucked into the bag.

Scar and Mariela both ran for the spot where Habib was holding Bandit. Raul was not far in behind, but the look of devastation was clear as day. Scar snarled angrily when confronting the warlock again. If it weren’t for the fact that Mariela was so to the man holding Bandit, the Alp would have leaped past and tried to throttle the warlock for all he had done to them. Instead, they merely exchanged foul looks, while Habib was offering Bandit’s limp body to the young witch.

“She’s heavy like this.” Stating the obvious. He knew the witch’s strength lay in her powers, not so much physical. With Bandit having bled out, and Raul not being able to seal the wound due to his poisoned magic, she needed healing from one that had the human touch. For Habib to take Bandit to a place where he knew she could be healed, they may well be no coming back. The doorway to his world was fast closing. It was the way of magic. It always came at a price.

Raul came up alongside Habib, and though the two hated each other, the winged one did not protest. It was pretty clear that Raul’s feelings for Bandit, though twisted were true.

“I can’t fix her. Please…I beg you.” There were tears in Raul’s eyes as he cast his gaze over the dying Bandit. “I gladly give my life for hers.”

That was bound to bring a shocked gasp from those around, who had seen him at his worst. Scar snarled and then reached through to slam his hand around Raul’s throat. “You try anything….and I so swear, I will end you here!” Scar didn’t trust the warlock, even now.

The Maze of Greed – Part Fifteen : SS.

One thing was for certain.  A reaper had come for the souls of those that were dying in the maze.  Question was, how many souls would he collect?

Scene setting : The Maze of Greed

Co-written with Dessy, Artie and Phyln.

Dessy:  Lydia was a fool. An ambitious, greedy fool. Sure, she may have been the Princess of Greed, but it was becoming too greedy that caused her death. Just like Mammon’s. Lydia was the Demon of Ambition, and her own ambition and Greed caused her demise. She also had a bad habit of underestimating people, like she did with Mariela. She underestimated the young witch, and Mariela just proved that she was much greater than Lydia thought.

The shocked expression on Lydia’s face caused the young witch to smile. Blood poured out from the wound, onto the shard itself and onto Mariela’s hands. Once she had pulled the shard out, Mariela spoke nothing as she stared at Lydia as she spoke. Mariela continued eyeing her down, watching with triumph and satisfaction as the Princess of Greed died in front of her. She spoke of how Mariela belonged in hell, but the witch still said nothing. That may be true… but Mariela has accepted her fate. It’s time Lydia did the same.

https://i0.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0gjixZMlM1r9mt7oo1_250.gif

“I will rule this kingdom like it deserves to be ruled.” Mariela spoke, before Lydia exploded into green slime that covered the maze walls, and got all over her own dress. She continued holding the shard of glass dripping in blood, her own hands covered in blood as she turned to Duggie, who was wiping some off of the green slime off of his face.

“I’m sorry you had to see that. But it needed to be done.” she spoke when she had walked up towards Duggie. “Our next priorty is to find Raul, my brothers and the girls.” she spoke, walking in the direction they ran off to. She knew where they were. She followed their energy. She didn’t notice Scar’s face in the broken glass shards from the mirror. Instead, she walked through the maze, the Giant following behind her.

———

Meanwhile, in another part of the maze, Tessa and Bandit had ran into a dead end. “Dammit!” Tessa cursed, turning around to try and find a path they haven’t already went to. “I hate mazes.” she spoke. She stopped when she heard a familiar voice calling to her, and she turned to see the brothers.

“Tess!” Sam called as him and his brother caught up with the girls. “Sean! Sam! What are you doing here?” Tessa called.”Raul is after you guys. He’s trying to find Bandit. Marie sent us after you in hopes we got to you guys before he did.” Sam spoke. “And where is Marie?” the brunette haired girl asked.

“She stayed behind with Lydia. She said she’d find us later.” Sean spoke up, causing a horrified look to appear on Tessa’s face. “You left her alone with Lydia?! She’s going to get herself killed!” Tessa panicked. What none of them knew, was that Mariela was indeed alive. And different… in more ways than imaginable. “She’ll be fine, I’m sure. Now we don’t have much time. Raul is after you and we have to move! Now!” Sean said, beginning to pull Tessa to follow Sam, who had already ran ahead. Eventually, the four of them were running through another part of the maze, hoping to either run into a way out or run into Mariela. Anything but Raul.

Artie:  Bandit cursed softly under her breath when Tessa and Bandit ran into a dead end, her teeth baring in frustration. “No kidding. I’m never going to even do one as a brain teaser ever again.” Though she would turn around, gazing at the voice calling a girl’s name – oh. The girl carrying her. Not as if Bandit ever got a formal introduction to any of them. “Oh, fantastic.” The words dripped with sarcasm at the mention of Raul. She would suck in her bottom lip and begin biting it, but only for a moment. “Lydia against Mariela?” There was no doubt in Bandit’s mind that Mariela wasn’t alive, if this Lydia was half as bad as everyone claimed her to be.

“Oh, more running. Yay.” Bandit winced, as they began moving once more. The jostles and bumps brought twinges of pain up and down her legs, her eyes closing with each cringe. “Eek. Ow. Ooh.” Another wince. “Son of a bitch.” She sighed softly, attempting to absorb some of the pain in her legs. Bandit kept her arms firmly around Tessa’s neck, though ached to rub her legs to relieve some of the intense and building pain. The slashes in them were beginning to open up again, blood leaking from her and back onto her clothing, through the dried bits to become wet once more. Tessa would surely begin to notice the wetness on her hands, and if she looked, they would be stained dark red.

“S-sorry..” Was all that the blonde could manage, speaking through the intensified pain. For once, she felt powerless as the reality crashed down on her. If push came to shove.. she was worthless. This thought, and this alone, scared her more than Raul ever could.

Phyln:  Content to have been ignored as the events of the maze persisted around him Solomon found his way to the bodies of the fallen hounds. Kneeling gently beside the first he pulled a small vial from his belt, upon uncorking it the body of the hound he knelt by began to shimmer with a black haze. As the whole corpse dissolved into the new essence it was quickly scooped up into the vial. Placing the cork back in the solid body of the hound formed again at his feet though different this time. Despite being a corpse it now seemed even more cold and lifeless as its original colors faded and gave way to greys. This was the same creature but now lacking any evidence of ever having life within it. He continued this process for the remaining bodies using a different vial each time.

Sliding the last vial back into his belt he felt a great tug from somewhere else within the maze. Standing and righting his cane on the ground he straitened his jacket and headed off, his free hand on the wall as he allowed the pull of the powerful life force that had perished lead him to the center of the maze.

The Maze of Greed

~I blame you for the moonlit sky and the dream that died……..~

What a shock it was for a being such as Lydia to suddenly find herself standing in the same place, but all was black and white. Her fallen body was laying upon the ground in pieces…..green gloops of goo. Nothing of her was now recognizable and the spirit like Lydia opened her mouth to scream but no one was there to hear her. Lydia reached up to touch her face, and sure enough it was as she was before she had even become the Princess of Greed. She was just the Demon of Ambition in her true form – but a ghost.

https://i1.wp.com/25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mcckwkkcGN1qbrs65o6_r4_250.gif

“I’m dead?” There was a pitiful sound as she started to realize that all her dreams had just died along with her. Lydia tried to touch the maze wall and her hand simply moved straight through, without even causing a rustling in the leaves. “I can’t be dead. i can’t!” She started to wring her hands, looking for Raul. Where was he in her maze? Following that cripple? How could he leave her in her moment of what was supposed to be her triumph?

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” She screamed out again to nothing and no one….

Raul could not hear Lydia’s screams. How could he? It was not like he could hear the wail of a ghost. The warlock had no idea that the Princess of Greed had fallen at the hands of the young witch. Raul had bigger fish to fry. He wanted his girl back. Bandit, belonged to him -whether she understood that or not. Running now through the winding maze, he did begin to pick up the sound of voices up ahead.

“She’ll be fine, I’m sure. Now we don’t have much time. Raul is after you and we have to move! Now!”

It was one of the boys that had been with the witch. Aha. He heard the boy mention his name, which meant that the four of them were now working together to make their escape. But Raul was one tricky bastard. Stopping only for a moment he withdrew his lucky deck of cards and shuffled them wildly, before blowing on the deck. One, two, three….four queens of the deck spirited out of the cards and all appeared before their Master, one for each house. Spades, diamonds, Hearts and of course Clubs.

“Yes, Master?” They all chorused as they pawed and cooed at him with a haunting affection.

https://i0.wp.com/www.underthegunreview.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/van2.jpg

“Find the boys and the human girl that has my Bandit!” Raul snarled at them all as he threw his hand in the direction in which the four went. Without waiting for a second command, each of the Queens hurried off like streaks of coloured light, laughing and cackling as they went. Darting through the maze at astonishing speed. Raul then turned around as he knew that Mariela might be on her way. Had she defeated the Princess of Greed?

Further up the track, Douglas was following along behind Mariela. How incredible it was that she had changed so much when rising to the task of fighting Lydia. It was almost like the girl had somehow changed. Douglas coughed as he trudged along.

“I’m sorry about the mirror, lassie” He truly was, and he happened to look down at the piece of shard that Mariela held in her hand and the Giant could have sworn he saw a reflection of a pair of eyes in the glass.

“Err…..little witch, how did you make the face in the shard?”

If she bothered to look, she would see Scar’s eyes staring at her sadly.

Up ahead the four Queens of Raul all caught up with the two boys, Tessa and Bandit as they tried to get away. Dashing in front of them, two of the Queens landed and then bared horribly fang like teeth at the four. Two stayed in back as they all raised their arms and started to chant loudly. Their chorus could be heard throughout the maze itself, and this was what finally brought Raul around the corner.

https://i1.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/7fdef5f5c8900b152455c3a72ab369cf/tumblr_inline_n7ekk2TZ3b1sxbxz3.gif

“Well well well. Looks like you couldn’t find your way out, huh?” Raul had a smug expression, that was until the actual maze itself started to change….it was de-materializing right in front of their eyes. Lydia had brought it over from the Fallen mansion, and had used her magic to do it. With it now gone from her control, the maze was going back to where it truly belonged.

A few hundred metres away, Douglas was starting to go transparent.

“Little witch! Help me!”

~RB~

Dessy:  When they had stopped moving, Tessa couldn’t help but laugh at Bandit’s joke about the maze. Then the brothers had shown up, and Tessa had turned around. Hearing the words from Bandit’s mouth drip with sarcasm, Tessa looked down. “Don’t worry. We won’t let him have you.” she had spoke, before the three began running again. Tessa felt the wetness of her hands, and the entire time she heard Bandit’s words of pain. But they had to keep running.

“No worries. We’ll find a way to help you. I promise.” Tessa spoke. But the brothers had stopped in their tracks as two… women?… appeared in front of them. Tessa turned around, only to have two more appear behind them. “Shit.” the brunette cursed, stepping back in the middle with Mariela’s brothers. Sam stood in front and Sean stood behind, in an attempt to shield the two girls.

All of their heads turned at the sound of Raul’s voice. Sam opened to his mouth to speak, before the maze started to disappear. “Uh… What’s happening to the maze?” Sean asked. “I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure it’s not suppose to just disappear like this.” Sam said. Raul looked about as confused as they did, as the boys turned around to watch the maze disappear in front of them.

———

“It’s fine. You didn’t know.” Mariela spoke, her eyes still facing forward as she followed the path where her brothers had went off to. She stopped to give the Giant a confused look when he mentioned a face in the shard. “What?” she asked, before she held up the shard, stained with the blood of the fallen Princess of Greed. She saw Scar’s eyes, and her own eyes widened. “I’ll get you out of there, Scar. Promise.” she spoke, before moving her gaze back forward.

She was about to start walking again, but stopped as the maze seemed to suddenly disappear. “What’s happening to the maze?” she spoke out loud, turning around to look around as the hedges began to disappear. That’s when she remembered. “Lydia brought the maze from another dimension with her magic. When she died, her magic faded.” she spoke, but then the sudden realization hit that Douglas was part of the maze. “Oh no.” she spoke, whipping around to see Douglas going transparent.

“Little witch! Help me!”

Douglas called out, and Mariela started to panic. “Shit.” she spoke. Mariela didn’t know how to save Douglas, or the maze. But, she remembered that Lydia’s powers got absorbed into her when the collar locked onto her. Could that mean she had Lydia’s powers? It wasn’t possible. Mariela had to figure something out on how to save the giant. And she was quickly running out of time…

Artie: Could nightmares become real? Bandit’s eyes widened quite a bit as the women began to appear.. How familiar. How terribly familiar.. God. “Same old tricks, Raul?” Her voice was strong, but inside.. Inside, she was dying. The last time she’d encountered these women, she’d been whisked away from her home in the slave market and into slavery.. Great. “Fucking great.” These words were much lower, so much so that probably only Tessa could hear.. The little thief glared pointedly at Raul then, the brief emotion of surprise quickly falling from her face to be replaced with irritation.

Though it would one more return to wonder at the beginnings of the disappearance of the maze, blue eyes gazing around in confusion. “What the..” No witty comment, despite being thought of briefly, could leave her mouth. She was far too engrossed in the transparency of the leaves, the field that they remained on slowly becoming visible. It was as though someone had selected the layer of the bushes in photoshop and was slowly lowering the opacity until it was no longer visible..

But was this another trick? Bandit’s hand moved slowly to her boot, beginning to take out the accompanying dagger. Such a small weapon, but effective if necessary… Should they run through the branches and escape while they were transparent? Would being transparent make them partially passable, with only some resistance? If her legs had been working, Bandit would have tested this. Her legs.. Her legs! The blood had begun to drip down Tessa’s hand, and since they stood still, a pool had begun to form underneath Bandit. She was bleeding out, and time was of the essence.. Would Raul realize this?

Greed – The Masquerade Ball Maze

The Four Queens

Bandit would know this scene well. It was exactly the same one that had been played out in the agency where Raul and Bandit first met. He had used the card trick to trap her since she had tried to run from his clutches. The warlock set her onto a path that led her to another world, and be his slave. The only thing he didn’t count on was the fact that she had a friend that had watched over her. A certain black cat. A cat that had followed the Bandit everywhere she went. Another that had been cursed by the evil Raul. But the next series of events were going to be so out of this world, that it would leave all gasping in wonder. You see, the magic that brought the maze across from the realm of the Fallen mansion had also opened up doorways that before were never imagined possible. And so, with that same magic being pulled away with the Death of Lydia, those same doorways were opening again. Only this time as the maze appeared to be going back, along with the terrified Giant, another was slipping in. The leaves and branches of the maze were flickering on and off as the pull of magical power was lessening.

Raul looked as shocked as the others by what was happening. Bandit might have thought that this was one of his tricks, but it was clear by the look on his face that he had absolutely no clue at all. As the Queens danced and chanted, he snarled and raised his hand in an angered swipe, that saw the four Queens turn back into playing cards and fly back into his hands.

“I’M NOT THE ONE DOING THIS!” He roared in anger, spinning on his heel as he tried to think. It was in response to Bandit’s accusation. Her voice powered by the realization that she was facing the same game. Though the Warlock had just called off his own attack dogs. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a black cat. Unlike the maze, it was not fading in and out. It was as real as everyone else was. But as it approached, it started to alter and change….it changed into….Habib. The same slave that had helped Bandit in the land beyond the mirror.

The only thing was that he suddenly roared at Raul as great black wings exploded out of his back.

He was no simple slave….nor was he really a cat. With dark skin and eyes, he was truly a magnificent sight. He marched right up to Raul and stood with his face inches from Raul’s.

“The Princess of Greed is dead. Her hold over all things magical, is gone. The maze will leave Hell and return to it’s rightful place.” He spoke with a heavy Arabian accent, and you could see that he was far more powerful than Raul ever was. Raul was about to snap something foul at the dark one before him, but before he could Habib’s eyes fell upon the pool of blood that was at Bandit’s feet. It was clear to him, that the girl was bleeding out. Oh, if you could see the anger, the fury in the dark creature’s eyes. They flashed back at the hapless Warlock, as he simply pushed him out of the way. Crossing the ground and with the simple wave of his hand, he had the boys step aside. Habib came right up to Tessa and then he made a very noble bow.

“She is dying. Only I can save her.” Habib looked to Bandit, his face surely recognizable, but not his current form. “Let me take her to where she will be safe and I may heal her.”

“NO!….SHE IS MINE!” Raul roared, overhearing Habib’s words. He was not about to give Bandit up without a fight. Habib went to scoop the girl easily out of Tessa’s arms, as he looked back over his shoulder at the enraged Warlock.

“She goes with you, she dies. What you want with a corpse, hmm? Haven’t you hurt her enough?!” There was a true menace in his voice as he went to cradle Bandit to his chest. It was then that Raul made his terrible threat be known.

“If you don’t hand her over….that witch will never see Scar again.” To add to this thread, he said. “Without Scar’s hat….they..” He pointed to Tessa and Mariela’s brothers…“they…can’t go home.” Raul knew of a way to fix the mirror, and return Scar to his beloved little Witch…but the price was a great one. Bandit.

Time was now of the essence. Habib growled fiercely at the Warlock, as the maze continued to fizzle and flicker. It was then that Habib roared for Mariela to hear.

“YOU ARE THE POWER, MARIELA!!!…….YOU HAD IT ALL ALONG!!!. YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!!! REPAIR THE BROKEN MIRROR WITH THE SHARD!!!….BRING THE MAZE BACK!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!”

The Maze of Greed – Part Thirteen : SS.

It was only a matter of time before Lydia, the Princess of Greed herself, caught up with Mariela and her family.  Would the young witch finally realize that her powers were much greater than the evil demon’s?

Scene setting : The Maze of Greed – Seven sins series.

Co-written with Dessy.

Dessy:  The hat shook and quivered in her hand, and before Mariela could react the hat fell on the ground. Sparks and electricity poured out of the hat, and then a large cloud appeared. Soon enough, she saw a… surprisingly handsome… and happy Scar appear. He seemed to be looking around, before looking at her. Mariela gave him a smile, before he jumped up and ran in her direction. Before she knew it, her shoulders were grabbed and he had pulled her in for a hug.

https://i2.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/56b6ebd56289688b02924c18fd6cefb0/tumblr_inline_n1tjr0jwGt1rg5w1l.gif

Mariela laughed, wrapping her arms around him in a hug as he spoke with joy. “Yes, I’m alive.” she spoke. “And I missed you too, Scar.” she then said. Once Scar realized they were still in the maze, he pulled away and began questioning her, then looking to her brothers. “Well, we were, but then-” Sean said, until Mariela held up her hand to stop him. “We were heading there, but unfortunately we had to stop because-“ she spoke, before she got interuppted by Scar’s outburst about Lydia being in the maze, following his gaze towards the green sky.

“That’s exactly why we had to stop and call you.” Mariela then spoke, nodding her head. She watched Scar put the hat on, and couldn’t help but give a sweet laugh at his happy sigh. “Glad to have you back, Scar.” she spoke. “Yes. We need to find the mirror.” Tessa spoke up with a nod, readjusting Bandit in her arms.

“Wait. Anyone see that?”

Mariela turned her head to follow Scar’s eyes, her brows narrowing in confusion. “Uh… no…” she said, turning back to look at Scar with that same confused look like he was nuts. But, then she looked again and saw the rabbit, and she had an even more confused look, but didn’t have time to act on it before Scar grabbed her hand and began running in that direction, causing a “woah” and a surprised gasp to escape her lips.

She looked over at her brothers and Tessa, gesturing for them to follow, and after they ran behind them, she turned back to Scar, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion and worry. “Scar… are you positive we should be following this rabbit? What if it’s one of Lydia’s tricks?” she asked, but followed anyways, half being pulled by Scar and half running on her own.

The small bundle of white fluff in the plaid waist coat was bouncing well ahead of the group. His fluffy little tail twitching and flitting back and forth. The sound of the fob watch was quite loud, and this was most unusual for such a small time piece. “I’m late…I’m late.” He cried, as he scampered through the maze. Bouncing with a lot of energy for such a rabbit. He was clearly not of this world, not Hell…but most likely of the maze. OR he was somehow connected to the mirror. That had to be it.

Mariela didn’t like this at all. Following a small white rabbit to God knows where? She tried to pull Scar up and beg him as to why they should follow the rabbit as it might be one of Lydia’s tricks. Being yanked into place, Scar took both of Mariela’s hands and stared directly into her eyes.

“When was the last time you saw a rabbit in Hell, hmm? Aside from the kind that you would hunt in the forest. That rabbit,” Scar pointed to the direction that the rabbit had gone. “was talking in common, and wore a waist coat. Ever heard a rabbit do that before? Hmm?” The Alp was trying to make her see reason. “Remember that anything that fanciful that could almost be story like came from somewhere. Imagination is a powerful thing. You ever stopped to wonder how we all came to be. You…and Lydia brought me out of a book.” This was something that he hoped might make Mariela get what he was trying to say. “What if…this maze was from another book. Someone’s imagination. It is entirely possible.” The more he spoke however, the greater distance that the rabbit was making.

They were losing precious time, and Scar started off again – hopefully with everyone including Bandit behind them.

Three more turns of the hedge and there it was. The mirror. The rabbit was standing just shy of it, but here was the thing. The rabbit had no reflection, though the mirror showed the same hedge in behind it. As it turned to see the oncoming group, it flicked it’s little tail and jumped into the mirror, then only to reappear on the other side, where it scampered away down the maze within.

Scar came to a screeching halt, panting heavily as he watched the rabbit continue to run on. The alp looked at the mirror and then recognized the roses that were in the bushes on the other side.

“That bitch.” Scar muttered. He recognized the maze on the other side of the mirror. It was all starting to make perfect sense now. He stopped and turned to the others.

“I know who she is….”

Did he mean Lydia….or the other one in the mirror?

“She’s the Queen of Hearts.”

“Right again….Scar.”

That voice coming from within the mirror, was none other than….The Queen of Hearts herself. And the thing that was most shocking, she looked exactly like Lydia. “Aren’t you coming to join me for tea….Hatter?” In the mirror, the Queen was standing with her card guards, and the white rabbit. It was like they were all waiting for them, the Queen grinning like a fool. She called him the Hatter, which is not what Scar was in this world. He was an alp…a demon of nightmares with a magic hat. In Wonderland however….he was someone else….everyone was.

Charging around the corner though….was Lydia and Raul.

“Ahahahahaha. FOUND YOU ALL!” Lydia screamed, as Raul looked past her to see Bandit being carried. The Princess of Greed saw that the opposite of her, the Queen of Hearts was waiting on the other side of the mirror.

“Don’t worry, Queenie. These ones are all…MINE!”

She raised her hands as they crackled and sparked with the green balls of energy as she prepared to launch an attack on Mariela and her friend Tessa.

Mariela followed Scar as she heard the rabbit shout about being late. Late to what? The young witch was confused. Mariela had eventually stopped in her tracks, yanking Scar’s hand to get him to stop. Her brothers and Tessa stopped when they did. “Scar.” she said, and Scar grabbed both of her hands in his and then began speaking. As Scar talked, she shook her head to all of the questions. He had a point… maybe this rabbit wasn’t a trick. But, honestly, Mariela didn’t know. Soon enough, Scar had took off again and Mariela followed, the others following as well.

Soon enough they got to the mirror, and they had stopped. She tilted her head at the rabbit, seeing it had no reflection. The rabbit turned to face them… and then jumped in the mirror. This caused Mariela to widen her eyes in shock, looking at Scar after the rabbit jumped in the mirror. He began speaking and Mariela tilted her head, looking at him with a confused expression. “What do you mean “you know her”?

https://i0.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzwtb9VuGq1r4kfic.gif

Mariela didn’t say anymore as a voice came from the mirror. She narrowed her eyes at this “Queen of Hearts”… she looked exactly like Lydia. The Queen of Hearts called Scar “Hatter”, and this made Mariela’s face turn into confusion. She didn’t understand. That didn’t last long as she heard Lydia’s voice screaming from around a corner.

“Ahahahahaha. FOUND YOU ALL!”

https://i1.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzwntd1S1Z1r4kfic.gif
Mariela whipped around, spotting Lydia and Raul. Her eyes went to Raul, then back to Bandit. Lydia spoke to the Queen, then held up her hands as they sparked green balls of energy. Mariela turned her head to look at Tessa. “Take Bandit and run. Now!” she shouted, and Tessa turned and began running. Once Tessa was out of sight, Mariela held her hand out towards where Tessa ran off too, and a wall of vines began appearing, blocking the path. She did the same thing to any open pathways. They weren’t going to be leaving.

Mariela dropped her hand and turned back towards Lydia. “Nice to see you again, Lydia.” she spoke… coldly. Her brothers moved to stand behind her, and they simply looked at each other, but did nothing more except for shielding their sister. The shield only lasted a few minutes… but it was good enough.

The Maze of Greed – Part Eleven : SS.

Danger is lurking around every corner of the maze.  Lydia and her warlock, Raul are going to be reunited in the hunt for Mariela and Bandit.  Scar, is still trapped in the hat, but he has sent the young witch’s family to her rescue.  While all this goes on, a dark figure watches over all.  Death…is coming.

Scene setting : The Maze of Greed – Seven Sins series.

Co-written with Dessy, Phyln, and Artie.

Artie:  Bandit helped to keep herself up in Mariela’s arms, her lips pursing slightly at the sounds of hellhounds. Amazing how Lydia got some at her disposal, Lucifer kept them to himself most days. Though, with her obtaining of them Bandit could only assume that they weren’t really the top-notch of his elite squad. “Listen, man, I don’t really know you but those things are literally impossible to kill. You can knock them out but that’s next to impossible. I think our best bet here is to make a run for it, or we’re all going to be fucked.” She looked at Douglas, not quite taking in the irony of her words in that she couldn’t run, much less move her legs at all. She leaned into Mariela yet still felt guilty for having the other person carry her – clearly, Bandit didn’t like relying on others. “And if you even want to see Quinn again, I’m sure you don’t want it to be when she sees your soul thrashing about in the river. That place ain’t for the faint of hearted.

Razorbackwriter:  Screaming protests coming from behind him went virtually unheard as the Giant started to run into the direction of where the hell hound roars were coming from. When the chips were down, Duggie was a man of action, not words. This would leave Mariela left behind holding onto Bandit. She’d been given the order to run by the Giant, as he tried to stave off the oncoming attack forces of Lydia. Pounding footfalls raged along the inside of the maze, while a few turns away, the hell-hounds of Greed were getting closer. Their craving for blood so great, having been near starved by the evil Demoness of Greed and Ambition.

As Lydia strolled along behind her trusted dogs of war, there came a spluttering from a nearby hedge wall. It was enough to have the Demoness stop in her tracks. A cloud of leaves spewed out of the hedge covered in spittle, followed by the angry snarl of one very annoyed warlock. Lydia of course, recognized the voice and then stuck her hand into the hedge, only to drag Raul out by his collar. When his head appeared, Lydia leaned down and stared him in the eyes.

“You let yourself get caught in the bushes?!”

“When were you going to tell me that a giant lurked in this maze?” He replied just as angrily. A huge egg like bump on his head. It still smarted. “Giant? What giant?” This was certainly news to her. Lydia brought the maze over from the Fallen mansion. She had no idea that someone was in it. Growling, she gave a good hearty tug of Raul’s collar and the rest of him fell free of the hedge’s grasp. He lay on the ground at her feet, panting heavily, but not before looking up at her. She was wearing a dress and tight pants that were more for hunting. So…she decided to come down off her pedestal and join into the game. The warlock pushed himself up to standing, brushing the leaves off his coat, when Lydia grabbed a fist full of his shirt and snarled at him.

https://i0.wp.com/static.tumblr.com/ca8fd1551f6ed2b53b53160df4fd58d7/uaamzzz/kaCmtv2fk/tumblr_static_tumblr_mfg4lzpgtn1qlk7iko2_250.gif

“Don’t EVER disappear on me for the sake of another woman…again!…Do I make myself perfectly clear?” Lydia had a powerful grip, that was easy to see, and though the Warlock tried to pull back he found that she was a lot stronger than she looked.

He was about to answer, when he heard the barking and snarling of the hell hounds that Lydia had released into the maze. “There’s hell hounds in this thing?!” It was the one beast of hell he particularly didn’t care for. They were unpredictable, and savage in their attacks. Rarely paying any attention to their masters, or Mistresses as the case may be. Lydia gave a little shrug, not really caring for his opinion on her actions.

All Raul knew was that his Bandit was in the maze with these hell dogs, and in her state from his recollection, she was not going to possibly outrun the Hell hounds. For once in the evil Warlock’s life, he didn’t want Lydia to win.

“Come along then, my pet and see the end of that cheeky little witch and her babbling alp now!” Skirts swishing as she headed off after her hell hounds, Raul marched along silently behind her. Lydia didn’t know that Scar was no longer in the maze.

Far off in the maze, the first of the hell hounds rounded the corner and leapt up at the Giant, who swung his battle axe with a marksman’s like precision. ~WHACK!~

“Cop that ya stinkin’ mongrel!”

~RB~

Dessy:  Mariela continued holding Bandit with ease, only adjusting slightly so she could switch the hat to her other hand. She looked down as Bandit spoke, giving a nod of agreement.“I agree with Bandit. I don’t know much about Hellhounds, but I know Lydia. And if Hellhounds are as bad as described, and Lydia has them – we need to run.” she spoke. Bandit mentioned something about his soul thrashing in a river, but the Giant wasn’t listening. Next thing the girls knew, the giant was running towards the Hellhounds, and he was screaming for them to run. “Well… Looks like it’s just us.”Mariela said simply.

But she didn’t argue. “Hold on tight.” she said, then turned around and began running for it. As they ran, they could hear the Giant and his giant axe being smashed on the Hellhounds. But Mariela didn’t turn around – she had a feeling Lydia was searching for her specifically, since the Hellhounds showed up, but no Lydia. She kind of already figured she’d have to fght Lydia, but at the moment her main priority was getting Bandit to safety.

They made it far enough to where the Giant and the Hellhounds could no longer be heard. Mariela slowed down to a walk, walking over and placing Bandit on the ground somewhere, before catching her breathe. “We’re safe, for now. Just give me a second.” she said, looking down at Bandit. She then paused to look around the maze, and narrowed her eyes as if in thought. “I wonder if…” she started, but trailed off. “Here, watch this.” she told Bandit, placing Scar’s hat beside her. She then walked over to a hedge that was covered in vines, tilting her head. She held out one hand, before picking her other one up slowly and beginning to move it. She moved it forward then moved it back, as if she was pulling the vine. The vine moved off of the wall, following the movement of her hand. She moved her hand to the right, and the vine followed. Mariela then moved her hand over her head, moving it in a circle. The vine began to wrap it’s self around a nearby statue.

“It works!” Mariela said with a smile, stopping the hand above her head, causing the vine to stop moving. She then closed her held out hand, before moving both hands down. “That makes things easier.” she said with a nod, turning around to Bandit. She could control Earth and nature – and being in a maze that was full of plants, vines and nature – she had benefits. She smiled as she walked towards Bandit, kneeling down to pick her up again. But then she felt a strange, yet somewhat familiar energy from behind her. “Shit…” she mumbled, standing up and turning around. She suspected it to be Lydia – so she prepared herself. But that’s not who it was.

There was a light, and then a “pop” as three figures stood in front of Mariela and Bandit. “Marie, stop! It’s me. It’s Tessa.”the female of the group spoke, letting go of the collar they were holding and stepping forward. “I’m here with your brothers… Sam and Sean.” she gestured to them, both stepping forward. Sean held the collar, but they all stared at Mariela.

“What?” Mariela asked, blinking in a bit of confusion. But when they stepped forward and she saw their faces, she widened her eyes before running toward them and getting welcomed in a group hug. “Oh my god!” she said when she pulled away. “Wow! Tessa, you’re as beautiful as ever. And Sam and Sean… you two have grown so much!” she spoke to each of them. “What are you doing here?”

“Scar sent us here. His hat sent him down to Earth, and thanks to the help of a spell in one of your journals we were able to save, he managed to send us back.” Sam spoke, nodding to his brother. “He said you needed help with someone named Lydia after we talked to him in the forest. We didn’t believe him for a second.” Sean spoke. “So Scar is alive…” she spoke, turning around to look at Bandit. “That’s why he wanted us to jump into the hat! It’d send us back to Earth where he knew we’d be safe.” she spoke, before turning back around. “Where is Scar?”

“He couldn’t come with us. But he said if you still have his hat, just call his name into it to summon him.” Tessa said, and Mariela turned around and gestured to the hat. “I do have that hat.” she said. “Good… but we don’t have time for that right now. We have to move.” she said, but paused. “Wait…” she said, taking the amulet off and handing it to Mariela. “That survived the fire. I had to wear it to be brought here… plus, I figured you’d need it to have full control of your powers.” Tessa spoke, and Mariela took the amulet. She looked it over, before slipping it around her neck. The red amulet glowed for a second after she put it on, as did Mariela’s green eyes. She nodded her head, before turning around to Bandit. “I know you’re confused… but I’ll explain later. It’s a long story.” she said, kneeling down and picking Bandit up.

“Who’s she?” Sean asked. “This is Bandit. We’re running from the same person. Me and Scar found her in the maze bruised and bleeding, and I tried to heal her. Unfortunately, something went wrong with my magic and she became paralyzed. So she can’t feel her legs.” Mariela said, receiving a nod from them. “There’s one other in the maze – a giant named Douglas. He was holding back the Hellhounds so we could run off. No idea how he got here.” she said.

“Enough talk. Let’s move!” Tessa said, running over to grab Scar’s hat. She then began running forwards, leading the way. Mariela was next to her with Bandit with her two brothers running behind – it was as if they were guarding her.

Phyln:  The group parted ways in front of him the giant dashing right past blinded by his own agenda heading back the way Solomon had come. his head turned slowly as he kept his eyes on the giant until he was out of sight and the sound of combat echoed back. his head snapped back towards the two girls as the quickly headed off the other direction, this made his decision easier pivoting on his heel he followed the direction of the giant. the other two don’t seem to be in any immediate danger my best bet is to head to the area of conflict the clacking of his boots and the methodic tick of his cane on the ground was only overshadowed by the sound of battle gradually growing louder as he approached. With a swift movement he changed his grasp on his cane now holding it like a sword as he covered the last few meters and the giant came into view. the sight ahead of him caught him off guard while the giant alone was quiet a surprising sight the hellhounds were an unwelcome one. such rapid feral beast he could easily get dragged into this. With a sigh he finished his approach and remained a small distance away not close enough for the giant to consider him hostile but still maintaining a good view and with any luck staying out of the way of the hounds. unsure of how they would fair against each other he decided that regardless of the victor of the battle he watched he would either have a giants soul or that of a few hounds.

Artie:  Bandit held onto the running Mariela, wincing with each bumpy step. She knew that Mariela was trying to be careful, but it wasn’t pleasant. Walking, she had been able to deal with. Running.. each step of the little witch sent Bandit’s wounds to be on fire, the injuries fixed externally but merely patched together hastily internally. As she was set down, the thief breathed relief and focused on Mariela’s powers. Had she been unaccustomed to such shows, perhaps she would have gazed in wonder, let out a “wow” or “whoa.” Alas, Raul’s more intensive magics only made Bandit gaze with apprehension, her brow raising. “You’re stuck inside a giant maze and you only remember now that you have powers over plants?”

https://i2.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/34470358638a7d8e45cbda4f6a65e539/tumblr_inline_mhit0zPRfl1qz4rgp.gif

A sigh made her tilt her head back and close her eyes, hand resting limply on the ground. As Mariela finished and leaned over her, Bandit would suddenly open her eyes and blink in surprise. “Shit..

Imagine an invitation to a family reunion of a roommate, but it wasn’t your family to begin with and your roommate who you’d just met invited you to come. Well, you may possibly be involved with your roommate in the future, so you don’t want to get off on the wrong foot and just say ‘no,’ do you? Yet at the same time as they exchange in their ‘hello’s you feel an profound urge to simply run away, but alas you cannot, because you’ve been forced into this situation to begin with. This was exactly the feeling that Bandit had, intensifying the curses in her head that she held for Raul. Blast him! Blast him to bits! Though, this Mariela character had a good heart, and Bandit suddenly found herself wishing to be more like her. Though, in her core Bandit was, it had just not been realized. Care for someone such as Riley did not come from a thief like Bandit, yet it was there. Somehow, she could be turned into the caring individual that, perhaps, living a normal life would have made her be.

“Can’t you just call the guy while we walk? You can call someone and run at the same time, can’t you?” Bandit wasn’t trying to be sarcastic, just bring light on the situation. She figured that right now, it would be best to have all the people on their side as necessary… especially with hellhounds on the loose. “Why don’t you use your powers and just part all the hedges? There’s got to be an exit, or you can make one, can’t you?” She grunted as Mariela ran, taking the brunt of the movements.

The little thief could only feel pain, but boy, at least it was something.

Douglas the Giant was fighting valiantly up ahead in the maze. One…two…three hell hounds were attacking one after the other, as the might giant swung his battle axe at them much like a cricketer swings a bat. For each hell hound he hit, another seemed to take his place. One lunged at the giant’s left arm and the Giant twisted his waist and swung the bastard hound off and into the waiting bushes. The hell hound landed a good ten feet away, before coming to its senses and rising once more. These dogs seemed to be unstoppable, and as much as Douglas tried to keep them at bay, it was soon going to be a lost battle. He was trying to give the witch and her disabled companion time in which to make a getaway, or at least find the center of the labyrinth and end their nightmare.

As he swung at yet another barking hound, he could hear the dark cackle of the arrival of the Mistress of the Hounds of Greed. The Princess bitch herself, Lydia – now rounded the corner, and when the Giant clapped eyes on her, he snorted through his huge nostrils and gave her dog one extra powerful whack. This was enough to send the hell hound flying over the nearest hedge wall – yelping as it did so.

“NO!” Lydia roared, raising up her hand as the dark green energy within her was starting to build out of her fury. Raul came around the corner shortly there after and saw the battered giant facing off against Lydia.

“That’s him! The one that knocked me into the bushes.”

“AYE! AND I DIDN’T HIT YA HARD ENOUGH!”

The giant gripped his battle axe with a white knuckled intensity as he stared the two down. “I’m not afraid of you two. Yer the bitch that put this maze here. Bet ya didn’t think I was here, did ya?” Douglas spat down at the ground at her feet, and sneered. “I seen better heads on a mug of beer, Ya ugly trollop!”

~gasp!~ Did the Giant really say that? Lydia brought her free hand up to her face, absolutely horrified that he would make a crack about her new face. Raul, who was standing in behind tried very hard to suppress a chuckle, since the idea of having a crack at Lydia’s appearance was kinda funny.

“You might want to keep that trap of yours shut, unless you want the Princess here to do something nasty.”

“I AIN’T TAKING ORDERS FROM YOU, YA DICKLESS TWAT!”

Douglas roared again as he swatted away yet another hell hound that lunged at him, this time hitting so hard that all you could see was the hell hounds arse sticking out of the hedge.

“This the best you got, bitch! I lived with a freakin’ hell hound. One a darn sight better than your show dogs.”

Raul brought his hands up, as though he had seen enough as the hair on the back of Lydia’s neck bristled. The powerful green ball was glowering in her hand, and it matched the fury with the one on her face. Her hell hounds were coming off second best to the Giant’s fury and powerful swings. But what he didn’t count on, was the Princess’s power. Gritting her teeth in anger, she released the massive green ball of energy at the Giant, which hit him hard in the chest. Douglas staggered backwards as he jerked and spasmed violently. She continued to warp and bend the energy till it wound its’ way all around Douglas, who now had one band of green light wrapped tight around his neck. It was slowly lifting him off the ground.

Watching from in behind, Raul tuttered and folded his arms.

“I did try to warn you, mate.”

The Giant dropped his battle axe and was clutching at the green energy ringlet around his neck, gasping and spluttering violently, as his legs kicked out in desperation. His eyes were bulging practically out of his head, it was a poor way to see the giant fare against the might of Lydia. Lydia threw her hand far right and this sent Douglas spinning up and well over the hedge wall….far out of sight. Only after a good ten seconds did you hear the earth shuddering crash of his body hitting the earth. The tremor was enough to be felt at least a kilometer away. Reigning in her power, Lydia snarled and pushed up her sleeves.

“One down…..two to go!”

The Princess started to march onward, stepping over the bodies of her fallen hell hounds. Raul let out a sigh and followed along behind. Lydia had no idea that there were more in the maze, than just the alp and the witch. She didn’t count Bandit, as she knew nothing of her.
