Erasing Imagination – The Kingdom of Greed : PD

Dessy:

Immediately after the girl in red had been pulled away, she went back to normal. And she didn’t seem to remember anything. Weird. But, no matter. She watched with a raised eyebrow as the girl in red threw a cookie to the Jabberwocky. Where did the cookies come from? Coming back, Mariela slightly jumped when Aria ran over and grabbed her hands, jumping up and down. She gave a smile and light laugh, nodding her head. “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! Mammon was so mean to us. I’m glad there is a new princess!” Aria exclaimed, hopping around her. “I’m glad to see you so happy about it.” she said, and then this is when she started following the man. She then turned to the girl in black when she started to introduce herself and her sister.

https://i2.wp.com/33.media.tumblr.com/b1b5e45eb655c2a7a04a5557d02dc9ce/tumblr_inline_n1tjshW6HY1rg5w1l.gif
Mariela gave a smile, then a nod. “I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a more… welcoming welcome.” she said, looking back to the ballroom. “But, welcome home.” she said. She then turned to look at Ayana. “Why did you come to Greed, if I may ask?” she said, continuing to speed-walk down the library. When she walked in, she saw black mist that looked like hands, and he was giving orders. That’s when she gave him a hello. She raised an eyebrow as he poured himself a drink, before shaking her head.

“I was going to ask you the same thing, but I decided to do a little investigating myself.” He said, and Marie titled her head.“I know the story of Alice, but I don’t know why Wonderland is in Hell.” she then said. As the mist came back from the book, Mariela walked over to the table and placed the helmet down, before picking up the hat and the watch. She walked back to Marcus just as he told the mist to get another book. “Scar never leaves his hat…” she stated out loud, before looking at the watch. “What’s this?” she asked, turning it in her hand. She then popped it open, narrowing her eyes. “The hands are moving too fast, and there are only six numbers on it.” she then said out loud. She looked up when Marcus began his introduction.

Mariela’s eyes narrowed when Raul was mentioned. “If you’re anything like Raul…” she spoke in a threateningly tone. The dislike for him could be heard in her voice. Hearing him mention the mirror, that confirmed that it was indeed the mirror that the shattered pieces were from. But that meant… what? Her eyebrows furrowed, and she looked back up as he mentioned his mother. “Why is your mom ob- actually, nevermind.” Mariela said, shaking her head. They had more important matters. “You happened to end Lydia. Good one!” he said, then gave a thumbs up. “Yeah, well. She was a bitch.” Mariela said with a shrug.

She looked down at the book when the mist dropped it, putting the hat and the watch down and leaning over to look at it.“Why is someone erasing the books?” she asked, looking up at Marcus. “A champion?” she asked, and then she thought back on the story. “In the Alice in Wonderland story, a champion had to go and slay the Jabberwocky, saving all of Wonderland.” she spoke. “But the Jabberwocky was here…” she spoke, things slowly starting to click together.“Someone at Greed is the champion.” she then said, turning around to look at Ayana. Ayana was here when the Jabberwocky first showed up, and from the way she entered through the window, it could be assumed she was the champion. But, Mariela was still there too – so it could be her… but Mariela wasn’t positive. She was forgettign the fact about the sword being the only weapon to slay it – the same sword that she was sheathed on her side.

“If this can erase a story, not only are those in it in danger….another book is too. Probably the only one that can defeat the evil. Gee, and I thought I was bad. Whoever planned this from the start was insanely clever. Or a madman.”

The more Marcus talked, the more Marie’s eyes furrowed. As soon as he mentioned a book that can defeat evil, Mariela’s eyes widened. “The Book of Shadows.” she spoke. Immediately she raced to the back of the library, where the book was kept hidden. She grabbed the book, rushing back over to everyone else and setting it on the table, flipping it open and flipping through pages. “This is the only book that can defeat evil.” she said, but looked over when Marcus opened the Alice book. Seeing the Jabberwocky fading, she tilted her head. She reached over Marcus to grab the book and placed it in front of her. “The Jabberwocky is being erased.” she said. “Wouldn’t that mean the Jabberwocky was dying?” she said. It only made sense. If it was being erased from the book, that means it’s not there. That’s at least what she thought. She wasn’t sure if she was correct. She then glanced over at Scar’s hat, before flipping through the book. Scar was the Hatter in Wonderland. If the Hatter was still in the book, that means Scar would be in Wonderland. Right?

That didn’t explain where her family was… She still needed to find them. Mariela seemed to be completely calm by all of this, but in reality she was panicking on the inside. Hardcore panicking. How was she supposed to find them, and figure out everything else going wrong at the same time? If Scar was in Wonderland, that meant that they could possibly be in Wonderland if they followed him. If that was true, how was she supposed to get there to find them? This was causing a lot of panic inside, and it’s a good thing she was good at not showing that panic. She looked at Masumi from the corner of her eye, then asked, “Where did the cat come from?”

Sieg:

There were many forces in this world that could drive someone to do stupid things, things that were nearly suicidal, but sometimes this were not good enough, at least not themselves. Sometimes the thirst for revenge seemed too impure and they decided to call it justice, sometimes the love one denied to feel turned into painful care, a thorn in the heart, that somehow ended up digging so deep that it took roots somehow. And as terrible as this was, something like this could drive a man or a woman to do things that seemed impossible, it could drive them to greatness, to break boundaries that nobody else dared to get close to and at the same time do terrible acts without batting an eye. But it all meant nothing without the determination, the raw desire and the complete lack of care for the world that stood before you…it sounded terrible but in the end heroes, villains, and such were always driven by this forces when trying to change the world, a desire, a goal, and enough determination by their side to fulfill it. The trouble of course began when those who stood in between decided to step in, in the end heroes had limits and villains effort to just be “evil” make them predictable…but those who were neither, they were the most dangerous.

Here we are, Kingdom of Greed just like I promised!…pretty cool looking uh?

There was a saying, that sometimes a look or the mere presence of an individual could drive chills down a back and kill the silence, yet in a place like this sometimes that very phrases took a different meaning. Take this two individuals for instance, the first one was just smiling while he remained hidden under the many rags that forced his cloak and clothing, covering him whole as he grinned and opened his arms while from the distance before their eyes the Castle stood high and mighty, scarred, and yet still bearing that sensation of power on the ancient stones that formed it’s walls, a sight to behold if anything, one that the other man did not seemed very interested in. It was this the scary one of the two, cause while the other seemed beggar, this man literally caused the temperature to start descending as his eyes were glued on this place, sightly narrowed as the muscles from his arms tensed. She was there…her very presence shattering for a second his stoic exterior, one that he quickly recovered as one of his hands caressed a beautiful spear that in his hands he held. Despite how cold his hands were, he still could feel her warmth lingering within…as if a part of her very essence remained, from that winged warrior, that angelic and yet frightening lady of the battle, his friend that fell in the hands of the hands of the one who now had shelter within the walls of Greed. For a moment the warmth relaxed him, reminded him of the many battles that together they fought, the many things they did, the many they couldn’t…memories so beautiful that brought the ghost of joy into his eyes that seemed to bear the color of the bark of the trees…until finally they reached that painful one, that end that quickly took care of remind him of his reason to be here

You have fulfilled your word, it amazes me

Told ya Snowwy, I promise and I deliver…so, can I stay to watch?

The cloaked figure seemed to enjoy what would soon take place, yet the one with the white coat remained silent as his eyes raised with a look that made the other chuckle nervously. The one in white, that stood at two proud metres decided not to answer to his request and allow his eyes to give him an answer themselves. They warned him not to push his luck, not to get on the way or treat this lightly for this business were serious for him. And in turn the shorter one decided to be smart and take his proposition away, chuckling to dismiss it as a joke for his own health. Before him stood an Einherjar, once mortal, once dweller of Valhalla who sat at the side of heroes and kings and gained his place to become equals with them by the blade, but it was not this what frightened the traveller but the fact that no matter what he was, one thing was certain, before him stood a warrior, one he did not wanted to mess with

You may leave now, I will have your reward ready when this is over

S-Sure…and hey, if you manage to make a friend in here grumpy, bring them to good ol Venice, I might give them a tour around if you want

The Einherjar was not amused by the other jokes and attempts to get more clients on his business, and he did not hidden his intentions to end his talk soon the moment his hand slowly traveled to the hilt of the blade he had on his back, doing it slowly, as the other started to step back as he laughed a little, being pretty certain that his partner until now would be better off alone, for his own safety of course. So he did not lost a second, afraid it might mean one less second to live, as all he did was direct a thumbs up and a grin at the tall warrior before he jumped down on place and seemed to pass through the solid ground as a ghost, leaving the one in white alone, as he released the blade and turned his gaze towards the structure, still bearing that blank expression on his face. For a moment he took in account what would happened once his journey was over, how he would never enjoy peace of any sort…was it worth it? He his moved up, running along his hand as his thumb ran along the two feathers that were placed an accessory on his hair, one older than the other as he was only meant to have one with him

Valkyrie…cast away by Odin, blessed by Thor…forgiven for your crimes…

For a second the cold seemed to get worst in the area as from this cliff he stared towards the castle that remained far, his eyes carrying a small light in them, a desire for blood, a need for a revenge, to punish those who were guilty one by one, starting by the Valkyrie that made of that place her home. Her hands were stained with blood, and he would not allow that forgiveness was granted to her that easy, not after she took someone precious to him. He didn’t cared who got in the way, who tried to condemn his actions…he would face off against Valhalla itself and destroy it if he had to, if it meant making justice, if it meant punishing her for her actions in the only way he knew. So he stood there, on a hill far from there with a good look of the structure as he gripped the spear tightly as small pale lines appeared on his arm, slowly crawling towards his palm and from there forcing themselves into the spear. The warmth vanished, and the Einherjar looked towards the weapon, for a moment his eyes saddened as before him her face appeared, a mere confident grin that in the past brought up the same on him and that right now only caused something to fall from his face, a tiny drop that crystallized itself before it finally fell to the ground, shattering as he his orbs hardened again

Your judgement has arrived…and you will not be spared from it…no matter the cost or consequence…justice will be made

Nobody would listen, he knew, but this words were not spoken to anyone other than himself, to his inner ghosts, as a way to give him the final push to infuse the weapon, his friend’s weapon with his own icy magics before he tensed his muscles as his body got into position. He wasn’t going to murder her in her sleep for it would not be the same, he would not get an army and pit her against a foe much bigger than hers until she tired out and fell with honor. That mercy was too good for her, no, he would become a thorn in her heart, he would take away her joy and her sense of safety, he would make sure she would have no more place to call home and no person to call family by her side. He would face her then and take her head, and once he did he planned to throw it at Odin’s feet and then claim’s the one from his son, Loki…but that were just plans for the future, mere small ideas, for the moment, he would only make his presence known, remind her that in the eyes of many she was no warrior, no valkyrie, less a murderous animal. So with all his might he threw the spear that moved across the air like if it was an arrow, a spear that moved across the air until it finally reached a window that it shattered into pieces before a moment later it stabbed itself on the floor of a room, the tip of the blade the spear bore in,  digging deep enough into the ground for it to remain standing, as the very floor around it seemed to end up covered with ice that slowly seemed to crawl around, aiming to start covering more and more ground as it seemed unable to contain the power it was infused with. A Valkyrie’s spear that now bore a cold soul…a mere warning shot for the one that lived within that walls

Now…what will you do you animal?…what is your response?

The Einherjar crossed his arms as his eyes remained focused and expectant, as he tried to think of every possible scenario that would take place now. A few more certain than others, but all of them leading to a confrontation that would freeze many people’s blood but not his. He would not pray like others cause to no god he could pray and nor he wanted to, he would not fear for there was no pain left in this world that would hurt him, not even death frightening him anymore. The Einherjar that was baptized Reinier by the Valkyrie that perished in the arms of her sister had a mission, one that one way or the other he would finish, even if meant destroying this Kingdom or Hell itself with his own two hands

Aria was slightly surprised when she felt herself being dragged away by the hood of her cloak, but she simply giggled, and raised her hands in the air as though she were on a ride. Then she heard her sister introducing them, and she simply waved her hands from the position she was in. This girl was as serious as a fluffy white cloud…. It was hard keeping her under control.

As they entered the library, Aria was released from the dragging, and quickly got to her feet with more of her bubbly giggles. Though as everything was getting all serious with the male in the room Aria felt out of place… So what did she do? What she does best. Ruin the mood.

The girl quickly seemed to vanish for a moment before appearing once again before the male. Her face would only be about an inch from his now, and her grin was as wide as the cat’s. You could tell she was being mischievous at the moment.

“You’re a cutie. Try to go on a few dates with her before you guys get to doing the nasty.” she said before vanishing once more.

A trail of rose petals were left in her wake as she left the library, though it seemed she had grabbed the cat from her sister before leaving. Now she was just skipping through the halls of the kingdom, petting the cat, and humming. That was until she heard the sound of glass breaking. At the noise she stopped, and turned to look in the direction that it had come from. It seemed to be the ballroom.

Aria quickly skipped into the room, and was awwed by what she saw. There was a large spear sticking out of the ground, and the floor was beginning to become covered in ice. Aria quickly giggled some more, and began sliding all across the ground, acting like an ice skater. She was having tons of fun…. Until she noticed that the Jabberwocky had begun to shrunk.

“Aww! No! Whats wrong with the Jabber-baby-Wocky?” she asked.

She seemed to have heard its actual name from within the library, but had changed it to be cutsie, and adorable…. Though how a creature that looked like that could be known as “Cutsie” would be well beyond the comprehension of most normal people.

Masumi could tell things weren’t going to be exactly simple at the moment from everything that had happened and was happening right now; she didn’t know what she had missed in the past couple of years, but from what she could tell everything wasn’t entirely sound at the correct level. Mariela was apologizing about not having given them a more peaceful and heartwarming welcome, but to that she simply smiled, unaffected by the fact. She seemed amused by the fact on the contrary, but who knew with this one; she was abnormally calm about everything going on as though it was nothing compared to what she had seen in the past. And in a way, it was.

Ayana didn’t give so much an audible reply as she did a murmur only loud enough for Mariela to hear, mumbling about her having gotten lost like an idiot, but at this point it seemed that Ayana too was calm. After having gone on a rampage, you’d think the Valkyrie would still have some sort of psychopathic mentality with her at the moment, but the fact that she was so calm at this moment was strange to Masumi, who was always abnormally calm. As the two stood on the sidelines of the conversation, Aria decided to… well she ruined the mood suffice to say, with Masumi sighing as she slapped her palm across her face. Ayana stifled a giggle when Masumi leaned over and mumbled to her, asking for a favor. It was a quick sign of trust, but it meant something to the Valkyrie, after what happened. Ayana nodded and crackled with electricity for a moment before bolting out the door as Masumi walked to the table; pulling the Book of Shadows to her slowly.

She had heard rumors, of course, but with Mammon being the sexist bastard that he was she was never absolutely sure as to how or whether or not it was even truly here. She was curious, the book able to summon and destroy any demon at all, it was useful, but the previous owners both had died, meaning the power of two princes were engraved in this book if the legends she had heard were true. Perhaps it wasn’t the only book, but Masumi knew it was invaluable to use if they had to defeat some kind of evil locked away inside of hell. The biggest issue was… what and how?

Masumi: “Is there anything we can do with this? Using this, we may have a chance to get into Wonderland and get back with plenty of time to spare. Is there anyone you can actually call for to help us?”

Masumi flipped back to the very beginning of the massive book, flipping through the pages as she analyzed each page with stunning speed, but what she was reading didn’t help them at all, in fact it only set them back more as most of the spells they were dealing with in here were meant for a trio of witches; something about a Power of Three, located on one of the pages. Then Masumi saw the Dominus Trinus, a spell she wasn’t sure of its use, but it intrigued her. Raising a brow at one of the lines, Masumi flipped back to the Power of Three, analyzing it in more detail as she thought silently. If Mariela wanted to know what she was thinking, she’d probably have to ask.

Meanwhile Ayana was arriving in the ballroom after having hunted for Aria for a moment, only to have a crash echo which drew her to it; luckily it had also piqued the interest of Aria herself, but with the roof creaking and groaning, Ayana let out a groan of her own as she dashed in; ignoring the spear and the ice as the used the metal pipes running through the flooring to magnetize and properly keep herself latched correctly to the floor as she dashed for Aria and the Jabberwocky; she would have grasped Aria by the hood as she jerked up the Jabberwocky. With a mad dash, Ayana rushed from the ballroom, and would have stopped at the entrance just far enough out so that the collapse of the place wouldn’t have caught her, Aria or the Jabberwocky. Knowing it would have come in a few seconds by the sound of it.

Razor:

The Book of Shadows? Of course. Now things were starting to make sense. Marcus uttered a cursed word under his breath, while slamming his fist down on the table. This was why Marguerite was so obsessed with the Greed Kingdom. She didn’t want the crown, she wanted the bloody book. How on earth the book wound up in the library of a Sin Prince was still a mystery, but it did explain why Raul was sent to sniff out Lydia. A foothold into the kingdom so Mother dearest could come and snatch the book right from under Lydia’s nose. Now, his calculating bitch of a Mother had sent Marcus, but the thing was, he didn’t come to the Kingdom to sate his Mother’s wishes – rather to meet the girl that had challenged all the Elders and other rulers in the face of losing her family. Realizing he might have caused concern with his sudden outburst, he smoothed his hand over the wood of the table, before reigning in his temper.

“This is the only book that can defeat evil.” Mariela stated, as she flipped open the book and ran her fingers through the yellow pages. What she didn’t realize was that the book was a weapon and a powerful one in the wrong hands.

”I have a question though. Did you or…Lydia summon any demon from that book?” This question had implications that stretched to the other books in the library. Whether Mariela realized it or not. ”Try to pull something or someone of power using an enchantment…think?” Marcus stared at her with an intensity as he wanted to see if she could remember, considering all the crazy things that were going on right now. In the background, the book of Alice in Wonderland had been showing signs of creatures and writing being erased. One was the Jabberwocky.

“The Jabberwocky is being erased.” she said. “Wouldn’t that mean the Jabberwocky was dying?” The poor witch was asking so many questions and having all these weird things happening all at once. Not to mention the girls that had come into the library. One that had found a strange orange and purple striped cat. The cat didn’t look like an ordinary feline. In fact, it was almost human like, if one could say that. Marcus remembered seeing the massive Jabberwocky when he had arrived and when last he left that part of the castle, the Jabberwocky was in battle with another girl. What was it about this castle and the high number of battle babes? That was going to be a question for later. ”Maybe…you should go see what is happening to it here?” Obvious is as obvious does.

“Where did the cat come from?” Another question. But one of the other battle babes stole the coloured kitty, before making a rather shocking remark or was it a compliment about Marcus and Mariela.

“You’re a cutie. Try to go on a few dates with her before you guys get to doing the nasty.”
”Thank you for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind.” Marcus couldn’t help but smirk at this girl’s boldness, but he only shrugged his shoulders playfully, if Mariela had been offended by it. ”Girls today…I don’t know. What I do after a date has never been considered nasty. Earth trembling…maybe. Orgasmic bliss…possibly, but never nasty.” Marcus beamed at Mariela, before turning his attention to Masumi, who was now intrigued by the Book of Shadows, after losing the strange cat to what was her battle bosom buddy.

“Is there anything we can do with this? Using this, we may have a chance to get into Wonderland and get back with plenty of time to spare. Is there anyone you can actually call for to help us?”

”Probably the only safe bet would be Lavinia’s apprentice. Esme. She’s not an elder yet, and probably the only one Mariela here didn’t threaten.”

Meanwhile, the cat who was being held by the strange girl with giggles and a grin that matched the cat itself, was doing what it normally does when being held oddly. Its body vanished from view, leaving only the head and the tail which swished about behind it. Seeing the shrunken Jabberwocky, the cat let out a loud laugh.

https://i1.wp.com/33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lgg1m9rVOi1qcwsd8o1_400.gif

”It’s a teeny weenie nasty little dragonie wagonie. Not all hell fire and purple smoke now, are ya?’ The cat’s head then popped and only the grin remained, along with the tail. ”Not all powerful in Hell, I see. Red Queen will be mean, when she finds out!”

Fights like a Girl – The Kingdom of Greed :PD

Back at the Greed Kingdom, the Princess has no idea that her family have vanished, while she is getting fitted out to fight the Jabberwocky.

You ever have that moment when you’re so caught up in the enjoyment of the moment you can’t control your thoughts or actions? That was Ayana at the moment, she was caught up in such a creepy mentality that she was even going as far as to run the bottom of her tongue along the tops of her left hand knuckles with a look of what looked to be expectation of the moment. She wasn’t lying when she said she planned to break this beast, and oh he was a fiery one considering the tone of his voice, but it only brought a look of even more glee. As his eyes unleashed their little eye beam, the girl didn’t hesitate to lift a hand, unleashing a torrent of her Divine Lightning right into the beam in the shape of a wall of brilliant, white, crackling energy which coursed and fought off the beam with ease. While that beam was able to char the flesh and burn it away, her white lightning was a different matter all together, the only true way to defend against that was another form of energy; for a very good example, his own sprays of energy and flame, as well as the eye beam. What most didn’t know is… if you didn’t have a way to negate the lightning itself… blocking it was pointless as the electrical energy would still channel through and seize up your muscles to the point of being unable to move. The most debilitating use is paralyzation. Which she did to the Jabberwocky.

https://i0.wp.com/cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbseg/1969/1969374-bigthumbnail.jpg
“Ah, you’re being a very bad boy~ Time to teach you a lesson.~”

Even with the eye beam coming at her wall of lightning, the girl jabbed her sword as hard as possible into the ground, jamming it there before she lifted her right hand and smiled as she charged up a large amount of Divine Lightning around her curled fingers. It was a bit scary how she was finding everything he was doing to be kind of… just plain bad, like he was a child to be scolded in spite of being a massive dragon. Ayana would have pointed her hand right at the Jabberwocky, discharging so much of that holy energy right at him that once it hit he’d be put in excruciating pain; keeping it going she wouldn’t stop till he released his little eye beam, but as she finished she’d just be standing there. Giggling with insanity and speaking with a bit of a tone which told she was going to enjoy every little thing she did to him.

https://i2.wp.com/media.giphy.com/media/XzVsQHjolPdfO/giphy.gif
“Do you give in yet?~ Or do I need to break you further?~”

And with that she just… continued giggling, laughing with such a wide grin you’d think her face was about to split as she let the electricity continue coursing through him and paralyzing him if it had connected, obviously ready to continue dealing out this torturous damage without end.

Dessy:
“Aye…armor, the likes that be fitting for a woman of your stature.” Suda spoke, and Mariela tilted her head. Suda was loyal – that much was obvious. He’s been with Greed since Mammon and never once left. If that wasn’t loyal to Greed, she didn’t know what was. Mariela lifted her head when the ceiling tremored, and dust began falling. “I’m running out of time…” she mumbled, looking back at Suda

https://i1.wp.com/38.media.tumblr.com/b152b13efbe6ac14fdf3be23ade6afc4/tumblr_inline_mlk578fien1qz4rgp.gif
She looked at the armor as Suda spoke. It did have enchantments. That’s what Mariela had assumed. “Power booster?”she repeated. That meant it amplified her powers. Otherwise, made them greater than they actually were… at least that’s what she was getting out of it. That could be useful in many ways. And now that she thought about it, she forgot that she inherited Lydia’s powers. She might have to play around with that one day. That’d be useful.

She kept listening to him as he talked about the powers. “But then again, you aren’t no ordinary witch, are ya?” Suda spoke, and Mariela shrugged. “That’s what everybody else keeps telling me.” she said. “I don’t know.” she said again. She didn’t understand it – but that’s what they said. Mariela took the suit when it was handed to her, holding it up and looking at it. She looked up as Suda finished talking, before looking down at the suit. “Well…” she said. “Let’s try this thing on.” she spoke again, taking the suit and beginning to slip it on.

She then took the gauntlets, beginning to slip those on as well. “Anything else I should know about?” she asked, speaking as she continued to slip the armor on. She didn’t know how much time she had left. But she needed to get to the ballroom.

Razorbackwriter:

Kingdom of Greed – Castle

There was so much about the Greed kingdom that Mariela didn’t know about. Suda, who had been faithful to each reigning monarch for as long as he could remember had always kept busy in his little blacksmith shop – but there was more to this underground dungeon than met the eye. Dealing with the Princess, while the upstairs ballroom was being turned into a gladiator arena, Suda found himself in a situation that he never expected himself to be in. Instead of whipping on the armor and racing off with sword in hand to go and fight the might Jabberwocky – who was going ten rounds with a lightning sprite, she wanted to know….if there was anything else she should know about.

Suda paused. Standing still…staring at the girl. Perhaps it was time to allow her to be privy to what really had been going on beneath the bowels of Greed castle.

“I was going to wait for a more opportune moment, but…since you forced my hand.” Suda reached for a large lever and pulled hard on it. What happened next would leave the girl truly spellbound and probably in shock. A massive stone wall started to turn around, revelling what was a large passage way. From the sounds of it, there was something going on down the tunnel.

“Guess you should see the lab.” The Lab? What had Suda been keeping a closely guarded secret? Motioning with his stubby little hand, he urged the Princess to follow, even with the loud roars still coming up from the ballroom. “Oh…no rush to go fight the beast, I am sure it will still be there when we are finished…NOW…welcome to Greed central. It is here that we are working on new and wonderful ways to defend the Kingdom.”

If she was to look, she would see an army of dwarves….more than Snow white ever had, and they were doing everything from making swords, to testing out new flame throwers against other dwarves in special protective suits. In the background a young dwarf was tinkering on what looked like a special gauntlet. Rupert…was his name and he was sporting a large pair of blast goggles and had a blackened face. His lab coat was covered in singes, and he smelt…like crispy bacon.

“Rupert…I have someone to introduce to you.” Suda then mentioned to Mariela “This is my son, who is training to follow in my footsteps.”

Glancing up, Rupert turned off his blow torch and shifted the googles off his eyes. He’d not seen Mariela before, and had no idea who she was.

“Can’t you see I’m busy?’ Rupert was not the most polite of chaps.

“Son…this is the Princess of Greed. She is the ruler of this Kingdom. Show some respect!” He was typical of youth of the day – outspoken and brash.

“Ah yes…the legendary Princess of Greed. You’re the one that turned Lydia into slime. Nice work. I hate to say it, but…you don’t exactly look the evil ruler type to me.”

“RUPERT!” Suda couldn’t believe his son’s brutal honesty. Yes, she didn’t look evil, but then again looks could be deceiving. The young dwarf coughed before shrugging his shoulders. “I thought women liked to be told nice things.”Poor boy was trying to pay her a compliment. Dragging his hand down his face, Suda then asked Rupert what he was working on.

“Care to give a demonstration of that…gauntlet?’ This was a prototype that had yet to be tested out properly. Rupert was a bit shocked that his father wanted to do a presentation…especially with the noise coming from upstairs. A piece of the ceiling dropped down as you could hear the Jabberwocky going off the deep end.

Rupert carefully lifted the gauntlet off the stand on which it was placed and then fitted it to his hand.

“One size fits all, comes in an array of colours….” he twirled his hand around and wiggled the fingers. “High quality adamantium, which we harvested from a passing chap who looked a lot like Hugh Jackman.” He coughed, then continued. “Retractable claws, capable of tearing through any fabric or metal. Perfect for playing tic tac toe on a dragon’s face….ALSO it throws a net of plasma when you press this button….right…here!” Rupert pressed the button, only for the net to shoot out and hit a passing dwarf, pinning him to the wall.

“Test 27….ah a direct hit. Sorry about that, Wilson.” Rupert saluted the dwarf stuck to the wall, and then continued. “This button activates an invisibility cloak device…which makes the wearer invisible to the naked eye. Rupert clicked the button and then he simply vanished from sight – though..you could still hear him.

“As you can see….or rather not…this gauntlet is a wonderful addition to your armor, M’lady. Thinking about making you matching boots to complete the ensemble. One can never have enough of those. So…any questions?” Funny thing was…he was still invisible.

Upstairs, the Jabberwocky was getting as good as he was giving. Ayana had released a powerful lightning beam to counter the fire blast from his eyes, with a spectacular ball of power now hovering between them. The plucky little fighter was not about to be giving up anytime soon. And neither was the Jabberwocky. The bitch had used her spear strikes to incapacitate the creature, as well as wrap him in a type of binding hold, but there is always other ways in which to fight. What the Jabberwocky did not count on however, was the use of her holy powers. Strange you might say for a creature who was in the very bowels of hell, in a sin Kingdom. That alone was enough to make you question everything. The Jabberwocky let out a terrible noise of pain, with his muscles twitching and contracting during the onslaught. But there was one thing the beast was capable of and that was being able to continue to fight through the pain, as bad as it was. If he couldn’t move the bulk of his body and his eyes still could, he directed the fire beam to the iron chain that supported the very new and shiny chandelier, that was hanging right over the plucky little lightning strike. With a great exertion of power, he fired a blast that would sheer through the chains, causing the chandelier to swing and then fall…..plummeting at speed towards the girl who was in its path of landing. This was to serve as a distraction and give the Jabberwocky the chance to regain some strength of movement, to break through the debilitating lighting strikes.

The Homecoming – The Kingdom of Greed : PD

Mariela, Scar and her brothers had returned from their visit to the Witches Circle, where things hadn’t exactly gone as well as one would hope.  Leaving the Kingdom virtually unattended, it allowed for the start of new dramas…just as Esme had warned.

Dessy:

Kingdom of Greed – Castle
It was silent as they headed back to Greed castle – with good reason, most likely. Mariela wasn’t sure what was to happen now after the events at the Witches Circle. Considering she just threatened everyone there, as well as the other kingdoms, it probably wasn’t a good thing. But Mariela was prepared for anything they intend to throw her way. She turned her head to look behind her, seeing Tessa and her brothers following behind. She gave a smile, before turning to look at Scar.

https://i0.wp.com/38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lopm0gZ6hM1qkr7pk.gif
“Well. Looks like I have made a few enemies…” She spoke, clenching her teeth together and making a bit of a face.“Threatening them probably wasn’t such a great idea. Might have been a mistake, actually.” she said, coming to this realization. “But I guess all royals have to have a few enemies, right?” she then said with a shrug. She gave another smile, before looking forward as they climbed up the steps to the Greed castle, giving a nod to the guards.

https://i0.wp.com/31.media.tumblr.com/603d4993090ca733cb4cce9684f193ef/tumblr_mgdc14GmlH1rmg3v8o1_500.gif
She walked into the castle, the door shutting behind them as she turned to look at everyone else. “Now, I suppose the first thing we should do is check on Alice.” she said, moving her hands up to untie the cloak from her neck. “I don’t know the girl, and being how she came from the mysterious place behind the mirror, I don’t much how much she can be trusted.” she said, now taking the cloak and draping it over her arm. “I know she’s a friend of yours, Scar, and you know more about her then I do. I just… don’t quite know what to think of her yet.” she said, looking at Scar.

She then turned her head to look at Tessa and her brothers. “Second thing is to get you three home.” she said, moving her eyes between the three. “You three have been here long enough, and I don’t want you guys to still be here should anything major happen. So we need to figure out a way to get you three home.” she then said, looking back at Scar. He should have a way, right? She certainly hoped so… “Now. Let’s go find Alice. And hope she didn’t get into any trouble…”she said, turning back around to start walking forward again.

Re: [RP]Kingdom of Greed – Castle

It wasn’t such a good idea, to have left Alice behind in the castle, while the group had gone off to see the Witches Circle. Alice was from Wonderland, a place of magic and wonder but also some very dark creatures. Having snuck out of her room in the tower, Alice was feeling a little lonely. The young girl had some friends on the other side of the looking glass, and since Hatter and the Princess of Greed had left her to her own devices, Alice decided she was going to use the mirror in order to bring in some much needed companions.

Carefully sneaking down the winding stair case, she kept an eye out, as guards walked past on their rounds, checking that everything was as it should have been. Giggling to herself, the girl in the blue smock dress skipped out when the opportunity was right and made a dash for the ballroom. Recently reconstructed due to the damage that had occurred during the Masked ball. The magical mirror that had been loaned to Lydia by Raul was still hanging in the same place that the gardening staff had left it, and oddly enough a mystical fog was pouring out of it, like a rolling mist. Thinking that this meant the mirror was still somehow connected to Wonderland, Alice clapped her hands gaily, and danced up to the mirror, singing out.

“You can come out now and play!” She bent forward and peered into the mirror, thinking that her side kick – the white rabbit would come bounding out of the glass. Instead however there was the sound of men yelling…their feet pounding on the other side of the mirror, till all of a sudden, a whole deck of soldier playing cards both red and black came flying out. Spears aloft, but they were actually running from something…..something large.

Alice squeaked and fell back as the playing card soldiers leapt over her and ran around the ballroom, trying to assemble into defensive formations. You could see that they were terrified…of something.

“But the Queen of Hearts is dead…..What is wrong with you deck of fools?” Alice cried.

One of the soldiers then pointed as he stuttered.

“You…forgot about….about….the…” He could barely finish the sentence, when there was a god awful roar. The mirror was actually growing in size to accommodate the bulk of the creature….the monster that was making its way through to the Greed ballroom.

“It’s the Jabberwocky!”

~ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR!~

https://i0.wp.com/i.imgur.com/ZLmj6Th.gif

Alice turned around with a horrified expression, her hands coming up to slap against her own cheeks in terror.

“HATTER!!!!!” She screamed as the playing card army all looked up at this most terrible sight.

The creature unfurled each of its wings one at a time, with the tips smashing into the ceiling, before being extended out like massive bat wings. When the wings were unfurled, the elbows came down to the ground, to help the beast to walk forward. Its over sized head had a leathery frill neck that splayed out -with razor sharp teeth that were capable of biting right through skin and bone with ease. it was different to a dragon, but more like a demonic beast with oversized wings. A creature of the purest evil, one that showed no mercy or remorse. It’s pleasure to kill and destroy all in its path.

While Scar had been following along with Mariela, and sadly acknowledging that the whole trip to the Witches Circle had been a mistake, he suddenly heard the terrified screams of Alice, followed by the din of many a soldier. It was only after he heard the mighty roar of the beast….the Jabberwocky, that he knew that Alice was not the only one to have made it through the mirror.

“I think…trouble found her.” Scar cried, as he took hold of Mariela’s hand to run towards the ballroom, and where the newest nightmare to befall Greed had already begun.

You know that moment when you leave somewhere only to get lost the moment that you walk out? That just happened to be Ayana at this very moment, she couldn’t really say she was happy about the fact, because she wasn’t, and why would she be anyway, but she was definitely pleased that she hadn’t come across anything that was really… aggravating. Of course, with the fact that she had to leave Asgard because of something so easy to have avoided was annoying and shameful in its own way, but even then she carried on with what task she had been given; taking control of this damned power that was afflicting her now. Ayana thought she was going to stay lost for a while, till… of course… things HAD to go wrong. The Valkyrie gave a jump as she heard that damnable roar, not sure where it came from, but she had been walking towards the large castle nearby and with this happening… oh the Valkyrie really didn’t think it could go much worse; of course she was wrong as always.

“….Well, time to test this. Thundering Dash!”

~A few moments later~

With the sudden sound of thunder roiling through the kingdom, it probably wouldn’t be clear what was happening at the moment, but with the Jabberwocky running rampant inside of the ballroom nothing was truly clear at the moment other than there was trouble; at least to Ayana that’s how it was. She didn’t know what the beast was, nor why it was running rampant, but it was definitely something Ayana would bite; she was a Valkyrie after all, combat was her forte and something she could do without a thought in her head. Slamming through one of the glass windows, the bolt of lightning only lasted a moment as it slammed into the head of the Jabberwocky, slamming it shut as it prepared to roar once again with the Valkyrie becoming visible with a raging amount of lightning on the spear. Flipping off of the creature, she dropped it midair and called on her naginata, swinging it so that the long bladed weapon had its edge pointed towards the ground with bright white lightning trailing behind it.

“Well then, been a while since I saw a Dreki(Dragon). …Or a type of one anyway.”

Who was she? She must have been insane… maybe… who knew. Perhaps she was just a battle ready maiden. Obviously, it was the latter.

“I may have to release the seal if this is stronger than I’m expecting… expect the unexpected, huh.”

Re: [RP]Kingdom of Greed – Castle
Mariela was certain that they could get back to the castle in peace, and not have any other problems. Mariela was about done with today, and was ready to greet the new day. A lot has happened today, and it was a wonder how she managed to stay so calm during all of this. You’d expect her to have rage quit by now… but she hasn’t. She was still somewhat calm during it all.

They were walking back to the ballroom, and Mariela was anxious to get her family home and away from all of this. But at the sudden sound of a loud roar, Mariela stopped and turned her head. “What was that?” she asked, but Scar already grabbed her hand and ran towards the ballroom, the trio following behind them. Mariela stopped and widened her eyes, looking up at the big dragon-like creature. She took a great, frustrated sigh, closing her eyes slightly as she did so, before opening them and looking back. “Scar… what on Earth is that?” she then asked.
https://i0.wp.com/33.media.tumblr.com/8b2b7d3a6088249de25646dccb171cd6/tumblr_inline_mlcxo4Qtzm1qz4rgp.gif

Just when Mariela thought things were over… apparently not. Now, she has some giant dragon-creature-thing ruining her ballroom that they just finished rebuilding. She huffed in frustration, and then whipped around to face some guards. “You. Get them three and Alice out of here. Now.” she spoke, pointing for them to lead them out. She then turned to Scar and opened her mouth to speak, before the sound of thunder was heard. Then the sound of shattering glass was heard, and Mariela jumped back when someone seemed to have came from the window.

“I have no idea who that is, but I’ll thank her for the distraction later.” she said. She grabbed Scar’s arm, quickly running, and trying to avoid the shattered glass, to a hallway. “You know this thing better then I do. Is their a weapon or something that can defeat this thing?” she asked urgently. “I don’t know how long that girl can hold it back… but there has to be something.”

Re: [RP]Kingdom of Greed – Castle

Scar could hardly believe his eyes. The sight of the massive Jabberwocky took him totally by surprise. Sure, he had heard of the legend, that the Red queen kept one as her favorite pet, but he had never been privy to see it either in a cage or in the midst of battle. The fact of the matter was, it had come out of the mirror, just like Alice, and by the looks of it, both the red and black playing card armies. The Princess of Greed, his beloved Mariela was asking what the hell it was…and Scar tried to answer her the best way he knew how.

“More of a nightmare than I.” Never a truer word was said. The creature was the embodiment of evil, and not only did it roar loudly, it also had the ability to speak common. As it opened its mouth, showing off rows and rows of razor sharp teeth, a loud bang occurred – the window just to the right of the beast was smashed inwards by a force that was beyond that of Mother nature. A crack of lightning struck the head of the Jabberwocky with enough force to make it snap its mighty jaws shut.

Blinking at this sudden turn of events, Scar could not help but whisper to Mariela “Did you do that?” But, it was not Mariela that caused the diversion, it was a plucky girl that had appeared, holding a lightning charged spear, and she had just flipped off the Jabberwocky’s own head and landed with gymnast like grace on the floor of the ballroom.

Who was this girl? A maiden of white and blue, that scar had never seen before. She certainly didn’t come through the mirror. The girl was talking, but maybe it was too herself. A battle with a Jabberwocky was not exactly the place to make formal introductions. One thing was clear, she was here to fight the beast of Wonderland, and the Jabberwocky turned its attentions on the dangerous little sprite. It snarled viciously, splaying out its frilly leather like neck to make its head seem even larger than before. It was smarting from the lightning strike, and the low rumble from it’s belly indicated that it was hungry……Hungry for the little blue lady.

https://i0.wp.com/36.media.tumblr.com/8dcdd448ac3b19c65423059bb47c77c6/tumblr_ms2jm99TPR1rawb5do1_400.jpg

“GET IN MY BELLY!” The Jabberwocky roared as it opened its mouth again, but only this time it released a purple and mauve coloured spray of energy, that crackled and blasted towards the girl with the spear with as much ferocity as her lightning strike had.

With the girl being caught up in the fight with the beast, Scar waved his hands for the nearest guards to get Tessa, Sam and Sean to safety, while Alice was still hiding in behind a large file of playing card soldiers. She was too scared to move away.

Scar was now trying to get Mariela out of the way too, but she wanted to know if they had a weapon in the castle that could defeat such a beast. It took a good minute or two to think of something, till he suddenly had a flash of memory about a sword that he had seen in a glass display case in the blacksmith shop. The shop run by Suda, the dwarf.

“Mammon’s sword! Down in the work shop of Suda…..its all I can think of!” He had to shout to be heard over the roars and terrified screams that echoed throughout the ballroom.

Oh Ayana was not pleased with the current turn of events at all, but she at least was finding a decent time to take control of the current situation with her powers. Which meant it may be a good idea to get the others out of here, but first… precautions had to be taken to prevent something from going wrong once she did unlock the seal; meaning she did one thing. Turning around for a moment she reached into her armor and hurled a stone tablet to Mariela. It was inscribed in two different languages, one was Old Norse, of course, and the other in the common language. The words inscribed were as such: The trickery of Loki undone, the skill of Thor turned to strength, the all seeing eye of the All Father opened; knowing the desire of her heart. By decree of these words, the seal is done, and the Valkyrie shall be forever masked with a power greater than hers.

“That’s a seal to replace the limiter on my true form, you’re going to need it if I use it! Now get the hell out of here, things are about to get really ugly! OI YOU STUPID FOOLS! QUIT LOLLY GAGGING AROUND AND TOSS ME A SHIELD!!!!!!”

That last sentence hurled at the dumb ass cards cowering from the massive dragon while a maiden fought, it was a sight to see in all honesty. They were supposed to be men, and instead they cowered like school girls. Humph. Pitiful.

https://i0.wp.com/i.gyazo.com/faeb3b80b879d5535b29e6dca78eb210.png

Spinning at the Jabberwocky, Ayana’s naginata was already positioned as it became wreathed in brilliant white lightning while she swung straight at the dangerous, roaring beast with his stream of violet flames. With a ferocious battle cry of her own, the girl lashed out at the spray of energy and sliced through it; creating a wall of lightning which took it on as she wreathed her own body in lightning.

“Thundering Dash!”

Shooting into the air with a crack of thunder, Ayana landed on the roof within the second and then called on her halberd with its ax blade, letting herself fall down within a moment as she brought it down with all of her strength; roaring at the top of her lungs with every ounce of ferocity that lay within her being. That beast may have been terrible, but he definitely had a match here in this Valkyrie.

“Thor’s Hammer Blow!”

With the force of the halberd slamming down on the Jabberwocky with enough power to not only slam his mouth shut yet AGAIN, but it also would have slammed his head flat onto the ground while a massive bolt of lightning rained down through the window and slammed into the blade of the pole-arm, making it hammer with even more force that caused the flooring of the ballroom to erupt outwards around she and the Jabberwocky, creating what could have considered a miniature arena.

Should that have connected, she would have again flipped off of the beast while pointing the halberd at the beast, roaring right back at it with all the ferocity of Valhalla.

“Come at me beast! Dragon or not, I will not retreat!!”

“More of a nightmare than I.” Scar spoke, causing Mariela to sigh in exasperation. She took her hands and ran them down her face. “Oh lord.” she then said. All thoughts were interrupted when the glass from the window shattered, Mariela moving away to avoid getting hit. “No. That wasn’t me.” she said, watching the girl land on the jabberwocky and then flip off. That’s when she had pulled Scar into a nearby hallway.

https://i0.wp.com/media3.giphy.com/media/NpyX926gfpC36/giphy.gif
Her eyes shifted to the Jabberwocky when it spoke, before looking back at Scar. It talks?! she spoke. She covered her ears at the roaring and screaming, but uncovered them when Scar began speaking of a sword. “The armory.” she said with a nod. Before she could run off she turned her head when the girl spoke. Mariela reached out, catching the tablet in her hand and looking down at it, before looking at the girl when she spoke. “Great. Wonderful.” she said at the mention of a seal, and to get out of there, looking down at the tablet and turning it in her hand. At the mention of needing a shield, Mariela looked at a guard. “You. Throw her a shield. Now.” she ordered.
https://i0.wp.com/33.media.tumblr.com/ac4b3b82a15f21c194b6e4db02b2912e/tumblr_inline_mlipj442Da1qz4rgp.gif

She watched the guards remove Tessa and her brother, then turned to look at Scar. “Scar. Go get Alice. Bring her with Tessa and my brothers and make sure they are out of harm’s way. Stay with them and do not enter the ballroom.” she said, looking back up at the Jabberwocky. “I’m gonna go to the armory and get this sword while she’s distracting him.”she said, then without another word she turned on her heel and ran off, making her way down to the armory where Suda, the dwarf, and the supposed sword might be at. “Quickly!” she said over her shoulder as she ran off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Opening the door to the armory, Mariela stepped in and eagerly looked around. “Suda!” she called, turning to look around the armroy to see if she can find said sword. “Where’s the sword Mammon carried?” she then asked. “It’s urgent!” she called again, tucking the stone tablet under her arm.
Re: [RP] Kingdom – Pride Castle
Salem merely raised an eyebrow at the sight of his portal just being destroyed by those demonic flames, not really feeling threatened nor worried about what happend before them. If anything his annoyance only increased enough for him not to feel fear as this intruder decided to speak to Alaric. In the end it was the way he saw this creature, as an intruder, one that demanded but gave nothing than useless shows of force in return for his demands…and if anything, the genie felt like if poison was running through his veins as he heards the words he said…and that tone. But his face masked well the desire he heard to close a portal around his neck if with that he made silence
Brute…coming here and demanding things without even having the proper manners…
If anything the genie’s dark thoughts were fueled by the similarity between this man and one of his past masters, some persian warrior from the past that the genie to this day smiled as he imagined his ultimate fate at the hands of a poor slave who drove a pair of scissors through his neck the moment he tried to pry her legs open. It was something he couldn’t help, the genie did not enjoyed brutes, he despised them with every bit of his soul, and even if this so called Ikki was not one, his actions already gained him the dislike of the ancient creature bound to the Prince of Pride
With no disrespect implied, if a conversation was what you desired we would have been all happy to have given one…but no creature has the right to feel offended by the lack of one, when they display such hostility without justification
Salem seemed to behave like a good servant, being respectful of those in the room even if deep inside he desired to gut this creature and hang it upside down on a boat so the birds made quick works of the remains. But he couldn’t…he needed to keep the appearances and so he did, just stating the facts as again his sands seemed to seeming appeard out of thin air as they both rebuilded the Golden Gate this creature destroyed as he just fixed any structural damage he may have caused using the magic contained in the sands. Afterwards he spoke, still that respectful and collected tone in his voice, as to the eyes of others he may have not seemed the least bit bothered
If a conversation you desire, you will have it, but it will require for you to stop your hostility towards this lands and the Prince himself before anything…and of course, clearly state why of all places your suspicious leaned towards this kingdom, of the many that could have performed the action that caused you to come here seeking answers
Re: [RP] Kingdom – Pride Castle
Kingdom – Pride Castle
The situation was coming to a head. From the words of the intruder, known simply as Ikki – a servant of the Lord of Envy, he was on a fact finding mission, that was to catch the culprit or murder the one that had slain the former head of Envy. The simple destruction of the golden gate the first time, along with further ill words being thrown around were not helping matters at all. Time for talk had come to an end. There was no correlation between whispers that the Pride kingdom had anything to do with Envy and the untimely death of the former Prince. To know the truth, one needed proof. Proof that would not be obtained between the walls of the Pride enclave. While the Prince himself was beyond annoyed by this stand off before him, the genie had chosen to use his tongue once more to bring the stale mate to some sort of conclusion. At the same time, he also engaged in bringing back that same gate that had been destroyed oh so easily. The Naga chose this moment to make his move. The great green eyes of the snake closed tight as the fabulous jewel that rested between its eyes was absorbed into its own skin. With that dissappearing from view, the snake began to morph into a full python. It’s body beginning to turn left – unravelling the massive coils as it created a perimeter around the Genie and the intruder. This ….circle would pass before the Prince of Pride as a method to shield him, whilst at the same time preparing a diversion.
When tail met head, the head of the massive naga reared up and it was then it did something very unusual. The jaw of the snake slackened, allowing the depth of the snake’s throat to be seen. But there was something in the serpent’s mouth now. Right at the back of the throat.
The jewel.
One thing about the Prince was he favored his own reflection, being a proud fellow. This meant that the Throne room itself was dotted with many mirrors and even small cuts of glass that was reflective. The naga chose to harness his environment to do a spectacular feat. A loud and terrible hiss came from the naga as the jewel was activated. The power of the jewel was a brilliant show of light, that rocketed out of the naga’s mouth and bounced off every single mirror in the room. This created a huge criss cross affect of light. Blinding enough to make it difficult to see, and possibly create a reaction from the invader to fall into the newly constructed Golden gate.
Ikki had been listening to them speak politely, and he didn’t care that he had offended the Prince of Pride at all, if he had then he wouldn’t have done it in the first place if he had to be utterly honest with you to the full degree; however, he wasn’t surprised that the man’s minion was callous enough to actually assume he had the ability to say Ikki had started the fights. He was defending himself from guards who took it upon themselves to attack him when he was being peaceful at first, and normally he would have exploded from that and snapped back at the male, rose his sword against him and challenged him; but it was obvious that at least one servant of Pride knew how to defuse a situation. Thankfully, Ikki took the hint to that and instead of fighting, he simply covered his eyes and decided to head through the portal as fast as he can… teleporting out of the place as he got the hint.
Pride castle throne room
The nagas’ light show didn’t come as a surprise to Astaroth, he’d seen it happen before and it just so happened that his eyes weren’t so light sensitive as most others. A convenient trait in situations like these, he didn’t get blinded as easily and usually wasn’t all that surprised by it. He felt the intruder’s presence fade and disappear and shifted to a more peaceful appearance as soon as the man left. A different one from before as he wasn’t all that aware of his shapes and usually forgot if a lot of things happened in between. He usually blamed it on his lack of an appearance.
Is it just me or have I been threatened today by my supposedly faithful servant and then again by some servant of a prince I don’t think I’ve even met in addition to being maybe accused of killing said prince and being a brainless child and a coward?” he asked as soon as the light dimmed down to what was normal for the throne room. “Because I don’t really understand what just happened.” he sighed.
This incident, though, acted a little like a wake up call. Astaroth needed to know more about what was happening in hell. It wasn’t enough to sit on his throne on this island even if he didn’t get to go anywhere. He might be stuck, but he was the only one. Everyone else who inhabited the island could leave at will and bring information back. He’d have to send out spies of his own. Make a league of spies specially chosen by him for skills that would make them nearly impossible to spot. He’d choose someone to represent him in the other kingdoms if he was ever invited somewhere and take part in everything he possibly could take part in. The best thing he could do, however, was to find a way to break the seal that held him on the island so he himself could travel when he needed to.
Salem, find me a raven.” he smiled at the genie and waited for him to leave before turning to the nagas. “How do you think is best to send a request to the witches? I’m thinking some of them may know about binding angels.” Astaroth did know almost every sigil there was for warding and several ways to seal angels, but he’d never thought he himself would be stuck as he always thought he’d stay in heaven and help others with healing or learning.
I also require to meet the stealthiest of my legionnaires. I think I need to set up a network of spies throughout hell so that I can get information that would otherwise be lost due to my unfortunate living arrangements.” he suggested with a smirk. “I believe I need to participate in this game of power. I have spent too much time on moping, don’t you think?” he shook his head as he walked past the nagas and gestured for him to follow.
I’m sure I have plenty of weapons to share with the soldiers and all of them are good, many even crafted by the angels. I believe holy items work best on demons, don’t they? I will take a few for myself but we can distribute the rest of them and then make sure the armoury is stocked of enough weapons so that every soldier will have at least one.” he walked from the throne room at a brisk pace towards his own private armoury of weapons that would eventually go dull unless he used them, or someone else.
Oh, and don’t forget. I don’t like it when I’m threatened by people around me, especially not when it’s a death threat for when I show weakness. Give only the neccesary information to Orimitsu. He is, after all, only supposed to be my mount.” he had noticed earlier, just chosen not to deal with it. “I do believe the way in which he spoke is not a way one should speak to his master, am I right?” he had always liked the nagas more anyway and now the genie as well even if the male didn’t seem to change his attitude much from neutral, but he clearly had a sense of humour. Something Astaroth appreciated.
He suddenly stopped walking about midway to his room of weapons.
Do you think that even if I’m the only one with this stomach ache, that I should have a doctor come for a visit just to get a second opinion on my health? You know, before we go to the extremes of preparing for an attack that might not even be coming.” he suggested. As an angel with healing powers, it was unlikely that he missed a sickness in his own being. But there was always the slim chance that he did, right? “Yes, I think that might be wise. Although it is highly unlikely that I missed it. Can you send a messenger or do we have one situated here?” he asked and then shook his head in disbelief at his own lack of knowledge for his own troops. He definitely needed to step up his game.
Re: [RP] Kingdom – Pride Castle
As soon as Ikki left, the genie physically relaxed quite a bit as he just allowed a rather loud sigh to come out as the Golden Gate just vanished just around the same time that the light being created by Alaric did…only to reveal, surprise surprise, that the genie had called upon a pair of sunglasses to help him deal with the blinding light better, an accessory that if anything made him look strangely hilarious considering the clothing he was wearing at the moment. As to why he didn’t just close his eyes and decided to make a fool out of himself wearing that? Well…in all honesty it was for the Prince sake other than anything, and basicly to mask his own annoyance with how this week had turned out, in the end he didn’t wanted that neither the naga or his master would misunderstand the genie’s stressed eyes
Apparently lately you not the most popular person around Master…but then again you shouldn’t worry about the brute from before…I highly doubt he has the brain capability to find out who the killer is…if anything maybe he is going to try to pull that little number on the rest of the princes until they slap his head off his shoulder
Finally, able to go back to his normal self and calm down his own annoyance from the encounter from before the genie made the sunglasses vanish into smoke as he stood there, rubbing his temples a bit as he looked around at the room, relieved that Ikki decided to stop breaking things and just take his leave before he ended up becoming Alaric’s dinner. Of course his thoughts were interrupted by Astaroth request, which caused the genie to look at him with a raised eyebrow…a little confused about the request
Uhm…as you wish Master…I guess…
He said the small part still a bit confused about the sudden need for a raven of all things,but nevertheless he took off without questioning Astaroth directly, just flying off as his legs seemed suddenly replaced by some sort of very thick golden smoke as he flew across the air, leaving by an open window to seek the bird his master requested…even if he did not really knew why of all times he would need it now. This made him thought about his past masters, and the times when they have requested sudden wishes of this nature
A raven…why of all things would he suddenly have the need for an animal?…uhm…maybe it’s like that girl who…no, absolutely no…he isn’t like that…well…I hope…
Trying to shake a rather disturbing memory off from the time one of his most depraved mistresses asked him for a dog, Salem flew across the island in search for the bird that he quickly spotted standing inside a cage along with others of the same nature . The cage was placed on top of the roof of one of the houses, a place where they kept those trained birds to deliver messages outside the island. It may have sounded weird but ravens basicly were among the few creatures that here in Hell did not called so much attention so they were perfect to use as message birds
There we go…you come with me
Salem opened the cage, taking carefully one of the ravens as he just decided to fly back to the castle, taking a single moment to stare at the island below him and sighing deeply, unable to hold back the envy he felt towards the people below. Even if it sounded hard to believe Astaroth was a great ruler, and the people down there were just as happy as they were free, and many of them were willing to give away their lives for the one inside the throne room there. In a sence he felt the same, but he knew that despite all his power they had something he didn’t…and that thoughts never left him
Someday…one of this days…
Salem made his way back into the throne room as soon as Astaroth and Alaric had finished their conversation, his legs again forming as he stood next to the Prince of Pride as he held out the raven out at his lord, hoping that perhaps his assumption was right and he required it to send a message or something of the sorts. At least the bird was trained and it wouldn’t try to bite off a piece of flesh from their finger, so…at the very least it wasn’t an aggresive bird and it was more or less trained
The bird you requested, hopefully this is the type you were searching for…
Pride castle throne room
With the combined efforts of the Naga and the Genie, the disruptive visitor was sent packing through the Golden gate. As soon as the Gate turned back to sand, the Naga closed it’s mouth and the light stopped abruptly. Alaric’s head wobbled from side to side before the jewel reappeared within the Naga’s forehead – the creature now taking on the human like torso once more, but the body was still in the form of a circle that had been used to protect the Prince. it would take a few moments before the Naga was able to shrink back, but in this time he noted that the Genie had managed to find a pair of sunglasses to protect his sensitive eyes. The naga had forgotten about the Genie’s condition, but at the time he needed to create the light to help reinforce the fact that the invader needed to leave the Prince’s castle. The glasses did give the Genie a comical appearance, but as the Prince was still very upset by the events so far of that day, Alaric felt it unwise to try and make “light” of the situation.
Salem was already speaking to the Prince about theories as to why he was now a target of interest by the likes of Envy. Though from Alaric’s understanding, the character with the cocky attitude was in search of facts and no doubt he would be travelling to all kingdoms, not just Pride. You had to remember, there were seven kingdoms in Hell, and as it stood, Astaroth knew very little about his fellow Princes and Princesses. If he was to stay on top of things, he needed to know more of what was happening beyond his walls. His address to the Naga, after sending Salem off hunting for a raven, said as much.
“I believe I need to participate in this game of power. I have spent too much time on moping, don’t you think?”
“I wouldn’t go as far to call it moping, M’lord. Your hands are bound since you are unable to leave the Kingdom. So naturally, I can see why you might find all this frustrating.” Alaric spoke with a refined air, as he slithered alongside his Lordship. “As for the Witches, they are found in the Lands of Dyre. Led by Lavinia the Elder. As with other kingdoms, a summons could be done by raven, or perhaps you could engage Salem’s magic in order to speak to them another way.” It was not the Naga’s ability to speak telepathically to others on another plane. Every creature has its limitations. All he could do was make suggestions.
Approaching the armory, the Prince wanted clarification on whether holy items could repel demons. “I believe that they would be useful as weapons in the case of a demonic invasion. The question is just how big an invasion force it is. As you have said before, you wish to send out a spy network to judge just who is the biggest threat to your kingdom. We still don’t know who it is that has upset your dreams and your thoughts, M’lord.” As it stood, they knew that Envy was in search of the one that killed the first Leviathan. The hound let off the Prince of Envy’s leash had helped to discount that kingdom. That left the possibility of either, Wrath, Greed, Gluttony, Lust and Sloth being the warmongers.
Something else was still troubling the Prince. The words or threats that came from his Dragon – Orimitsu. The dragon did not like the Prince’s behavior, but in making a death threat over it there was now distrust between the Prince and his mount. Astaroth decreed that the dragon was only to be given limited information in future. The Naga bowed at the Prince’s words.
“As you wish, M’lord.” Alaric didn’t want to have to go into that conversation again, after everything that had happened that day so far. It was time to move forward and get on with the job of ensuring the Prince’s protection from external forces. The fact that the Prince was feeling ill in his stomach however, was something that needed tending to as soon as possible.
“I believe we have one on staff that can treat your ailments, M’lord. Calling someone in from the outside would only delay treatment, and I would rather see you healed and ready to face the challenges ahead.”
The Naga bowed once more, before slithering away in search of the Kingdom’s medical center.
Pride castle
It’s nice to hear that. Please go fetch him. If this really is nothing but an upset stomach, I don’t think we’ll have to defend ourselves from anything. After all, my predictions aren’t always…” he paused to sigh and roll his head. “Predictable.” he smiled and waved after the naga. He’d attend to the doctor first and then take inventory on holy weapons later. For as long as there was an illness, the possibility of an invasion decreased considerably. At least the horrible outcome of his or his companions’ death. That knowledge would ease his building stress for the moment.
Astaroth was gazing out a window where Alaric had left him when Salem approached. He turned around with a smile and raised his arm so that the bird could hop on top it so that Astaroth could pet it. He always made sure everyone were as sated and comfortable as was possible, even the messenger birds. After all, if his subjects were happy, they were more likely to do his bidding. Even if it was an unreasonable request every now and then.
Thank you, Salem.” he gestured for the genie to follow. “Now, it has just come to my attention that another raven will be needed. Not, however, if you are capable of getting me in touch with a powerful, knowledgable witch that might possibly help me with my confinement problem.” he didn’t know how it could be done, but the genie’s connection to magic might be of help in the matter and was probably what would make it possible for him to connect with users of magic.
The fallen angel was walking towards his study, his private quarters and personal library. He was most at ease in places of knowledge, so he’d prepared a nice corner with comfortable and simple beddings. That way he could be with his books all hours. He, of course, had another room he used on occasion. One that was as lavish as one would imagine a prince’s bedroom to be, but Astaroth wasn’t someone that took pride in expensive surroundings. He enjoyed the beauty of things and the expensive stuff was more often than not far too loaded to be considered beautiful.
Once inside his study, which was a medium sized room just inside the library, he headed immedietly for his desk which was, as per usual, filled with parchment and scrolls on his current research. Currently it was a study of human morals relating to rulers in the human world that participated in conflict between nations. Before he’d tried to study the morals of demons and to find ways to predict them, but had discovered that there were hardly any previous moral codes for demons to follow. He’d given up the project and instead turned to humans, which were a delight to study.
Astaroth tidied up his desk by stacking the parchment and rolling up the scrolls to place in a box. Everything was tightly organised, marked or stamped so that it was easy for him to put it back or pick up where he left from. Each project was labelled by colour and the colour painted in a book with a short summary of the project and a list of every source he used. Older colours often had observations listed as a source. Something that had disappeared from the book after Astaroth was locked up. A reddish black marked the change of the prince’s freedom, the only colour in the book without a summary for the project was not finished and wouldn’t be until he was free from his prosperous prison.
The prince of pride, Astaroth, requires your services at pride castle. Send word about your arrival date and a flag will be provided for your safe passage over the lake.‘ he wrote in fine writing, each letter clear so that the message would be received without problem. He attached the message to the raven and sent it off.
Now, back to witches.” he stood up and rearranged everything as it was before so that he could easily pick up his research whenever he had time. “Would you have any idea who would be best to contact and know of a way to contact them efficiently?” it wasn’t often that Astaroth became serious, however, the situation called for it. Even if he wanted nothing more than to drink a tasty beverage with friends and attend to his garden.
Re: [RP] Kingdom – Pride Castle
The genie sighed as he looked at the Prince in silence, truly at times getting puzzled by his behaviour towards the creature of this land. It’s true a monarch should respect his subjects if he did not wanted an uprising against him, in fact this was a lesson he learned well interestingly enough back in France. Would you believe he was part of the french revolution? That he had to disguise like the rest of people there in an attempt to blend in while he also had to perform missions to ensure the revolution would survive? He wasn’t an stranger to that at that point, he wore million of masks, served million of masters and mistresses and fought countless times to preserve their ideals while deep inside he awaited for Death to come claim his owner. It was what scared him now, any genie would claim the same, but Death always came to those who held this type of servants…ever observant…always fair and always there as an old friend of the genie. But for the first time he did not wanted to see it, being face to face again as it was Death that would determine who he would serve next…
Uhm…with the witches you say? Well…while a raven might be proper I pressume there is something that can be done
The genie followed his master, as usual always silent but ever present, looking around for a moment at that library found in this castle. He found it funny, funny to think that the very first moment Astaroth granted him a bit of freedom of movement he secluded himself within this room, hidden, believing the Prince would never visit this place and feeling comfortable among the pages of books. It was strange, his younger self would rarely read a book at all and would prefer to listen to information from other people ears…but ever since the moment he was taken from his home, lost everything…books became really good companions all of the sudden, at least, before meeting the ones here…but…even then at times he wished that he could just be with his loved ones…maybe if- And it was when it hitted him, a way to help his lord communicate with the witches after all
Well…seeking an audience with their elder sounds like the best idea I have right now, as for how to contact them, I do believe in this delicate issue…it would be best to go there in person my lord
His tone of voice sounded amused, as he did not explained how he planned to exactily put him in the place he needed to be considering he was bound to this location. No, in fact he explained nothing as he closed his eyes and focused, his sands making a circle around his feet as he noticed a rather concentration of magic somewhere…somewhere he asumed would hold somebody who could direct Astaroth to the elder witch, or someone who could help him. So the genie, repressing an smirk clasped his hands together, the accesories he wore made a sound at the sudden movement as the sands on command began moving forward, spinning without any apparent control in the air until a figure was formed from them, one that seemed a near clone of Astaroth himself…one that landed before him. It was identical almost in everything, except for the fact that it was fully composed of magically charged golden sands
You cannot leave this inmediate area, yet this does not mean that a golem is not able to be your voice and your ears on the outside…of course it won’t last forever but I believe it will work for your needs my lord
The genie smirked, as usual just finding some sort of loop alongsides the rules of a spell like his kind usually did. It wasn’t something so uncommon, and it was the reason that perhaps so many creatures like witches for example were careful around them…they would fulfill their word, but usually getting their way somehow. It was at this point that on his hands another item formed, what seemed to be a crown he held out towards Pride himself, small and simple, with only a gem on the front as the rest seemed like two golden vines starting on the back and meeting at the gem
The moment you place this on your head, the creature of the sands will be taken to a place known as the Witches Circle and you will be able to speak through it, ear what it ears, and your view will be the same. Through I have to warn you, this place is sacred to those like them who weild the mystic arts, so it will be wise that you introduce yourself properly my lord and seek an audience with their Elder, if we are lucky, they will be cooperative…
He did not mention why he couldn’t go in person, but perhaps the biggest reason was that he wasn’t a normal Djinn, he wasn’t free to use his magic like them, if anything he was a genie, and a defective one for that matter and part of him feel ashamed to meet them directly…or even wrost, be detected by another creature such as himself and being made a fool off for requesting the aid of witches and warlocks. Genies usually requested another sort of help, they held their own councils separatedly from the rest of mystic beings…they had their own rules, their own regulations…but he couldn’t resort to them either even if Astaroth desired it more than anything. He wouldn’t bow to the ones who turned their backs on his time of need, that considered an eternity of slavery a good punishment for a child’s mistake…and neither he would meet the witches directly, but he trusted doing this would be better, in the end, even if it would end up being taxing to maintain this golem remotetly, keep the connection and teleport it altogether…at the very least, he would still intact the little pride he had left
Re: [RP] Kingdom – Pride Castle
Kingdom – Pride Castle
Alaric had left the Prince with his next closest adviser – the genie, to go in search of a medical practitioner within the grounds of Pride Castle. Surely they had a few to call on, as the Prince should have a private physician on staff for such emergencies as this. The only problem was that the Prince had visions, dreams as well as the pain in his stomach. The Naga was no medical man, but he knew that this was not a simple quick fix. Going down into the bowels of the castle, he came across a series of rooms where soldiers and the like were treated for wounds, and battle injuries when they were practicing in the arenas and training pits. As a stretcher was brought in by two hefty looking fellows, and a soldier lay upon it with a sword sticking out of his gut, Alaric knew he was in the right place. With blood spurting out and onto the floor, it was easy for someone to slip. One thing that Alaric noticed was the lack of hygiene and the dated tools of trade that were on the walls. The Spanish inquisition had more modern equipment. In the centre of the next room, a woman wearing a nurses uniform was trying to replace a man’s eyeball with a wooden one. The man was grunting and groaning, thrashing about, as an over sized orderly tried to hold him down.
“Stop ya fidgeting, ya daft git. This will only hurt for a bit.” The squishing sound of her fingers working in the replacement eye was enough to make a man gag. She obviously knew what she was doing, but her bed side manner was lacking. There was no way that the Naga could present this woman to the royal court. She was covered in blood and entrails, her hair swept up into a loose bun, with large bottle like glasses that sat on the end of her nose. Finally the eyeball was firmly fixed in place and the nurse shouted out.
“NEXT!”
“Err….excuse me, Madame. I come from the Prince with a request for relief to his stomach pains.” The Naga was still partially in snake form, but the torso was that of a human. He didn’t mean to scare the woman, but she did give a yelp in surprise and fright.
“HORRIBLE HORNY TOADS!…YOU SLITHERING SCALY SNAKE! FANCY SNEAKING UP ON A POOR WOMAN!” The nurse clapped a hand over her right bosom and with her left hand she reached for her work station. It was not the kind of reaction that the Naga was expecting, but he tried to bite his tongue.
“My apologies if I startled you. I merely seek treatment for the Prince.” Trying to reinforce the reason for interrupting her surgery. The nurse came to her senses when she realized that the Naga worked directly for the Prince himself. She let out a huge expulsion of air before muttering under her breath and going over to her medical cabinet. Taking out bottle after bottle, opening lids, sniffing the ingrediants before starting to make a herbal remedy with the Naga waiting in behind her. The smell wasn’t very nice, but then again neither was the surgery. A few grunts and the occassional sneeze, and the woman then turned around with a bottle of purple coloured liquid.
“A spoon full before each meal, without fail and he should be fit as a fiddle in two days.” The nurse sure of her potion and that it would have the desired affect. Taking the bottle from the nurse, the Naga raised an eyebrow. He had to wonder if there was anything he should know about. Like side effects. He cocked a brow as the nurse set to get ready to work on her next patient. An amputation.
“Any…side effects?’
“A little nausea. Nothing he can’t handle. Now off with you, gotta hack off this boy’s right leg.” The nurse shooed the Naga as she held a huge saw in her hand, the patient letting out a blood curdling scream.
Pride castle, Astaroth’s study
Astaroth furrowed his eyebrows in dislike at the sands in his study, he didn’t trust anyone to clean in there other than himself and would hate to have to sweep the room to rid it of leftover grains of Salem’s golden sands. However, as the golem began to rise and take a form that Astaroth assumed was his own at the moment, his frown turned into a smile that he turned towards the genie.
That is magnificent.” he was astonished, as was shown when he walked around the thing and examined almost every grain on it’s surface. “I sure hope it works.” he wasn’t certain it would as Astaroth’s binding spell was quite potent. Although, on that thought, he could meditate and look at people beyond the barrier. Perhaps he would be able to let his consciousness travel with the golem as he could whenever he looked at the past.
The moment I…” he trailed off as he lifted the crown from Salem’s hands and examined it. It was quite beautiful. “I must ask you to guide the goldsmiths along whenever I’ll need a crown, this one is quite beautiful.” he smiled at his friend and lifted the crown to his head before he stopped and lowered his arms.
I must warn you. I do believe that when my consciousness disappears with this golem of yours, my body will most likely turn to that blank nothingness like sometimes happens when I sleep, right? So, as I’ve said numerous times before, please don’t move me or look at me too much. Sight is a little bit tricky to bring back.” he was of course referring to the blank whiteness that was his real, but not so much, appearance. The appearance of someone without one. It was a matter that easily confused people. Much to Astaroth’s annoyance, although sometimes amusement.
The white was bright enough to blind, much like Alaric’s light show earlier, only focused to one spot and constantly moving and changing due to the lack of a definite form. If he were in heaven without a form, it would hardly matter, but he had discovered that demons and others than angels were sometimes weak to this particular kind of light and thus sometimes turned out blind. In the worst cases, their eyes burned. Astaroth liked neither outcome. Eyes were tricky to make and fix. So many details one had to look out for.
Now, I best get going. Do make sure no one gets in, will you?” he asked kindly before putting the crown on. It didn’t seem to work right away and Astaroth was about to speak when a searing pain passed through his head as his consciousness when his mind tried to break through the barrier. Apparently his actual mind passing through in a golem was not allowed. He let out a shrill scream and immedietly gripped his head tightly. And then he was gone. As was obvious when his body collapsed to the ground and his clothes and golden locks faded to white, wings protruded from his back and everything started flickering and moving. What was lying on the floor was a hint of a winger humanoid form. Looking at it for one millisecond would maybe show a fat angel and the next it would be a childlike winged form. Never the same, never any details, only hints. Remnants and never the ones of his real appearance.
[Astaroth, thread change]
The Naga, the Genie and the Dragon – The Kingdom of Pride : PD
Sieg:
Kingdom – Pride Castle
And finally they were three, the naga, the genie, the dragon, the three listening to each other and their lord in this time of crisis as their worried seemed to be the same. The three of them knew that an attack on the island would be something difficult to fend off from, they all knew that they had no allies outside this walls, and despite their combined power was great enough to rival the the other princes and perhaps even surpass them…what hope did they had if their numbers were smaller? Salem had seem some miracle battles during the ages, but it was among men, they were relatively fair in comparison, battles defined by intelligence, tactics, and not by the power they wielded, if anything such powers were just a trump card. But also something else worried him, something he had felt but not confessed for the sake of their lord…
Perhaps this is unimportant, given how perhaps my sensitivity to this is Master…but I had an strange sensation myself not too long ago
Genies were sensitive to the use of magic, and it was not something that came off as weird or unexpected since themselves were basically some strange incarnation magic itself took. Their power was well known, and even if Salem himself was unable to act as a normal genie should, it did not mean he did not packed the same power within his humble form of what seemed to be an elf that decided to spend his life on the deserts. In any case, the information he withheld was mostly something he found pointless, something that would bother their lord more than anything…but given the circumstances that maybe would help them
As you know already my kin have their own type of connection with magic…and not too long ago I felt an strange shift, something you could consider an small wave in calm water, as if somebody’s sands had been…tampered with
Salem never moved from his spot, as he began to ponder about the situation himself as he did during dinner last night, something that came off as normal due to the genie’s own silent nature when it came to any event that involved food. In the table he rarely uttered a word unless it was to answer something, and even then he always tried to cut himself off from conversations to be able to enjoy his food. Still this explained why half of the food he had remained untouched during the whole ordeal
I did not considered important at the time, but maybe it has some relation with your currents sensations…still finding the link between this two events is what worries me, but again as I said, it’s not so uncommon that such things happened
He placed his own grain on sand on the situation, so to say, as he tried to end by reassuring them that somebody messing with another’s life span, their own sands, was not an uncommon thing. Still one couldn’t stop thinking that it was strange that genies could perceive such thing, given that their own race was technically not capable of dying. As strange as it may have sounded, death for them only meant being later on, a continuous cycle which they were gifted with because of the most powerful of their kinds, creatures strong enough to make other more powerful incarnations of them, Ifrits for instance, tremble in fear at the mere mention of their name. To be able to say that this beings that ruled over all genies were strong enough to shrug off Death itself and defy it and win, was enough to understand where they stood
In any case, why would they decide to attack us now of all times? To our knowledge the other so called rulers were to busy among themselves…why would anyone risk a campaign against us? or even worst, who would be suicidal enough to go through with it?
And he pointed out something logical, despite their clear numeric disadvantage if the kingdoms remained in conflict why would anyone prefer to launch a military offensive against them of all people? They had a good defendable position, one that made up for their numeric disadvantage, and they really had anything really that valuable for them to come and risk their well being for taking. Not to count that they had not only the power of Astaroth defending this place but also a powerful Naga, a Primordial Dragon, and also a Genie…it would take some sort of strange obsessive and desperate reason for anyone to risk their neck in such a way. And it was this logic that Salem tried to use to reassure himself, at least more than the rest, that maybe it was their imagination. In the end while they all were certainly very well capable of death, what Salem feared for was a fate a bit worse in his own case, cause if losing them all, even the Naga who despite their trust issues he considered pleasant enough, wasn’t enough…Salem feared about what would happend if Astaroth was truly defeated. In the end unlike them, he was still bind by his own chains…if Astaroth’s visions were right, if someone came here and succeed in taking this place…sadly slavery would be Salem’s fate. And he wouldn’t go through it again, he couldn’t, he would prefer to turn himself into a mice and ask Alaric to have him as dinner
Razorbackwriter:Kingdom – Pride Castle
It was all easy to speculate. To put meaning to dreams, or to associate sickening feelings with the dread of impending danger. The Prince needed to have his wits about him, not be further stirred by the likes of Salem – who unknowingly was only adding weight to the Prince’s suspicions and thoughts. The nagas took to slinking into the background, as the arrival of the Prince’s other companion – Orimitsu. The Primordial dragon was known in all the realms for his enormous power and his intelligence was not something to be ignored. In fact, Alaric was hardly surprised by the Prince’s warm welcome to the dragon. Alaric simply nodded in Orimitsu’s direction and allowed him to speak freely. Especially when he mentioned about already having spies moving about in the outer realms on his orders. The nagas was on the money that intel was the best answer currently to confirm the harrowing thoughts that someone was planning to do the Prince in.
https://i0.wp.com/data1.whicdn.com/images/39669434/large.jpg
Of course, Salem was not ready to give up in issuing further concerns and even questioned as to who might want to harm the Prince of Pride. The nagas may not have had the insight to read the minds of others, or see into the future – but he was more than happy to allay the Prince’s fears one way or another.
“Who needs a reassson to attack? I asssk you. We are dealing with the other six sins and all of them are unpredictable and at sssome point, mad enough to attack another realm without warning. Take Wrath for example. It isss sssaid that Mammon, the Prince of Greed went after that realm sssimply because a woman took the throne. Isss there any clear logic to that? No…..none whatsssoever.”
The Nagas was trying to make a point, and continued, though he wanted to make one thing completely clear to all in attendance.
“This issland casstle is a virtual fortress dessigned to make invassion incredibly difficult for any army. Not only that, you…my Lord are guarded perssonally by three of the mosst deadly creaturess in all the realms. I won’t sspeak for the othersss, but I will gladly lay down my life for you……and I will take a good number with me, sshould any dare to try and mount an offenssive.”
Alaric looked to Salem and Orimitsu to see them both swear to lay down their lives to protect the Prince….come what may. Kiri:
Kingdom – Pride Castle
Ah Orimitsu loved hearing the optimism of Salem so very well, and with the Prince having his knickers in a twist, things couldn’t get much more annoying to the Dragon; however, he wasn’t in the mood to really deal with the idiocy that would follow, and he didn’t understand the need to point out the fact that it wasn’t understandable as to why someone would target them. Since when did anyone in Hell care enough to make sense at all? Orimitsu sure as hell didn’t, he was a dragon, he did as he pleased and nothing more; however loyal he may be. Orimitsu was going to have to take Alaric’s side this time around.
“As Alaric said, they don’t need a reason… this is Hell, no one cares for sense.”
Orimitsu was being blunt about that fact, and wasn’t afraid to do it again if he so needed to do so, but it didn’t change the fact he wasn’t about to show mercy to the idiots that may challenge Pride. While Astaroth may be a child at heart and be the worst embodiment of Pride in the history of this damned kingdom, Orimitsu wasn’t the type to give loyalty without reason and his was slowly wearing thin. Perhaps that is what brought on his next words in response to Alaric.
“While I am loyal and ready to defend him, Alaric, make no mistake about my character; if Astaroth, if you, show any weakness. I will not hesitate to kill you.”
“A wave?” he sat up with his attention directed at Salem. He was aware of the connection genies had to magic, but he’d thought Salem’s connection was weak due to his situation. Perhaps the magical disturbance was that of such massive proportions that no genie would go without feeling it. Or Astaroth had simply been wrong. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time and probably not the last.
He stood up again and placed his hand softly on Salem’s shoulder in an absent minded gesture as his mind had already wandered off to think of what might cause this shift Salem mentioned. He quickly drew his hand off the genie’s shoulder as he was walking towards Alaric and Orimitsu.
“Alaric, friend,” he stopped by his side with a smile, “The day I ask any of you to die for me will be the day the me now would consider myself truly fallen. If that ever comes to happen, I wish Orimitsu take my life and the three of you move on to your own lives.” he turned to face Salem. “That day you will be free at last. I’ll somehow find a way to free you once your contract with me ends.” he said before spinning his body around to take the last remaining steps to Orimitsu. Knowing the dragon’s dislike for his antics, Astaroth took those steps in a bouncy manner and ended with his hands on the dragon’s shoulders as he moved around him as if he were dancing.
“My dear friend, Orimitsu, I pray-“ he stopped himself. He’d come to dislike most words relating to the heavens since he’d been thrown out. Sometimes he avoided them like the plague, other times he just frowned at the sound of them. On rarer occasion he used them himself and usually managed to bring himself down by doing so. “I hope,” he corrected himself. “That the day you need to kill me never comes.” he winked on his way back to his throne.
“No, I’m not surprised someone is coming. It is just the manner of which I am feeling and the vision that bothers me. I expected this would happen once I was given the title of pride and I’m rather surprised it hasn’t happened sooner.” he sighed and let himself fall down on the top of the three steps leading to his throne. “But it seems like these demons take more issue with women than they do with angels.” he shook his head. “It has been very long since I stopped trying to understand them and began trying to live in their world.” which wasn’t so difficult since he lived on top of a hill on an island surrounded by deep waters that could very well be considered an ocean in the human world. Not to mention the water dwellers and forty legions he had on land. Neither were many but all were powerful enough for Astaroth to consider him safe with them.
“Orimitsu… You scout, what are you sending him after?” he asked, in thought.
Sieg:
Kingdom – Pride Castle
Even in chaos there is always something that starts it all, a motivation of sorts that I’m sure any creature down here would require to do something like this…and trust me, sometimes even among other beings, in other times and places sense and logic become a luxury
He answered back at them, still firmly believing that even behind any action, there had to be always a reaction and always a reason for said reason. He did not said it to those two, not to anyone, but it was the way he was raised, the way he explained the unfortunate incident that happened to him…even in madness there had to be a semblance of order just like in order itself was chaos…or so the genie tried to believe, just to justify what has been asked off him during this many ages, by both Astaroth and all of his master
And don’t worry Alaric, it won’t have to come to death if they reach our shores with that intentions…in the end I don’t have a life to lay down in the line, but I do have something much more terrible waiting for any attacker that come this way…in the end I don’t take kindly when my place of residence, or the ones of my allies is threatened
He did not promised something he couldn’t give, he knew well that genies were not cursed with a real sense of death, and he was sure Alaric knew this as well. The genies did perished, but for them perishing was nothing more than a mere step back, a return to the sands just for them to rise again in another form…painful indeed, but giving them a semblance of eternity. Nevertheless, despite this condition Salem would still defend Astaroth for as long as this incarnation of him lasted, for he knew allies were not normal now days, and friends were even more rare and valuable. So he stood there, tensing himself as he felt a hand on his shoulder and listened to what his master had to say
I just hope he is right…going back to a life of servitude like the one I had…I doubt I could continue with it, without losing myself in it
The genie remained as usual, only nodding as he watched them with the same calm and yet serious expression that was always upon his head even the day the merchant arrived to sell him. It was a trait that everyone had to admit that was impressive, that no matter what his expression would remain unchanged and he would keep worried and pain deep inside, but it was a trait that came with age for him. Nobody in this domain knew what he had gone through, especially in this room, since he was sure that both Alaric and Orimitsu in his position would have lay swift death to any of the masters that Salem had on the past as soon as they bothered them enough, but he did not enjoyed that luxury. The life of slave he hated, it took away much of him only to leave a hollow shell of a former being free as the winds, and it was strange that at the mention of his freedom he reacted so poorly, but it was not his or Astaroth fault. He was happy, but also afraid like nobody else in this room…in the end if they ever failed for them death awaited…but for him…it was a lifetime of slavery again, something much worse, and humiliating altogether
He might had felt some sort of inferiority complex…below the waist Master, in the end many of those who have power do it in those situations…they feel castrated when someone they consider lower do their task just as they do, or even better
He pulled off a joke, now of all times, and about that of all things…but always remaining his calm tone and serious expression as he decided to be silent for now, trying to hear what Orimitsu had to say. He knew of the cunning this creature had, so it was no surprise his spies were crawling around outside, in the end by this point every single one of the people in the room had some way to know about the events on the outside, or at least, part of the events anyways
Razorbackwriter:Kingdom – Pride Castle
Alaric had only so much patience that he could muster during this meeting with the Prince. But after a while that was starting to wear paper thin. He didn’t wish to blurt out and say it, but it was already feeling like someone had in fact died, and they were at a wake. Why not just raise the black flags now and begin the period of mourning? Alaric had tried to use sense and logic to allay the Prince’s thoughts, but it had now gone way beyond that, and though Astaroth was waiting on word from Orimitsu about his spies, the naga decided that the time for talking had long since passed. As much as he would rather be in his secluded hideaway meditating, he knew that they had to prepare for war. Not stand around speaking platitudes as they waited their fate.
Raising up, with his massive coils now moving to gain him extra height, the Naga could not hold back any longer.
“We could sstay here all day and sspeak of possible threats and impending invassions, and that to me is like sitting on one’s handss. I say that we become pro active. If this really is an island fortress, we put her to the test. Get her ready.”
It was like the Naga was tired of the social niceties, and wanted the Prince to man up. To stop lounging on that all too comfortable throne and be entertained by his servants as though he was a boy at the circus. The Naga would be the first to make his move.
“I shall start by going to the blacksmiths and seeing that our armies will be well equipped, and what is needed. It would be better for me to do my job and ensure that the army is ready for any sort of attack.”
At this, the Naga bowed, and excused himself.
“M’lord….Salem…Orimitsu.” He acknowledged each in turn, before slithering out of the room – his long tail taking a while to actually leave the throne room completely. This would leave the three remaining to talk about battle strategies, and what news….if any from the dragon’s spy network.
Darkness to his words – The Sloth Kingdom : PD
The time piece was causing all sorts of dramas, in all the Kingdoms – including Sloth.  Here we introduce the Prince of Sloth himself, who has some unannounced visitors.
Co-written with Matt, Sieg and Kiri.
Matt:
Kingdom of Hell- Sloth
https://i0.wp.com/oi58.tinypic.com/2ex4pxh.jpg
This is the Kingdom of Sloth. It is not the grandest of the domains within hell, but it still exudes a certain allure to the city as most of the Princes’ kingdoms did. The Kingdom of Sloth has been closed off for years, none are sure why, but now its gates have opened once more. What shall escape from them? Guess you’ll have to come and see.
https://i0.wp.com/oi59.tinypic.com/9qldap.jpg
A grand barren wasteland dominated the area. There was no sign of life, and nothing moved. It was as if everything in the area slept, which was not far from the truth. The area was under the influence of a heavy aura that seemed to spread through the ground, causing everything to become slow, lethargic, and lazy….. That was until the ground began to quake, and break open.
A massive gorge opened up in the ground, the rocks of the land falling into the endless pit of darkness. It was unsure what was happening, but it soon became clear as a massive kingdom erupted from the ground as though it were propelled by a rocket the size of the moon. The walls were ancient, the lights dim, and it seemed as though it had not seen the light of day in many centuries. It was somewhat of a sad looking kingdom. However there was a certain power to it as well. Many would wonder how to get to the kingdom as the gorge still had a presence. It stood between the rest of the world, and the kingdom’s massive walls. From the edge of the kingdom poured huge amounts of water, like a bowl draining its contents.
Then it was heard. A massive burst of sound that many would mistake as a roar. It blasted all around the kingdom, waking the creatures that thrived within. They began to pour from the homes, and buildings, filling the streets with their mass. Each of them carrying a different appearance, though there did seem to be certain groupings of them. The most common form was a slug-like being that was covered in a dark hood, with no mouth. Their bodies seemed to be made of magma, and they moved slowly through the streets.
Other variations did exist, and made themselves known, but we shall leave them for a later date.
All those connected to this kingdom would feel a deep shudder in their bones as the power of Sloth returned to the plains of hell. Even the other princes would be able to feel the return of their long dormant sibling. If Sloth was awakening then there had to be a cause, something that interested him enough that he wished to be among the world once more.
From deep withing the kingdom, at the highest point of the castle was the bedroom of the Arch-demon Sloth, but he preferred to go by Tazuya. He slowly was waking from his sleep, his medium length black hair sticking up everywhere from his rest. He was know to gain a bad case of bed-head after one of his infamous “naps”. The roar that had been heard from the kingdom had in fact just been one of the prince’s yawns.
He slowly turned his body, and allowed his feet to move towards the ground, but as soon as his skin came in contact with the cold tile of the floor, a chill ran up his entire body, and he snatched his feet back onto the bed. He quickly crossed his legs, and began rubbing his feet.
“Ah! Too cold, too cold, too cold!”
He continued to repeat this to himself until his bare feet were sufficiently warm once more. From where he sat his amethyst eyes caught sight of a pair of thick black socks on a table that was only feet away from his perch, but between him and the warmth of the socks were three steps of ice-cold tile. Without a word though he sighed, and at the sound a female demon pushed into the room. She had short purple hair, and horns. She was wearing a set of casual clothes that let a pair of large purple wings expose themselves to the world. Though it was odd because she wore an eye-patch over one of her eyes.
https://i1.wp.com/fc04.deviantart.net/fs27/f/2008/159/4/9/Demoness_by_kamifish.jpg
Tazuya thought that he recognized the girl, but he was more focused on getting the socks from the table.
“You called lord?”
The girl had asked a simple question. Her voice was small, young, and seemingly innocent. How was it she had come here? The lord of Sloth could hardly be bothered to retrieve the memory though.
“I need those socks.”
It was a simple request to the girl. One easily accomplished, but then why was the girl hesitating as she was. Tazuya could not think of a reason…. That was until another demon appeared in his room. He was simple as well. He had a pair of fox ears upon the top of his head, and a silver tail swishing out behind him. Tazuya knew this male as well, but still could not work up the enthusiasm to remember a name, or how he even came to be within his kingdom.
https://i1.wp.com/dreamworlds.ru/uploads/posts/2008-08/1218628235_normal_sexy_neko_guy.jpg
As soon as the male had entered the room he had covered his nose, and made a sound of absolute disgust. It seemed as though he had an advanced sense of smell.
“GAH!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT RETCHED SMELL?!”
He shouted this though his hands that now covered his mouth, and nose. His eyes were watering, and the hair on his head and tail was standing on edge. Tazuya sniffed the air, and shrugged.
“I don’t smell anything.”
He was a simple man, and did not say more than was really needed very often. It was his voice that gave weight to his words. It was calm, yes, but there was also something behind his words that gave a powerful darkness to his words, making those below him quiver in fear. Though it was rare that Tazuya would ever raise a hand to anyone. Mostly due to the effort it required to do so.
“Damn it! Are you really THAT lazy, that you cant even clean this damn room?!”
The male yelled again, and only moments after he had spoke a dark realization fell over his face as he reviewed what he had just said. The entire room was quiet, it seemed as though the entire KINGDOM had fallen silent at the words of the man. It was as though everyone was having a moment of silence for a fallen companion.
“Wh- What was that you just said?”
Tazuya’s eyes had become covered in shadows that came from his hair, and a demonic energy had begun to rise from around his body. There were very few things that could make the Prince of Sloth lose his temper, but calling him lazy was a fatal mistake that a person was only prone to make once in their life-time. Their last mistake.
“My lord forgi-”
The male was cut off as Tazuya’s feet tapped onto the cold tile of his room. This couldn’t be good. Only moments before he wouldn’t even touch the floor to grab a pair of socks. before the male knew what had happened, he felt the heavy fist of Tazuya slam into the roof of his head. It was a small burst, but Sloth had put every ounce of his strength into this single strike. It was faster than a blink, and louder than a gunshot. The male’s head exploded like a watermelon, and his body crashed through the floor. It continued to break through the floors below until it hit the solid ground of the infrastructure at the base of the castle. Even then there was a massive crater where his body had hit. The bones of the male had turned to dust, and his limbs were strewn in all different, and odd directions as though they had been forced a way they were not supposed to go. Other than that though the body itself was intact. Bleeding, and destroyed forever….. But intact.
Tazuya then returned his attention to the female. His purple eyes seemed as they did before now, and he was slouched forward, his natural bad posture. Even still though he towered over the girl.
“My socks please.”
He said to her, his voice now radiating the darkness that normally hid behind his tone. For a moment the girl was stuck in the same spot, frozen by the fear that she might be next to be crushed into oblivion, but this same fear helped kick start her. She quickly rushed over, grabbed his socks, and handed them to him. In the next instant he jumped back on the bed, eliciting a groan from the structure. Though it was the castle that groaned, and not just the bed. He seemed to weigh much more than it seemed. He quickly pulled his socks on, and then pulled his black boots on over them.
“Thank you.”
He was polite if nothing else, but the girl still feared for her life. Once she was sure she was out of harms way she fled the room, the fear still ravaging her mind as she ran. Meanwhile, Tazuya was pulling his black hoodie on over his head, allowing the hood to remain rested upon his head.
“Guess its time we open the gates.”
He sighed again after speaking, and before he knew it the gates at the front of the kingdom swung open. The gates were massive, heavy, and were built to allow Tazuya’s true form to be able to pass through it. So it took half the city to pull them inward, allowing the light of a new day to enter the gates. Any who wished it could enter now. There were no guards at the gates to stop them, and the demons of the city would not interfere. For they shared their Lord’s enthusiasm. That is to say they couldn’t be bothered with the job, and Sloth was not inclined to put forth the effort to make them. So the question lingered in Tazuya’s mind: Who was to visit his reopened home first.
In the moments between Tazuya touching the ground till he attempted to punch the male, there was a sudden high pitched giggle and in the next moment a blur as the male was snatched to one side away from the punch, still causing the floor to be completely obliterated from the mere force of his strength itself; however, the male was left unharmed, shaky and pale, but unharmed indeed with the collar of his shirt in the hand of a very short, delicate looking girl. She’d been watching closely, extremely closely with an intensity she rarely showed for anyone else, so it was obvious who she was in all honesty as she made each little motion seem perky, bubbly and overly annoying to an extreme level just so show off the fact she was so hyper; yet even as she spoke there was something about her tone that showed she wasn’t playing around today.
Hikari: “Now now Tazuya, you shouldn’t go killing everyone… It’s not nice~”
Male: “Th-thank you…”
Hikari giggled once more before finally actually looking at the male with a gaze that seemed kind, and inspired hope in him… for a moment, then came the fact that without warning he started feeling his soul being absorbed into her without warning; his true form as a Kitsune was being revealed as she did, but this didn’t change the fact that he was losing his soul and his body was left a lifeless puppet that blinked with dull, flat eyes.
Hikari: “A good body is a good body after all…”
And there it was… seems like Hikari somehow had that effect of being a slight sadist, but in reality she tried to keep a store of bodies, never know when you might need a shell to place a soul in after all; Hikari never knew when it might come in handy and therefore was always trying to stay prepared… would this come to merit soon?
Matt:Tazuya had already become calm by the time that he realized that the male had not, in fact, been under his harsh blow. His demonic presence was also returning to the normal level that it tended to maintain. Without even hearing or seeing what had happened, Tazuya already knew who had just arrived.
“Hikari. You know it is rude to interrupt people larger than you.”
It was a simple tease at the girl about her height, or lack of. This was how they tended to interact with one another, but there was no harshness in his words. Then his eyes fell upon the male at her side. The prince did not fully know about her store of bodies, but he always had an idea of what happened to those that she drained of their souls. He just never put forth the effort to figure it all out. Then it struck him. He quickly turned, and looked down into the massive hole that he had created in the ground.
“If he is there….”
As he peered into the hole he saw the crushed remains of the body in the hole.
“Then who is that?”
He asked more to himself, but it quickly left his mind as he returned to look at his small friend. It had been ages since he had seen her. Sleeping for as long as he did had negative effects as well. Luckily though she did not look any older than before, and was still just as short. As if to emphasize this to himself he placed his large open palm against the top of her head with a grin on his face.
“Ah. Everything is as it should be.”
He mused to himself with a large chuckle.
We all know now that everything was topsy turvy and simply crazy. The turning of the time piece had thrown everything out of whack and one of the things affected by this was just where would Katrina and Grey end up after she hastily teleported the pair away from the Witches circle. As much as she loved her dear Lavinia, being thrown out of the circle in a fit of rage by the Elder and hearing the whispers of her Mistress had meant that the cat simply couldn’t stay there. Directed by the voice to take the strange man with her, she had clasped his hand and allowed her power to channel her to a place whereby they might find a necromancer to undo what had been done. That was the plan….but not all plans go so smoothly.
Out of thin air, the pair landed, with Katrina crashing to the ground first with a god awful thump. Re entry was not exactly her strong suit. Not to mention she looked like Hell. Her hair was everywhere, and she was still smoldering a little from Lavinia’s attack. Dazed and with a really sore bottom, she tried to get up to stand but found for some reason that the environment was making her sleepy. Was this a magical thing, or….was she simply out of power in this strange place. Katrina didn’t recognize any of it. She blinked repeatedly, then rubbed her eyes with her little fists. From the fry pan and into the fire. Could this place be worse than where they had come from? It was starting to appear that way.
https://i0.wp.com/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h377/mattyhoward/batmanreturns_goodgirls.gif
Seeing the form of the man she had brought with her, she started to crawl over on the ground and tapped his back a couple of times, but each time she was getting slower…and slower. Her head was bobbing as though she was nodding off.
“We’re…..here….I…just…zzzzzzz…Eep!…I don’t…zzzzzz….know where….zzzzzzZZZZZ….EEP! Wake up..wake up Kat!” Kat tried to smack her own face to stop the feeling of sleepiness, till she stopped mid slap and collapsed on top of Grey.
This situation couldn’t have been worst, not only he most likely would be unable to visit a single bar at the kingdom of gluttony but also now he would need to avoid the witches circle for a long while, something that did not made him happy because the fact that the place was the witches territory made it a perfect neutral ground for meeting of all kinds, but no…he had to blow it just because that Prince couldn’t just go eat a big breasted maid or something…no…he had to follow that girl, the very same who pretty much entered his body and pretty much violated any sort of physical, metal or spiritual privacy he had…well…he did not had physical privacy and he did not really had a soul but still! It was rape in some twisted way, but at least he still had the control…at least things couldn’t get worst right?
Son of a moog-!!
He yelled out a half finished insult, one that ended as soon as his face met the cold ground and leave the mark of his face on it. It hurt him, made him recall the first time somebody forced his face on the ground and sadly that might have opened the gates for certain memories that he preferred to keep hidden from the invader inside his body…in the end him basically wearing a preacher’s clothes, holding a book considered holy and going around doing good, not to mention things like celibacy, were things that he did not wanted her to know…in the end if anybody found out he technically was a priest he would become the laughing stock at bars. The idea would have made him blow off, but strangely enough the air itself here felt heavy just as his bones…and it seemed like he wasn’t the only one
Yeah I know we are- wait…what’s with you?
The aura around this place was having a harder time to affect the undead, something he needed to thank his chaos for but that did not meant it had no effect. His body felt like it weighted a ton, but he still had enough reflexes and brain power to put together that something was up with this place…suspicion confirmed as soon as the other female there on top of him. Out of mere reflex Grey caught her, shaking her a bit as he frowned and sighed out. Yeah…his day was getting greater and greater…
Go get the girl they said…it will be fun they said…you will pay your debts they said…and now I’m with shit all the way to my neck
Jobs never came as expected, but one thing was something going off during a job and be forced into an unexpected fight or to retreat and another was to end up a witch asleep on top of him, an spirit pretty much inside of him, and being stuck in a land that seemed to be draining him off by the minute. The worst part of this? He could lay a finger on the witch no matter her looks that he actually did not found so bad…nope…she saved him, the spirit was there to witness everything, he couldn’t blame any actions in him being drunk, and worst of all…she was a witch, he refused to lay a finger upon one in an indecent way again, at least not after what he saw
Why can’t I get stuck in a closet with a succubus again?…is it so much to ask?…
He sighed deeply, his eyebrows furrowing as he started to feel how his limbs felt like they began to weight more than usual. They had to get a move on, where? who knew…but they had to. So Grey basically cursing all along the way somehow forced himself to his feet, feeling as if they were made of concrete as he raised the female, Kat, in his arms, panting sightly in the process. By now he blessed his resistance to this type of things, or else he would have ended up literally sleeping cuddled to the witch for who knows how long. But if he did not wanted to fall asleep he needed something, conversation…anything…
I guess you don’t know where your friend brought us…do you ghost rapist?…
At the genie’s voice, Astaroth let out a sound that closely resembled a cow’s moo, or a whale’s, as he slid out of his seat as if his body were liquid.
“I am…” he paused and reached behind his back to rub at the newly appeared scratches. He’d forgotten than sliding down objects when you weren’t wearing clothes between tended to cause some form of skin ailment. Upon closer inspection it had also crumpled the chiffon fabric in his cape.
Before finishing his sentence, as he had been talking absent mindedly and even completely forgetting that he was about to say anything, he stood up and twisted his torso around to rid himself of the stiffness sitting diagonally in his chair had brought him. At each movement the bells at the bottom of each peacock feather-like end of his cape clung so that it echoed in a beautiful way, to him at least.
“Awh,” he began with a smile and extended his arms to indicate to both his friends that he’d accept them in a hug if they wished, “at one word from me you’re here to entertain me.” he smiled. “I could not have better friends even amongst angels.”
“How are you two feeling this magnificent, albeit, boring morning? Any stomach cramps? Chest pains? I’m hoping it’s food poisoning that’s settling in slower in you two than me.” he’d told both of them of the reason why he had his legions prepare for a battle and the reason he was absolutely sure was his vision coming true was because of the stomach pains. He just wanted to cling to the hope that it might be something else because he honestly had no interest in fighting with his so-called brothers and followers of Lucifer. Astaroth didn’t consider them brothers or even friends. All they were were princes in faraway kingdoms he’d never personally reach. Not that he wanted to visit demons that could possibly kill him anyway. There just wasn’t anything that attracted Astaroth to that idea.
Sieg:
Salem nodded at the Alaric as soon as he arrived, noticing too well the look he gave him and just not reacting at it as his eyes shifted towards Astaroth. Truth to be told he pretty much did not blamed him for the distrust towards his person, if anything it was justified, for the Genies were well known for basicly being cunning and enjoying making their masters suffer due to their wishes in one way or the other. It was the funny part of their job, so to say, to be able unlike many slaves to basicly torture their masters a little bit. You wished for a hot breakfast? Well, maybe you should have wished the plate…you wish to have money? Maybe you should have wished you had earned it, you wished for a beautiful lady to sleep with you? Maybe you should have wished that it wasn’t your sister…small loopholes many genies loved to exploit
I…would prefer to refrain from the hug Master…
Salem did not wanted to be mean but he honestly did not enjoyed physical contact that much as Astaroth did, it was not really because of anything or so he said but the last time he accepted physical contact he ended up getting chained to a bed for nearly three days, weird owner with weird fetishes, and while he was sure Astaroth wouldn’t do nothing near that, he still preferred that people did not really touched him. Instead he did the best he could and just…patted his shoulder, yeah, that was as much physical contact anyone was going to get out of him today, or so he hoped
And I’m afraid not Master…but perhaps it’s going to come sooner or later…
He tried to sound reassuring but the more time that passed the more he understood that perhaps Astaroth vision was going to become reality. The signs were there, to the point that even the very wind seemed to be changing, to the point that things seemed all to calm. It made Salem worried, because as much as he knew they had power, he also understood that they were grounded in this location and if the enemy was too large, they could very well turn the tides on their favour. So yeah…Salem was worried, but did his best to avoid showing so
With all the wealth and power that was held by the Prince of Pride, it seemed that he lacked the knowledge on how to keep himself entertained. There were many hobbies, or sports he could engage in, but it turns out that the Prince hated being alone. So, when his servants arrived at the sound of his call, he was duly pleased, and even went as far to offer the pair a hug. Salem of course was one to reject physical contact, which was hardly surprising. Alaric would never hug the genie even if offered a king’s ransom. Alaric on the other hand, enjoyed wrapping his coils around an unsuspecting or stupid target. Slithering right up to the Prince, he moved his arms around to accept the friendly greeting, while his coils started to wind around the Prince from the legs up. Alaric’s hands patted the Prince’s back as you could hear the strange sound of the snake’s body moving with a hush along the stone floor. If he had really wanted to trap the Prince in this death hug, he could – but he knew his place and liked the food. The naga started to release the Prince and offered a smile, that was disarming at best.
“This morning had been relatively peaceful. Well, until now.” The nagas was careful to say.
“You feel…crumpled, Sssire.” Alaric hissed, as he went to move away from the Prince and give him breathing room. The prince had a few questions that needed answering. Wanting to know if the pair had felt any unpleasant sensations in their stomachs? It was an odd thing to ask, and Alaric shot a glance at the Genie. He said he hadn’t sensed or felt anything, and the Naga assumed he meant he was in good health as well.
“My last meal went down in one go and I felt no sssuch ssstomach ailments, Sssire.”
Was it possible that the Prince was feeling stress from the risk that one of the fellow kingdoms may chose time soon to mount a campaign against him? The possibility was always there. The Nagas stroked his chin as he mused over the possibility that the Prince was getting insight into the plots of others beyond his lands and waters.
“Have any spiess over in the realmss?” It was a sensible question. Problem was, with the current standing of the kingdom and its blocking of movement, it would be hard to get intel in and out. ~RB~Kiri:
Typically Orimitsu would have been in the throne room asleep, however today was nice and warm and he was taking the moment to let the sun heat up his scales pleasantly to the point that he was drowsy enough to the point that he slept for several hours and wasn’t planning to wake up any time soon. Things had been too tense around here of late, and honestly Orimitsu was currently worried about relaxing and staying in such a good mood that he didn’t turn Pride himself into a meal if he rubbed the Dragon the wrong way. Which, don’t get this dragon wrong, he was definitely willing to do it if he had the chance.
After those several hours had passed, Orimitsu gave a wide yawn which let out a burst of hot air, his maw stretching out wide and tall; one could have compared Orimitsu to the size of a large commercial air liner, basically saying he was huge. Large for even a Dragon, Orimitsu was proud of his Primordial Physiology that made him far stronger than any other normal dragon who had no such abilities. Orimitsu let out a puff of flames and air from his nostrils before shifting quickly into him an form, moving straight for the Throne room; his form shimmering as he used his Flash Step to move so fast that it looked as though he was teleporting from one place to the next; it was a strange thing for a dragon but he knew how to get around certain limitations. Such as the speed issue. However, before he did get there, he stopped by the form of a man leaning against a pillar and whispered softly in his ear. The man soon disappeared after, but what was his purpose?
“As a matter of fact, I just sent a man out to gather some information.. we should here back soon considering his……. expertise.”
Orimitsu, unlike the Prince or his other companions, wasn’t nearly as laid back in situations like this, despite the fact that he wished to relax and be as such; he knew how to use his resources and power in such a way that it made him a deadly opponent. His first words were in response to the Naga whom had also worked alongside pride for as long as Orimitsu personally could remember; someone he respected for being able to get a job done when it was needed. He had a dangerously sly grin on his face, which showed he had something up his sleeve, but at the moment it wasn’t entirely obvious as to what it was exactly at the very moment.
Astaroth closed his arms around the serpentine as soon as he was there to accept the hug. He always enjoyed Alaric’s hugs. They were much more hug like than everyone else’s. But somehow, Astaroth couldn’t quite enjoy it as much as he did normally. There was just something about the now that had him in deep thought at the same time he was trying to forget what he knew. An event of this size, or well, much greater size. It was only that it both had as big a meaning for Astaroth, if not more this time. He felt distress that his vision, that particular horrible vision, was coming true. He felt even worse because he didn’t know who was coming and somehow hadn’t seen what for. Although he had his sneaking suspicions. Chest pains usually had something to do with death. He’d felt the pain before on several occasions when people around him or important people were about to die, and the pain always dissipated as they died. The pain was worse the closer the people were to him and since he’d never felt it this bad, he suspected it was about him and his death. Which was the one thing he’d left out of his explanation to the three. Only telling them that they might be attacked for their land.
“Yes, I do feel crumpled.” he said as soon as Alaric had let him go. To emphasis, he bent down to make his stomach crumple and appear as if he were a little fatter than he was.
When both had rebounded Astaroth’s hopes, again, his expression turned foul. His hair began to elevate and float in the air. His form flickered. It was common for him when he felt as distressed as he felt now. Someone was coming for his life, most likely. Astaroth didn’t mess with other kingdoms simply because he wasn’t interested. Doing so would also be dangerous for him and every single person that allowed him to call himself their King.
It was in situations like these that Astaroth often resembled a ghost. Humans often mistook him for one and were surprised to see a ghost as clearly as they saw him.
At the sound of Orimitsu’s voice, Astaroth’s flickering stopped and he smoothed down his hair before he flashed his dragon his warmest smile.
“Where would I be without you?” he asked and returned to his seat. This time he sat down properly, like he did whenever his castle was open for visitors. Head resting on a clenched fist with his elbow propped on the throne’s arm, his legs parted to use the chair’s width. The only difference now was that he was thinking. It would look as if he had dismissed the three, but experience would tell them to stay as Astaroth’s thinking sessions usually required the attention of others to answer questions he might or might not bring up. A bothersome prince to serve, he was.
Astaroth was bored. In fact, he was extremely bored. But despite that, he was anxious as well. The pain in his stomach still hadn’t left and was slowly spreading up to his chest. He didn’t consider it a good sign. Chest pains were usually never good.
But the boredom, there was nothing to do. He’d already ordered his legions to prepare and informed the serpents in his waters about the possible invasion that might be coming sometime soon or later or whenever. All he could do was let them know that they should expect it. He could give little else. He’d already made sure that his subjects wouldn’t visit with their small scale problems of land or fish or marriage or cheating. He was regretting that decision. He definitely wouldn’t be this bored if he hadn’t. He might’ve even had fun and forgot the pain in his stomach a little.
The pain. It had started a few days ago and Astaroth had no idea why. All he knew he was hit in the head with the memory of that one rather annoying and painful vision at the same time it started. He suspected it was more than a happy coincidence.
At the moment, he was sitting in his throne. A lavish chair on a small pedestal framed with curtains that Astaroth could fell every time he closed his castle for commoners. He was a nice prince, so he didn’t do it very often. He knew he needed to socialise with his people to have them like him to follow him.
The throne room itself wasn’t all that big. It was really just a small part of the castle. Astaroth liked sitting in his throne simply because of the chair’s comfortableness, so he’d made sure the throne room wouldn’t be too large so that sitting alone in there wouldn’t be weird. The size of the room also kept the echoes to a minimum. There was nothing more awkward than the clanking of shoe or boot soles against the tiled floor while a person walked a long way in silence towards a seat with everyone else’s eyes on them. Astaroth had had a bigger throne room before. It was a big mistake. He’d changed rooms pretty quickly. Now the old throne room was a ball room and he had a new, much more comfortable, one.
He was lying in his throne. Sort of. His cape and his stomach were crinkled and Astaroth was making funny faces to pass the time. Funny faces could only keep him occupied for so long though and soon he was covering his face with his hands and complaining loudly.
“There’s nothing to do~!” usually there weren’t echoes, but Astaroth had moved the curtains so that they didn’t prevent the echo like they normally did when they were down around the sides. He’d done that for the complaining. Since he was alone in the room, he could laugh about the echoes as a child would. Boredom brought his humour down a few levels.
He giggled like a school girl when the sounds bounced of the walls and back to him. One might think he was far beyond normal drunkenness by now. But he had had nothing to drink.
Kingdom – Pride Castle
It was a good day for Salem, in fact it was a great day for the genie as he was inside his little pocket dimension, a little world within this one. He basicly finished his duties for the day last night, setting his a few defenses, changing a few things from the castle, a few from the island, so right now he was in his little island. Call him weird for basicly turning his own pocket dimension into an small tropical island in the middle of the sea with a house right in the middle, but honestly, why would he care? He was a genie, this was his world, and if you said something bad he could turn you into a toilet and leave you in the beach until you left…in fact he did it to someone once…
Hmph…there is nothing interesting today…
He basicly sat on a chair in his own private beach, enjoying how the sun didn’t burned his skin and just kept things at the right temperature as Salem was reading a newspaper written in some weird and strange lenguage. Quite honestly if he actually resorted to reading a newspaper from his own realm to relax, one could tell how restless he felt. He needed to kill time, but quite honestly doing it alone proved to be boring…and trust me…he tried everything by this point, a few things that made him want to bury his head in the sand by remembering them. Funny enough his salvation came in the shape of a mirror that floated next to him, showing him the events at the castle
…if he having some sort of seizure?…
It’s all he could say as he stared a what Pride was doing as he groaned and shook his head, quite honestly, from all the masters he had this one was a rival for the title of most random and childish…but, he figured that this was better than him freaking out. Ever since he had that vision things got weird in the castle so…this was bound to happend. But he figured the little girl giggling would happend after he won the battle…but, at least he wasn’t mad or yelling around, that was good. Still, he figured he might want to drop by and stop him before somebody sees what he is doing
Might aswell embarrass him a little…heh…
Salem stood up from his chair, stretching a bit as he snapped his fingers and some strings of magic sand going across his body later he went from just sitting there on his boxers to be wearing his usual attire. The next thing to do was clean up, again he was a genie and in his own world he was king so…an snap of his fingers fixed this. With that done he stretched again, placing his usual poker face as he just vanished from here. As for where he would appeard, he decided to do it next to Astaroth throne, basicly his form appearing from air as a few grains of golden sand floated around him only to vanish later. And as it was usual for him he kept an straight face accompanied with a polite tone…holding himself back from laughing at this little display
Master…what might you be doing if you don’t mind me asking?
Aside from laughing like an overexcited school girl that is…heh…
The last part, a through that he forced to the back of his head only to don’t laugh, as he watched Astaroth, hoping the prince wouldn’t do anything even weirder that would cause the genie to break the mask and just laugh. He had a bet with another servant that he could spend at least the next hundred years without a single solitary giggle coming out from him and he damn well expected to win it!
Another part of the castle that was shielded by giant trees, was a sacred place where Alaric came to meditate and reflect. It also gave him the solitude he needed to think. Deep beneath the forest green foliage there was various statues, that were in a circular formation, the center of which had a large symbol that was made out of stone, but the spaces between were covered in a fine moss. In the midst of this setting, Alaric was seated. However only part of him was in a human form, the rest was that of a large coiled snake. The size of the coils was colossal, and so richly coloured he was truly a magnificent sight. He wore on his torso nothing but a silken vest that was adorned with metallic designs that ran along the edges. Most notable was the large jewel centerpiece that was embedded in his forehead.
With his elbows pointed outwards, his palms touching together – fingertips in perfect alignment, he was the embodiment of spiritual energy and reflection. Alaric chanted in a whispered hush with his eyelids closed. The edges of his eyelids eyes were painted with a black dye, that set off his dark skin. It was more than just sun kissed. Alaric enjoyed receiving the filtered rays of light that came down through the gaps in the trees and illuminated his entire being.
There was nothing Alaric liked more than this moments of seclusion, where nothing or no one could disturb his peaceful state of mind. Nagas were usually solitary creatures, so it was unusual for him to serve a Master. But then again, there was no other Prince of Hell quite like Astaroth. Alaric had been in the Princes service for as long as he could remember. His right hand man, one could say as the Prince of Pride had a soft spot for serpents and creatures of his nature.
A day like any other. That is how it started and the religious practice of meditation was going as per normal. That was until the sounds filtered through from the palace that someone was up.
“There’s nothing to do~!”
Slowly, one eyelid opened and the eye darted to the direction to which the sound came from. Alaric stopped his chant and lowered his hands to his sides, while he turned his torso towards the palace proper. The owner of that voice was well known to the nagas, and he knew now that his morning ritual was over. Only a fool would keep the Prince waiting, when he had obviously opened his curtains in the main throne room to alert all of his boredom.
“No ressst for the wicked.” Alaric thought as he raised up like a king cobra and then began to slither from his sacred site to make his way towards the palace as quickly as he could.
On arrival, it seemed someone else had beaten the nagas to the punch. he could hear his questioning tone as he slid in through the doors. Oh….it was the Genie. Trust him to be at the Prince’s side so soon.
Master…what might you be doing if you don’t mind me asking?
“I was about to asssk the sssame thing, Sssalem.” Alaric’s tongue slithered out each time he said ‘s’, his eyes narrowing to slits as he stared at the all too stony faced Genie. He often thought there was a lot more to that creature and would be wise not to take him at face value. Truth was, the nagas didn’t trust him one bit. Then again, he didn’t trust many at all. Trust, like respect had to be earnt.
The Nagas bowed ever so politely, as its long tail took its good time in entering the room completely.
“Your Highnesssss.” Alaric was always one for being direct. “Found a sssmall lump in the cussshion of your comfy throne?’ ~RB~
~Watch me come undone~
Asmo’s Bedroom
Snoring. Soft snoring. Not just one person….but a few. It was sometime in the morning, but Asmodeus couldn’t tell – save for the light that was pouring in through the large gable windows. Groaning, the demon felt about and happened to touch someone’s boob. ~Grunt…muttering…then a snore~ Asmodeus patted the boob and then brought his hand to his face, dragging it down as he smacked his lips whilst blinking. His mouth was dry and he felt like crud. A dull throbbing in his head and he tried to focus on the mirrored ceiling. Oh…..God. There must have been ten bodies in his bed. ~Could of thought I brought back one.~ He thought to himself. He was still pretty groggy, and went to prop himself up. There was a sea of naked bodies, all tangled together somehow. The air smelt of booze, sex….and was that pizza? Asmodeus rubbed his finger under his nose and then tried to roll the odd person out of the way as he crawled across the bed to get out on the other side. A few protested in their slumber, but he made it to the other side and went to stand. Glancing down at himself, he noticed that the only thing he was wearing was a tie. Usually that is the first thing he takes off. Wait…was it even his?
Going to take a step he nearly tripped on a stiletto shoe that had been discarded. The floor was like a bloody mine field of discarded clothes, bottles, syringes, party favorites….it was then he remembered. He’d had a party. Well fuck. A few stayed over. Had he been of right mind, he would be bellowing for them all to leave, but his head was throbbing and yelling just seemed like the last thing he wanted to do. He waved his hand dismissively at the people strewn on his bed and then staggered…carefully through the party trash and made it to the large double doors. Took him two goes to grab the handle and he swung it open, only to see his man servant standing there – dressed impeccably in his suit and ready with a tray that had a tall glass of water and some pills.
“Good morning, my Lord Asmodeus.”
“Meh…what’s so fucking good about it?”
“Lydia is dead, my Lord. It made the papers.”
Asmodeus just stood there, dumbfounded by the news. “Ah…shit. Didn’t she have some…ball or something?’ It was clear that Asmodeus had missed the worst ball in history. He picked up the pills and popped them in his mouth, before taking up the glass of water and sculling it back.
“Yes, my Lord. You declined that invitation.” Simon kept his face emotionless as he tried to focus on the Prince’s face, and not down at his rather large limp dick that kept smacking his naked thigh.
“Lydia’s a pain in the ass. Glad she’s dead. Hope she choked on some fag’s cock.”
You could tell that Asmodeus was not a morning person…demon. His man servant then set down the tray and offered the Prince a robe. He jiggled it with two fingers, hoping the Demon would put it on. Asmodeus shrugged and started to put it on, as he was going to head down to the main chambers of his castle. Simon bowed as the Prince passed him.
“Very good, my Lord. Shall I have your room cleaned?”
“Nah…I’ll come up and fuck em all again later.” He said casually, strolling off down the hall. “I feel like having a smoke.”
It had been a silent morning, nothing was going on. No birds, no chirping just pure silence, the wind blowing lightly. You could say it was peaceful but, it wouldn’t be for long. A singing sound came from outside, it entering the palace and echoing softly. ” What do you do when death comes knocking on your door. ~ Oh here she comes, the death of em’ all. “ small humming of random sounds like music following. You could tell it was a females voice, not an old one but, a still young one who had been strolling down he side walk. Some of the shrubs an plants had withered as she walked by, making sure they did. It wasn’t something she did intentionally but, it happened at times. You could say one was brave for waltzing right up into the palace that belonged to the Prince of Lust. She had made her way in, the guards weren’t a problem for her at all. Her eyes scanned the place around, it was pretty good.
” Such sorrow and sadness fills this place, death may be able to do you a favor. ~” Came the singing voice once again, the sound flowing down the halls so the Prince would of heard it all.
Walking slowly she walked the halls and found a large door, pushing it open she’d walk in. Where was she exactly? By the looks of it probably the throne room or some lounge area. Walking in farther a soft smile came to her lips.
” Such a lovely place for the prince.. you sure have done yourself well.” Mi had said and took her place in the middle of the room facing the door.
Mi stood roughly 5’5″ with long black hair that hung down to her hips. Pale light skin, horns sticking from her forehead. Obviously you could tell she was a Demon, a high one at that. The aura of death and demon flowed off her like perfume. She wore a simple black dress with straps, it reached down past the beginning of her hips. One would say it was to short for a lady but, it didn’t bother her. Two bands were around her thighs and tights extending down from them, black bally shoes finishing. You could tell she was a female, her breast, curves and body gave it away, along with the tight dress, the bottom flowing loosely.
” Aw shucks, It seems a party was here. I must of missed it, such a shame.” Mi said with a small smirk, the air did smell of many things.
A soft purring could be heard, where it came from was unknown. A moment later a pure black cat appeared at her feet. It was rubbing against her legs, purring away in comfort. This was a rather bold and daring move but, she had nothing to fear of right now.
“There is going to be an encore performance upstairs as soon as I’ve had this cig, babe.”
It was the Demon of Lust. He had caught the last part of the intruder speaking as he entered from a side corridor into the main throne room. Ah shit. The party went beyond his bedroom, with more trash and littered bodies all over the place. It was like the nightmare after the orgy from Hell. Lust put on the best parties it seemed, when he was in the doldrums. Patting down his robe, he was looking for his cigarette packet, when Simon came to his side and coughed, offering him a fresh packet. Asmodeus smirked and gave a half hearted wink as he took out a cigarette and placed it on the tip of his bottom lip.
“Light…” His thumb lit up with a small flame, which he used to put to the end of the cigarette, drawing back the air so as to light it properly. The red glow on the tip of the cigarette showed he was successful, and he shook his thumb to switch off the flame.
“Mmmmm…better.” It was clear, that Asmodeus enjoyed a morning cigarette. Simon, his faithful servant then handed the demon the paper, which he folded in half and looked set to head off to the nearest bathroom. Course, the woman was still standing there, with a black cat at her feet. The Demon of Lust shot both her and the cat a glance.
“You might want to get the air freshener ready, Simon. Going to be in the lavvy a while.” He hinted, as Simon tried so hard not to roll his eyes. The Demon of Lust took another puff of his ciggy, and then pointed at the girl.
“You look familiar. We shagged before, yeah?” He usually didn’t forget a face, even though he had had more lovers than Gene Simmons. Little did he realize that she was from the Kingdom of Envy. Had he known that, he might have been a little less…casual.
With his cigarette held between his fingers, he pointed at the cat.
“You guys a double act or something?”
Guess who is coming for dinner? : The Greed Kingdom – PD.
Mariela and Scar are back with a whole new adventure, as they settle back in with the young Witch now the new Princess of Greed.  But…if they thought their troubles were over….they were mistaken.  Here is part one of “Guess who is coming for dinner?”
Dessy:   “Honestly, I think it’s helped all of us to be able to see you again.” Tessa spoke, the boys nodding in agreement. “You seem to be doing well here. And now you’re the Princess of Greed.” Sean spoke, giving his sister a smile and Mariela smiled back.”Everyone here seems to like you. Then again, you were always well liked with others. That’s what Tessa told us, anyways.” Sam said, looking to Tessa, and she nodded her head. “Scar most certainly likes you.” she said with a grin, and Mariela laughed and shook her head.
https://i1.wp.com/media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mckjadsonR1rc08qco1_500.gif
“Everyone here has liked me more than Lydia.” Mariela spoke, giving a shrug. “I’m just likable, I guess. It was the same thing whenever we were in school.” she then spoke, looking between each of them. “As for Scar, he was originally summoned to help Lydia. But he took a liking to me instead, and Lydia didn’t seem to like that very much.” she spoke again. “How did you need up being involved with Lydia in the first place?” Sam asked, and Mariela took a deep breath.That is something I’ll explain to you later. It’s a long story.”
She turned to look at Scar when he spoke, looking back at the trio. “You guys hungry?” and when the trio nodded, she gave them a smile, before looking back over at Scar. “Yes. Lunch sounds nice.” she spoke. She then linked arms with Tessa in a friend fashion, before motioning for her brothers to follow and then heading over to Scar, before following him to the dining room.
Kingdom of Greed – Castle
Scar beamed as the Princess was in a good mood, and enjoying the company of her family. It meant that he wasn’t about to go spoiling her good time by mentioning that there might be a big spider loose in the castle. Scar just kept smiling…all cheesy and it looked kinda ridiculous. If only they could see the sweat bead running down his cheek as he kept looking out of the corner of his eye for the slightest movement on the walls. He didn’t know yet if the spider was gone or hiding in the shadows. Anything was possible in this castle.
“Lunch…lunch lunch lunch. Well, this is Greed so…we do a wicked buffet.” Said with all the showmanship of a circus ring leader, and he did a fancy shoe shuffle as he gestured the group towards the expansive dining hall, but then got a wicked idea.
“You know, we do have a large clothing store room, if you wanted to change before you ate. You know, make this festive. I mean, it’s not every day that you get to have lunch with a dead sister, now is it?” That might have come out a little odd, since in their world she was dead to them, but only alive here in this existence. A butler came up alongside Scar and then whispered in his ear, causing Scar to nod and then shoo him away again.
“They are just setting the tables and the buffet table….the desert cart will be ready in just a few. Plenty of time to get dressed up.” Was this some sort of ploy, to buy Scar more time in the hunt for the spider? If it was, he was doing a damn good job of trying to keep them from looking down at the entrance to the lower dungeons, where a team of pest inspectors were taking down super sized poison backpacks….they looked like a strange group of ghost busters. Special camo suits and goggles. If Mariela and her family noticed, Scar would say.
“Cockroaches. We had a little infestation down in the bowels. They can survive anything, so I am told. That’s why I brought in the experts. So big…you could throw a saddle on them.” Again, Scar beamed and then clapped his hands.
“Chop chop…go find something to wear and I will meet you all in the dining hall. This is going to be a meal to remember, heh.”
https://i1.wp.com/38.media.tumblr.com/55a46f20417cf9cdf2e00f64743a4a88/tumblr_n74he6TSXx1rjp0lfo2_250.gif
Scar then scampered off, muttering to himself. They may well find his behavior odd, but then again…that was just Scar.
When the group had found the appropriate clothing that was more suited to a dinner party, and ventured into the grand dining hall, what would meet their eyes was the most sumptuous feast imaginable. More food than you could ever hope to eat in a life time. The smells, and the colour…it was the very best of Greed’s Chefs creations, and there was even a ice sculpture in the center of the long food buffet. It was mouth watering and eye popping. Staff lined the walls, ready to help people to their places, and everything was polished and gleaming.
Dessy:  Mariela nodded in agreement to Scar, smiling at the trio. “Scar’s right. Our buffets are always the best.” she said. The trio raised eyebrows at Scar’s fancy shoe shuffle thing, looking to Mariela. She just laughed and shrugged. “You’ll get used to it.” she said, giving a smile. Scar suggested about changing, and Mariela took this time to look down at what she was wearing – which was still covered in blood, as well as her hands. “That actually might be a good idea…” she said, turning to nod at the trio.
“Alright, that sounds like a plan.” she nodded again. But then her gaze fell over the entrance to the dungeons, seeing a bunch of pest inspectors. “What’s going on?” she asked, her gaze turning to look at Scar as she spoke.
“Cockroaches. We had a little infestation down in the bowels. They can survive anything, so I am told. That’s why I brought in the experts. So big…you could throw a saddle on them.”
This caused Mariela to purse her lips. “Hm…” she said, as if not quite believing Scar. “Well, then. Make sure it gets taken care of.” she spoke. She’d go along with it, at least for now. She watched Scar scamper off, her eyes narrowing a bit, before she turned around to face the trio. “Follow me.” she said, before turning and beginning to walk to the clothing store-room.
When they walked into the room, Mariela held her arm out and gestured. “Sam, Sean – there’s plenty of suits and tuxes to choose from.” she said. When the boys walked off, she grabbed Tessa’s arm and pulled over to a section with dresses. “As for us, there are thousands of dresses to choose from.” she said, giving a smile. “First things first: I kind of need to get washed up. So, I’ll be right back.” she said, and with that she walked off to probably take a shower or something and clean the… uh… blood off of her.
Kingdom of Greed – Castle
Scar clapped his hands to see that everything was just peachy in the dining hall. Food was all being set out, it was going to be a lunch to remember. At the same time however, he had crews searching the castle for what they believed to a big spider lurking. One they suspected had stolen Beserker. As Scar watched a chef wheel in the desert trolley, Suda came up and tapped the Alp on the back. It gave him one hell of a fright.
“GAH!” he practically jumped out of his skin, and put his hand to his heart. Scar thought it might be the evil spider demon sneaking up on him. The dwarf frowned and shook his head as though irritated. ‘It’s only me. Look, we haven’t found a damn thing. Nothing but a large web that was in the far corner of the workshop. I’m not exactly the best housekeeper down there, and I’d say that she…yes she has been down there a while.” This was food for thought. How long had it been down there? Had it been watching Beserker since the armor returned from Wrath? No one in their right mind would dare let it trick them to wearing it, especially after the fall of Mammon.
“So a spider was down there. That we know for sure. Hmm, maybe she cleared off with the armor during the ball.”This was the logical conclusion, there was enough drama and killing to hide someone trying to steal something. Suda shrugged. All he knew was that Beserker was gone.
“Are you going to tell Mariela?” That was the dwarf’s next question.
“And upset her? No no no no.” She was getting ready for lunch, and was taking a while. “I might go see how she is faring. You keep up the patrols until we have something concrete.”
Suda saluted then waddled off, as Scar took to the stairs in search of Mariela. Her brothers and friend Tessa were already getting changed, and hearing the sound of water running, Scar wandered into Mariela’s bathroom………..
“OH GOD!…I SWEAR…I DIDN’T SEE A THING!”
But did he?
Dessy:  The brothers were in a different room changing into suits, and Tessa was in another room putting on the dress of her choice. This only left Mariela in her bathroom, washing up. She couldn’t exactly go to lunch covered up in blood, now could she? That wouldn’t exactly look good on her.
She threw her hair up in a clip, stepping in the shower and closing the curtain as she stood under the water. The bathroom door was closed, and you would think that and the sound of running water would stop people from walking in… obviously not. The water turned red as the blood washed off of her, and Mariela made sure there wasn’t an ounce left. After awhile, she shut off the water, then examined her arms to make sure it was all off. At this point, she heard the door open, and she narrowed her eyes as she wondered who it was.
She reached her hand out to grab a white robe, slipping it on before stepping out and holding it closed. Once again, you’d think water running and the door being closed would be signs to stay out… apparently to Scar, that was an invitation to enter. She heard Scar’s voice, and finished tying off the robe as she turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow.
She finished tying the robe, turning around to face Scar. “There’s a thing called knocking, Scar. You should learn how to use it.” she spoke, before she ended up smiling anyway. At the current moment, she was practically glowing. Her hair was still held up with a clip, but water still stuck to her skin as she now crossed her arms. “Is there a problem?” she then asked.
Kingdom of Greed – Castle
Scar stood there, holding his hand up to cover his eyes. Unaware that Mariela had pulled on a robe before he waltzed into the steam filled bathroom. He really should have knocked first, but Scar wasn’t exactly up to speed with social graces. Once a demon, always a demon. Bringing his hand down slowly, when Mariela told him he should learn to knock, Scar appeared sheepish. Twisting his right foot, with his hands held behind his back. His cheeks went a little pink. Maybe he secretly wished he had seen something. Either way, to see her smiling again was worth the trouble he caused. As Scar stood there, he realized that this was the first chance that they had to be alone since he ran with her into the Maze. Though this was not the setting he had in mind to speak to her privately, there was a form of intimacy in a sense. Bringing his hands out from behind him, you could see Scar’s face becoming a bit more serious. She questioned if there was a problem, holding her self in a stance that was a little more formal. Scar shrugged his shoulders, trying to throw off what had been sent him scurrying about the castle like a mad man.
“Just…bugs.” he answered, a little roll of the eyes as though it was nothing important. Something else had entered his mind, and he now wanted to say what he had been thinking.
“You know….I thought I was done down there.” Speaking of the maze and being trapped – headless on the other side of the mirror. “Usually when its off with your head, it’s permanent.” The broken mirror had meant that he had no way of coming back, but thanks to the young witch – now Princess of Greed, he survived and was standing before her now. Scar was truly thankful.
“I don’t know the words to say…or how to show you how grateful I am for what you did for me.” Scar’s eyes showed that he was feeling a great deal of emotions. Emotions that he never knew he had in him. By nature, he was the demon of nightmares and in no way a romantic. Least he didn’t think so.
“I can see why your family love you so much.” Now he was staring at her, speaking the truth. He had seen how the boys were back in the hat about when she had died saving them. She was truly a beautiful soul…inside and out. The Kingdom of Greed was lucky to have her as their new head. Changes were going to come, and he hoped…no he prayed to be at her side when she took on the role officially.
He closed the distance between them and raised his right hand to cup her cheek gently.
“I’m indebted to you. And I want you to know, that I would do anything for you, Mariela. I’d die for you.”
It was true. Scar was in love with the girl. He could shout it from the rooftops, if he had the courage – but he wanted her to say that she loved him. For all the crazy things he had done in the past, he felt that he may not be worthy of what would be the greatest prize…..her love.
