RPC – Sammy Logan : Seeking Echos.

Roleplay Character Sheet.

Name:Sammy Logan
Age: 15
Species: Human
Element: Wind/Air
Signatures: Aero-Telekinesis, Air Manipulation
Other Techniques: Enhanced Speed; due to using by reducing air resistance and utilizing pressurized air for propulsion.

Personality: Something of a loner, Sammy or “Sam” to those that she allows to get close to her, is a model student, who can usually be found out on the grounds as opposed to being cooped up in the library or dorm. Her affinity with the outdoors is due to when she came to understand and accept her ability or talent with the element of air. Sam is not the kind of girl to be the centre of attention, and keeps her thoughts to herself if there is a conversation going on. You could say that she has yet to find a kindred spirit amongst her peers. Sammy has trust issues that stem from her younger years, though if one were to break through, she would be a loyal and good friend.

Strengths:Her abilities to harness the weather by her use of controlling oxygen and nitrogen that is forced together by the earth’s own gravity, makes her a worthy and somewhat destructive opponent in any battle. Her understanding of her environment and the spot on timing of when the air density changes; allow her to maximize her power.

Weaknesses:Sammy is weakened by those that use the fire ability as it draws the oxygen from her environment. Those that use electricity against her can alter the molecules in the air with electrons, thus overwhelming her.
Appearance:

History: A girl with a mysterious past, who had changed schools many times in her youth. Few ever got to see the real Sammy, for she kept that hidden behind a nerdy facade. Her winter white hair was usually kept up in a tight ponytail that drew her hair back so tight that it made her look severe. With large black rimmed glasses, and wearing clothes that were often two sizes too big, she tried to be invisible to others and would often duck away outside with her favourite novel to a place out on the grounds where few would go. Preferring ravens as company than people, when she was hidden from view, she would release her hair from its confines and use her powers in secret – the only tell tale sign was when the leaves from the very trees above her were whipped up into great clouds before settling down to fall over her in a magical spectacle. The only time she smiled.

Teasing words that dare my inhibitions

Stripping away the shy exterior

To reveal bare flesh for your eyes only

A hiss through gritted teeth

I respond with the tremor of my thighs

Every second; longer than the next

Anticipation building…..climbing

Almost dizzy as I await your touch

Bedroom eyes stare to the wall

Heated breath escapes my parted lips

Rounded buttocks flinch at the slightest sound

You’re behind me, I know you’re there

Hair pulled back, caught within fingers tight

Never will I resist you

For this night you shall have your fill

My body….my sacrifice

The surrender to be the sweetest thing

Love Interrupted – The Embassy : PD

Continuing from The Heat of the Moment, Valmont and Nicholas’s tryst becomes something more than either had anticipated.  (Fantasy RP – Yaoi)

Tsu:

As wrong as it was, the two males were here doing this and making it go fully. Nicholas had felt at complete bliss with his fingers working in him. His kisses would continue slightly, nibbling and leaving small marks on his neck. Feeling his hips move back and fourth, he’d move his hand quicker, squeezing much more on his member. He had to admit, he was a good size for what he was and he didn’t mind it. Feeling his fingers slide out a small groan would escape his lips with a pout. Nicholas was enjoying it but, he knew what was to come next. Being there half on him he’d watch him suck the juice and panted a bit. His head tilted a bit as he watched him throw off his pants and throw everything onto the floor. It would be something he’d most likely be picking up after, it was him after all. After being fully nude from the strip and laid on the table, Nicholas looked up at him lovingly.

Once he was rubbing you could say something moved in Nic. It felt so good at the moment and small moans escaped his lips. Laying there his arms would relax against the side of the table, watching and listening to him. His eyes filled with Lust, his own filled with it too, along with many other things. He wouldn’t want anyone after, he had opened himself up and exposed him in this room, he wouldn’t see himself accepting as Valmont was. Nicholas was ready and once he felt the tip to his entrance, you’d think the next moments would be the most amazing thing ever but, it wasn’t at it seems. Once he pushed again entering him, a huge pain ran through his body. Instantly he had let his nails scratch into the desk, tears were flooding his eyes and sliding down.

” V-V-Valmont, i-i-it hurts! Ah, god.. ” He would of cried out, drowning out Val’s own pleasurable cries.

Nicholas body had arched up and his nails digging into the desk more, bleeding from the scratching. No amount of words could describe the main as he moved in deeper into him, you’d think he would of broke but, he didn’t. Remembering the female anatomy this was the moment he had lost his hymen to the man before him. His words were a blur but, he heard them. After a couple of moves inside the pain would ease but, still remain. It was not becoming pleasurable and something inside Nic sparked as he looked at him, tears done but, still lingering.

” Valmont.. oh Valmont, please take me..” He had moaned out finally. Feeling truly different, his arms going up and wrapping around his neck, nails slightly sliding against his back.

Embassy of Hell

That moment when Nicholas cried out, that he was in such pain from Valmont’s hard thrust had brought a look of shock and surprise. Nicholas…was a virgin. Blinking for a moment, as though he could hardly believe this was real the incubus suddenly felt a great sense of pride, though seeing Nicholas in such pain awakened something else. The demon within him almost sang at the beauty of such a moment. The blood flowed as the hymen was broken, and Valmont wanted nothing more than to kiss away those tears. Yes, the pain would be felt as it was a rite of passage, but God….the colour of his cheeks, the way he arched his back. It did nothing but excite Valmont even further. Valmont was his first…and he was going to be his last.

Slowly…ever slowing he pulled out of the young one – gazing down at his blood coated member. He was almost out, when he looked back up at his lover. “The pain is nothing compared to the bliss I shall give you.” Words of comfort almost, as he brought himself down to be covering his lover. Valmont went slow. Precise thrusts that were designed to ease Nicholas through the pain. It was incredibly intimate. Nothing could compare to this. Valmont could start to feel Nicholas relax, and then he moaned his name. Begging….yes begging for more.

Valmont would do more than just oblige. He started to kiss those tear stained cheeks, his hips now rolling in an age old rhythm. It was like they were the perfect fit for each other and Valmont whispered into Nicholas’s ear.

“You were made for me. My darling.’ This meant that all inhibitions were gone. Valmont saw Nicholas as being his soul mate, his equal. Those silver eyes held tears, but the beauty of the moment would only grow, as he held Nicholas down and showed him what love was. Their cheeks rubbed against each other each time their hips smacked together. Deeper and deeper….harder and harder. Both racing now with their needs wanting fulfillment. Valmont’s lips hungrily sought that of his lover. Kissing him with a raw passion as he found the inner spot within Nicholas, that would take him higher.

He only stopped kissing, to watch in awe of Nicholas’s face. He wanted to see him reach that peak. He wanted to engrave it into his heart and mind.

Nicholas had shuttered a bit from the pulling out, watching him. Hearing his words did indeed bring comfort to him, it was good. Once again feeling him go in, he thought it’d hurt but it didn’t. Feeling them slow and steady he relaxed his body back down against the table. It was a amazing feeling and he knew exactly from those words that he was being truthful. The kisses brought a small smile to his lips, moans starting up again as he moved more. It was something truly good and he couldn’t get enough of it. Hearing his words a gasp would escape his lips and his eyes widened, was that it? Had he taken him to be his lover, it was a shock to him.

” I was made for you.. ” He spoke softly, face still slightly red from before.

The next moments were true love making and Nicholas body wanted to cry out in pleasure from it. He wouldn’t let it happen yet. Closing his eyes he’d once again arch his upper half up as he hit his spot. Something about it made his body feel amazing and he wanted more. Once his lips fell upon him again, he’d kiss back with just as much passion for his love. Nicholas wanted Valmont to feel his love too, he wanted it all. With the deepness and pace, he could feel that it was closing in on his time. Both there hips rocking into each other he’d open his eyes and looked directly into Valmonts, slightly shuttering some and then something shattered in him. Something he hadn’t felt before but, he had released and with it he cried out loudly from the immense pleasure. He did take his words and enjoyed him, giving him something in return. Panting and breathing a bit hard, he’d relax once more against the table for the last time.

” Val.. I-I-I l-love you, that was amazing”

Those words had come out slowly and calmly, he was a bit shocked he had said it. Being true to his words he would lean up and wrap his arms around Valmonts neck. He’d pull his head down and kiss him once again softly and lovingly.

Razorbackwriter:Embassy of Hell

Whoever could have imagined that this scene would come to fruition? Nicholas experiencing the dizzying heights of what was his first ever orgasm, and to have surrended his heart body and soul to that of the Ambassador. Nothing more beautiful than seeing that face. Not only seeing it, but feeling the way that Nicholas’s body tensed up and then the slow and yet powerful release. It was enough to drive the incubus on and he did so. Taking in those last moments to gasp….and then cry out as he was brought to the spectacular end. Heart beats so strong as he thrust those last few times, to capture the final moments of Nicholas’s own release. There were no words to describe it. The pleasure was beyond measure, and the words shared were so quiet. Nicholas fell….right then and there. Head over heels for this man that had just showed him what love was. The room again fell to silence, as the lovers kissed so tenderly. Valmont laying on his lover, still deep inside of him – spent.

Nicholas had his arms around his neck as though not ever wanting to let him go. Valmont couldn’t help but smile as small drops of sweat ran down his forehead.

“No, you are the one who is amazing.” He said almost breathlessly, as he went to stand, but brought his lover so that he was sitting upon the desk edge. Their eyes still focused on each other. Valmont didn’t even consider the fact that he had just came inside Nicholas. He was too caught up in this affair. The passionate and beautiful gift that they now shared. He then remembered the pain that Nicholas had suffered, and this caused Valmont to frown a little.

“I hope I didn’t hurt you too bad.” Valmont’s hands cupping his lover’s face.

“The next time, will be better….I promise.” Losing himself in Nicholas’s eyes, he then kisses him again, but harder this time. As though sealing his words with a kiss. He broke it cause something popped in his mind that he had to say.

“I’m going to love you forever.” He wanted so badly now to carry Nicholas back to his room and show him what he meant, when the door suddenly opened. A maid had heard the items being knocked off the desk and came to check for herself, only to see Nicholas and Valmont in a compromising position.

Ruby – Part Four : SS.

Ruby was just getting used to Valmont’s company at the Embassy, but found the newer arrivals; the Ambassador’s staff – a bit much to handle.

Scene setting – The Embassy of Hell.

Co-written with Tsu, Zu and Kiri.

Tsu:  It was rather quiet for a moment, of course he knew why. Only two of them could speak right now and the other couldn’t, he wondered how life would be not being able to speak. It’ll surely be a burden or something tedious, though he already had something like that. He could probably somehow related and she didn’t know at least, hearing his words a small blush would come to his cheeks, only for a moment, vanishing shortly after. ” You’re right, I’ll make sure we get a board for her, it’ll be very convenient for the most part.” Nicholas watched Valmont go to the girl and kneel down to look at her, something forming in his stomach. Oh how he hated that feeling and ignored it, his eyes observing and also realizing the weapon she carried. Maybe she was a swordsman? or a warrior? You’d never know about somehow just by their looks and how they acted.

” Aa, I’ll go on ahead then, to prepare the stuff. I’ll make sure that everything is ready, if you both come.” With that said, he turned on his heels and walked away, a little quicker then he wanted too. Hopefully it would go unnoticed but, not a lot got passed Valmont. Walking back inside he shut the door with a click and let out a little sigh, this was rather annoying. Looking down at the ground he cursed himself and his genetics, maybe it could somehow be altered but, he didn’t know. Many thoughts swept through his mind on whether he wanted to actually be a full male or switch and be completely a female. Nicholas shook his head a bit and composed himself, standing up and walking he went on his marry way to do the preparations.

Zu:  Ruby was so amazing by something so simple as the cloth and what was on it. This was a once in a lifetime kind of thing, and she was playing with it to it’s fullest potential. Ruby heard someone near her, and turned to see it was Valmont, who was doing something odd; kneeling. She just looked at him for a bit then took his hand, getting off her chair and looking up at him with the most innocent look on her face. The kind of face that was lost in a dark place but was still optimistic about her surroundings. Ruby would do anything for this man, the one who paid attention to her and gave her a place to stay. Wherever they would go, Ruby get she’d enjoy it. That thought that passed her by earlier, it began to nag her again but she didn’t pay it any mind.

Razorbackwriter:  ~The House of Thrones~

For some strange reason, the Ambassador had a way of getting through to Ruby. Looks could be deceiving but actions spoke louder than words ever could and Valmont was genuinely pleased that she accepted the offer to go inside the grand estate. The building itself was a monument to those that had served Hell and its seven Kingdoms since the dawn of time. All those that had been elected to act as the Devil’s advocate held that position with the knowledge that though they did not weld power like those of the Seven Princes of Sin, they were able to pass through each kingdom on the simple fact of the neutrality. Never siding with one Kingdom over the other. It was not his job to. When disagreements and wars broke out as they so commonly did, Valmont and his entourage would go from Kingdom to Kingdom and help seek to restore order and the status quo.

Two elegantly dressed footmen opened the grand doors to the entrance, where the pair would find themselves entering the foyer of the Embassy. Adorned on the walls, were the seven shields of sin. Each one representing the main Kingdoms. The Princes knew that they were welcomed as equals and that if there was a dispute, or a crime had been committed, Valmont would allow refuge to those that may be sought for execution, until such time that all legal processes were exhausted and the guilty was handed over for punishment. This meant that there were often many that came to the Embassy. Hat in hand and with a tale to tell. It never ended. For you see, each sin had its weakness. Just as they were powerful. Some were corrupt and could only think about bringing down others, or trying to bolster their own kingdoms with a take over.

In a special chamber off to the right of the foyer was the Thrones of the Seven. The meeting place of all the Princes, should they be so bold to actually stand being in the same room as the other. It was no secret there was no love lost between a few of them. Not to mention the fact that the last Prince of Envy was murdered, and the Prince of Greed….well, we all know what happened to him. That room was guarded by two fierce looking warriors that stood over seven feet in height and both wore armor that was to a specific guild with an unknown name.

To Ruby this may all look ostentatious and over the top. To outsiders they may well think the same, but the purpose of the Embassy was mainly to the Royals and their subjects. Essentially, the UN of Hell.

Knowing Nicholas had gone on ahead to fetch the string tied chalkboard for Ruby to use, to start her lessons in communication, this gave Valmont more time with the girl. It was not going to be easy to teach her speech, that was something the Ambassador was well aware of.

One servant girl, that had come from the Kingdom of Lust originally, stepped out of the shadows and simpered over to the Ambassador, flaunting her ample bosom practically in his face. The scent of her skin that had been bathed in exotic oils and it was indeed pleasant to the senses. For a moment Valmont forgot himself and closed his eyes just to savor the sweet smell.

https://i2.wp.com/st.elohell.net/public/chill/07f253a94a24c71a4a5a3099e4af133a.jpg

“Is there anything you see that pleases you, Ambassador?” she asked with a wicked gleam in her eyes. The girl was indeed tempting to Valmont’s dark urges. He coughed as he brought out a hankerchief and fought back hard to maintain some dignity in front of Ruby.

“No…no, thank you. I err…am waiting on the secretary.” Who Valmont hoped would be soon. What would the hooded Ruby think of this. Hopefully she wouldn’t think that all women in the Embassy were so forward.

“Nicholas?!” Valmont sung out.

Zachary gave out a sigh, actually beginning to get aggravated by the paperwork that was swamping him. As the Chief Adviser of the “House of Thrones” he always had something he needed to do. It hadn’t been long ago that he’d felt a change in the more immediate levels of energy around the Embassy, in fact it seemed to him that Valmont had returned. Valmont was one of the few people who knew just what Zachary was, and also one of the few who was able to call him Zach. Zachary’s katana was lain against the wall behind him, mainly so that it wouldn’t be in the way while he was working and so that it wouldn’t be too far if he needed. Though the later was indeed unlikely. It was honestly the usual lately, complaints about land-disputes, lawsuits of all kinds. It was like the people expected this Embassy to do their jobs for them. It was exhausting. With an exasperated groan Zachary pushed his chair away from the desk and stood, picking up the katana and its case as he slung it over his shoulder. The case was more as a way to help control the feeling of intimidation caring around a sword all the time could cause. Zachary needed a break, and going outside was just the way to do it. The male got outside fairly quickly anyway, and made his decision to go up to Valmont himself. However, Zachary’s right eye twitched as he began to get close, noticing a servant being extremely . . . forward based on what Zachary could tell. In front of a guest no less. From what Zachary could recall, the young girl had come from the Kingdom of Lust. Why does this not surprise him. Though Valmont had called for Nicholas, Zachary was instead the one to answer, starting with the serving girl in a . . . less forward manner.

Zachary approached behind the girl, standing there silently a moment before speaking just loud enough that all three parties would hear, for it seemed that Valmont had a special guest. The serving girl jumped, noticeably so, from the sound of Zachary and spun as he did so. In his sweetest voice no less.

“My dear, Would you be so kind as to move along? If I can recall correctly, your work is not entirely finished.”

Of course, the young girl didn’t seem very flustered, but Zachary could sense the changes in a person’s energy, and that was enough for him to be able to tell he had embarrassed her. Good, perhaps it would teach her to have better control over herself. From here, Zachary looked down to Valmont and gave a bow of his head, both to the Ambassador and his Guest.

“Good evening, Lord Valmont, Lady..?”

Zachary had seen the stitches earlier, and therefore he tried to avoid being rude and asked Valmont the question instead. However there was a chance . . . that not even Valmont knew. Based on the energies he’d seen from the young girl, she definitely wasn’t normal – but then again he couldn’t say he was either. She found a lot of things to be new, at least from what he could see and feel. Whatever the case was, Zachary was interested in learning about this girl. And his eyes showed it.

Tsu:  Silently he moved around in his office, trying to find the items necessary. It’d be rather hard to teach, if he hadn’t found the board and stuff. It would of been easier if his body hadn’t been bothering him, slowly he stopped and set both his hands on his desk. Looking down at the floor, he let out a small sigh and breathed in and out. ” Stupid hormones, stupid body, hopefully it’ll settle down.” He said and knew that he was the only one in his office or around the area, he had nothing to worry about someone hearing. After a couple of minutes he came across the chalk board and chalk, lovely he thought. Picking it up and holding it, he composed himself once more and walked out of the room. A minute later he had bumped into a chef, as he smiled a bit. ” Please make sure lunch is started shortly, we have roughly.. 3, no.. 4 people including me here now.” He had said as the guy went on his way nodding, it would be good to relax and eat shortly after.

Nicholas?! Echoed through the halls as he knew it was Valmont, he had forgot about time. Rather quickly, he walked and it was faster then a human walk. Nicholas was of like a snake, fast on his feet and hearing, it really helped at times. Coming to a slow walk he realized that the presence he felt was Zachary, he had probably come back. Hearing him talk, he came up on the side and walked over to Valmont, handing the items. ” Sorry about the wait, I had to prepare some things in advance but, I bring the bored and chalk.” His eyes scanning over to Zachary. ” Hello Zachary. “ Nicholas said and let his eyes return to Ruby and Valmont, he made sure not to stare so long at some people, it’d make him paranoid that they somehow found out about him or were going to.

Zu:  It was amazing to Ruby of all the stuff that was owned exclusively by Valmont, it was nothing she’d ever think to see and be around at the same time. She’d take it all in, like a child going to the museum for the first time. Suddenly, a woman came to them and Ruby, while scared at the sudden interruption, according to her, she didn’t reach for her weapon. It seemed Ruby was getting slightly, yet slowly, more comfortable with her surroundings. She listened to the woman and turned to Valmont, who was acting wierd around her. Ruby didn’t realize what it was, but it might have been that Valmont smelled her, and thought it was a horrible smell: Ruby liked it.

It wasn’t until Zachary came so instantly that Ruby almost pulled out her scythe, he just came out of nowhere. She quickly turned her head to see, and seeing as he was friendly, just looked at him in the most innocent way possible. This whole time, she forgot to put her hood up and surprisingly enough, wasn’t thinking about it. So everyone would be able to see her faults. That didn’t last long though, as Nicholas came back too. So many people, all of whom worked for Valmont. Was Valmont trying to get Ruby to meet with everyone at once? It was all a bit much. She tugged on her sleeve, and looked at him with those eyes that said I wanna get outta here.

Razorbackwriter:  Valmont was indeed lucky at the quick thinking of his most trusted, Zachary. Noble and astute he arrived in the nick of time as the servant from the Lust Kingdom was trying it on, as only a creature from that domain would. Valmont’s face showed he was now more at ease, when the girl was given directives and more or less told to go on her way. If it was one thing that Valmont often had the urge to conquer it was women. Considering his current charge and the attentions she required, having a pretty distraction just wouldn’t do. With the maiden now off to complete her tasks, Zachary was able to do a more formal introduction.

“Good evening, Lord Valmont, Lady..?”

“Ah…Zachary, and a Good evening to you. This is Lady Ruby. We don’t know her true name but suffice to say, that the name Ruby seems fitting, and she doesn’t mind.”

It was then that Nicholas showed up, and with the requested items – the chalk board with string and the chalk. Both of which were to be very handy to help with the girl’s lessons in communication. Something she was not really able to do. Taking the board and chalk from Nicholas, Valmont thanked him with a warm smile. “Perfect timing, and no harm in the wait.”

Valmont was about to offer them to Ruby, when he felt the slight tug on his sleeve. Looking down to only see a slightly distressed look on Ruby’s face. Had something upset her, or was she intimidated by all the sudden attention. He did recall that she looked so lost and alone at the Isolated cliff face, and it took a bit to get her trust. Now, he gathered that this was all too much at once for the girl to handle.

Offering Nicholas and Zachary a firm nod each, he then made a suggestion that might calm the situation.

“I’m going to take Lady Ruby for a small tour of the training room. May I suggest gentlemen that you work on a list for an upcoming meeting of the Heads of the Kingdoms. I dare say that there is going to be some dramas after all that has gone on after the Greed ball. Official notices to all Princes…and er…Princesses to attend. Say…a Saturday.”

Having given instructions, Valmont offered his arm to Ruby to take her on a walk to the training room – that was equipped with the very best and latest in sword fighting equipment and armor.

~RB~

Kiri: Zachary nodded at Valmont with a smile, he could understand that Ruby was overwhelmed. Based on her energy signature at the moment, that was pretty obvious for the male. Instead of offering to help in a different way, he instead went with Valmont’s suggestion. It wasn’t a bad idea anyway, hopefully they could avoid another war. Though he highly doubted that much at all. The ball hadn’t gone very well from what he heard, and that meant things could go badly in terms of connections between all the princes and princesses. In all honesty, Zachary preferred that the peace stayed sound, no matter how tense. But, you couldn’t always have your way. That was the sad truth of the world.

“Of course Lord Valmont. Lady Ruby, I do hope you do enjoy your stay. Good morning Nicholas. Shall we?”

Zachary turned around on his heel, walking back towards the embassy once more, hopefully with Nicholas on his heels. The young serpent seemed to have something troubling him, and though Nicholas didn’t know it, Zachary could tell because of his ability to see and sense different kinds of energy. Zachary kept his race hidden from most, and one of the few exceptions was Valmont. Nicholas was not one of those however. Not yet anyway. That could change. Zachary didn’t waste time to go back to his study, mainly to begin drawing up the paperwork to start sending off the letters. This was going to take time, and he’d need the help of Nicholas.

“Since this will take some time, Nicholas. Would you mind helping me?”

They were close to Zachary’s study now, so it was up to Nicholas if he would help or not. Not that it’d be of any harmful consequence should he not.

Tsu:  Nicholas had gave a smile back as he took the bored. He could easily see distress from Ruby and knew why. Of course he too would be overwhelmed if he started meeting a bunch of new people all at the same time. Hearing Valmont talk about going to the training the training room, he smiled a bit. ” Aa, everything is set in their by the way.” He called after as Valmont and Ruby left him and Zachary. He was still nervous, their were things he didn’t know about people and something seemed slightly off about him but, he wouldn’t push. ” Good morning to you too Zachary.”

Seeing him walk, he followed after him staring at his back. What was he? That pondered if mind a bit but, shrugged the thought off. Nicholas wasn’t exactly close with all the staff members but, he knew all of them since he did live here and we’ll, part of his job was to know them. A small sigh slipped from his lips as he heard Zachary talking to him and looked at him. ” Of course, I’d love to help. Plus, Valmont asked us both so.. I’ll help regardless. “ He said with a smile and relaxed himself a bit, he needed to calm down, nothing was going to be found out and with that thought he relaxed completely.

Little Girl Lost – BC.

Scene setting : The Peach Cafe – Blood City.

co-written with Temp and Gene.

Temp:  Well, at least there were still gentlemen in this time period. The mans sole satisfaction with her smile was flattering, and the words were more than welcomed. It was a nice change of pace from strange looks and mumbled words. Unfortunately, the girl near the man seemed to be unsure as to how she should interact with her. The very late wave was something she decided to forgive and let go, rather than find any kind of offense. Selina was different from everyone around her, that much she was beginning to understand. From what she had gathered so far, there had been quite a bit of advancement as far as the human race went, both in terms of society and intelligence. There was likely a great deal of learning that she had to do, at least if she wished to live among these humans. The alternative to adapting to this new urban environment was to live in the wilderness. There would be a great deal of room for experimentation and witchcraft, should she choose to partake in it. It would also mean that her Awakened form wouldn’t be able to cause any sort of disaster. Leaving was definitely the best option, no doubt about it. Surviving on her own wouldn’t prove very difficult, or at least she assumed so. Before she did anything she would have to speak with her Grimoire, who was currently being stubborn and keeping her mouth shut. For now, she could at least enjoy her time among these ‘modern’ humans. Who knows, maybe she’ll even learn something.

Presently, she was too busy focusing on the food in front of her to notice anything going on around her. Anyone staring or talking about her would go unnoticed, at least for now. The quality of the food was a massive improvement from what she could remember eating in the past, which was fantastic. She had always enjoyed sweet things, but these biscuits were simply amazing. The tea was also very good and really fresh, which was quite surprising. The advancements to cooking techniques were something she was very excited to experience. Eating in general was something she loved doing. Thankfully she had no reason to worry about her figure, a true miracle. “So much hath changed.” Speaking to herself was a common practice she took part in, though this time she was communicating with Tallulah, who still remained still and silent. Was the world view on magic another thing that had changed? There was no other reason for her to remain inactive than that, considering she was very talkative when the two were previously alone. The silence was beginning to make her feel a bit lonely and depressed. Which only helped make her realize that she really was completely alone. Not one person from her coven likely remained, even descendants were highly unlikely to be alive. “I wish I couldst return to mine slumber…” Why hadn’t she thought of this from the beginning? Maybe she was just trying to deny the facts. Either way, it was unsettling and very distressing. A tightening of her chest was beginning to develop, as well as a very clear look of dread that now painted itself upon her face. She was starting to feel unstable, which was not a good thing at all.

The kindness and politeness displayed by Joel, to the girl, did come to Ava’s attention. He was an interesting person – that was for sure. Ava almost wished she could do the same; quickly switch how she acted around certain people. It’d certainly be a useful skill.

When Joel explained why he helped her, Ava’s gaze flickered to the floor. He had a point; people feared the unknown. Even Ava did, especially when she first began to practice magic. However, her fascination and curiosity was sufficient enough to motivate her to continue. Ava looked towards the girl. She was eating, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. She only turned to face Joel when he posed the question. This brought about silence once more. Anyone would want help if they were lost and hungry; the answer was simple enough, but Ava knew that wasn’t the point. Even though everyone would say yes, it was ironic how they wouldn’t help someone else in that same position. Ava wasn’t brought up to be charitable and had hardly been exposed to the poverty within the City. It was the same reason why she read the newspaper: Ava wanted to learn the truth about the City. The City – or the world for that matter – wasn’t a utopia.

“I understand,” She nodded. Just talking to Joel was allowing Ava to learn new things and open her mind; well, he was a teacher after all, “Should we ask her to sit with us?”

Once again, Ava twisted in her seat to look at Selina. This time was different. A look of worry was on Selina’s face and Ava’s own expression began to mimic it. Was the girl alright? Come to think of it, Ava realised she appeared to be around the age where one wouldn’t expect her to be out, in the city, by herself.

“Are you okay?” Ava called to her. A few of the neighbouring booths and tables heard the question, Selina once again becoming their centre of focus. It wasn’t Ava’s intention to bring any more attention to Ava; she bit down on her lip, silently cursing herself for her stupidity.

Soft words said only to herself were casually overheard. Joel couldn’t help but hear what the girl in the next booth was saying. Though it was not directed to anyone in particular, it did give rise to clues about the girl’s circumstance, and this suddenly made the young teacher curious. A natural trait of one that always was seeking to learn more about the world and those around him. Though Joel had his back to the girl, he was becoming more aware of her plight with each passing second. For a moment he zoned out of the conversation with the young pupil opposite him. Ava’s gaze was now going past Joel towards the girl in the next booth. Had what he said awakened something in her? Perhaps Ava did understand that Joel was in fact giving her a lesson on morals. “I understand.” But did she really? Only time would tell.

“Should we ask her to sit with us?”

“I wasn’t planning on staying much longer, but if you insist.” Joel was being honest in that he had planned to head home to Orago district. That was until the girl behind them muttered that so much had changed. What could she have meant by that? The girl was dressed as though she had stepped out of a time machine – not that there were even such things in existence. Not in reality anyways. Joel’s ears peaked again, when he heard the following remark again aimed at no one. “I wish I couldst return to mine slumber…”

That was enough for Joel.

“Go on and ask then, Miss Blackbane.”

Joel shifted in the booth, so that he could make room for the girl if she should happen to join them once Ava asked. Ava’s face however showed concern, which had Joel glance back at the girl again. Indeed the young girl was deeply troubled. Her lips pouting – a very real sadness showed. The tea and biscuits may have helped stave off hunger, but it was not enough to take away the sorrow. Who was this girl…..and where did she come from? More importantly, now that Joel studied her garments more closely…..when?

“Are you okay?” Ava called, bringing about the focus again of the entire cafe upon the young girl sitting alone in the next booth. That was the last thing she needed. Joel decided on action. Sliding across and out of the booth, he took the few steps and crouched down so that the girl could stare directly into his somber grey eyes.

“Please Miss. Come join us. We might be able to help you.”

Whether or not Joel could help remained to be seen, as he didn’t know the truth about the girl. Not yet. Joel offered his hand to the girl for her to take. Such gentleness in his expression, where from earlier he looked at the waitresses so differently. The young teacher could change emotions as easily as blinking. He waited patiently for the girl’s response.

Tea and Biscuits – BC.

Scene setting : The Peach Cafe – Blood City.

co-written with Temp and Gene.

Temp:  What in the world was this place? There had been a fair bit of knowledge given to Selina by her Grimoire about this time period, but none of it really clicked with her. Gigantic stone buildings littered the area around her, and large metal rectangles moved at high speeds down large paved roads. None of this was even possible in the time that she knew so well, but that time had long since passed. Centuries had gone by while she slept within her sealed crystal, and for some reason she was now awake and in this strange land. Her Grimoire, Tallulah, had explained that the crystal had opened due to her own powers leaking from within, but it still explained so little. Her purpose in life had completely changed, as had her very persona. There were now two very different sides of her, one which was extremely vile, and one that was very confused and timid. The latter was what she was experiencing right now, though earlier she had been her true self. In a way, her ‘dormant’ form had a personality and mind of its own, one which disliked the ‘awakened’ form and it’s methods. Unfortunately, the awakened form was her true self, while her dormant form was something that managed to form during her slumber. Her goals and life were conflicted and a mess, but she at least had the resolve to continue with this new chance at life. She only hoped she could keep her true self at bay as much as possible.

After exploring the city for a fair bit of time, Selina found herself to be rather worn out. Her belly ached, her throat was dry, and her legs ached from the extensive amount of walking. None of the wordings on buildings really made much sense to her, so trying to find some place to rest was proving difficult. Until she stumbled upon a place called ‘The Peach Cafe’. Cafe seemed familiar to her, and if she remembered correctly it was place that she could actually utilize. Her small body eventually stepped into the cafe, where she found herself to be the new center of everyone’s attention. Everyone seemed to be staring at her. Perhaps it was because of what she looked like? Nobody here was dressed even remotely similar to her. Her eyes drooped down towards Tallulah, who was being firmly held against her chest with both of her arms.“Tallulah, would thou be so kind as to dilate wherefore these people art staring at me?” The cat plushy in her arms didn’t make a sound, and due to her very odd wording combined with her speaking to an apparent toy, she drew in even more reactions. “Prithee, doth not look at me like I am some strange creature.” She spoke lightly as she shot a rather weak glare out at the people around her, but somehow managed to get them to look away. Once their stares were gone she let out a weak sigh, and walked over towards the nearest seat. There were two people behind her that were talking, but she payed them no mind, and instead raised her hand into the air. She held it there for a good minute, as if expecting some kind of reaction from someone. After getting no response whatsoever, she cleared her throat with a loud ‘AHEM’, and wiggled her hand while staring at one of the waitresses. “Colours me! I require thy services! I desire tea and biscuits!” Ordering what she wanted wasn’t even something she could get right. Tallulah would be facepalming over and over again if it weren’t for the curious eyes of the humans around her.

It came as as a delight when Ava was allowed to sit. When she brought up the matter that she went to the Acalo school, Ava saw no signs of any emotion letting her know whether she was welcomed for not. Joel had sighed before – it was unknown to Ava the real reason behind it – though she only took it as him not really wanting to talk. The proceeding moments were awkward. Her eyes shifted to the objects on the table and then the photographs on the wall, waiting for him to talk. When he did, Ava couldn’t help but smile in relief. More so, he knew who she was. The thought of excusing herself and leaving crossed her mind seconds before he spoke. As long as Joel gave the impression he didn’t mind her presence, Ava would stay.

“We have crossed paths on occasion at the school, but as yet you are in none of my classes.”

Ava nodded in agreement, “I’ve heard a few things about you,” Her glance moved to his muffin, then back again as she quickly added, “Good things,”

Her composure had been engulfed with formality. She sat, with her legs crossed, back straight, and hands clasped on her lap. A smile was plastered to her face, next to her soft features. Ava ran a hand through her hair, moving it away from her face. No matter how natural Ava appeared, her eyes revealed her current mannerisms to be nothing but fake; the practice of being formal and polite was something she was forced to do time and time again.

“I imagined a girl like you would travel in a pack.”

Ava blinked in an initial response to what he said. Was that the impression she gave to those who didn’t know her? Perhaps it was true; she ought to have a close friends with whom she’d do everything with. Reality was not like that. Since all the students knew one another since they were kids, everyone quickly knew one another. When puberty came, Ava wasn’t deemed ‘good enough’ to be integrated into a close group of friends or a pack.

Ava hesitated, before she finally managed to reply, “It isn’t really my sort of thing,” Her reply had been well thought out and it might have been obvious to anyone she wasn’t revealing the true reason.

All the while, Ava remained oblivious to Selina’s arrival. She was positioned so she had no view of the entrance and consequentially Selina’s arrival. Despite Ava noticing others looking at something, she decided not to be rude and seem as though she wasn’t interested in conversing with Joel. Though, Ava couldn’t deny she was curious. It took all of her willpower not to turn around. However, if Joel made any mention to the new arrival, Ava would proceed to look. If not, she’d hear Selina calling to a waitress.

Either way, her formality would trickle away from her face upon seeing Selina. What in the world was the girl wearing? Her attire looked old; not just old by a few years, but by centuries. And what was up with the way she was speaking? Ava stared, her mind replaying what the girl had said.

“Is she,” Ava paused, thinking of the word, “Cosplaying?” She continued when the term came to her mind, “Why in here?” Even though Ava was speaking aloud, she was speaking to herself instead of Joel; Ava usually found it helpful to think aloud.

Body language says a great deal about the person, and it was clear from the way that Ava presented herself before Joel that she had been raised by someone that taught her manners and etiquette – especially in her posture. Back straight, and with hands in her lap. Ava’s dress gave Joel cause to wonder about her family; the Blackbane. One of the more influential in the city. With money comes power and influence, and yet this girl’s nature was a tad off from what he had come to expect. It was why he had made the blunt observation about how he imagined this girl’s social habits to be. Joel’s eyes followed Ava’s as she stared at various objects in a way to pass the time through the uneasy silence. This gave Joel the time to study her like she was a museum piece. It was amazing what one learns if they are truly observant. We often say more without having said a word. What was surprising however, was when Ava commented that she had seen him about the school too, and had heard things. This intrigued Joel, till she mentioned that she had heard good things.

“Really? Are you certain about that?” Here he was questioning her about such rumors. Joel was something of an enigma – a lone wolf. Not one to dilly dally in the daily lives of his contemporaries, or his students. He only took on students to tutor who showed patience and a will to learn – something lacking in most of the students at the school. At this point Joel’s grey eyes turned to the shade of a oncoming summer storm – drilling the girl’s as he continued. “Don’t always believe what you hear, Miss Blackbane.” Would this come off as a kind of warning?

Another pause in the conversation, only to be broken when Ava managed to say that travelling in a pack was not her sort of thing. At this, Joel raised his right hand to his chin and stroked it idly as though contemplating her words. Was she truly different from the other girls of her age? He had not seen any other students from the school in the cafe, so perhaps she did prefer her own company. But why? Tapping his cheek twice, he was about to say something when suddenly there was a ruckus being created what could be be described as a girl that looked as though she had stepped off the set of Downtown Abby. But it was not just her clothes that caused Joel to suddenly take his eyes off Ava, but how the girl spoke – and who she spoke to. A cat plushy held tightly within her arms. The young teacher moved his left arm to be draped over the back of the booth, as he candidly turned his head towards the newest customer to the cafe. His grey eyes trailed up and down the girl, taking in the outfit and he could not help but smirk. The girl was quite petite, but her accent. She was not from the city. The girl looked lost.

“Prithee, doth not look at me like I am some strange creature.”

Now normally when a person speaks, it is only interesting if it is addressed to them, but Joel was fascinated – oddly enough by how the young girl addressed the crowd. Instructing them not to stare at her as though she was a circus attraction. But could she not see, that it was the mix of her voice and her wardrobe that brought such attention? Even Ava could not hold back, and wondered out loud if the girl was cosplaying. At first Joel shrugged his shoulders lightly, his head turning just long enough to say. “Well if she is, she has a very good tailor.” The period clothes looked authentic. But Joel’s head snapped back so he found himself staring at the girl when she sang out; “Colours me! I require thy services! I desire tea and biscuits!”

~Tea and biscuts? Colour me?~ These words were definitely not said by some juvenile cosplayer. Keeping an act up like this took either great dedication, or madness. “Why in here?” The whispering of Ava continued, though she was not addressing Joel. Again thinking out loud. Was Ava not used to company?

The waitresses all huddled together, as though they were frightened to even approach the girl. They whispered to each other, pointing fingers, and one girl shook her head as though to say she was not going to go serve the weirdly dressed girl. Seeing this reaction, Joel raised his arm slightly and snapped his fingers.

“The girl wishes to have tea and biscuits.” His facial expression became cold…almost glacial as he stared at the girls with a menace that could not be hidden. “Now.” That word….Now, sent the girls scurrying to make a pot of tea and find a nice size cookie. Joel frequented this Cafe often and he was known to the manager. The last thing the girls wanted to do was upset him. Quickly, one girl came to Selina’s table and placed down a small tray, that had the tea pot, cup and saucer along with a little milk jug. A couple of shortbread cookies were on another plate and by the smell of them you could tell they were freshly made. The girl waited to be paid, but this was when Joel took out his wallet and handed the girl a ten dollar bill. “Keep the tip.” The waitress bobbed her head and hurried away, giving Joel the opportunity to speak to the strange looking girl. “Enjoy.”

Now the girl had her tea and biscuits, maybe she would be quiet and Joel could go back to his studies. Only thing was he forgot about Ava – who was still sitting opposite him. He picked up his coffee cup gently and took a sip, only to say afterwards.

“You were saying?”
