Kingdom of Alteria : Nautical District  (Anime Adventure Quest)

https://i1.wp.com/i60.tinypic.com/2rgp548.jpg
The land closest to the sea and the area in which the sea trading is most frequent. When people come to this land they could practically smell the ocean. The land here is actually hovering over the ocean unlike the rest of the land. The section here is mainly decorated with sky blue themes and the largest most prominent building here is owned by the Leader of Sea trade and nicknamed God of the Sea . Be careful in approaching the building ,the company may not be forgiving.

Matt:

Akio was slipping through the streets of the Nautical district, his crimson eyes flowing over the buildings, people, and animals in the area. His black kimono swept under and behind him as he moved. There were slight shuffles with every movement, but other than that he was completely silent. His ears were clearly visible, but his tails were somewhat tucked under his kimono. Most of the fur that could be seen on his tails were black, but the tips had a white wisps to them. The hair on his head, and ears was black as well. The only other color to him for real was the deep crimson lining that flowed over his garb, as well as the red in his eyes. In his mind he had a certain trail of thought as to where he was going. To most it wouldn’t make any sense, but he knew.

“I’ll see if she is there. If not then i will look elsewhere.”

His thoughts flowed from his thin lips, but they were little more than a whisper. Not so for people around him to remain oblivious to his words, but simply for this is how he spoke most times. His voice was a calming one, despite his very short fuse that hid itself behind his pillowed words. In mere moments he could go from being soft, calm, and respectful to the most fouled mouth, violent, and rude person one might come across. It was a strange combination indeed.

Akio had been staying within the nautical district for a few days now, only recently having come to the city from his journey that held so many dark secrets, and memories. What had brought him out now was of a rumor of a furry convention, but when he arrived it turned out that the people that he had gotten the information from was unreliable when it came to accuracy. Despite this Akio had found a favorite place to stay while here. This was where he was headed now.

The kitsune had been walking for a good thirty minutes before he arrived at a small patch of tall bushes. Near the base was a small gap between the adjacent roots. It was just big enough for a small child, but there was noway he could have fit through there. This thought made a small, almost invisible smirk to slid over his lips. Once the streets had cleared of people Akio check his surroundings. There was no one around, or near as far as he could tell. With a gleam in his eyes his body was wrapped in a small bout of a deep sapphire colored flame. It completely enveloped him, but was gone as quick as it had come.

The fires had seemed to take the male with them, leaving a small, black, six-tailed fox in his wake. Its eyes were burning red, his ears were perked up, and his tails were whipping about him. Under its eyes, and scoring its back were odd archaic symbols that showed themselves in a deep crimson along the foxes fur. This was Akio’s favorite form to take. It let him move around with ease, and find nice high places to sleep when he felt the need. For now though he was using it to tuck himself between the bushes. When he came out upon the other side there was a small tunnel of stone. It seemed to lead through a building, and had been meant to be found by children. Sort of a secret hide away. Akio quickly followed the path, his lithe body flowing around the turns, and turning with the passage like poetry.

Within minutes Akio found himself in a small clearing with small trees lining the edge of the clearing. They were each bending inwards, casting a cover over the small hollow. A small child may have been able to squat while in here, but if he returned to a humanoid form he would ruin the place. In the dead center of the hollow was a small stone that held a mirror on it. The light that was able to get through the branches and the leaves was reflected off the mirror, and cast all around to lighten the hiding area up for a certain number of hours a day. Akio looked up with his keen fox eyes, and saw people passing by what would seem like a bush to them. They were ignorant, stubborn, an had no idea the wonders one might find in the small joys in their lives.

It was then that a screen, sitting above a platform that led to the docks, had changed from its regular setting to a broadcast. The queen apparently had words of wisdom to speak to the lessers, or that was how he saw it at least. That was until he heard her message of the prison, and the prisoners. Most would be gasping, screaming, or passing out from fright, but Akio was smiling. Some may say animals cannot smile, but the small form of a fox he held was clearly beaming with a grin.

“This is perfect. She might be there. My sister. Kasumi.”

His thoughts ran through his head quickly, and then his body followed suit. He left the small hollow from the way he had came, and returned to the streets before anyone could tell what had happened. He then slipped into an ally, and shifted once more, returning to the look he had before. This time there was a large pitch black Nodachi blade hanging from the back of his kimono. The blade was light, and so put little to no weight on his clothes. This was the blade known as Korui Akuma.

Now that he was back in a human form he began making his way towards the docks, ready to find his sister. True he disliked her, but there was some unfinished business they had together. He hoped that she would show up to help these people so he may confront her. It could end up very interesting.

The Docks

– The Ship was docked just outside of the Nautical district ; located at the docks which of course meant that it was awaiting travelers to board. The ship had a embedded insignia of a Trident , the symbol of Atlantis Co. and it meant the company was showcasing their ships to be used for the voyage to Hellgate Prison. They were going to assist the people who were willing and brave , all as a ploy to get approval by the people. The time was coming near, and it was almost time to board the ship to move onwards to the Island . Was everyone ready ? It would seem that it wasn’t so as the ship wasn’t entirely full with people . It would wait awhile longer before it was ready to depart . Shuzen himself stayed near the entrance of the ship welcoming people on , dressed extremely casual as if to assimilate with the other passengers. –

Shuzen :” Please make yourself comfortable , Enjoy your voyage. Hello ; welcome . There is beer and nourishment’s in the kitchen , feel free to go and take what you’d like . Remember to vote Shuzen as Nautical District’s Regional Mayor. ”

– Shuzen didn’t leave his post , he wanted to see all of the passengers who had came with his own eyes ; but did he have a real reason beyond political gain ? From a certain standpoint it would seem as if he was evaluating the members , seeing if they would survive or not . He kept spotting weak people , minus a man adorned in a white mechanical suit which had seemed to pique his interest so far. –

– Hio snuck on board , knowing there was no other ships going to the Island ; he had no other choice but to get on the way he had and stay out of sight hiding behind several crates . He stayed quiet and awaited for the ship to begin it’s voyage. Hio didn’t seem very happy either , his face displayed a annoyed expression as he could even sense the amount of noise coming from upstairs.-

Hio:” When will this ship take off ….”

Kasumi was smiling as she walked down the street, despite her only real reason for being in this place was the broadcast which had explained there was a massive prison riot occurring now; this disturbed her but she didn’t show it, she simply kept her upbeat attitude, practically skipping down the street as she thought with a small hum in her voice.

Kasumi had been in the furry convention, on its last day no less, with Grant at the time when it had come on; she had grown darker as she listened, not only because of the broadcast itself but also because of the fact it brought up bad memories. Probably worried Grant half to death, but of course she had dragged him along with her, only giving him the explanation that she had to go and even if he didn’t go she would alone. She knew what could happen if they got out, they could do things just as bad as if not worse than her own brother had done. She knew that, that’s why she had to go.

After a bit of running, Kasumi had let go of Grant’s hand, and she was hoping that the man was still with her. It’d be reckless to go in alone, but she knew that even then she had a duty to do this. There was a chance her brother was in there and if he was…… she didn’t want to think about that but… she would be the one to put him down if it was the case. She wasn’t worried about the fact he was technically stronger than her because of the difference in tails, that meant nothing to him.

Kasumi finally looked behind her after a couple minutes, smiling brightly behind her as she called out to Grant, but little did she know there was someone so close who could recognize the voice she released. After all… he had once gotten the same voice…

“Grant, you still there or did I leave you way behind!?”

“Yeah!” Grant sung out as he finally caught her up, practically out of breath. It was quite some day and with what Kasumi had planned, Grant was not going to miss this for the world. It had been at the final day of the furry convention that they learnt about the prison riot. All eyes glued to a massive wall of television screens that showed what had been happening. News reporters in special bullet proof vests, and with the words ‘PRESS” emblazoned on them spoke with a heightened sense of danger to alert all on Alterus of what was happening. Grant was a little worried about what it meant for them to get involved, but with his new found powers thanks to the Mask, it would be a great way to test it out. Sure, he had scared his apartment manager, Mrs Abecrombe half to death one night, when he came home to get his things, only to decide to put the mask on to play a prank. Needless to say his wild comic actions and the graffiti he wrote on the apartment building walls, had many in the building talking. He had written “Mrs Abecrombe has blue waffles” about two thousand times in various sizes and script type. It was going to take a month of sundays to get that all scrubbed off the walls.

But here on this day Kasumi and Grant had come down to get on the ship that would take them over to the prison. “Can I help it if you are like….super fast in those shoes?” Grant pointed down at the girl’s footwear and then beamed a smile at her. “I did manage to catch you up though. So where is this ship?’ Grant put his hand up like a visor, scouting to see which vessel they were meant to get on.

Dressed in jeans, a polo and carrying his trusty back pack, Grant looked more like a backpacker than a member of a fighting force. His hair was a lot better kept though and thankfully he had showered that morning. Taking out a packet of menthos, he took one out and popped it into his mouth. He then offered the packet to Kasumi with a shake of his wrist.

Hibu:

The room was silent; in fact it was pitch black. Shadows creaked along the walls with mischievous smirks. On the dark oak wood nightstand, a candle ignited displaying the only light source within the room. The room wasn’t abandoned for a feeble structure with kinky snow white hair was chained to the bed. Shackles were placed around her wrist, Scars ran along her skin leaving remembrance of miserable beatings. This would be the first in months she was getting a chance to sleep, but it wasn’t making much of a difference. The nightmares were becoming more violent with every sleep.
The female babbled her eyelashes with her vision weary with only darkness filling her pupils. Ordinarily this would confuse and freak one who happened to wake up in darkened abandoned room, but this was ordinary for her. The tight feeling of shackles being placed around her wrist of both left and right hand didn’t seemed to bother her. A bandage wrapped around her left eye due to punishment that happened in the past. It was frequent to have beating for she was slave, supposedly lower than livestock. This didn’t bother to be called such. Kasumi knew she was too afraid to do anything, she could have escape, but every time the thought came into her mind her body becomes paralyzed. Why? By many people Kasumi was said to have invisible chains set by Shuzen. He had applied so much fear into her, Kasumi was mentally was too afraid to even go against his wishes. When given the chance to escape, Kasumi can’t help, but too stay. Being token away by her parents at such a young age then being stripped in front of a plethora amount of dirty old man, made the female remember that little girl wail out in misery to her parents even though she knew they weren’t going to be saving her. “I wonder when master will be back” her voice was pathetic and soft as she spoken. The female attempted to stand, but the collar around her neck, which was chained to bedpost, which prevented her to stand a full length. Thus, the female sat herself back in her previous position. She was alone with nothing to do, her body was feeble and weary not strong enough to break neither the chains nor the shackles. Is this her life? Being chained to bedpost hardly feed, or even cared for? Her mother once told her that, “Everyone has meaning in this world even its small or big” she believed those words, but soon they faded from her faith. Where the watching? Looking down on their child from the “heavens” or were they looking at their daughter in disgrace. Did they care anymore? Probably not, the high elves were such an intelligent race; to be enslaved was disgraceful. She sighed with depression, moist droplets streamed down her numb red cheeks only to hit the floor. She didn’t want to live this life, but she lacked the courage to do anything about it. Every time her eyelid closed the picture of his unmerciful eyes came into mind, which would prevent her from sleeping for the rest of the night

“Good, and these shoes aren’t the reason I’m so fast buddy boy. Natural physical trait, me and my bro-…… never mind.”

Kasumi cut off in the middle of her sentence, possible for the fiftieth time over the past week of peace since the dungeon. It seemed, more and more lately too because of the fact Grant had been dealing with it all week since she started hanging around him. She never spoke of him without cutting off the sentence just for the very reason it was forbidden, not even counting how much pain it brought back. She hadn’t seen him for years and she knew very well why… she couldn’t forget after what had happened, especially with the damage she’d done herself in a fit of Feral Rage.

Kasumi shook her head and gave a small smile, reminiscing her father for a moment, as those thoughts typically brought on thoughts of him. According to what he’d told her, he had changed a lot in the years before she was born, he’d told her that he’d made mistakes that had torn his own life apart with his brother and father. Life could throw things at you that could bring you to your knees, but one thing he always made sure she remembered was that true strength is shown through the heart, the willingness to continue fighting even though you get hit, to defend those you care for no matter how much it hurts. It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can GET HIT and KEEP on trying. That’s the lesson he always taught her and she’d taken it to heart the day she unleashed her Flaming Persona.

Kasumi blinked as she heard Grant’s voice again and looked at him with a rose eyebrow, her crimson eyes landing on the Mentos packet that was in his hands; letting out a small chuckle she nodded, reaching out and taking the packet, popping one into her mouth before handing it back to him. It wasn’t like she needed it, she just liked the taste of it, and considering her tongue was more sensitive than his, she enjoyed it a lot however long it lasted. Well… that isn’t entirely accurate, one’s sense of smell is ninety percent of their sense of taste, so really the reason she tasted it more is because her nose was far stronger. Ah oh well. Kasumi spoke quietly as she pushed her power down, making it harder to tell that she was a lot stronger than many of the occupants of the boat now getting on.

“Thanks, come on, let’s get on the boat before it leaves. I have a bad feeling about this and… well, it’s better that people other humans are on board with this, no telling what we’ll encounter. I’m already having to suppress my power by a lot, never telling where an enemy may come from. I want then to underestimate me in the case that I have to fight on board as well as at the prison. Off chance of that happening, but still.”

Kasumi was serious, and finished talking several minutes before she even managed to get to Shuzen, but even so she gave him a cautious gaze, but a smile full of sass while she passed. She wasn’t senseless, she knew the look of someone analyzing others when she saw it… it was a look she’d seen before. She replied to Shuzen with a arrogant grin and cheeky tone in her voice, but one that held an underlying understanding. The only thing she could have done to give away she wasn’t as weak as many of the people getting on the boat.

“Hmm, sure thing~ If you make it worth it, Shuzen-san.~”

To share a small mint with friends is like something out of a TV commercial. It always has a way of bringing a smile to a weary face. Grant had a sweet tooth, just one of many things that Kasumi was yet to learn about our latest adventure hero. Though at the moment, he was acting more like a tourist than anything else. Dressed for comfort rather than style – cause really he was never was much of a fan of fashion, Grant looked so easy going. He’d had an interesting time since he had finished his first ever quest, but one thing he did notice in the time that he spent with the talkative kitsune, was that she never finished her sentences. Odd really. Like she was always leaving out the best part of the story for reasons that only made sense to her.

Grant just followed her anyways. He didn’t question her reasoning, nor try to pick apart what she had said – just taking it at face value.

They were now facing the vessel that was to take them across the waters to the Prison. Staring up at it, Grant let out a small whistle, but showed no fear at all. Not even when Kasumi expressed her feelings on it and they weren’t good ones. She complained that she was having to already suppress her powers a great deal at the present times, and with the boat being filled with nearly all humans, it was going to be a feat in itself to continue to keep her defenses up. One point she raised, was that the enemy could be anywhere, even on board the ship and she needed people to think that she was harmless. Underestimating her strength.

Talk about a good plan. By the looks of Grant, the only thing he would be hitting would be the ship’s on board menu.

Following Kasumi up the docked ship’s gang plank, he waved cheerfully at Shuzen.

Watch that late night movie they said…nothing bad will happened they say…idiot, idiots all of them!

The crimson eyed rabbit cursed inside his mind as using his C-Gear he began speeding across the streets of the Nautical District. Today a ship was leaving to a destination that basicly no one with an inch of sanity or common sense would come close to, unless they had some sort of sense of heroism or business there…and of course this bunny just needed to have both! He hated that, that sence that he had to do the right thing…it ruined his business, it ruined his day…and of course he had to be the only living fool to take a job to deliver a package there. Any sane and insane courier for that matter gave this job the finger, low pay, high danger…but no…he had to take it because they gave him puppy eyes and he would be going anyways

Gaia be damned Bolt…go faster!

Right now he was breaking every speeding limit in the whole district if not the whole planet while he was draining his C-Gear dry to just reach the docks that finally were at sight. At first the bunny was relieved, he had crossed half of the city at top speed basically almost crashing into every vehicle moving slower than 300 kilometres per hour, wich was most of them anyways if not all, and finally he was there. He was relieved to say the least…except for a simple trouble…he was heading for a crowd of people at more than 300 kilometres per hour with near to no space to use the breaks…curse this day…

Son of a…out of the way you fleabags!

Red yelled at the top of his lungs towards the people in his way as he basically pressed the breaks with all his might, trying to stop his Bolt and maneuver it so he wouldn’t end up running anyone over. And as expected he ended up with his face on the ground basically scratching all over the ground while the Gear was above him. Red basically cursed, in every language known to man, elf and Rabbit as he digged his fingers into the ground, leaving deep marks on it as finally he somehow ended up stopping before running over Mr. Shunzu. And he remained there for a few moments, as the C-Gear shifted into a board form and Red slowly got up from the ground

Stupid…ground…

Amazingly enough Red was actually intact, not even fur lost as he just survived what would have made him lose a hand and maybe break all his bones. Granted that right now his fur was a mess, everything hurt and he used some of his aura in the inside of his body to make sure everything remained on place…but still, if anyone had doubts about a Rabbit resistance right now they were silenced. Not to say the same about Red, whose blush was not so well hidden as he noticed the embarrassing entrance he made and the few eyes set on him

What?…never saw anyone having an accident?

Hostile as ever the bunny just began dusting himself off as he fixed his crimson colored vest and began to work on his pure white fur that not seemed to stand up in all angles. Hard to imagine that something as soft as him could actually be in such a bad mood and ready enough to punch someone into another galaxy if they brought up this incident on the way to Hellgate. Seriously thought, in what other way could thing be wrost than this? He believed he embarrassed himself in front of a crowd not to mention the fact that maybe he damaged his C-Gear in the process

At least it can’t get worse than this…

” Just put in your vote in the ship’s voting room , and the beer and chips are currently on the deck at this moment . We want to have the best things out in the open for others. And thank you for the compliment , it is quite appreciated ~ ”

– Being around a person like Shuzen was sure to have felt quite different then other people due to the fame he had . It wasn’t like he was the King or Queen but it was similar to meeting someone you’d rarely meet and it was altogether a special experience in it’s own right. His smile was big and his eyes slanted as he made a slightly appeased face to the responses he was given. He spoke to Grant and Kasumi simultaneously as they had approached as expected , he wouldn’t ignore the people entering the boat . Not long after they moved onto the ship a Bunny-humanoid being had appeared before him and the Blue Haired male stared curiously at him as he moved extremely fast. This person was peculiar in varying ways , but it was clear why he was here . He was heading to Hellgate too and Shuzen wouldn’t deny him passage , he was more then welcome to join the current people ready to embark. –

” Hello Sir, If you are heading to Hellgate you are more then welcome aboard this Ship , sponsored by Atlantis Co . Lodging is free as long as you vote for me ~”

The Captain and Xzilia.

A new fantasy story that is a collaborative with dreamcircle125 of wordpress.

RB:   The roar of the motorcycle powering down the city lane was heard from quite a distance away.  Punters for the local club were lined up for a night of dancing and drink.  It was Saturday night – not to mention a full moon was out.  The city streets shrouded in a light mist as fog rolled in from the wharves.  The blazing headlight of the motorcycle grew larger, illuminating the shivering club goers.  The tempretures of late had been just above freezing, as the continued snow fall had blanketed the city.
The harley pulled up just at the curb, in between two cars and the rider backed it in to park on an angle, the engine giving a last growl before he shut the engine off.  The rider slowly removed his helmet, to reveal a shock of black and silver hair, that fell down to cover his eyes from view.  Slowly, he peeled off his gloves and placed them both within the helmet, and then hooked the helmet upon the back of the bike.
Seeing the crowd moving to get inside, the rider made a mental count of the numbers.  It was clear for anyone to see, that the place was going to be packed. Kicking the foot stand, the rider swung his leg off the bike.  The bitter cold air pinched at his cheeks, and he buried his hands into his pockets, as he ventured towards the club entrance.  The coloured neon lights flashed, offering a shade of red to illuminate the rider’s face as he stood before the bouncers.  The man was known to them, and both stepped aside, to allow him entry.  This was one of his prime hunting grounds, and he was here to feed.
~

DC:   The low purrs of blazing hot engine rumbled in as eyes watched the newcomer enter into the crowd of people and bikes. The beings own bike rested between two cars and at the sight of him peeked the curiosity of a youthful killer. Her head cocked to the side with a smile as she stepped from the alley way and towards the throng of people. However, this was a club and entry was harder than stalking and hunting. Bulky bouncers blocked her way just ahead and, slipping through a patch of shadows, she peeled away her casual outfit and emerged completely different.
Long pale legs strode towards the two men, the click clack of velvet heels echoing on the walkway. Dresses where over rated for her style, she preferred short black shorts showing half her ass and a blood red thong peeking out from the top. A white tee, lettered with unknown texts, covers her C-cup breasts smoothly. As for a coat, she loved a black trench, always did her good when she needed to sleep elsewhere that wasn’t a bed.
Charming looks and an even more charming smile. She looked the part and it was time to act it. Arriving in front of the men her silken voice gave way to venomous words. “Hello. My you two men are quite the treasure for being just bouncers.”
~

RB:  The bouncers were from one of those south sea islands.  Dark tanned skin, broad shoulders…and thick necks.  Their eyes hidden behind dark shades as they stared down at the girl that was giving her all in trying to get in.  One even raised a shaped brow at her words, whilst the other let out a loud chuckle – which had his belly roll beneath his black silken shirt.  “Flattery huh?  You hear that Bubba, we be treasures.”  The other bouncer joined in with the banter and he too gave out a laugh that was louder than it needed to be.  “She must really want in, bro.”  The two men glanced at each other, while the crowd started to get restless in behind.  The girl had cut in the line.  Not seeing the harm in it, and due to the fact she was the kind of girl that had men constantly buying drinks, the bouncer on the right lifted the rope and waved the girl on through.
The first thing to see, once you passed through the doors, was the strobe lights that bounced off the walls, illuminating the darkness within.  The heavy pound and throbbing of the bass line was hypnotic, and the patrons were already hard at it on the dance floor.  The DJ was a favorite for a Saturday night, and many had come just to hear his tracks.  He was like a King, lording over his subjects.  Punching his fist out at the crowd in time to the beat.  High above, light sets rolled and rotated sending dazzling coloured beams in all directions.  Girls in white were illuminated by the black lights, which meant that in some ways their garments became almost see through.
Down at the far end of the bar, the biker was leaning with his back to the timber bar top.  A toothpick was rotating out past his lips, as he surveyed the pulsating throng of bodies.  So many to choose from, it was a virtual meat market.  The rider hadn’t bought a drink.  He didn’t need to.  What he wanted wasn’t exactly on tap.

DC:   “What a bunch of sarcastic men.” She hissed when she walked passed the mass of meat. Inside was musky, hot blooded bodies with pulses louder than the music itself. She bit her lower lip as calm brow eyes turned shadowy black. Grey tipped black hair fell down her back as she let it down. The air grew heavier and she strutted to the bar, leaning on her elbows and popping her rump out a bit.
“Barkeep! Give me a 11am Shot!” A drink to get the night started, 11 alcohols in a small glass boiled her blood as she threw back the beverage. Now asking for a weaker drink she turned and eyed a few hot bodies across the masses. Out of most of them they were more sober, and she enjoyed something that fought back.
However she was soon reminded why she made her way into this club as she spotted the male down the bar. Eyes back to brown she sighed and sat down in a stool and watched him for a while. She kept it at simple glances and shy looks, but eventually she just started staring for better information.
~

RB:  Dark eyes scanned the night crowd as it moved in a pulsating rhythm with that of the music.  Already Louis was picking out potentials for the night’s events.  A crease of a smile forming as his head nodded in time to the beat.  He wore a black t’shirt and matching jeans with boots, so there was nothing about him that appeared to be overdone or made him stand out in the crowd.  His eyes however, oh they were something.  Practically black in colour, the white so sharp as they peered at the crowd beneath his eyelids.  He was about to push off the bar, when he felt the gaze of another now settled upon him.  Unusual as that was, he turned his head towards a girl that had been downing shots at the other end.
Louis zeroed in on the girl.  Why?  Because he happened to notice the sudden change in the colour of her eyes.  Oh…..so he had competition.  No human could pull off a trick like that.  So instead of making his way to the dance floor as he had planned, Louis instead started to walk towards the girl.  Now, she had brown eyes, but he knew what he had seen.
Sidling up along side her, he stared straight ahead at the barkeep.
“Water.”
His fingers strummed the bar, while he leaned forward. He eventually turned his head towards her and said…
“You’re new here huh?”
~

DC:  He was dressed to hide, but there is always something different about a man with unknown power. She smirked as he scanned the room, bobbing his head to the music, and twirling his toothpick. When he spotted her she looked awya and had her finger rim a shot glass before she tossed it back. The liquid warmed her throat for a split second then faded and when she went to look back at the man she noticed he was moving towards her.
She turned her head and waited for him, continuing to rim her glass. She could smell his blood, musky with a rich spice. She heard him speak to her, something about being new, and she turned towards him with a small smile.
“Yes, a little. I don’t like entering into bars and clubs.” She nips the inside of her lip and smiles.

RB – Louis smirked when watching the girl reply to him with that way about her.  Sure, she was new alright.  Pinching the edge of his toothpick, Louis took it out from between his teeth and tossed it into an ashtray, before leaning heavier on the bar top.  The barkeep placed the frosted glass of water in front of Louis, before going back to serving the other thirsty patrons.  Drumming his fingers lightly upon the wooden top, it would be easy to see that his nails were filed almost into sharp points.  It was unusual for a man to have nails in this fashion, but he didn’t have them like that purely for cosmetic reasons.  Around his neck, he wore a strange pendant, that looked to be some sort of crest.  Like a coin that had been hand pressed a couple hundred years ago and the chain looked to be like lead.  Louis also had an arm guard that was made from braided leather and quite worn.  With his sort of windswept and interesting appeal, you could be forgiven for thinking he had stepped off the set of some pirate movie.  Except his clothing was a little more suited to the modern era.  His left cheek had a jagged scar that ran down just below his eye.  It had long time healed but its prominance certainly meant he was a man of action – not one of words.
The left corner of his lip twitched ever slightly as he started to push the glass around, almost absently.  Oh, he had already taken a good whiff of her scent and had seen the change in her eye colour, so you could say that he was on to her.
Without warning, he said.
“See anything you like?”
~
DC:   She grinned and turned around, resting her back on the bar. Hair fluttering again she pointed across the room casually to some now buzzed patrons in the somewhat VIP area.
“Those six over there, they have drank a bit more when I first seen them, but they still seem sweeter than the rest of the tedious ones.” Her brown eyes glowed as she turned to the man. The flashing lights gave her color, but the black lights made her glow as if she was standing naked under a full moon.
With this said she lowered her finger and turned back to the bar ordering another shot, looking at the man.
“So, why do you ask? Are they yours instead?” She didn’t know what he meant, but hey he seemed to be either amused or challenging. She liked a fight in her dinner, maybe even in bed, but with someone of equal strength that she don’t know she wouldn’t bother with that.
~
RB – Louis perked a brow, and happened to glance over his shoulder at the VIP area that the girl had just pointed out.  So she was on the prowl.  Nailed it.  By the way Louis reacted however, he didn’t seem to give a toss about the crowd that she had her eyes on.  If that was what she wanted to feed on….all the luck to her.  In fact, he might even want to see her technique in catching her prey.  Anything beat having to watch some of the people attempt to dance on the floor.  The more they drank, the worse they got.  You could tell that Louis was not the kind of man that tried to show off in front of others.  Not like half the blue shirts that were in the club.  Business executives on their night away from their families – trying to impress any girl with a good set of legs.  Louis had seen it all before.
Watching the girl turn back towards the bar, Louis stayed silent for a moment, only going back to stare straight ahead.  He gave off this really cold exterior, that may be considered to be intimidating at best.  It may make her wonder, or even second guess herself at his intent.  Again, he drummed his nails upon the timber top – but if she cared to listen he made the same pattern of sound…again…and again…and again.  It was almost hypnotic in a way.  What was his game?
“You’d know if they were mine.”  His voice had a gravel like quality to it.  He didn’t even look at her as he spoke.  He lifted a boot up onto the foot rail below, and she might hear an odd tink sound of metal from his heel.  Who was this guy?
~
DC – She raised a tempting eyebrow, was he trying to get her curious about him? He didn’t have to try so hard, she actually wanted to drink from his veins and learn all he is. However, more important things were at foot when her targeted food began to leave.
“Crap, what bad timing.” She curses as her clothing changes in a veil of shadows. She now wears tight black pants, tank, and weaponized combat boots all her casual wear. She looked at the man and took his glass of water, sipping it. “I hope we can meet again, I want to learn more about you.”
She follows the VIP group out the door with a flap of her coat.
~
RB-  At the precise moment that the girl started to change, Louis’s finger drumming came to an abrupt halt.  He didn’t even have to look behind him to see that the group that the girl had in her sights were on the move.  The vampire’s hand pushed the glass of water back as he stood up to full height. His chin rising as he did so, and this was when the girl would get a far better look at him.  Rugged, and with a light stubble across his chin and just up the sides of his cheek, like a shadow almost.  He had no intention of drinking the water that he ordered, all that was for show.
Giving a sideways glance towards Little Miss Combat, he wet his lips with his tongue and then you could see the small flash of one of his dog teeth.  She made her farewell speech and that she hoped to see him again.  He didn’t say a word.  Didn’t bat an eyelid, but those eyes did follow her as she left the club, going after the group from the VIP section.  As the door closed, he reached in his pocket and took out an old time piece.  He flipped up the silver hood and then grinned as he started to count down.
“5…4…3…2…”
In that moment he simply vanished in a blur of silver and black, leaving the barman looking bewildered.
The door was thrown open by some force….but what, before it flapped back and forth on it’s hinges.

DC – Raising the last kicking body into the air the terrified woman now faces death. Her friends lay scattered across the ground of a parking lot about a block away, why are humans so foolish. She screams with such force her voice becomes raspy before Xzilia’s teeth sink into the woman’s neck, blood bursting into her mouth and streaming down her chin. When she finishes she tears a chunk of her neck out and drops the body, gnawing on the flesh.
Shadows pour out of her body as she twirls a knife in a bored fashion. Cracking her neck she begins to walk away with a yawn.
“That was quite impressive, they actually managed to scratch me.” She chuckles and begins to head home, she was in need of a shower to wash the blood away.
~
RB-  Never…ever talk to yourself when someone could be watching you.  Someone was.  Oh yes, he had enjoyed the spectacular blood letting and frenzied style of this girl, but she appeared to be just a little cocky….and a whole lot of sloppy.  As she twirled her knife and let out a yawn, walking away from the scene of chaos and blood, a hand would reach around and clasp over her mouth, while the other hand seized her wrist and gripped it with a force that was so strong, it could easily snap bone like a twig.  That same musky scent that the girl had encountered within the bar, was now wafting all around her.  Louis had a funny way of saying hello.  His body pressed hard up against her back, and he bent his head enough so she could feel the slight stubble against her ear, as he whispered coarsely.
“I could do more…than scratch you, lovey.”
His nails started to sink into her flesh as he started to lick earlobe.  His breath was surprisingly cool, but his body….that felt like it was on fire.
~
DC – Eyed widened, she was suddenly restrained. She attempted to look behind her however HE wouldn’t let her. With her wrist being squeezed she dropped her knife, but with the other hand she gripped his arm and tried to pull it off her mouth. Then she felt his stubble and his oddly cool breath against her skin as he whispered his sweet words.
“Mmmph!”
Words muffled she trembled against his body as he licked her. It felt great, not the licking, but his body. The heat radiated from it and it felt toned as ever, at leased she hoped. However, she aslo didnt like being restrained either, therefore she began to free herself. Shadows began to wrap around the man and constricted him, eventually pulling him off and pinning him to the ground. She too now sit on him, straddling his waist.
“You dare to grab me from behind?”
~
RB-  What a nimble little minx this girl was turning out to be.  Some women actually like a bit of rough and tumble, but this girl – she didn’t like being silenced.  She fought with might and let out a loud sound that could have been a swear word, had it not been muffled by his hand.  But while she tried to say one thing, her body said another.  Oh the sweet talk a body makes when faced with danger.  The shiver like tremble that could be felt across his skin gave him all the more reason to want to taste the divine flesh of her being.  She smelt of a fresh kill, and that was just how he liked it.
With the clever use of her shadow manipulation, the girl wound him up in enough that would allow herself to be freed, and in doing so she managed to force him back and pin him to the ground.  He landed with a dull thud against the cement, but to his delight, the woman then straddled him, so he had a fantastic view of her well shaped breasts.
“I like a little back door, but…hey…I would never say no to a girl that liked to be on top.”
Louis had a wicked gleam to his eye, as he made a grab for her hips, and then swung her over so he was now on top of her and she was the one pinned to the ground beneath him.  Her hair splayed out open the concrete that framed her delicate face like it was a picture worth painting.
He gripped both her hands with one and held them over her head as he leered down just inches from her face.  He was panting like an animal, his dark eyes burrowing into hers with a ferocity that she may find shocking.
“This is better…”
~
DC:   She smirked flexing her hands, his grip was tight and the view she had was quite pleasant. She paused for a moment and tilted her head, eyes a hypnotic sea of black. Shadows swirled from the ground as she began to sink down.
“You want to play well lets play darling.” And she pulls him into the hole with her. The place they enter is black as night, and slowly they float to the ground with liquid to their ankles. She is bare, pale as the moon with not a cloth on her body as she raises her hands. She giggles as a weapon forms from the liquid below.
“I’m sorry, but you seemed persistent to play ‘Restrain Me’ therefore I brought you to a world of equality. MY true hunting grounds, the Shadow Whisper. You can have all the power you had in that weak world, but i have upgraded.” She begins striding around him dragging the forming weapon.
~

RB –  Slipping into the black hole that had been formed from the woman’s shadow manipulating ability, the vampire soon found himself floating to the ground which was covered in a sickly black substance.  In this reality, the woman is now without cloth – bare naked as the day she was born.  The vampire however, oh he was still wearing the same garb as he had in the club.  Everything.  From the pocket watch that he had pulled out of his pocket to check the time, to the special crest pendant that he wore on a special chain around his neck. THEN there was the leather gauntlet that seemed to be fashioned from leather.  But what kind of leather you may ask?  So many mysteries to the man that had yet to be unlocked by the woman, who so boldly now strutted around Louis like a tiger that was stalking her prey.  She didn’t get it yet, did she?
This woman, whose name remained unknown certainly felt that she had the upper hand in this world of her creation.  Spun from what was like miasma (miasma (Μίασμα, ancient Greek: “pollution”), a noxious form of “bad air”, also known as “night air”.), but if that were the case, he would feel a sense of nausea, or at least a foul smell to the air.  No this was definitely shadow manipulation at its finest.  An art that was known to few.  He had to admire her persistence at not wanting to be restrained.  Unlike many submissives that craved such attentions – especially in being tied up or bound.
Louis tugged lightly on the leather gauntlet that he had around his wrist, and it started to weave slowly up his arm, like a snake slithering.  Oh, sure.  She was full of surprises….but so was he.
Louis must have been at least seven hundred or so years old.  From a long line in Europe, he had lived, died, and seen so much that this world and the other had to offer.  To find a girl with this much talent, and able to draw him out of the mortal world was remarkable, to say the least.  Was he intimidated?  Hardly.  If anything, he was most amused.
The medallion around his neck shimmered as he started to golf clap her efforts.  She might have viewed this as him being chauvinist, but on the contrary – he was impressed.
“So, Miss.  Do you plan to use that?”  He gestured to the forming weapon, as watched her with eyes black as death.
~
DC – She noticed his sudden changes and debated her next decisions carefully, what would she do? She giggled playfully and licked her lips as the massive blood scythe finished being created.
“Oh no sweetness, this special weapon is for you. I may not scare you now but I will make you think twice before attempting to restrain me.” She lifts the scythe then spins it skillfully over her head before stopping, not wanting to feel like a stuck up show off. She gripped the shaft and walked it to the male, holding it out for him to take.
“Its an extra boost for your own, powers.” She giggles cutely and tilts her head, breasts bouncing softly.
She took the time to study his medallion closely and hummed some with a grin. Looking up at him she winked seductively and began to step backwards exposing herself to any and all attacks he has to show her.
~
RB-  Now, its one thing to be in the black world of this girl’s creation.  It’s another to start trusting a smiling cat that suddenly wants to offer you a gift when she is bouncing about all cutesy like.  Louis merely glanced down at the offered handled and smirked.
“Mother always said, never take candy from a stranger.”
He had a definite grin when he said this, as the girl was suddenly going from being defensive to being coy and cute like a mouse.  Did she really think he was that gullible?  Louis took a moment to see that she had been staring at his chest and of course the medallion that rested on a light cushion of chest hair.  She was humming and grinning.  Winking at him as though she was now on display for any nocturnal desires that he might have.  Sure, she had the body that could make a man turn to jelly, but Louis was made of harder stuff.
Dancing about now, with not a care in the world.  Like a big red target was painted on her rump, one that he wanted to smack, just to spite her.
“You’re a very naughty girl, lovey.”
His fingers reached up and he started to stroke the pendant gently, and as the girl stepped backwards she would hear his voice coming from in behind her….though…he was also standing in front of her.
“Like a ghost from the wind, he comes from the sea. And trembles the foe, like a storm on the lee.”
Her own black shadow formations begin to swirl like that of a rough and ready sea.  Raising up higher and then crashing down around the trio.  How was it he could be in two places at once, and why did he speak like a pirate?  She might just want to know, who she brought down into her world, for he was certainly not one of either….
~
DC:   Impressive, but unfazed. She had to admit that he had more power than she thought but she wasn’t using power or techniques. Dopplegangers was something simple, she could make millions with no effort. The only effort she would put in was physically resisting the urge to tear him to pieces in this world. That is what this place was made for, utter and complete killing.
She drew in a long deep breath and filled her lungs. Lacing her fingers together she closed her eyes and released the breath as two bloody pillars smashed into both bodies, one obliterated and the other being thrown to the side. Black blood shadows form as she opens her eyes and tilts her head forward looking at the man.
“Stop toying with me, show me something impressive or I’ll make you mine.” She sighed heavily wanting something other than show now. A fight, some action, something than watching him get all charged up.
Now she moved, but instead of taking a step her body became blood and she sunk into the liquid below and threw him into the air.
“Hurry up!”
Her fist slammed into his gut and she sent him back into the ground, blood covering his body as one article of clothing has now disappeared from his body.
~
RB-  The mouse did not enjoy the game that had been played, though she thought that she was in full control in this world of her making, she underestimated the man before…and behind her.  All the while that they had faced each other, the slithering leather of his gauntlet was moving up and over his arm, crossing underneath his fabric and winding around and around his body, while the medallion was actually moving within it’s centre.  It was very much alive.  The image was of a serpent that was wound around a sword.  The woman’s distaste for him was now evident in her facial expression, her patience wearing thin.  A crude grin was forming as she snarled and then inhaled deeply – a breath that would fill her lungs to capacity.  From this action, she brought her hands together as she closed her eyes and released two blood pillars. One to hit the man behind her, the other to hit the man in front.  Louis took the hit on full – it sent him spiriting across the void, while the man behind her simply dematerialized as if he was never there at all.
Louis rose slowly from the black shadow like sludge as she came at him, barking like a junk yard dog that she wanted to see something that would be impressive…something she could fight against.
“You want me to unzip my britches?”
Oh he hadn’t lost his sense of humor that was a fact.  Clearly enjoying this out pouring of emotion and hate.  The more she did it, the more he enjoyed it.  But then, she decided to take matters into her hands, going for a full body blow.  As she slammed her fist into his stomach, which was incredibly hard, unlike that of a human male, his right hand shot out and snatched at her wrist as they made contact.  Closed in quarter combat.  Oh how he had craved for this.  The strange leather that had been curling around his body was now able to be used effectively. Eyes and a head appeared for the gauntlet was actually a sinister serpent, and the fangs bore down upon her flesh  – sinking deep into her skin, while Louis grip only got stronger.  He was holding this..naked woman right up to his body and he growled down fiercely so she could not escape his words…
“With a bone cold glare, and a sneer on his lips; he has a cannon by his side…and a snake upon his wrist.”
His free hand snatched at her hair behind her head, and brought her in for a crushing kiss, to seal her fate. For the fair maiden….there would be no escape.
~
 ~
DC:   Vile man! He was able to catch her off guard with that wicked bracelet and a surprise kiss. Whatever he did she didn’t like it as a throbbing pain slithered up her arm  and her lips tingled. However, it wouldn’t render her useless, didn’t make a dent yet it seemed. When she was planted back on ground her arm was limp and she glared down at it distastefully, would she have to loose a limb to fight?
“What a good trick, maybe I can show you one of mine too…” Slowly the liquid boiled and rose around her as armor now formed. She would get serious now, and a bit playful, as she now wielded a bastard sword with a length of 5′ in total.
Gold and ruby red text, ancient to the royal vampires, was inscribed unto the sword as she walked like a puppet now. A cracked grin formed, small but unsettling to most. she advanced towards him as a coppy of herself rose from where she once stood, then another, and another,
“Show us what ya got, Louis…show us what we want!” Voices that happen in nightmares now echoed around him, giggles of dark happenings. There were only about fifty women surrounding him, but each had a different weapon. From bows, pikes, swords, spears they were all unique to the royal family as crests and antiques.

RB – So many beautiful women, and all doppelgangers like the one that started this game.  From what was a simple girl from a night club, this woman had demonstrated powers that were to some beyond imagination.  She begged….no, pleaded for him to show his power, and well, one hates to disappoint.  But in the same breath there is a rule in combat. Never show all your cards at the start.  The bite from the wrist snake was just a taste of what he could do, but now in order for the girl to continue the fight, she was resorting to armor.  And one hell of a bastard sword.  Oh if this was the main act, he was going to love the encore.
Seeing all the bevy of beauties coming at him with a variety of weapons, from bows and pikes, to swords and spears, the Vampire had fleeting memories of being caught up in a battle similar to this one – long ago.  1578, to be precise.  But back then his lady was no slip of a girl.  She was something much…much larger.
“Show us what ya got, Louis…show us what you want.”  The women cried in a chorus that grew and echoed around him.
“How one man can please so many….as much as I am tempted, I have to decline.”
He took out his pocket watch and then flipped open the silver top.  Inside the watch mechanism sounded and this only grew.  Tick toc tick toc.  This was no ordinary watch.  A wind started to pick up and whistled all around them as the women encircled him.  If they bothered to look down, the shadow like liquid was starting to change.  lapping at their feet and now rising up their legs as it got deeper.
“You may control the shadows, my dear – but I control something far more powerful”
The roar of something coming out from the darkness would have all those pretty lassies turning their heads.  The creak and groan of timber flooring and the slapping of massive sails as a ship came into view.  A massive sailing ship.  A rope was thrown down and the vampire caught it on the full, as the ship ploughed right for the gathering of girls.  Climbing up the rope, he clamored over the side as there was a light that appeared – like a rip or tear in the world of the girl’s making.  The ship was going to sail right through it.

DC:   Swords at the ready that ship ripped through them, but not unscathed. They collided metal against wood, shards embedding into their fading bodies. Floating in the sky was the original Xzilia as she giggled against the surprise she brought along, he was not easily tempted at all but how hard would he fight to get out of her play land. She laughed happily and raised her hand, strengthening the winds to blow that man and his ship straight for the unknown light at the end of the tunnel.
What would be on the other side? It certainly wasn’t the end of her fun, even if he didn’t want to fight she would allow him to think he was to leave. As he passed through the bright whiteness there was a shrill eek awaiting him. Him and his tiny toy boat came bursting out of a very large cup of coffee and onto a table. From above is a worried looking Victorian lady, caked in white makeup and ruby lipstick plastered on her lips.
“What in heavens name!!!” She squealed before finding hands snap her neck. Xzilia looks down at the boat and glares distastefully before picking it up gently?
“Lets find you some water sailor.” And away she turned, wind whipping violently as she walked.
~
RB- The ship lurched and then fell on its side when it washed out of the large coffee cup.  It was the size of the head of a teaspoon, and Louis was smaller than an ant.  Not exactly the Pacific.  Everything was huge, no…gigantic.  This wasn’t exactly his port of call either, and seeing the enormous Victorian lady having a right fit, only to be killed off by an enraged Xzilla only made matters worse.  Before he could do a thing, aside from hold onto the side of the ship with all his worth, Xzilla picked up the tiny ship with the intent of taking it somewhere, where there was water.  In the Victorian era???  Louis may be tiny, but he still had his fighting spirit as he was now being carried away by this She mountain.  Being so small did have it’s advantages.  He ran across the bow of his ship and launched himself at one of her fingers.  Climbing up like you would a mountain climber till he could find his way to her arm.  He was so small, it would be hard to spot him.  Like a flea on a dog.
Climbing higher and higher, he got in under her clothing and used her hair…the very fine strands of it, to help assist him in this climb.  He knew where he had to go, in order to have some affect, but it was going to take some time before he got there.
~
DC- She made her way out of the house and stopped a carriage with a high whistle, it slowed to a stop and she told the man where to go before climbing in. Unlike a taxi it wasn’t fast but only bumpy as she looked down at the ship calmly. Lifting it higher she decided to attempt to look at the details while she could, until the carriage bounces and the ship flew from her fingers.
“Ack! No!!” Fumbling she was able to catch it, but not without breaking off the sails and completely tearing the fabric to shreds. She cursed to herself and sighed heavily, deciding that less damage was to be done if she just folded her hands.
Minutes passed and the carriage stopped at their destination. She smelt it even before she arrived, the seaport of the city. As she stepped out a brisk wind caught her hair and fluttered it with a few loose leaves, it was cooler than the warm air and she smiled.
“Here we are Sailor, water…” Shoving through the thick throng of people was almost hazardous. Fish mongers and more handy men were bustling about to tend to the demanding needs of their marketeers (customers). Eventually, with some strength, she was able to make it to a quiet part of the port and knelled down to place the boat in the water.
~
RB- When the tiny boat was placed into the water, it really did look kinda sad.  I mean, she broke the main sail and the other sails were shredded and torn.  From Louis’s view, it was as if had gone ten rounds with the Spanish armada.  Appearing on her shoulder now, he stared the long way down to where she had just placed his ship.  The look on his face turned grim, as he then stared up at her face.  Truth be told, he was not liking her very much at this point.  Scaling her hair like it was the ropes from a ship, he made his way to her ear, and managed to climb out so that he was just inside the opening.  This was when he decided to speak, because, she was bound to hear him.
“I should be grateful that you don’t wax, lovey.”
It had helped him gain his way up onto her head. The very very tiny vampire then started to prod and feel about for a nice juicy piece of skin.  Finding just the right piece that was from the inside of her ear, he bit down on it.  HARD.  This was bound to annoy her greatly.  But he wanted to give her a little something for damaging his ship.
Taking in enough of her blood, he stepped back and wiped the back of his mouth before he started to feel the change begin to occur.  Louis was beginning to grow, and he made a run for it, out of her ear and down her shoulder, before appearing on the ground behind her in full size.  Her blood really had something in it for that extra kick.
Pushing himself to standing, he brushed a bit of ear wax off his shoulder, before staring down at his teeny tiny ship.
“You owe me…one ship.”
~
DC – She bit her lower lip as she watched the tiny ship bob lazily around. She groaned as she looked at the pieces in her hand then at the boat. Expression changing she nodded with confidence, she could fix this. Before she could react however she heard a whisper in her ear and she whipped her head around to find nothing there. Then a small pinch came along and she yelped as she rubbed her ear noticing Louis soon behind her.
An eyebrow raised and she turned back to the ship just as he was. Owe him a ship, she planned on doing even better for the Sailor, for what he didn’t know was that now they were in her time period. She stood and turned to him with a smile and nod.
“I will give you a new ship and this one if you so desire! Just you watch!” She snapped her fingers and the ship grew to normal size, shadows dissipating from around it. “Just wait here okay!”
She darted off and into the port. Thirty minutes passed and she returned with some people to fix his beloved boat. She gave a demanding point with such a serious face and shouted her orders.
“Alright men, you will earn your pay when that boat is in tip top shape!!” They shouted with confidence and ran towards to boat, tools in hand. Pulling it to shore they braced it on the sandy beach, since the port for fixing ships was full, they would fix it here.

Ruby – Part Two : SS.

A meeting by chance.  Two very different beings.  One was the Ambassador of Hell’s Kingdoms.  The other a mysterious girl whose name….is Ruby.  Though Ruby cannot speak, Valmont is able to see past the crude stitches….and beneath the red hood, he finds a friend.

Scene setting – Isolated cliff : Seven Sins series.

Ruby just stared at Valmont blankly, having no idea what he was thinking at all. He was seriously hard to read, which was usual for someone of her… particular skills. She just stared at the hand that was presented to her, then back up at Valmont who had taken it away from her face and stared once again into the abyss in front of them. Ruby turned to that same abyss, wondering what would happen next. Nobody truly knew why Ruby couldn’t speak, and frankly she hated that fact. It was like she was a ghost, which ironically she was. She almost felt herself going to turn into that very thing, it did happen randomly though it sometimes there was a warning. However, Ruby would be surprised that Valmont actually asked, which surprised her so much she instantly turned her head to him as if to ask did you really ask that? This was… almost great. She finally was looked at by someone, someone finally wanted to know a bit more about her. She was so excited, she almost instantly threw off her cape.

Ruby turned to Valmont, and lifted her hood from her face. Valmont was greeted by stitches on her mouth, crude stitches that looked very sloppy and this is why she could never speak. Ruby was cursed to never speak, ever. She wondered what his reaction would be.

Valmont was accustomed to seeing the most gruesome sides to some of Hell’s nobles, and yet he found himself staring at the girl’s sewn lips in wonderment. So this was why the poor girl had been unable to utter a word. Her lips, so crudely sewn together would make it impossible to partake in a verbal conversation. It was the way she reacted to the question that brought him to fix his gaze upon her. Almost like she took his question as an honest query into her state of being. Her hood was cast back and it was there for all to see. Now, some may flinch in horror. Others might flee in fear. Not Valmont. He took out a monocle and placed it to his eye.

“Intriguing.”

The ambassador brought his hand up to his chin and stroked it thoughtfully as his eyes traveled from the coarse stitches upon her lips, and back up to her eyes. Valmont wondered just how this came to be. Why would someone wish for this girl to not speak? Was it a punishment? What could she possibly have done to deserve it? It was clear from early on when he had come down the path, that she was easily startled, but more than willing to defend herself. Not that she needed to from the likes of Valmont. As much as he wished to ask the flood of questions that had filled his mind, Valmont took a different tack.

“Do you sign? Can you use your hands to speak? A chalk board?” He had seen in the past how others that were muted were able to communicate. Valmont figured that this girl must have found some way, unless….she had been banished and left to rot.

Ruby couldn’t believe it, nobody has yet to see her face and the first person who has taken a good look at it didn’t even run, as she had thought so many would do. He treated her like a normal person, not a monster. Ruby didn’t really know what to think, there was so many things she’d like to express to this one man, a man who had not known her yet gave her a chance, saw her as more than a mess of a being in Hell. She was being observed, though that was to be expected. Ruby forgot what she had looked like, it had been so long but the cruel stitches and the feeling of a shut mouth gave her enough of an image on a daily basis. He then asked her a question, a question that wasn’t expected at all. He asked if she was able to speak, but she only shook her head. Ruby had not once communicated anything with someone, let alone use tools to help that. Ruby didn’t even know how to write, nor did she know what those things were.

She couldn’t fit this feeling anymore, a feeling of comfort that was all too new to her. Ruby just flung herself onto Valmont; finally, someone that understood her though he was far from being a nobody. Yet, as she went for the hug, her body became transparent and disappeared in front of his eyes, causing Ruby to fall to the floor. She quickly got up and looked at herself in horror. No, no no no! She can’t just randomly become her ghost self, not now! This was the first time that someone acknowledged her existence! She broke down into quiet tears, as her mouth prevented her from screaming.

How does one describe seeing a girl become overjoyed by the simple art of conversation. The facial expression, coupled with the horrid stitches that forced her lips closed was enough to melt a dark heart, even one like Valmont. This companionship, friendship if you could call it that must be so new and needed to the hooded girl, that she flung herself at him to embrace him in her arms. There was however, one…small…problem. Instead of catching hold of Valmont, her body went straight through him – only to crumple to the ground below. If it was a surprise for Ruby, it was even more of a shock for the Ambassador, who had little time to ready himself for either the embrace, or the fact that she was….a ghost.

Valmont barely had time to spin around, but when he did he saw the poor girl was on her feet and tearful about what she had now discovered. The girl, who could not speak….was a ghost. It left the Ambassador speechless. He could see the abject horror in her eyes. If her lips could part, she would be screaming for certain. Amazing what one can convey when they are unable to use their voice. Valmont racked his brain. How could he comfort a girl that he could not even touch? She had no answers to whether she knew to sign, or to write. Silent screams.

“Oh my dear.” Valmont was quick to move to her side, though he tried to pat her shoulder – his hand kept missing the mark. If she looked up, she would see a genuine concern in his eyes. Valmont stood firm whereas many others in Hell would turn their backs and go about their sinful ways. The ambassador felt a sudden urge to help the girl if he could. It was the least he could do.

“I can’t resurrect the dead, and you probably don’t know where your body is….or even what time it would be in.” He knew that for a certainty. “But what I can do is help teach you how to communicate and give you a home.”

Valmont waited for her response, be it a simple nod or the shake of the head in rejection.

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby couldn’t handle this, the first time she finally was able to make a friend and now, even if it was for a short period of time, she couldn’t feel the embrace of this person called Valmont. This was a cruel life for someone of her age, added on top of the fact of how alone she truly was. Ruby heard Valmont talking to her, and turned her ghostly gaze to him, astral-like tears streaming down her face. Her face was like an injured animal, looking for the one who gave it attention to help comfort her. His words almost inspired her, and she felt a rise in feelings that she was only now experiencing, this time only amplified to extreme levels. It was at that moment she became herself again and feeling herself become visible again, took that opportunity to fully embrace him. Finally, after all these years, she not only found a companion but someone who could possibly help her solve her mysterious past. It was at that moment Ruby knew this was the most trustworthy man.

Razorbackwriter;  If Valmont could brush away the astral tears with his gloved hand then he would have. But how can one touch a spirit? How could he allow her to feel the simple caress of his fingers upon her skin? Truth was he couldn’t. But that didn’t mean he didn’t have the power to make her feel a renewed sense of worth in the most important place of all. Her heart. She needed comfort, yes. But not physical. That was unobtainable for now. What he could do was use words to soothe her troubled soul.

“Often it is the simple things that we feel that are done, not so much by a kind embrace, but with a gentle word.” The Ambassador knew many great and wonderful words, but simplicity is always best. Cut to the chase and be open and frank. Valmont had no idea the length of time the girl had wandered the desolate planes alone. No one in which to share her thoughts and feelings, and no way to express it till now. It was as though Valmont had a way through the curses barrier. Seeing beyond the crude stitches and the blood red cape. There was so much more to this girl than met the eye. The Ambassador had all the time in hell to find out.

Though he had sent his carriage on home when he had arrived at the Isolated cliff, he didn’t at all mind walking the long road to his home. A vast estate granted to him by the Seven kingdoms. It was best that he lived off their lands, since he was not one to form alliance or attachment to any one Kingdom.

https://i1.wp.com/cdn3.whatculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Dangerous-Liaisons-John-Malkovich.jpg

“The road to my home is a long one, my dear; but I feel that it would do me good. You too.” His smile was a genuine one as he gestured in the right direction in which they should go.

“You shall never be alone again.”

His word was his bond.

~RB~

Zu:  Ruby had no idea what that meant, but it sounded like a good thing. He continued to show his kindness by just being there, he hardly had to do anything else to please her. Ruby had just wanted a companion and forgot about those thoughts when she had been alone for so long; Valmont brought those feelings back and now she was more in need of it than every before. She got up so he could do the same, as Ruby didn’t want to be too much of a burden on Valmont. She rubbed the tears that came from her face, this time able to touch herself as she had become “human” once again. He was powerful, and rich, by the looks of him so obviously he’ll have a nice place to stay in. Ruby wasn’t used to that, and wasn’t expecting him to be that kind to someone he just meet.

While she couldn’t speak, his promise to never have her be by herself anymore, and that he would take her to his home, filled her eyes with hope and joy. Never before has she looked like this, her usual mood seemingly dry and blank, but now thanks to Valmont it was filled with that joyful innocence once again. As of now, only Valmont knew of her true face, and she intended to keep it that way. With a nod of acknowledgement, she hooded herself once again and took Valmont’s arm, so to not leave his side.

Razorbackwriter:  This was to be the start of an unique and beautiful friendship, the likes that had never been seen in Hell before this day. Twas a chance meeting and yet there was a kindred feeling that they shared. Both were lost really. Valmont had seemed to lose his sense of direction, the young girl had no idea that she was dead. Though they were not able to touch each other physically, they had moved towards sharing with each other’s minds and hearts. Walking along they would have made an interesting sight. The dashing and aristocratic Valmont and the red hooded Ruby with the sewn up lips. Their eyes shone, as they both found a new purpose, a reason to exist or not in Ruby’s case. All she had to do was nod to agree to follow Valmont wherever it was he would lead her. The walk was a quiet one, only interrupted by the light crushing of gravel under Valmont’s boots. Ruby of course made no sound. How could she? She bore no weight upon the earth beneath her and she was unable to speak.

“Time is on our side, my dear.”

And it truly was.

Bright as the Sun – TG.

We now follow Nurse Nancy White; aka Sunny to the inner city, where curfew is about to begin.

Co-written with Fu & Temp.

https://i0.wp.com/cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/316650-bigthumbnail.jpg

This is the heart of the City of Ota, which is located inside the 11th Ward of Tokyo. There are many shops, clubs and services to be found here. Police and the CCG patrol the area, maintaining order to the best of their ability. The City is less busy than normal cities, due to the 11th Ward’s Ghoul problem. Keep in mind that it is illegal to be outside past 8pm.

The Inner City

Razorbackwriter: A city of color. A city that was also fraught with danger. A curfew. All these things seemed to be lost to Nurse Nancy White, who had just finished her long shift at the Ota General Hospital. With her small red cardigan and carrying her purse, Sunny had a small list of groceries that she had promised Gloria, her flatmate – that she would pick up. Passing bars and restaurants, it would be another two blocks before she came to stand in front of a small grocery store. One of those family businesses, with boxes of fresh fruit and produce outside, and windows crammed with brightly coloured boxes of everything from cereals, to noodles, and of course magazines.

Taking out her list, Sunny stepped inside the supermarket and grabbed a small basket in which to collect the items. She passed an old lady seated behind a counter, who was watching a beat up black and white television set. Did they even make those any more? The woman bowed towards Sunny, and she reciprocated, before continuing to get everything she needed. Milk, bread, crisps…noodles, and some eggs. Everything was a bit pricey, but that was the market of the day.

Taking her basket of goods back up to the counter, an elderly gentleman stepped out at the sight of the bodacious nurse. One thing about Sunny, she attracted the opposite sex like bees to flowers.

“Need a bag, Miss?” He asked, as he scanned each item and set them to the side. “Yes please.” Sunny had forgotten her shopping bag in the excitement that followed her shift at work. The fight on the top floor very fresh in her mind. The shop keeper cheerfully gave Sunny a store bag for free, much to the annoyance of his wife. She started to berate him in a different dialect to the one Sunny knew. Smacking him with her hand as the game show on the TV set made a great deal of noise. Cheering in fact. The shop keeper was quick to finish serving Sunny, before turning to his wife and starting a ding dong of an argument. No harm in looking. This is what he protested to his enraged wife.

“Thank you.” Sunny chimed, as she left the store.

Bag in hand, she headed towards her apartment building.

– The Ghoul would walk silently in the streets once more headed towards the HQ on this dawning day , but clearly he wasn’t in a good mood nor was his attentiveness was up to par for reasons unknown. He hadn’t gotten a cup of coffee or anything of the sort to keep him awake . His eyes were barely open and he walked down the street , He pulled out his phone to look at any new messages but it had seemed there was none , that was fine with him he supposed. Nothing important that he had missed, or at least that’s what he thought. Tenkai kept his eyes on the phone and bumped a certain woman holding a bag –
Temp:  Wolf had returned to the inner city after the incident at Ota General Hospital. The female nurse that had involved herself in a matter of ghouls and investigators was her current target. She didn’t plan on killing the nurse though, but instead simply wanted to observe her. The behavior that she displayed back in the hospital was beyond abnormal. Normally any human that saw a ghoul knew to run away, but this one simply stood and watched. Was there something more to this girl or was she simply missing a large amount of brain cells? She did not yet have an answer, but was actively seeking one. Following the nurse was extremely simple of course, even more so when you could simply travel by rooftop. Her eyes remained focused on the girl and stopped her movement as soon as someone bumped into her. The scent the male gave off was a clear indication of what he was, but for now she would remain a spectator. Was this ghoul unstable and murderous? Night was approaching, which meant the CCG would start heavy patrols. This situation could prove interesting, or just be a waste of time. Which would it be?

Razorbackwriter:  Sunny was not really paying attention to those on the path before her. Always dazzled by the large animated signs that told you to buy this sort of soda, or that type of new shiny car. The nurse was one for loving bright shiny things, and these signs could light up the night, they were that bold and pretty. That was the whole idea of course, to attract attention of passing consumers. It would be this lack of keeping aware of her surroundings that found her crashing right into a young man who was looking into his phone. The bag that Sunny was carrying fell from her grasp and landed with a horrible spat and tinkle on the ground. Milk…eggs…what a mess, as it seeped through the hessian cloth of the bag.

“Oh whoopsie me.” The nurse chimed as she tried to pick up the bag and then watched as a stream of egg and milk ran out from the edge of the bag. “And there goes dinner…” she said with a small sigh. Glancing up at the young man she bumped into, Sunny started to apologize.

“I’m such a klutz. So..so sorry. Did I get egg on your phone?’ The nurse’s large green eyes looking at the man’s phone and hoping it wasn’t damaged. “I’ve had one of those days.” If you could count seeing a ghoul and investigator going at it, being told off by them….having a weapon thrown at her, and being berated by both the Matron and the head cleaner – it rated as a bad day.

With her bag of groceries ruined she dumped it in a nearby trash can and then wiped the edges of her nurse apron, that were now smeared with the gooey mess.

“Ah well. Take out tonight.” Another wipe of her hand on her apron and she offered it to the young man before her.

“I’m Nancy. Nurse Nancy, but people call me Sunny.” Again the bright smile of Sunny shone out as the whole incident was like water off a duck’s back. She really was very odd.

– A cracked egg and it’s yolk would run down the surface of his phone as he stared into it with dead eyes , rising up those eyes to look into the females face to see she was apologetic and was upset as well for having lost her paid items which’d now be spoiled for any possible use. Tenkai normally would lash out at the person but this time he didn’t do anything further then idly reply to her when she asked about the egg on his phone. He wasn’t able to sniff a thing or sense anyone as his nose was clogged with tidbits of yolk as well and he couldn’t tell someone was nearby.-

” It’s fine. I wasn’t looking myself.”

– He listened to her speak about how it was one of those days, he personally didn’t know what she meant or what possibly could’ve happened in her day to make her feel the way she was at this point in time. Tenkai reached into his pocket and gave her a 20 when she had mentioned changing her course of action for food for the evening.-

” Least I can do. Take it and get yourself something nice. ”

– He would finally hear her introduce herself as well as her occupation . After a brief pause for himself Tenkai would introduce himself as well-

” You can call me Tenkai. Tenkai Yakunan. Not really working at this point in time. I suppose I’m just a mere student for now.”

– He knew he couldn’t just tell a person he just met his actual occupation , it would be obvious that he’d be thrown under the bus with all of the CCG cracking down. He knew how to goof around but he also knew when to trick others with misleading statements and false claims. He of course did not really bother with education either, the most he had done was lounge around in the perimeter of the college for a certain duo of individuals but that was about it. Of course when she had offered the napkin he would take it and clean himself off properly. He didn’t like messes …… unless he was the one who made them of course.-

Razorbackwriter:  Talk about having egg on your face. Tenkai had egg on his…and shell…and it was running down his nose. It was also on his phone. Sunny was almost beside herself. She had really made a mess of things, and poor Tenkai. Taking out yet another hanky, she tried to dab the egg off her new found friend – who had offered her a 20 for losing what was to be her dinner. All over him, that is.

“Oh, but this is too much. Tell you what, why don’t you come back to my place. My room mate Gloria is on call, so she won’t be there and…we could order in something for both of us.”

There she went, good old Sunny being….sunny. She really liked this lad in front of her. He had a really nice name too. “Tenkai Yakunan. It’s a pleasure, I mean, if I hadn’t gotten egg all over you.” Nurse Nancy twirled her left ankle and waved her shoulders from side to side. Her cheeks rising to a new shade of red as she got a little blush.

“You know, the curfews are soon. Let’s go this way. It’s quicker.” Would the young man follow her home? Truth be told, Sunny was incredibly naive and a bit clueless on social etiquette, but she simply couldn’t use all that money for just herself. If he followed along beside her, Sunny would keep up with the chatter. “I was a student for 5 years, but now I am a fully trained nurse. I work up at Ota General Hospital. Do you know that the CCG was there? Mhm….fighting on the top floor. I mean, sure, its a great place if you want to bring in someone injured. Do it in the hospital. But Matron will be pissed. She’s not very nice. She also doesn’t like me.”

And so Nancy would continue to chatter as they walked along. Tenkai might be thinking, ~Get me the hell away from this blonde fruit loop~ or…he might be intrigued. Only time would tell.

” Sure I suppose. I suppose my /duties/ can be put off for awhile and no worries my clothing is fine. ”

– Tenkai was awestruck at the female but tried to laugh nervously about going to her place. Was she really inviting him to her personal residence ? This was like an invitation to die for her case. But Tenkai wasn’t really in the mindset to kill anyone without reason right now so he was able to get his mind off of it but that could change at any given time , however she had mentioned eating food. He didn’t have to trick people for a very long time , now he’s hoping that he remembered how to do it. He blanked out for a bit but his mind picked up hospital and CCG and Tenkai’s attention was brought right back and as he walked with her , a small grin grew on his face. She knew alittle something something.-

” Oh ? CCG ? They were battling someone hm ? I see. ”

– Tenkai rubbed his chin a bit before going to ask one last question while they continued to make their way towards her apartment. –

” Do you know the identity of the one who was attacked ? ”

– Tenkai was quite reluctant to go at first to her place. But she had some information that seemed to be useful. Information that could not be left alone. Information he would get his hands on of course. Slowly but surely his grin sharpened while he slowed his pace and allowed her to take the lead .-

Razorbackwriter:  Sunny didn’t pick up on the boy’s sudden interest in her when she happened to mention the CCG fight off the cuff. The Nurse was rabbiting on at one hundred miles per hour, as she so often did. Spilling out information that her new friend no doubt found very interesting. As he had agreed to come back to her place, Sunny walked along briskly and became quite animated after throwing her soggy shopping bag in the nearest trash bin. She nodded profusely when asked that the CCG were battling someone at the hospital.

“Mhm. Top floor. The lift I was travelling in from the cleaning station went all silly, and when the doors opened, there they were….this investigator…and…and this..”Sunny then scrunched her face up as she tried to remember what it was about the ghoul (or what she thought was one) that threw the weapon at her. “A….wolf thing. Short…little actually, but boy did she have a good right arm.” It was funny how as Sunny went on explaining about the fight, just how much she actually enjoyed it. The girl had put herself in terrible danger, only she was too stupid to realize it. “I just get the feeling they don’t like others getting in on their fights. I mean, I tried to cheer for the investigator, and she told me to get lost.”

It was at this time that sirens started to wail, to signal that the curfew was coming into affect. Sunny stared up at the blinking signs, and all the traffic lights flashed amber. This meant they had to get off the streets. Sunny reached for Tenkai’s hand and with a sharp tug she tried to pull him along faster.

“Come on….we need to get out of here.”

Little did she know just who she was now friends with.

“Do you like hot pockets?”

One last kiss – GS.

Tommy knew that he had to get on with his day.  As much as he wanted to stay with Elissa, he had a job to do.  Course, he needed to check up on Frank.  Little did he know what he was getting himself into.

Scene setting : Elissa’s apartment – Gantz Series.

Co-written with VunG.

VunG:  A Muttley-style laugh would slip out from behind the shower walls before the water was turned on, amused at his startled response. Ah, she loved it when she was nasty. Only thing that could’ve made that better was a Zoidberg ‘woop woop woop.’ Oh well, what could you do? She would continue cleaning herself, actually half-expecting to see Tommy come zipping through the door for another round. That said, it was probably for the best that they held off, they needed to get on with the day; they could think about more bedroom adventures later. Would probably be better if they did it at night anyways; no risk of being late… well at least for Tommy. Sometimes being self-employed was awesome.

Of course, she was fully aware that he was watching her outside, and as she lathered up she made sure to make it as sensual as possible, all too happy to tease him. Eventually though she’d get herself all cleaned up and out and get her hair washed, letting it drape down, not that it was particularly long. Exiting the shower with a content sigh, she smirked when she saw that he was still present. Drying off quickly, she made sure to apply special attention to her wound area before wrapping it around her torso and sitting down on toilet (lid down of course) and began changing her bandages. The area hadn’t broken, thankfully, but it certainly was a bit red… she was going to be hurting later; thank God for painkillers. Heh, would probably help with her ass not aching too. Being shot aside, this was probably the best morning she’d had in a long time.

Once she had the bandage on, she walked over to Tommy and shooed him out of the way so she could reach her medicine cabinet for her prescription. She smiled the whole time though, and she went ahead and gave him another peck on the lips once it was down. Whether he realized it or not, Tommy had Elissa’s attention now. When she had said she wasn’t necessarily in love, that was her going into semantics; this wasn’t a one night stand for her, and she had no intention of giving him anything more of that impression.

Razorbackwriter:  Tommy allowed Elissa to get into the medicine cabinet, by stepping back on command. The light wave of her hand, shooing him from the vanity worked. No words were needed. It didn’t matter that she couldn’t speak. Her body and that gorgeous face said more than a voice ever could. The reporter had been entranced by her, as he took on a voyeuristic nature. Silently observing her from the moment she left the shower and attended to her wound – that still looked to be quite sore. Pain killers were going to be the order of the day. Tommy continued to watch her. She took her medicine and washed it down with a glass of water, before turning her attentions back to him. His prize for behaving. A soft kiss. A peck, nothing more, but the softness of her lips was well and truly worth it. Tommy winked at her as she drew back, then started for the door. He tossed his clothes from the day before into the sports bag, and zipped it up tight. In a way, he didn’t want to leave, but he did have obligations, such as his job. His editor had instructed him to report on the hospital, but he always knew that the big scoop was the failings of the Commander, and his indiscretions. The parcel with the incriminating evidence was still out on the coffee table and had to be packed back up for when he caught up with Frank.

Frank.

Tommy rolled his eyes at thinking of his friend. He’d left a damning message that the detective call him, but as far as he knew Frank didn’t get back to him. Was he okay? Strolling over to get his jacket, he dug about in the pocket and fished out his cell phone. Looking back for a sign of Elissa, Tommy said.

“Going to try and call Frank before I go off to work.”

He pressed in the number and waited for it to be picked up.

~RB~

VunG:  It was hilarious how little needed to be said with Tommy, even excluding her sign language. It was like they were so in-sync that they just understood each other without any need for communication at all. It was… odd. She had become so used to having to work to communicate with people and get her emotions across, and here was Tommy understanding her like they were telepathically connected. Once he left the room, she would be pretty quick to finish tending to herself and would be just about to leave when she caught Tommy’s intent to call Frank.

That certainly brought her euphoric mood crashing down, though less out of concern and more out of anger towards the detective. Of course, he would likely be able to tell she wasn’t thrilled about something or another, but she’d nod and urge him to do so before heading for her room to change. Oh, she was concerned, she hoped he was alright, but she was still ticked that he had just jetted out on her with the last words being that he was pretty much intending to kill himself. If he was still alive, she’d have to restrain herself pretty hard not to punch him in the gut… though she would probably feel bad if he really did kill himself and she hadn’t done anything to stop it.

Razorbackwriter:  Tommy’s change in his demeanor might have come as a shock to Elissa as he was now barking down at the cell phone at Frank. Frank was alive. This was a good thing, but Tommy was still angry at him for the way he left Elissa’s and gave little or no explanation as to what he had been doing, or why he had not called before. Tommy had his back to Elissa as he spoke, but if she was paying attention, she would have seen him rub the back of his neck in a show that he was frustrated by his friend. The conversation seemed to be one sided. With Tommy barking questions repeatedly and not getting the answers he wanted. Let alone an apology. It was then Frank said that he would be there shortly with…a friend. The hell? The phone went dead and Tommy just held it out in front of him as though in disbelief that Frank hung up on him.

“Son of a bitch!” Tommy couldn’t hold back and then spun on his heel as he threw the phone down on the nearest chair. You could see the anger in his face. The gritting of teeth and the snarl in his voice. It took him a moment to get his composure. Did Frank have any idea how worried Tommy had been? They were supposed to be best friends. Tommy brought his fingers up to the bridge of his nose and pinched the two together as he muttered a few obscenity’s. He really cared about Frank, and often felt let down when the detective acted on impulse.

Finally getting his composure, he lowered his hand and then realized that he had lost control in front of Elissa. The one person he didn’t want to offend.

“Frank. He’s fine.” A roll of the eyes showed that his words were being with veiled sarcasm. “Apparently he is on his way here. You want first punch?” He was offering Frank up like a punching bag. All Tommy knew was he wanted to hit the guy….before he hugged him.

~RB~

VunG:  Elissa wasn’t bothering to actually change in her room to begin with, but as she passed and saw how agitated Tommy seemed, she definitely knew that it would be best to be on hand, for his sake. As she got into something closer to her usual attire, she quickly realized just how angry he seemed to be getting. Unless he had decided to call his boss after failing to call Frank and wound up in a shouting match, then those two friends were having a serious fight. As angry as she was with Frank, she had to admit that he wasn’t a bad guy and was probably under a lot of stress… she still wanted to punch him, but it was still rough seeing Tommy so angry. When he finished and sent the phone flying, she watched for a moment with wide eyes, glad she hadn’t been in the path. Letting out a sigh, she walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder as he waited, looking up at the man with concern as she waited for his response.

To his words, a mixture of relief and frustration passed through her mind, grinding her own teeth at the thought of how long it took for them to find out whether or not the idiot detective was okay. She was a bit thrown off by the fact that he was coming here, but she supposed that he would have his chance to explain himself. ~Assuming he doesn’t flee before he steps through the door?~ she asked with a scoff before continuing, ~You first. I need to decide whether to punch or slap.~

Razorbackwriter:  Tommy hated how intense his anger had become and the timing was so off. The last person he wanted offend was Elissa right now, and it took a moment for him to reign himself in. Only when he placed a hand on his shoulder, did he remember himself. His eyes searched hers to see if she was dissapointed in him. But what Tommy saw was a look of both frustration and relief. Odd as it was. He felt the same way, and in a sense it was good they were both on the same page. It was amusing though how she signed that Frank might do the bolt before they get the chance to get him through the door. Yeah, he might see their faces and rethink his visit. Truth was they both felt the same way about the detective. At times he was his own worst enemy.

~You first. I need to decide whether to punch or slap~

Tommy beamed as Elissa signed this. In fact, he started laughing at the very idea of Elissa slapping him across the face. It’s not like he didn’t deserve it. Tommy reached for Elissa’s hand and then kissed the back of it, a smug expression coming to his face.

“Save the slaps for me. I kinda like it when you get rough.” He wiggled his eyebrows playfully, then now filled with a renewed sense of warmth for her, he leaned in and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

“I want to spend another night with you. Tonight, maybe?” He was so hopeful that she might say yes. Tommy had his own apartment though, and by rights he should invite her over there. But that was for later, unless she agreed.

~RB~

VunG:  Ahaha, it was so good to see that her response was able to cheer Tommy up a bit (not that she hadn’t meant what she said). Whether just the thought of her slapping him or Frank’s reaction that did it, she couldn’t help but grin a bit in turn to his diabolical glee. The kiss on the hand was a curious action, but certainly not an unwelcome one, even if she did roll her eyes a little. His words about liking her getting rough though, that got her all sorts of warm, the thought of how aggressive she could get with him shooting through her head a bit. Yeah, she’d save the slaps for him, all he wanted. That said though, the tender kiss he gave her was equally welcome, and she gladly kissed him back.

And then he went ahead and asked if she wanted to repeat this tonight. Oh… how to respond to this… hrmm… well, she could make a joke about making sure it was at his place so they could tear up his sheets this time. But… no, she wouldn’t bother with words. Instead she reached up to bring him down a bit and kissed him deeply on the lips, but as she did so she gave his crotch a light squeeze, just enough to get her point across. Once she pulled away from him, she just stared back at him, a coy smirk on her face saying what little hadn’t been said already. All she added was a quiet sign of, ~Your place or mine?~ Oh, she was more than willing to continue this dalliance with him; keep it going until they both got tired of each other.

Razorbackwriter:  A sizzling kiss. That was all Tommy needed to lick his lips and mouth “Yum”. The reporter watched her sign the question of whether it was her place or his and he was quick to answer. “Mine. I’d like to cook for you. But we might have to make it a late dinner. Once Frank gets here and we deal with him, then I have to get to work.”Tommy glanced down at his watch, and then grimaced. It was getting on already and he wasn’t sure how long it would take for Frank to get from wherever he was to Elissa’s place. He hoped that Elissa would be okay with this arrangement. Tommy didn’t normally cook for anyone, as most of the girls he had dated seemed to enjoy doing it for him. He got lazy after a while and simply either took girls out to a fancy restaurant or ate whatever was on offer.

This time round, Tommy wanted to impress Elissa. For some reason, he just felt this need too. It was odd, especially for a guy like him. Hell, he’d even take her back to meet his parents if he got the chance. That was how serious Tommy was becoming. He didn’t want to bring up the “I love you” line again, since it got him in over his head the first time he had said it to her. When the time was right…..when the feeling was mutual, he wouldn’t hesitate.

Tommy took up a lock of Elissa’s hair and curled it around his finger, as though he just wanted to play with her while they waited for Frank to show up. He did so without saying another word, though he kept looking into her eyes, before showing a special kind of smile. He moved a touch closer to her so he practically had her up against the wall. Deeply, he inhaled her smell. Even closing his eyes as he did so. The edge of his hand touching her cheek. Feeling the softness of her skin. There were two sides of Tommy Xo. One that could be so gentle….and the other that could be rough and ready. There just wasn’t time for another tryst, but instead he was going to quietly enjoy her. Even if she did just squeeze his balls.

You know, he didn’t mind one bit.

VunG:  Huh… Tommy… cooking… that was an interesting thought. Truth be told, Elissa had no preference one way or the other as for whether her significant other cooked or she did. When she was married, her husband usually did most of the cooking, but that was because she had longer work hours, and she made sure to treat him every once in a while. She wasn’t an amazing cook, but she knew a few foreign dishes that she mostly learned just so she wouldn’t have to dump twenty bucks if she wanted to have them. Regardless, she was definitely curious to what he could do in that regard, and she gave an enthusiastic nod, agreeing full-heartedly to the plan… and like she’d been thinking before, it would be nice to alternate locations.

Eventually their decisions would slowly drift away, and slowly a very different mood would begin to fill the room. As he proceeded to play with her hair, she would look up into his eyes, her own blue ones sparkling thoughtfully, trying to figure out what was going on in his head. One of her hands simply dangled while the other rested on his side, and as he closed the gap her hand gladly rested on his hip. The closeness was pleasant, and as he began to caress her cheek, she would feel a strange, nearly-forgotten sensation filling her. This tender affection, this… gentle treatment, it was something that she hadn’t had in… well it felt like a lifetime ago. She had been more than a little rough, and nowadays that was the usual her–that or ice queen–but once upon a time she had been more like Tommy, able to show a far more tender side. Slowly she brought her free hand up to meet his, but she wouldn’t move it or try to control it, she simply laid it there and leaned into his hand, closing her eyes happily. Hmm… perhaps she had been hasty with him… simply calling this the beginning of them simply dating…

This felt… right.

Razorbackwriter:  It was strange, and wonderful all at the same time. Tommy didn’t have to say anything. It was right there. The way that he touched her, the way his eyes held hers and both closed at the same time. Two silhouettes that stood so close now it was like one being. Tommy didn’t even think about stealing her away into the bedroom again either. This…connection that they were sharing gave him so much more, than a wrestle between the sheets. He could feel a tightening in his chest, like he almost couldn’t breathe. He was right. Tommy had fallen. Fallen….crashed and burned in love with Elissa. He knew he didn’t have to say it this time, cause the feelings were there. Her face….the touch of her hand to his. A new happiness was spreading through him and he wanted to laugh. If she opened her eyes, she would see it. A smile fixed to his face that couldn’t be wiped away.

His free hand moved to cup her face with the other hand now. Closer he moved to her and then he kissed her. Not hard and hungry. This was different. He was professing his love without words, but through his actions. She must know by now. There was a sound. Not a growl, no. Almost like he was moaning her name, but he kept on kissing her. Pushing her back hard to the wall.

Damn Frank….if he turned up now. Tommy didn’t want this kiss to end.
