Nicholas had laid there in bed and watched Valmont talk, his voice was rather soothing. It was great to have someone like him around, especially since they were now engaged. It made things much more closer then they were, something he wanted to have forever. Hearing him speaking of Hiei to go to Hell’s Kitchen he was kind of shocked, it was a bit away and to call for that one doctor. Nicholas knew that he wanted him to be in better shape quickly, it was something that he wanted too. Groaning a bit under the sheets, he’d watch as Val came to sit and heard what he said. Nicholas held onto Valmont’s hand with a soft smile and softly breathed out.

” You shouldn’t take work off for me, you have a bunch of stuff to do Valmont. I’d be perfectly fine, knowing that you’re always near.” He said and looked over towards Hiei, he’d only give him a nod that he was grateful he was going to do what Valmont asked.

Nicholas took his hand from Valmont’s and turned, shifting over to the other side of the bed. Crawling a bit he’d open his door and pulled out a small thin box, what did it hold? Something Nicholas had gotten earlier in the week, that he wanted to give in return. Going back to Valmont’s side, he’d sit up and took his hand, setting the box in it.

” This is something that I want you to have, as a token of love.” Nicholas spoke and tilted his head, his hair falling everywhere as he smiled.

Once Valmont opened the box, it’d hold a silver chain, a ring attached to it. It was sorta like a pendant but, inside the ring it had the words. ‘Forever and always, Love Nic.” On the top would be small fancy letters written as N&V, it was something he took time to make and get made.

Hiei :” Understood ; I will retrieve The Doctor as soon as I possibly can .”

– Hiei took another puff of his cig and turned on his heel ; walking back out of the room and making his way out of the Building. Hell’s Kitchen was it ? Hiei had no time to waste ; and he didn’t waste anytime in sprinting full speed into the distance ; turning into a shadow as soon as he was gone to cover ground faster . He had to find the Doctor for Valmont and Nicholas , and hopefully he was able to do so in a optimal manner . He was a Gentleman after all and he didn’t like disappointing people with inefficiency . He would return to the Embassy with the Doctor , if that was a choice that could be taken upon arriving .-

Arriving at the outer gates was a well dressed young man upon horseback. He had the look and style of a lord of Hell, but there was something else about him. Almost…feminine in a way. No one could ever say he was rugged. With a small parchment, that he read, Elijah pocketed it once more and then gave his horse a light kick, before trotting up the main drive of the Embassy. What was his reason for visiting the Embassy you might wonder? Turns out that there had been an advertisement at the local inn for a new Physician for the Ambassador. It had been some time since the call had been put out, but Elijah had just been travelling through when he had seen the want ad nailed to the upright support in the inn.

Dismounting near the front entrance, a stable hand came out and took the reigns of the man’s horse. Even he was taken aback with how this man appeared. Surely he was not one of the better looking Princes of Hell. Truth be told, he wasn’t. With a small black bag, he strolled up to the front entrance and knocked twice. A butler was quick to answer, since Hiei had left the Embassy for Hell’s kitchen.

“Sir?’

“Yes, I have come to speak to the Ambassador about the position of House Physician.”

“Ah…really. How odd.” Turns out the butler knew nothing about this. Elijah handed over the parchment, and it bore the seal of Valmont’s office. With a surprised grunt, he allowed the man to enter, and then escorted him down the passage.“The Ambassador is with the young Nicholas. He is feeling poorly. Talk about timing.” The Butler said with a roll of the eyes. Coinicidences such as this were unusual to say the least.

“I am more than happy to treat the young man, to demonstrate my skills.”

“Hmmph.” The butler was not impressed, even though nearly every maid that watched the pair pass were positively drooling at the sight of this new…doctor.

Reaching the door to Nicholas’s room, the butler coughed, before knocking upon the door.

“Sirs, you have a visitor.”

Inside, Valmont had been opening the gift of the ring upon the chain that Nicholas had given to him in a special box. it was a gift to show Nicholas’s great love for the Ambassador, and Valmont leaned forward to kiss his lover on the forehead, before turning to the sound of the butler.

“We are a little busy.” Valmont sung out, wanting more privacy.

“He…claims to be a Doctor, Ambassador.”

“Wow…that was quick. Where is Hiei?’ Valmont sprang up off the bed, and raced for the door, only to open it and see the gruff looking butler with the insanely good looking Doctor.

“You’re not Wilhelm.” The Ambassador was surprised, that it was not the legendary Doctor Schwartz. Elijah looked a bit confused, since Valmont was expecting someone else. “Err…no, I’m Doctor Mackleson. I came about the ad, but I understand you have a sick…friend.” he glanced past Valmont into the room to see Nicholas sitting up in bed.

“And you must be Nicholas.” The new Doctor pushed past Valmont and made his way over to Nicholas’s bedside, opening his black bag and taking out a stethoscope. “May I have some privacy with the patient?” Elijah was not mucking about, though Valmont looked a bit miffed. “Uhm…..alright.” Tugging on his jacket, he gave Nicholas a worried look, before stepping out of the room and closing the door behind him.

With the room cleared of unwanted guests, Elijah smiled down at Nicholas.

“Now…tell me young man, what seems to be the trouble?”

Tsu:

The kiss to the forehead had felt nice, his lips were cool against his. Nicholas couldn’t get over it, he still sick but, slowly better. What was with the swings? Hearing the door he saw Valmont get off the bed and go towards the door. He looked over and saw the person, it wasn’t who he thought. But hearing that Valmont said he wasn’t the doctor he wondered who it was. He was sure a funny one to rush in like that and ask for privacy. Nicholas felt a bit nervous now, what was he to tell him? He wasn’t sure but, gave Valmont a small nod as he shut the door. Taking a moment Nicholas took the doctor in and examined him. He wasn’t a bad looking guy, he looked like a doctor too. Though something about him seemed a bit off, what was it? He didn’t know, but hearing him speak he sat up fully.

” Well.. I’ve been sick for the past week, throwing up and then recently the past couple of days, blood has been coming with it. I don’t know whats wrong.. I’ve never been sick and I am now. I feel so tired and dizzy after, also.. my appetite has increased, I eat way more then I use to. “ Nicholas said with a breath.

Moving out from under the sheets he’d reveal he was in the silk bath robe still. Swinging his legs over the bed he’d sit up fully, knowing that he’d want to examine him. The thing that worried him was that he’d find out about him. It was a doctors word to keep things private so, it’d be okay right? Many thoughts came to his head but, he wasn’t sure. He would just have to go with it now, coming back he’d look up at the doctor.

Do you know whats wrong with me? “

Razor:

With the Ambassador out of the room, and now it was just Nicholas and the new Doctor, he would now be able to get to the bottom of Nicholas’s illness. He naturally didn’t know anything about the young man who had been sitting in bed, but from what Nic was saying his symptoms were, they sounded a little strange. Throwing up blood? That brought a few theories to mind and none of them were pleasant ones. Nicholas had never been sick before this, and now he was dizzy, tired…and with a bigger appetite. Cocking a brow, as he dug about in his medical kit, the Doctor couldn’t help but say the first thing that popped into his head.

“Well, if you were a woman I could say that you are showing classic symptoms of pregnancy. Aha.” He had a little laugh at the end of what he said, only to turn back and see the young man now seated on the edge of the bed in nothing but a robe. Odd thing was that Nicholas had the shapely legs of a young woman. In fact, the closer that the Doctor stared at him, he started to notice a few things missing. Well….he couldn’t see any tell tale bulge which would be as plain as day in such a fine silk robe as the one he was wearing.

“Err. Nicholas, could you…open your robe please so I can give you a proper physical examination.” It was a Doctor’s job to be thorough in his investigation, but he truly wondered just what…if anything was under that robe now. He was starting to already suspect, that Nicholas was not all that he seemed to be.

“If you are concerned, I abide by a very strict ethical code of practice. What happens in this room stays between us. I believe in full Doctor patient confidentiality.”.

The Doctor calmly waited for the revealing, and what may well give him perfect insight into the nature of Nicholas’s illness.

Tsu:

It was quiet and he simply just watched the doctor think, what was he thinking about? Was he going to have something serious wrong with him? It worried him beyond apparel, as he watched him turn and dig into his medical kit. ‘Well, if you were a woman I could say that you’re showing the classic symptoms of pregnancy. Aha.’ That phrase alone made Nicholas freeze in his spot. Pregnant? Pregnant? He was Pregnant? Is that even possible?! Nicholas himself grew pale more then he was, how.. then he went back to him and Valmonts sessions, oh god. Thinking about it Nicholas never actually knew if one like him could get pregnant. Seeing the doctor look at him he watched him examine him and he could tell he was already catching up.

” Please don’t tell me I am, I don’t think its possible.. it must be something else, right?” Nicholas said as if he was scared.

Standing up he thought for a moment, he was going to reveal something he never shown anyone besides Valmont. But, he was reassured when he heard about him believing in patient confidentiality. A small sigh escape from his lips as he looked at the floor, this was so weird now.

” Well you see.. its a birth defect but, I’ll just let you look..” He said in a rather monotone voice, not entirely sure of anything at this moment.

His hands move to undue the robe and it opened up, sliding to the sides. He turned and stood in front of the doctor. He would see that he was indeed a half being.

Razor:

If you have a gut instinct about a situation, it is best to exercise caution and not jump to conclusions. Thankfully, the Doctor was showing a very good bedside manner, for when Nicholas expressed fear towards the Doctor’s comical thoughts on what could be wrong, he kept himself in check. “Only one way to find out.” The Doctor said simply. The answer came as something of a shock when Nicholas did open the robe. What it revealed was that while the top half or torso of Nicholas was male, the bottom part was very much female. The Doctor let out a long “ahhhh”, as soon as the robe was opened, and then Nicholas backed it up with his explanation that it was a birth defect. Elijah stepped forward and then took the edges of the robe to close it again and give back Nicholas’s modesty.

“I wouldn’t call it a birth defect, Nicholas.” Elijah said softly, as he then gestured for Nicholas to sit back down on the bed. “I would say that you are very special.” Now knowing what Nicholas actually was, helped a great deal in helping with the prognosis. “I take it that…the Ambassador is your lover?” Already the Doctor was starting to put two and two together, as he took out a small sample cup and handed it to Nicholas. “Cause, if he is….and you have the reproductive organs of a female, there is every possibility that you are in fact pregnant.”

Elijah knew that this might come as something of a shock, but it had to be said. “So far, everything you have described points to it. Once you give me a small urine sample, we will know for sure. Then I can prescribe what you need to help keep food down during the first trimester.”

There was no judgement from the doctor. He acted perfectly normal and civil towards Nicholas. The last thing the young man needed was to be looked down on or ridiculed.

Tsu:

It had been quiet as he watched the doctor look at him, surprisingly he didn’t feel nervous. Usually he was if someone was looking at him as he did. Why was that? Maybe because he was a doctor and he felt a bit safe about it. Seeing him lift the robe to close, Nicholas would take it and tie the rope around his waist. Sitting on the bed he listened, its not a birth defect? It had to be, no way was Nicholas special in anyway with this.

” I don’t think I’m special, cause if I was special.. then I wouldn’t of had a hell of a life in the beginning and outcast.” He said and sigh a bit.

Mentioning of Valmont he simply looked at the ground. Oh how was he suppose to tell Valmont this? Their was no way he could, what would he think? Nicholas shouldn’t be having these thoughts, he would be honest with him. He is his lover after all and this wouldn’t be different. Lost in thoughts he came back to reality when the doctor was handing him a cup.

” Yes, he is my Fiance. “ Nicholas said firmly with no hesitation.

Standing up he nodded his head, walking past the doctor and into the bathroom. Shutting the door he would stand there and think about everything, it was a lot. If Nicholas was pregnant, then he was carrying a child of an important man in hell. Oh how this would all turn out, he bit his lip some and went to the toilet to do what needed to be done. A couple of minutes later he’d return out with the cup, filled. Walking back towards him he would simply set it on the table and took a seat on the bed again, looking towards the doctor.

” I’m glad you’re not judgmental towards me.” Were the words that came from his lips as he waited to see.

Razor:

It was easy to pick up that Nicholas felt differently about himself to what the Doctor had said. Unlike many people, the Doctor was not at all judgmental when it came to his patients. In his eyes, everyone had something about them that made them different, or as the Doctor termed it – special. He did not believe that anyone should be persecuted for not being considered the norm. To Elijah there was no such thing. Perfection didn’t exist and if anyone believed that to be true, they were deluding themselves. Elijah regarded Nicholas carefully. It was clear that he had self confidence issues along with some regarding his body. The Doctor didn’t try to make light of the conversation now. This was a serious matter, when you thought about it. Nicholas had never been told that he could reproduce before, so this must have come as something of a complete shock.

With Nicholas confirming that the Ambassador was his fiance, the Doctor nodded. It explained the way that Valmont had acted when the Doctor appeared at the door. So very concerned, and more so than a normal employer. He knew full well who Valmont was, and so he was a little taken aback, till he worked out that Nicholas was part female. Nicholas had this gentleness about him, and a beauty that was unique. The more that the Doctor regarded him, the more he could see the attraction.

When Nicholas came back out from the bathroom, and set down the sample cup, the Doctor was quick to take out a pregnancy tester stick and place it inside the cup and swirling it around, before then taking it out and setting it upon a small dish. While the test was activating, Elijah went to take Nicholas’s arm and get his blood pressure to see if there was any issues caused by the possible pregnancy. Squeezing the pump, he offered a warm smile, when Nicholas said that he was grateful that Elijah was not judgmental.

“I just want to put your mind at ease, Nicholas. It is not my place to judge others. Hmm…its a little high, but not too bad.” Elijah spoke of Nicholas’s blood pressure, before taking off the wrap around his arm. Now, it was time to check the pregnancy stick…and sure enough.

“Well, according to your sample you are pregnant. Congratulations.”

Re: [RP] Embassy of Hell

Things had gotten very thick between the two males now. He could see how the emotions on Valmonts face changed, he had just realized what he did. Listening to his words he did love him, he loved no one else. Thinking about it, if Nicholas was in Valmont’s shoes and walked in like that, what would he of done? He surely wouldn’t of killed someone but, he would of been enraged by it. The sadness and confusion that was on Val’s face made Nicholas regret a bit of what he had said, he had said something else verses asking if he was okay. Once the door shut Nicholas stood there not entirely sure what he was suppose to do. So many things welled up inside him, he wasn’t sure if he was suppose to go after him or leave him. This was somewhat Nicholas fault too, he thought so. Hearing a knock at the door he saw someone he knew that he could trust. Mina, a small sigh of relief came to him.

” Mina, I need you to clean this up and cover it up, you’re so good at doing it. I will reward you later.” He said and the girl only smiled and nodded at him.

Moments after Nicholas was out the door, trailing after Valmont. He didn’t care if people were looking at him, thinking about what had just happened tears started to form in his eyes. Jogging he had sense Valmont near and saw his back, people were whispering and wondering what was going on. Finally in the spur of the moment, Nicholas had collided with Valmonts back, his arms wrapping around his waist. Tears had fallen from his eyes completely now as he squeezed the male tight in the embrace.

” It’s not your fault, you didn’t know what you were doing. I’m sorry, I should of been more focused on your feelings. “ He spoke, it coming out somewhat in a slur. Maids and workers were gathering around or hiding behind the turn ways watching. ” If I was in your shoes at the time, I would of probably done the same thing. I would of let jealously got the better of me. I don’t want to let you go. “ He spoke in a sincere tone and what he had said next would be ended with workers gasping. ” I love you Valmont! I’ll love no one else, I want to always be by your side, forever.” Nicholas said a bit louder then he expected.

People were whispering now and gossiping, oh how it was out there now. What would everyone think about it? It wasn’t known but, he didn’t care. He just wanted to hold this man in front of him. If Valmont had any doubts about Nicholas ever coming out about his sexuality and his relationship with Valmont, they’d be blow away now.

Embassy of Hell

Valmont was deep in thought. Troubled by the act of violence that he committed in front of his lover. The feeling of utter disappointment in himself for letting his jealous streak turn into a murderous stunt now left him wondering if Nicholas could ever forgive him. He walked silently with his head bowed. So shameful. It was eating him up inside, his stomach twisting up in knots. How could he face Nicholas again? Was the love affair over before it had truly blossomed?

The answer to this came in the form of hurried footsteps and the staff all raised their voices as the pair collided. Nicholas winding his arms around his lover as Valmont froze in his place. What on earth was he doing? Valmont could only wonder till he heard his lover say that it wasn’t Val’s fault.

“But…” All he could get out was one simple word, for Nicholas was speaking so fast it was impossible to interject. Now the focus was on the pair. There was no escaping this public outing. It was turning into a show, one which the maids and staff could hardly look away from. The truth was about to be exposed. There was no hiding it now.

One thing about Nicholas that remained true, was when he needed to get something off his chest. The words like a torrent that continued to flow till he was exhausted or got to the point.

But then with much power in his voice he declared his love for Valmont, much to the shock of the entire staff that were all watching and listening in. It was a spectacle. A real soap opera. There was no running from it.

Valmont reached down to take Nicholas’s hands and then turned so that the pair could look at each other. He would speak, but made sure it was loud and clear for all to hear.

“And you shall have me by your side. I’m not ashamed. I love you, and only you, Nicholas.”

The crowd gasped again, as they watched Valmont kiss his lover deeply, while his hands cupped his cheeks.

Re: [RP] Embassy of Hell

Gasps and gossiping had erupted and Nicholas didn’t care, at the moment he only cared about the man in front of him. He never wanted to let him go, truly. He heard his but and didn’t have any response to it, he had a fault in this too, he wouldn’t let Valmont be the only one to take blame for it. Biting his lip some he’d feel him turn in his grasp and hold his hand. A small blush came to his cheeks, they were doing this in front of the people. Would this mean they’d be official now then? It most likely would, it’d be interesting to see how it turned out. Hearing his words he only smiled at them, really listening and accepting them. Once he felt his lips to his own, he would lift his hands up to grab a hold of Valmonts shirt, pulling him in more.

His lips moved against his in a deep passion, he so enjoyed it and wished it could be like that forever. But, he knew well enough that it couldn’t and things would be back to the way they were. Just this time around everyone would know and they wouldn’t need to hide, besides if they got really intimate. The thought kind of made him laugh in his head, he’d never get naked in front of someone else, let alone like Val would let him to it. His hands relaxed a bit but kept hold of his shirt, his eyes were shut now. Nothing else was in that room besides the two, the other people were non existent to him. He could take that their were glares at him and a couple of blushes from other girls at the moment and he didn’t care if the female workers hated him, he had what he wanted and he wouldn’t let anything get in the way. Those were his words but, it would change later on and he didn’t know that.

The kiss was one of true love. Anyone watching could see that. Valmont was totally unashamed, in fact he was more than happy to give the staff of the Embassy a real show. His moans grew as he kissed Nicholas with a passion that was usually reserved for the bedroom. His hands wandering from the young man’s back to his ass, where he pulled him tight to his own hips.

Yes, the staff gasped, some were shocked while others were blushing fiercely. It was like some erotic display. You might be led to think that the Ambassador would take him right then and there – against the nearest wall.

Feeling the young man holding his shirt, Valmont let out a growl of pleasure and only pulled away from the kiss when he had made up his mind about how to deal with all this in a manner that would leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that the pair were an item.

Valmont reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch. He smiled down at it as he undid the small silk string that held it closed tight and the edges opened, as he put his hand in and retrieved a necklace. But there was something hanging on the edge that was like that of a ring.

The ambassador got down on one knee, much to the shock of the audience that had now gathered. This was the most dramatic thing to happen in the embassy since the last meeting of the Princes. Clearing his throat, he held up the ring towards his lover, and with a glint in his eyes he asked the question that would have all gasp once more.

“Nicholas. I never thought I would ever ask anyone this, but my feelings for you are stronger than just love. I want you to be the one that I wake up to. I want you to be the one that shares my bed. You are everything I have ever searched for in a soul mate. What I am asking is…..Nicholas, will you be my wife?”

Re: [RP] Embassy of Hell

The softness and comfort of the kiss had been one Nicholas missed. He wanted to always kiss Valmont but, there was passion behind this one. Feeling his hands down his back and onto his ass, pulling him against a moan would slip out. Nicholas could already feel his body working in wanting more, but it ended as he pulled away. His face was slightly red and he simply looked at Valmont, he loved his so much. What made him curious was that he was looking in his pocket and pulled out a small package, seeing it unwrapped he wondered what it was. It looked like a necklace, a ring on it? It must of been some gift and joy was spreading through him. He was glad to be receiving something from his lover but, once he was down on one knee, he froze. What was he doing? Is he doing what I think he is doing? No.. it can’t be, is it? So much had rushed through his head at that moment, it felt like the air had been sucked out of him. Everyone was gasping, along with Nicholas himself, he couldn’t believe the sight before him.

Nicholas was speechless, surprise had shocked him beyond belief. This man, that he had known for years, who is now his lover his proposing to him. Nicholas never thought it’d happen in his life, it was truly a dream. He just stood there staring at him, did he want to? It didn’t cross his mind but, a lot came with marriage, something he wasn’t sure about. This had all still been new for him. You’d think he was going to run away but, he didn’t. He stayed and put his hand down onto his, holding his hands in his with the necklace. Nicholas dropped to his knees with Val and smiled a warm smile, slightly letting a couple of tears fall, tears of joy. Moments later he looked Valmont straight in the eyes, wanting him to see how he was and that he loved him just as much. He didn’t care if people knew about them now, or knew of what Nicholas was, he had let it out when he asked for him to be his wife.

” Yes, I will.”

Re: [RP] Embassy of Hell
The Embassy of Hell

What a difference a day makes. The news of Valmont’s proposal had ripped around the Embassy like wildfire. No one on staff or those associated with the Embassy were even aware of their affair, so the whole thing was totally out of the blue. On rising, Valmont had gone down to the staff quarters and then walked straight into the staff dining hall, where all were seated to breakfast. On his arrival, the chairs were all pushed back, as they all rose to standing at the Ambassador’s unexpected arrival. It was unusual for him to even be in the lower part of the Embassy, but he had very good reason. The Head of house, Mister Crawford stood to attention – while the maids and footmen all waited and watched expectantly to what Valmont had to say.

Pulling lightly upon his right cuff, he urged all to take their seats again and apologized for interrupting their breakfast. With all being urged to take their seats again, by Mister Crawford, Valmont was then ready to say what he had come down for.

“I’m sure that you are all well aware of my proposal to Nicholas to be my wife.”

Again, the staff all stared at one another silently, before Mister Crawford was game enough to answer.

“One could hardly miss such news, Sir.”

“Quite. Well, I know that Nicholas has been considered a member of staff here for a long time, but that is all to change. Starting today. He is to have breakfast served to him in his room as is customary to those of higher standing in the household. Nicholas is to be treated with the utmost respect, and there shall be no ill whispers to be said about the engagement.”

The staff room was still in silence, but you could see a few heads nodding, now that they understood that this was a very real situation, though some may find it unusual.

“I shall have Benson wait on him and arrange a breakfast tray immediately, Sir.” Mister Crawford motioned for cook to go and make preparations for Nicholas’s tray immediately, which she left the dining table right away to do. Benson stood up from the staff dining table and bowed, before going to help in the kitchen. Seeing as everyone was keeping their thoughts to themselves, Valmont was about to leave, when a young maid couldn’t help but ask.

“Is there to be a spring wedding, Sir?” The hubub and rise of voices brought an amused expression from the Ambassador.

“Well, we will have to see what Nicholas wants. it’s not really for me to say.” Happy that his instructions had been taken on board, he bid the staff a good day, and headed back upstairs towards his office. He had a spring in his step and a broad smile upon his face. He was more than happy to let Nicholas sleep in today. He was going to need all the energy he could muster, if the Ambassador had anything to say about it. Course, there was the matter of Zachary who was still on the trail of Bandit and the unborn child. That was still in the back of his mind, naturally. There had been no progress reports, but it was still too early to speculate if Zachary had found her before Raul did.

Entering his office, a staffer was ready with a coffee pot and poured Valmont a cup.

“I never pictured you as a married man, Sir.” The staffer said, as Valmont took the offered cup. “Neither did I, Jenson…Neither did I.”

Dream Lover.

In a new arc, that is continuing on from “Checkmate”, it has been a month since Nick experienced the Wraith’s illusion of dinner.  What he thought was a dream had to be real, and he was determined to find her again.

SA:  Side effects. Everything has its side effects, consequences one must pay for something they’ve done. Like a bad pill which cures the illness to then cause certain side effects, that was what happened to the male – The taste of her blood still lingering within him, her name still flicking just at the tip of his tongue. The side effects of playing with a Wraith. A month has now passed since the beautiful illusion she cast upon his mind, a month since their feeding session – A month in which she resumed her little game, moving from place to place in search for new victims – An always starving Monster, on the prowl for new meals. The cards guided her wherever she ~needed~ to be, for they truly never lied – They moved in tune with the energies of their surroundings, guiding their owner to a new prey, as the Predator would trap someone else in her web, like a true Black Widow. Where was she now? Far from him, that was certain.. Somewhere it seemed in a different side of the world, somewhere in the mountains topped with thick layers of snow, somewhere to find apparent ~shelter~ reaching a Tavern as vision cast itself beyond the black mask to its patrons, scanning their energy to find something worthy of being her meal – Eventually, she did. There was a man, enjoying his ale alone at a distant table, which made her wonder just why he wasn’t joining the crowd, the first sign that he would’ve been different enough to prove his worth. With slow steps, the Predator moved in, repeating her chant about Fortune Telling as she plucked the deck of Tarot out, sitting across from him. The man was of a massive stature, with muscles bulging out from his chest armor. A warrior, a gladiator of sorts – She was already thinking of what to feed on from him… Maybe Pride. Wrath. Who knew? Perhaps he’d prove himself worthy enough to have her feed on his Lust, if she liked his answers. The table was set. The cards began shuffling. The hunger was slowly rising, once more.

RB: –  A month had passed, this is true.  The moment that Nick had awoken from what he had thought was a dream, the vampire could not help but feel that the mysterious woman was inside him.  Teasing his mind and pulling at was once a dead heart.  Taking only his jacket and sword, and the tarot card of strength that was left on the bed, Nick made his way back up to the Queen’s grand royal throne room.  Standing in the midst of the images of thousands of years of nobles, he cupped his hands and removed the golden flower from within himself.  Groaning loudly as the pain to release him from the Queen’s orders was significant, he placed the rose inside a glass case, and hid it in behind the throne curtain, where nobody would ever bother to look.  Knowing that the rose was safer there, than within him, he took his final look at what he was leaving behind.  No doubt there would be hell to pay eventually, but for now, he had another quest that he needed to solve.  Pulling a hood up over his head, Nick had a grim expression as he turned away from all he had known, and started off out of the castle grounds, in search of the fortune teller.

Out in the stables were many of the Queen’s own horses.  Nick walked past each till he spotted a white stallion.  It was the purity of white, in complete contrast to the man himself.  Saddling it up himself, all he could think of was those astonishing blue eyes of hers.  Sophia filled his head each time he closed his eyes, when he should be thinking of other things, like feeding.  Mounting the stallion, he took up the reigns in his right hand and kicked it hard in the flank, sending it galloping out of the stables and down the winding track that was to lead him far from the Kingdom.  Days turned into weeks, only stopping to feed on unsuspecting farmers, and resting when the horse was feared to become lame.  His mission would see him pass through different lands and a change in season.  Finally arriving one night at a tavern that was off the beaten track.  Snow was now falling heavily, and the white stallion was coughing violently.  It needed its rest.  Bringing the horse into the barn beside the tavern, he let it into a stall, and took off the saddle.  Hearing the hubbub and music that came from within the tavern that would offer warmth and a prospective meal, the fur wearing vampire headed towards the door.  Only on opening, would he get the shock of his life.  There…up the back was the woman that he had been searching so long for.  It was also at that moment, he witnessed she had the tarot cards out.  Nick inhaled sharply, as the tavern keeper roared at him to close the door, because he was letting the heat of the room escape.  Not bothering to remove his hood, he closed the door with a loud bang, before thudding over to the bar, to order a drink.  His grey steel eyes;  now watching her from beneath the darkness of his hood. –

SA:  The thud was more than audible, and yet she didn’t turn to see who it was – The woman was into the game now, which made her concentration be fully diverted towards the man across from her, her newfound prey. There was a moment though, where she felt something in her chest, like somebody pulling at the string of a bond she created awhile back – She felt a certain bond pulsating, which only installed the feeling of anticipation within her – He was close. Closer than she could ever imagine, craning her head to the side to lightly offer a gaze beyond that black mask towards the man who just entered. That was new. For once, she was actually surprised and knew too much to place it under the sign of Faith or a simple coincidence. There was a small grin across her features, Cheshire-like and almost seductive offered to the male before she returned to her meal. Stabbing her palm lightly, she allowed that solitary black drop of her blood to eat the woodwork of the table like acid, which meant her pact was about to be formed – Her game, beginning. The seductive grin was now offered to her meal as free hand reached towards him, lightly brushing those soft fingertips along the male’s shoulder blade. “My my… I do wonder why someone in such a great physical shape would like a Reading for me…” Flirting now, playing with her prey only to make sure he was gripped and tangled in her web by the end of it. Right while another was watching her doings, almost offering a deja-vu feeling.

RB:  It was all coming back to him.  Like a foggy memory bursting into colour.  Having taken a seat at the bar, the vampire slowly removed his leather gloves as the bartender was wiping down the worn timber surface.  Nick tapped the bar top twice, and the bar keep seemed to know what the vampire wanted.  Reaching under the counter and bringing out a jug of whiskey.  As he went to pour Nick a mug full, Nick kept looking back at the table where the fortune teller was playing her game.  From the moment she cut her hand, and the black oozed onto the table top, Nick felt as though he was sitting opposite her again.  The sliding of the mug on the bar however, broke his train of thought, and his head turned back to face the bar.  Fingers like ice gripped around the mug and he brought it to his lips, only to hear the voice of the fortune teller, now saying flirtatious words to her newest prey.  Nick lowered his head, and started to muse this.  Was that all he had been to her?  A meal?  Was this journey to find her going to end in bitter disappointment?  As the snow started to fall harder outside, he knew that he wouldn’t be going anywhere in a hurry.  So, if this was to be the night’s entertainment, she had better make it a good one. –

~RB~

SA:  This happened to be a lot more of a coincidence. This went beyond Faith or Destiny or whatever else people blame it on when something so unreasonable happens that they cannot find a straight answer – Meeting each other twice was far from coincidence. She realized that, the moment she felt those strings being pulled, the strings of their bond, which she created after the feeding. Sophia glanced over from the corner of her eye towards the man at the bar before redirecting her focus towards her prey, as the cards followed their course of shuffling idly before placing themselves in that 3-Star Fold formation, the same one she used for the Vampire. Her Reading began – The cards were different, each one of them so carefully explained by the Reader while, at the bar, people started to talk. Because of course, people love to gossip especially when they see such an abnormal woman doing such an abnormal thing most people cannot grasp the meaning of. 2 or 3 men talked at the bar about how ‘hot’ she was, while others started placing bets on the woman spending the night with that brute she was facing – All the while, she ignored everything – Human nature only disguised itself by elegance when in reality, it was all the animal instinct. Curiosity, mixed with cockiness. Ignoring it fully, Sophia returned to her ‘guest’ as it was her turn. His question was along the line of Power and how to gain it, which made her roll her eyes beneath the black mask in irony, a question she had heard numerous times again, only adding a black dot to him, so far. And then, the 3 questions she asked… Answers were far from pleasing. Even at a distance, one attentive enough would notice that the white haired woman was beginning to get irritated with that barbarian, tapping her long claws against the acid rotten woodwork, impatient for her meal. This wasn’t a man to waste time with – This was a true, worthless meal.

RB:  The voices at the bar grew louder, as the fortune teller and her barbarian guest were now the only thing really worth watching in the establishment.  Naturally, there were already lewd suggestions being thrown about, as well as bets being made to see just how far she would go out in the open.  The more that the men spoke about her, the tighter Nick’s grip became around the mug he was holding.  He went to take a sip of the whiskey to try and dull his feelings, but the very idea that she was going to be taking this man out for “dinner” as he know called her game after the final card fell, made him rage internally from jealousy.  His lips drew into a thin line while he drummed his fingernails on the bar top.  Even though she was paying him no attention, and not even speaking to him, he could hear her.  Feel her.  Like the blood that he had consumed from her was now like a siren singing as he was in such close quarters to her.  ~Mine.~  That word.  Ownership.  Both had said it to each other.  Oh he had fed in his travels, but none had the sweetness, the fire that Sophia did.  Her blood was addictive.  Addictive enough to drive a man insane;  if he was to go without it.    More laughter was heard from the group of drunken men that were deliberating on going over and cheering the barbarian on to take the wench out to the barn and let them all take turns.  Silver hues flashed as anger and jealousy was combining into a deadly force.  Though still sitting at the bar, he dug his hand into his coat…ready for anything. –

SA:  Pink organ slithered out of oral cavity only to slowly drag along those scarlet lips of hers, a gesture that would be easily mistaken for seduction and yet, it was a gesture to produce her hunger now to unimaginable levels, almost uncontrolled, as the last card was close to drawing out. And it did. The voices in the back of the bar would continue, more and more pronounced now of all the obscene things their minds could grasp. ‘Bet she could use that mouth for something better than rambling on nonsense.’ – ‘I’m taking her out when she’s done’ – ‘Leave something for me’ – The banter went on and on as she continued her little game, now drawing to its finale. There it was, the last card, the one meant for the Reader, jolting out of the deck and into her palm as a small gush of smoke went out from it. A grimace of pure irritation on her features at the sight of ~that~ card. The exact one she received with Nick’s Reading, the card that was meant for her and her alone. She would put it back into her deck soon after only to direct her attention back to the man, hearing the brute speak. “So… What’s your price? I don’t have much gold on me… But I bet we can work something out…” That devious, lust filled grin on his face, cracking along his lips as he spoke gave her the confirmation she needed, as tendrils began to loop around the table now, while she sat in her seat with a Cheshire-like sardonic smile on alabaster facial features, musing out one single word. “Dinner.” – She knew he was there, listening. If this was deja-vu, then she just invited the brute for dinner, which was what everyone at the bar thought, starting to hoot and cheer for the barbarian, some even asking to tag along. But in truth, what she mused out wasn’t a question. It wasn’t the invitation she offered Nick – It was a statement.

RB:  -The trigger word to the rise of the beast.  ~Dinner~  Nick had heard enough, and for what was about to happen in that tavern was to be a blood bath and horrific trail of death to any that had dared to suggest that they would be touching the woman he regarded as his.  The hooded snow covered cloak that he wore had barely been ripped off and fallen to the floor, when the vampire moved at insane speed.  His body a blur of silver, black and red.  Each man would be drinking their own blood, as he tore through the crowd.  The quicksilver of his blade slicing the necks open of the first two men.  Another would find a dagger thrust into his forehead only to be sticking out the back, as shocked eyes stared out at the enraged killer.  The barkeep ducked behind the bar, as the whores that had been circling the room ran for cover.  Their screams ringing out as from the outside of the bar, all you could see was the shadows dancing behind the snow filled panes.  Bodies were falling all around.  All accept the barbarian and the fortune teller.  This was all happening so fast that it would have been a bit much for the pair to take in.  But she’d know.  Oh yes.  With the connection that they had now, the irrefutable bond – Nick’s murderous rampage was as much to protect her as it was to show he was seriously pissed.  Only when the last male fell, his neck torn open by the vampire’s blood covered maw, would silence again fill the room.  Only the odd gurgle of blood that spewed from the mouth of the one that claimed he was going to be next.  He was….the next to die.  At the end, Nick stared at Sophia and her meal.  He strode over and picked up his cloak, before throwing a few coins on the barkeep to pay for the damages.  “My room..”  The barkeep popped his head up over the bar and tossed Nick a key, which he caught on the fly.  One last growl at those that remained, and he trudged upstairs slowly. –

 ~RB~

SA:   “Oh, my.” Was all she uttered out when the massacre happened. When all hell broke loose and the man went on a rampage seemingly to avenge her dignity on those who have spoiled it with the obscene words, much like a protector. Or maybe a jealousy scorned lover. Right now, she would not interfere as one hand rose up to snap her fingers lightly only to allow those dark tendrils to cocoon both her and the barbarian securely from the damages as blood would splatter against the dark shadows, soon devouring the crimson. All the while, she observed behind those shadows, grinning as the massacre went on, while the barbarian kept trying to escape. There was no escape. A little before he got his key, a little after the massacre stopped, the shadows removed themselves, allowing vision upon the woman and man again – the brute kept struggling in his seat, cowardly pleading the woman to let him go, visibly horrified by what he had just witnessed – But that was nothing, in comparison to what was going to happen to him. Dark tendrils kept him secured to his seat as the woman sighed, almost disappointedly shaking her head. “Truly sorry for the interruption… I’m afraid I’ll have to make this quick, this time. Somebody’s waiting for me, upstairs.” With that, she rose from her seat, pivoting on heels only to turn around, giving the impression of walking away which would have relaxed the man back into his seat. Before it happened. Tendrils reached seemingly from within the woman, morphing his form into that of a disfigured black shadow, resembling an open maw with sharp fangs. Like a shark’s maw, about to devour the man in his seat, which it did. Like a Killer Whale, it enveloped him deep into the shadows, removing him from his seat as only his screams echoed through the darkness of the shark, until there was no trace left of him. Soon, the illusion shattered, leaving the woman to stand, facing the bartender, offering quite the innocent smile. “Sorry for the damages…” An oddly shaped gold coin was tossed over on the counter before she made her way upstairs, her steps only coming to follow his. As he entered the room, she’d stop the door from closing, slithering her physique through the crack as her body leaned up against the side of the door. She wouldn’t speak – She didn’t feel the need to. She wanted him to speak, first.

RB:  Tossing down his blood splattered cloak on the back of a chair, the vampire was starting to unbutton his shirt, when he felt that same presence that he had in his dreams.  Like a spider she managed to ease herself through the crack of the door and presented herself by leaning against the side of the door.  Her silhouette like a dark shadow that cast its spell over him again.  Nick kept his back to her as he removed his shirt that was now truly soiled by the blood of the fallen.  When he did speak, there was a dark rumble to it.  Like the thunder of an approaching storm.  “Enjoy dinner?”  So now it was him asking the questions.  Nick threw his shirt on the table, and rounded to see her standing there, waiting.  His chest was rising and falling – riddled with scars from the many battles and fights he had in the time since he had last seen her.  The search for her had led him to the darkest parts of the underworld and back.  Nick had dark stubble upon his chin that she may not have noticed before.  A jagged scar running down his cheek.  They were not so much scars, but to him trophies, badges that he wore with pride.  The blade that he had used to slay many of the punters downstairs was on the very edge of the table, dripping blood upon the floor.  Did she know that he had abandoned everything to search for her, after their last meeting?  A lone wolf that hunted day and night for her across many realms.  Only to find her about to feast on another in this dilapidated road side inn.  Nick slowly walked across the room to stand in front of her.  His masculine scent now riddled with that of the blood of fresh kills.  Did she feel the same pull inside of her the way that he did?  Her beauty was now on full display, having eaten she tended to be softer in appearance, her skin now flawless, and radiant.  “Well?”  –

~RB~

SA:  “I did.” Her answer was blunt, honest. So blunt that she willingly admitted to have fed when he left, without wondering about the side-effect it had on him, even though she knew. Did she? She was glowing, now. Every time after freshly feeding, she had a certain glow to her skin, as if the alabaster became less pale and obtained a very subtle rose hue to it, almost appearing more human than she was. Her cheeks, a little plumper than usual and her eyes lacking the subtle dark circles under them. Her body even gaining a little bit of a curve to it, from its rather anorexic visage. A hand went up to unhook her own coat, letting it be tossed somewhere against a chair nearby, revealing her corset dress. Strapless, with a sweetheart neckline, and pitch black, knee length only to allow her pale, beautiful long legs to show. Such a tight fit, creating that beautiful curve of her body, revealing her slender figure of an hourglass. Same hand reached up, slowly letting those soft fingertips trail along the scars on his chest, before reaching that on his cheek, cupping it lightly. She looked at him, beyond the black mask as those scarlet lips parted so delicately creating just a small gap between them as she whispered out. “Why are you here…?”

RB:  –  Nick was angry.  No, he was more than that.  He was jealous, angry and tormented.  Seeing her filled with her latest feed made him wish that it was HIM that she fed on.  Did she not guess by the way he tore through every other male in the tavern, that he would kill any that dared speak or attempt to touch her.  Though she was still wearing the mask over her eyes, that she kept from letting anyone see, she was sure to ‘see’ him.  To feel all that he was as she was already deep inside him.  His Adam’s apple rose and fell when she answered him so bluntly.  Like it wasn’t important, even though to Nick it was.  The vampire watched as she so casually started to disrobe, showing off her new curvaceous form, thanks to the unwilling barbaric brute downstairs – who was now nothing other than a quickly fading memory.  Nick’s eyes followed her unblinking, till she approached him and then reached up to trail her fingers along the many scars on his chest.  He was unable to help but flinch at her touch, as though for her to touch him was like being hit by an electrical current.  The beast was still close to the surface, growling angrily as though pent up behind an invisible wall.  Nick’s jaw locked when her hand moved to cup his face.  It was like, now he was facing her, the many questions, the long sleepless nights with her hovering over him like a spectre were all filtering into his mind.  She affected him like no other, and now she wanted to know…why was he here.  He would not answer her with words, but with actions.  Swift to pick her up by the cheeks of her ass, and draw her up upon him so they were face to face.  His lips crushed to hers as she would have no choice but to wrap those arms around his neck one more time.  He wanted her to be real.  Nick needed to know that what happened between them was not a dream. –
